What actually happens is that even minor, let alone major crisis, like the 2008 meltdown or this pandemic, although appear like the conspiracist "I told you so" mantra extravaganza, are actually forcing a great volume of the unaware masses to question their realities. And this awareness is the critical point many of us missing here. Doom wakes up people. It works counterproductive to the planned fear mongering and has the opposite result. So. Bring it on. I tend to agree with you Dim. As we are seeing, the truth is surfacing bit by bit and the lies, built upon more lies, are unraveling day by day.

I noticed a common reoccurring pattern of (manufactured) crisis ... Blueprint for Global Technocratic (http://technocracy.news) Tyranny:

01. First they frame (lie) the in my view, false narrative of assumed/alleged "future doom scenario(s)" with provable rigged data done by carefully selected corrupt scientists. Then they use "perception managers" (spin-doctors) to whitewash all possible contradictions that are accidentally discussed in mass-media (damage control?).

They may even admit the inconsistencies, but use advanced marketing tactics (psywars (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_warfare)) with all kinds of generalizations that the people already hear day in day out 24/7 via brainwashing mass media. And I have to admit, breaking this mass conditioning is not an easy task.

02. Then they deliberately narrow the options "how to deal" with their assumed future doom scenario(s).

03. They attack anyone who dares to go beyond their pushed narrow narrative and label them as "conspiracy theories" & " deniers" spreading "fake news or dangerous (harmful) misinformation" all done of-course with big help from Big Tech social media platforms censor algorithms. ... It's not only that they use the "good" people.

I think the problem lies also in the fact that a large part of the people really can not think "out of the box" (either because they are really "stupid"*** or because they are under the mind control & peer pressure of the popular propaganda).

I personally know many people who really have a good heart, but are also really too "Stupid"*** (their mind really does not function fast and well enough to understand anything of what is going on in this world).
It breaks my heart to see these people follow the propaganda and adds for everything that's actually bad for them.

On the other hand what they're doing creates problems for the people who can still seperate good advice from adds; propaganda etc.

Still have not figured out how to deal with this. One really can not explain anything to them.

Has anyone got some advice or tips on this?

After nearly two years now of consultation, CEOs have told me that we need to bring together global industries to map out in very practical terms what it will take to make the transition. We know from the pandemic that the private sector can speed up timelines dramatically when everyone agrees on the urgency and the direction. So each sector needs a clear strategy to speed up the process of getting innovations to market.

New Delhi authorities announced Saturday a one-week closure of schools and said they would consider a "pollution lockdown" to protect citizens from toxic smog.
"Schools will be shut so that children don't have to breathe polluted air," Delhi's chief minister Arvind Kejriwal told reporters.

On Saturday, the Supreme Court suggested imposing a lockdown on Delhi to combat the air quality crisis.

Kejriwal said that construction activity would be halted for four days to cut down dust from vast, open sites.

The Central Pollution Control Board on Friday advised authorities to prepare "for implementation of measures under 'emergency' category".

The new Cook et al. survey (http://iopscience.iop.org/1748-9326/8/2/024024/article) of the scientific literature is attracting worldwide media attention and even the American president tweeted (https://twitter.com/BarackObama/status/335089477296988160) (“Ninety-seven percent of scientists agree: #climate (https://twitter.com/search?q=%23climate&src=hash) change is real, man-made and dangerous.”) about it. Yesterday my own first reaction on twitter was: “All this talking about consensus http://iopscience.iop.org/1748-9326/8/2/024024/pdf/1748-9326_8_2_024024.pdf … (https://t.co/rY4EEgsnd2) doesn’t improve our understanding of climate even a tiny bit” And I added that “it shows again how meaningless this kind of consensus analysis is”.

Now I still support the label “meaningless” but today I will add “misleading” to the list.
So what’s all the fuzz about? Cook et al. selected around 12,000 scientific abstracts that contained the words “global warming” or “global climate change” published in the period 1991-2011. With a large group of volunteers they then rated the papers using 7 categories. Around 8000 of the abstracts (2/3) take no clear position on Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW). Of the remaining ~4000 abstracts more than 97% “endorse AGW” according to the paper. Only a tiny amount (78 papers) “reject AGW”. Hence they claim again that there is a consensus, that the debate is over and also that there is a gap between scientists and the public (see graph above). A much larger percentage of the scientists “endorses AGW” than the public at large.

Misleading

Now here comes the misleading part. If an abstract/paper “endorses AGW”, what would this mean for most people? Let’s look again at the tweet of Obama: “#climate (https://twitter.com/search?q=%23climate&src=hash) change is real, man-made and dangerous”. If this is what it means for the president of the US, it probably means the same for many citizens who heard the news in the media. However, can this be sustantiated by the survey results? In no way.
To the credit of the researchers they made all their results available in a searchable database (https://www.skepticalscience.com/tcp.php?t=search). Their rating system (https://www.skepticalscience.com/tcp.php?t=rate_papers&a=guidelines) is online as well. There are 7 levels of endorsement, going from quantified endorsement of AGW all the way down to a quantified rejection of AGW. Seems fair enough. But here is the issue. Only the first category can be regarded as a real or strong endorsement of AGW. Here is the description of category 1:
1. Explicit Endorsement of AGW with quantification
1.1 Mention that human activity is a dominant influence or has caused most of recent climate change (>50%).
1.2 Endorsing the IPCC without explicitly quantifying doesnt count as explicit endorsement – that would be implicit.
Now specifically look at 1.1. This comes close to the iconic statement from the IPCC AR4 (https://www.ipcc.ch/publications_and_data/ar4/wg1/en/spmsspm-understanding-and.html) report which said that “Most of the observed increase in global average temperatures since the mid-20th century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations.” Now if 97% of the abstracts would repeat in slightly varying terms this major conclusion, than at least the conclusion of the survey would be more or less fair. However the survey doesn’t come even close.
Brandon Shollenberger, who is guest blogger at The Blackboard, was the first who reported (http://rankexploits.com/musings/2013/on-the-consensus/) that actually only 65 papers have been rated “category 1”. Yes that’s right, only 65 abstracts clearly “mention that human activity is a dominant influence or has caused most of recent climate change (>50%)”. 65 on a total of 12,000 is 0.5%. So a completely fair conclusion from their survey is that only 1 in 200 abstracts explicitly mentioned that humans are dominating climate. If you ignore the 8000 papers that were labelled category 4 (neutral, meaning having no position on AGW) the 65 would be 1.6%. The paper reported that only 78 papers (1.9% if you ignore the 8000 neutral abstracts) rejected AGW. (to be fair, as you can see in the table below only 10 papers fall in category 7 and therefore (7.1) “explicitly reject or minimise anthropogenic warming with a specific figure”.)

Now where is the 97% endorsement of AGW coming from? What the authors did is to add up the numbers of category 1 to 3 and of the category 5 to 7 which I show below*:
Category 1: 65
Category 2: 934
Category 3: 2933
Category 4: 8261
Category 5: 53
Category 6: 15
Category 7: 10
Total: 12271
As you can see the 78 “rejection of AGW” abstracts are the added number of category 5-7. Category 1-3 together adds up to 3932 papers. This 3932 divided by 4010 (the total of category 1-3 + 5-7) gives their impressive 97% (with the above numbers it is even 98%, see * for more explanation about how these numbers were found). However of these 3932 abstracts 2933 (75%) fall in category 3. Now how strong is the endorsement of AGW in this category? Here is the description:
3. Implicit Endorsement of AGW
3.1 Mitigation papers that examine GHG emission reduction or carbon sequestration, linking it to climate change
3.2 Climate modelling papers that talks about emission scenarios and subsequent warming or other climate impacts from increased CO2 in the abstract implicitly endorse that GHGs cause warming
3.3 Paleoclimate papers that link CO2 to climate change
3.4 Papers about climate policy (specifically mitigation of GHG emissions) unless they restrict their focus to non-GHG issues like CFC emissions in which case neutral
3.5 Modelling of increased CO2 effect on regional temperature – not explicitly saying global warming but implying warming from CO2
3.6 Endorsement of IPCC findings is usually an implicit endorsement. (updated this so it is more than just reference to IPCC but actual endorsement of IPCC)
I like 3.2: “endorse that GHG’s cause warming”. I also strongly agree with this part of 3.5: “implying warming from CO2”. The meaningless result of their whole exercise is that 75% of the abstracts that say something about AGW at all “link CO2 to climate change” or “imply warming from CO2″.
The misleading part is that they didn’t specify this result in their paper. Nowhere in their paper or in the supplementary material they even mentioned the total numbers in the different categories like I did in the simple table above. They only showed the total of category 1-3 in their figure 1(a):

Even the other >24% of AGW endorsement (based on the 4010) in category 2 is pretty meaningless:
2. Explicit Endorsement of AGW without quantification
2.1 Mention of anthropogenic global warming or anthropogenic climate change as a given fact.
2.2 Mention of increased CO2 leading to higher temperatures without including anthropogenic or reference to human influence/activity relegates to implicit endorsement.
In a comment under his post Shollenberger (http://rankexploits.com/musings/2013/on-the-consensus/#comment-113188) nicely explains who the different categories skew the result towards “endorsement of AGW”:
To give an example, if we say, “Humans are responsible for 40% of global warming,” that puts us in the bottom category. Change the number to 60%, and suddenly we’re in the top category. But what if we don’t give a number at all? If we just say “Humans cause some global warming,” we could be supporting a value 20% or 90%. Despite being able to support either position, we’d land in the top categories. That means the results will automatically be skewed toward the top.

Self Confirming

Now for anyone who reads climate papers frequently this is totally obvious. Climate scientists have to frame their research in the abstract and there wouldn’t be so much climate papers if there was no concern for CO2.

So the whole result of this survey is completely self confirming. Because there is a concern for CO2 there is a lot of funding of climate science. This then generates a lot of climate science papers (they surveyed 12,000 but mention (https://www.skepticalscience.com/tcp.php?t=faq#allpapers) there are many more). In the abstracts scientists refer to the concern about CO2. The abstract then falls into category 2 or 3 and therefore almost all the papers “endorse AGW”.

How is it possible that the NOS continues to cling so uncritically to the weakness of the 97% consensus that is nonsense, if not scientific manipulation. So no science. I fear that it is Henk Hagoort's legacy to take a position and afterwards grab the arguments, which is highly unscientific.
Henk Hagoort, until recently boss of the Dutch Public Broadcasting, has admitted several times that he does not want objective reporting on the climate. He believes that NPO should encourage Dutch politicians to take stronger action against climate change. Turning away from a journalistic critical attitude with regard to climate reporting seems to have been in the NOS's genes ever since, because the NOS again (https://www-climategate-nl.translate.goog/2021/12/brief-aan-nos-npo-ombudsman-herinnering/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en) invokes the worst imaginable of all arguments, namely that 97% of the scientists. It is just an authority argument that has been canonized, because in reality there is no scientific evidence to support the CAGW (alleged dominant human influence on catastrophic warming) hypothesis. This so-called 97% proof is based, among other things, on the research of Cook et al. The position is thus:

the percentage of endorsements among papers expressing a position on AGW marginally increased over time. Our analysis indicates that the number of papers rejecting the consensus on AGW is a vanishingly small proportion of the published research.”
However, as usual it is different. How did Cook et al proceed? They read the summary of 11,944 climate publications (or had them read) and filled in a matrix based on that. Below the matrix you can read:
32.6% support AGW, 66.7% of the summaries show no position on AGW and 0.3% reject AGW. How does one arrive at that 97% consensus? That is the consequence of what Cook et al subsequently do with this result. They set aside the largest part (66.7%) of the results ('no position' and 'uncertain') and look at the percentage of the remaining categories that “endorsed the consensus position that humans are causing global warming”: 97.1%. So that is the source of the well-known statement “97% of scientists….” etcetera.

The next step is: if we look at the percentages of the summaries that have been examined, 32.6% support the AGW hypothesis.

Finally: It is a fact that CO2 influences the temperature on earth. It is therefore not surprising that only a very small percentage of the publications and of the respondents reject AGW. The crucial question, however, is TO what extent (anthropogenic) CO2 affects temperature. The fact that only 0.5% of the publications make an explicit statement about this speaks volumes: people don't know (yet). That great uncertainty in climatology did not stop the IPCC from stating in the Summary (https://translate.google.com/website?sl=auto&tl=en&u=https://www.ipcc.ch/pdf/assessment-report/ar5/wg1/WGIAR5_SPM_brochure_en.pdf) of the latest report:
It is extremely likely that human influence has been the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century.
If the AR5 report of the IPCC were included in the study by Cook et al, that position would fall in category 1, the 0.5% of the publications that explicitly support AGW ( explicit endorsement with quantification ). The cause can be traced back to the unilateral politicization of the IPCC, as witnessed by the mandate when it was founded. The NOS follows this position uncritically. See here: there are 75 out of 77 calling themselves climate scientists who consider human influence significant and so there is 97% consensus; this, however, on the approximately 3,000 respondents, because then it will be 2.4%. The conclusion is therefore:
It seems that the debate on the authenticity of global warming and the role played by human activity is largely nonexistent among those who understand the nuances and scientific basis of long-term climate processes. The challenge, rather, appears to be how to effectively communicate this fact to policy makers and to a public that continues to mistakenly perceive debate among scientists . source. I don't think anyone with a brain who studies enough of these would come away with doubts about the strong possibility that this is what we should be concerned about.
Not global warming (I think that debate is just a big, deliberate distraction), or even global cooling, though the latter is going to be a problem too, but in comparison to what the Magnetic Pole Reversal causes, even a mini Ice Age is not such a big deal.

Last month, climate engineering researcher Dane Wigington predicted “40 million in West would be without water in 2023.” (https://usawatchdog.com/radical-drought-caused-by-military-weather-weapons-dane-wigington/) Looks like the U.S. government is just as worried as Wigington about the extreme drought conditions. The Bureau of Reclamation just announced a first-ever forced water cut plan (https://www.edf.org/media/bureau-reclamation-confirms-deeper-colorado-river-shortages-2023-and-no-deal-yet-among-0) as the Colorado River dwindles to a trickle in Western America. Wigington contends the severe drought in the West and around the world is not a natural event but caused by man-made weather modification called geoengineering. Wigington explains, “What do we see around the globe? It’s not just Europe and not just the Western U.S., but South America also. We are seeing radical protracted drought that is crushing crops everywhere while Las Vegas is being deluged in an engineered scenario. This is all technology. They control the spigot, period. We have said this at GeoEngineeringWatch.org for a decade and a half. Everything is manifesting itself. What are we seeing? While Vegas is being flooded, we are seeing in the bread basket in the Midwest and California 110 degree temperatures, single digit humidity in some places, and crops are virtually imploding here.”

Who is responsible for the biggest drought in the last 1,200 years? Wigington says documents show it is the U.S. military. Wigington says, “Zbigniew Brzezinski, former National Security Advisor to Presidents Johnson and Carter, stated on the record that climate modification operations were the exceptional covert weapon of the U.S. military to make countries and their populations more compliant. Climate modification is the Crown Jewel weapon of the Military Industrial Complex. It’s not just for foreign adversaries, but for their own populations. They can bring them to their knees without them ever knowing they are under assault. Think how absurd this is when we have climate modification operations cutting off precipitation to tens of millions in the U.S., and nobody seems to have a clue. Nobody is willing to acknowledge this elephant in the sky.”

The military is also using forest fires as a weapon. Wigington says, “We have found a document that is titled ‘Forest Fires as a Military Weapon.’ (https://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/documents/GeoengineeringWatch%20-%20Vietnam%20War%20Forest%20Fire%20As%20A%20Military%20Weapon.pdf) (Wigington also has produced a video with the same title. What is most damning about this document is it specifically cites not only many locations in the U.S., including Mount Shasta where I live, it also cites the ‘prime burn windows’ for other U.S. allies that are on fire now such as Portugal, Spain and Greece. How much more damning can a document be? This is business as usual for the U.S. military. Think about the insanity of this. You incinerate forests as a military weapon and inflict damage on your own citizens.”

Wigington says there is a short window to fully wake people up to stop geoengineering, but the most important group is the U.S. military. Wigington says, “Our military personnel are unknowingly participating in this . . . . They are being told they are doing something for the greater good. It’s something that is saving the planet when it is, in fact, killing the planet.”

Wigington talks about all the contaminated rain water, nuclear war, nano lipid particles, aluminum in your body and how much time we have left before the entire ecosystem implodes because of man-made weather modification called geoengineering.

Spain: Law allows Geoengineering "Experiments"

Over 50 countries are currently carrying out "activities to artificially change the weather", explained the Spanish weather agency AEMET and speaks of "chemical contrails" or "chemtrails".

Chemtrails are considered to be one of the most reviled conspiratorial theories of recent decades. Anyone who addresses this topic is immediately pushed into the corner of the really insane conspiracy theorists (https://monitoring.bbc.co.uk/product/c201hmp9).

But the World Economic Forum has already admitted (https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/world-economic-forum-proposes-space-bubbles-to-block-suns-rays-in-fight-against-global-warming/) that techniques like “spraying aerosols into the upper atmosphere” were part of a science called geoengineering and touted as a “large-scale solution to climate change”.

Why is the CIA interested in climate change experiments?

Alan Robock (http://people.envsci.rutgers.edu/robock/) has sounded the alarm over CIA funding of a National Academy of Sciences report on different approaches to combating climate change, and the fact that the CIA has not yet explained (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsrEk1oZ-54) its keen interest in an engineered “nuclear winter (https://www.rt.com/russia/561071-iaea-inspection-zaporozhye-plant/)“.

Lawyer Aitor Guisasola meanwhile highlighted the legal situation on the subject of “artificial weather manipulation” in Spain. The climate in Spain can be influenced by geoengineering because these interventions have been regulated by law since July 27, 2001 by Royal Decree 1/2001.

In this decree, under Chapter 1, Article 3 , under the title “Modification of atmospheric conditions”, it reads: “The modification of the atmospheric conditions of the hydrological cycle may only be artificially modified by the state administration or its agents.”

Of course, this also means precipitation or the lack thereof, explained Guisasola. “The Royal Decree clearly states that they may do it. This is very clear, obvious and evident. They can do it and they do it. Because a government doesn’t make laws and then doesn’t apply them.”

Drought can be engineered

AEMET conceded that over 50 countries were currently conducting “artificial weather modification” activities. The expert committee of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is informed about their status in “regular reports”.

These modifications are aimed at increasing the amount of precipitation, the reduction of the associated damage and the size of the hail and to the dissipation of clouds. It is also claimed that dry spells are engineered only “in certain airports or important traffic routes”. These activities are based on “developing technologies” that may not yet have a “solid scientific base”, AEMET noted.

Why does geoengineering exist?

The term geoengineering is used to refer to a wide range of techniques, including more recent experiments in weaponizing the weather (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/338035316_The_Importance_of_Weather_in_Military_Applications_WeatherNow_ROI_Analysis) associated with “climate change (https://senseable.mit.edu/space-bubbles/)“. The objective is to manipulate the climate to reduce mainly two aspects: the variations in solar radiation and the increase in CO2 and thus alleviate the increase in temperature. These techniques suggest theories aimed at reducing the solar radiation that reaches the earth’s surface by increasing the reflection capacity of the surface or the atmosphere. This second group of techniques have an impact on a regional and even global scale.

Various experiments have also been carried out in cities near the poles to provide light during the winter night, using satellites that reflect sunlight on the earth’s surface using sails.

Military interest in the weather is not new: Over North Vietnam, Laos and South Vietnam, the US military had secretly seeded clouds (https://www.nytimes.com/1972/07/03/archives/rainmaking-is-used-as-weapon-by-us-cloudseeding-in-indochina-is.html) to increase and control the rainfall for military purposes.

Experiments that do not work

From the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the Federal Government of the United States, experiments and financed campaigns began at the beginning of the 1960s, as was the case of the Stormfury project, which sought to attenuate the intensity of hurricanes. This project, despite criticism from countries like Cuba, was maintained for two more decades, until it was recognized that it did not influence the behavior of hurricanes. It was likely used as a cover for a military interest in a Cuban adversary.

In addition to protection against frost, traditionally through the use of fans or irrigation of crops, the most important project in Spain has been the one carried out in the Duero basin between 1979 and 1981, proposed and carried out by the WMO, with the name of “Project of Intensification of Precipitation” (PIP).

In this trial only the first phase was completed, the results were disappointing and impractical. The main conclusion was that it was necessary to deepen the knowledge of cloud physics and the structure of cloud systems before undertaking new research or operational projects.

The Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment in its latest report alluded to food security and curiously stated: “It should be kept in mind that the energy associated with weather systems is of such a magnitude that it is impossible to create cloud systems that drop precipitation, modify wind patterns to bring water vapor to a region, or completely eliminate extreme weather events. Artificial weather modification technologies that claim to achieve such large-scale or extraordinary effects lack a solid scientific basis (for example hail guns or ionization methods) and are not scientifically credible.”

Harmful substances

Some of the substances used, for example silver iodide, are certainly toxic and harmful to the environment, although the amounts used in artificial rainfall intensification programs are allegedly small, according to WMO reports.

In the absence of other nuclei, one gram of silver iodide supposedly widely distributed in the cloud could lead to a precipitation of 1 l/m2 in an area of 1000 km2. If no other fact about climate change remains in your memory, let that be the one.
This fact suggests that the warming we are experiencing now is that final spike of warming that occurs right before Ice Ages suddenly set in. Climate change is real, its not caused by humans, and we are headed into a regularly scheduled Ice Age according to every indicator, not a waterball Earth condition where the remaining icecaps in the already warm period were in fully melt away. Sea level rise cannot occur with slow melting because of isostatic rebound. Rapid melting is required to cause the floods and sea level rises that climate extremists harp on about.
Rapid melting is caused by a sudden addition of lots of heat to the atmosphere. This is how the Ice Ages end. The most popular theories on how Ice Ages end are supervolcanoes, comet impacts or massive solar flares. However, comet impacts best solve the issue of regularity, as the Ice Ages seem to last a similar amount of time, every time.
If we were to somehow try and affect these Milankovitch cycles, such as slowing down the rate of precession, it would spell real cataclysmic changes to Earth's surface, the likes of which climate extremists only dream of to justify the implementation of their carbon tax scheme".

The media clip now circulating on social media showed Gates, who was speaking to an audience of his inner circle in 2018, saying that wind, solar, battery technology and other renewable energy sources might be fashionable, but they are not capable of solving man-made global warming.

“That doesn’t solve the reliability problem,” Gates said in the video referring to the renewable energy they were discussing. “Whatever came up with this term ‘clean energy,’ I think it screwed up people’s minds because they don’t understand.”

Gates even blamed the cows for producing methane in the animal’s digestive system. "Under the guise of "controlling traffic," officials are attempting to control the lives of the people in Oxford, England. This is a "test case" that must NOT be allowed to set a precedent.Oxfordshire County Council, which is run by Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party, wants to divide the city of Oxford into six ‘15 minute’ districts. In these districts, it is said, most household essentials will be accessible by a quarter-of-an-hour walk or bike ride, and so residents will have no need for a car.

On the surface, these 15-minute neigbourhoods might sound pleasant and convenient. But there is a coercive edge. The council plans to cut car use and traffic congestion by placing strict rules on car journeys.

Residents will have to register their cars with the council and they will be tracked to count their journeys through the key gateways. It’s the social credit scheme that starts with your car and works like anti-frequent-flyer points.

Under the new proposals, if any of Oxford’s 150,000 residents drives outside of their designated district more than 100 days a year, he or she could be fined £70.

Even if it was a traffic problem, there is a free market solution where they make alternatives better, instead they’ve picked the totalitarian path which involves tracking people and fining them, and dole out permits to “selected” friends.

Reading more of the local news, there have been many protests, and at least 6,000 people opposed. The desire for the traffic measures doesn’t seem to be coming from the people who live and work there.

I lived in Oxford for 17 years (1992-2009) and there was a traffic redirection scheme implemented circa 1999 to reduce the amount of cars entering the city centre. Was absolute chaos for months because not only was there redirection but the lights were set to cause major delays. During the initial implementation it took me 1hr and 40 minutes to get from Christ Church to Botley Road – about 1km – in the early afternoon. The traffic lights were backed off, but the road closures remained and it did reduce traffic…for a while, then some streets turned into a torrent of half empty buses. My impression was that it became more dangerous to cross the High Street after the calming measures than before.

The town is already quite radial with poor parking and most people already walk/bike to shops within their arm of the city when they can or head out to the major supermarkets on the ring road; you don’t drive through Oxford unless you can’t help it, and there are already four major park and ride car parks on the ring road from which people bus into the centre. Looking at the roads they are blocking, this appears to me to be a first step in completely isolating the various parts of Oxford from each other for little real purpose (other than causing a few people major inconvenience) rather than anything to do with redirecting cars from the city centre – the latter was done two decades ago. I suspect Oxford has been chosen because it already works like a 15 minute city and will be held up to the world as a successful implementation of this great idea. (It will also cause chaos on the ring road from what I can see which will have the added “benefit” of isolating Oxford from the rest of the county.)

Have you been to Oxford recently? Have you seen the Extinction Rebellion posters all over the place? Perhaps take a walk down the urban-utopia dump of the Cowley road (home to Oxford’s Wokerati) to get a sense of the degree to which the city has drunk the climate kool-aid.

The congestion problem in Oxford was bad, but not much worse than most other UK cities, usually exacerbated by old, narrow bridges acting as choke points on arterial routes out of the city centre (Botley and Abingdon Roads in particular). Decent infrastructure projects could have partially addressed these problems, and the ‘Zero Emissions Zone’ in the centre, was necessary to pedestrianize what was a crowded part of the city.

The council’s ‘solution’ however has been to deliberately exacerbate the congestion problems through the introduction of ‘Low Traffic Neighbourhoods’, making certain routes impassable, doctoring traffic light timing, introducing 20mph limits on main arterial roads and turning sections into road-wide cycle lanes. This has, within weeks, pretty much doubled congestion in the city. The idea is clearly to make life as hellish as possible for drivers in order to create justification for their idiotic, authoritarian plan – itself a sign of the level of dishonesty the green blob is prepared to stoop to.

Short of banning cars altogether – which would be economic death for the city – the ‘traffic filters’ will just create more congestion and misery for residents and workers (and ironically danger for pedestrians and cyclists), as traffic is forced out onto what is misleadingly called a ‘ring road’, on a 15 mile journey to another entry points which will serve as traffic bottlenecks, and need to be used to access the city’s park-and-rides. This ring road is actually a major route from the North to the South of the UK, and already dangerous and inadequate for its purpose.

Oxford council would realise within five minutes of analysing their plans that they are utterly idiotic and self-defeating. The fact they seem unprepared to do this at any cost suggests to me they are acting on instructions from higher up.

The American standard of living is one of the highest, far more than double of the Soviets while having added a services economy that will be gone along with the financial system. When pensioners see their retirement disappear in front of their eyes and there are no servicing jobs you can imagine what is going to happen next. At least younger people can migrate. Never in human history were so many elders among the population. In past centuries people were lucky to get to their 30s or 40s. The American downfall is set to be far worse than the Soviet Union's one. A confluence of crisis with a devastating result.

Some heartening news; the mayor of London Sadiq Khan is trying to expand ULEZ (ultra-low emission zone) from the current area of central London to the whole of Greater London. The population of Greater London by 2018 stats was 8.9 million. Four councils have said that they will not sign the agreement for the expansion, the councils are Bromley, Hillingdon, Harrow and Bexley.

Central London is mostly shops, businesses and very expensive housing that only the rich can afford but Greater London includes the housing of the not so rich, many of whom commute into the capital. I guess that they will not welcome the curtailing of their daily travelling routine and the extra costs that ULEZ will bring to already stretched household budgets.

A recent article published by The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (PBS) claims that,
"floods and droughts are worsened by climate change."

Various lines of evidence and hard data falsify this claim.

The article, originally by Isabella O'Malley (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/author/isabella-omalley-associated-press), of the Associated Press (AP) was carried on the PBS Newshour website with the title "Scientists confirm global floods and droughts worsened by climate change (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/scientists-confirm-global-floods-and-droughts-worsened-by-climate-change)".

The article leads with this alarming claim:

The intensity of extreme drought and rainfall has "sharply" increased over the past 20 years, according to a study published Monday in the journal Nature Water.

These aren't merely tough weather events, they are leading to extremes such as crop failure, infrastructure damage and even humanitarian crises.

The big picture on water comes from data from a pair of satellites known as GRACE, or Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment, that were used to measure changes in Earth's water storage - the sum of all the water on and in the land, including groundwater, surface water, ice, and snow.

For good measure, O'Malley adds this unsupportable claim:

The researchers say the data confirms that both the frequency and intensity of rainfall and droughts are increasing due to burning fossil fuels (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/call-for-treaty-against-fossil-fuels-discussed-at-un-climate-summit) and other human activity that releases greenhouse gases.

"I was surprised to see how well correlated the global intensity was with global mean temperatures," said Matthew Rodell, study author and deputy director of Earth sciences for hydrosphere, biosphere, and geophysics at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

As any professional scientist will tell you, correlation is not causation.

Wikipedia says (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Correlation_does_not_imply_causation),

"The phrase 'correlation does not imply causation' refers to the inability to legitimately deduce a cause-and-effect relationship between two events or variables solely on the basis of an observed association or correlation between them."

For example, data in this graph in Figure 1 below correlates nearly perfectly, but anyone can tell you that the two data items plotted, Ice Cream Sales and Shark Attacks, have no cause-and-effect relationship.

There are other problems with the article, most notably the time period of data involved - 20 years - which by definition does not meet the 30-year period required to determine a climate trend (https://public.wmo.int/en/media/news/updated-30-year-reference-period-reflects-changing-climate).

Worse than that, the article reports,

"Researchers looked at 1,056 events from 2002-2021 using a novel algorithm that identifies where the land is much wetter or drier than normal."

In other words, in addition to the lack of 30-years of data, this study used a "novel algorithm" that has not been applied to other areas or the same areas in the past for a proper comparison of past and present climate trends and any changes over time.

Also, this data is from a satellite designed to measure variations in Earth's gravity, not climate change...

Therefore, the data produced isn't a direct measurement, but a proxy for what has happened with droughts and floods assumptions about how gravity changes.

These three glaring inconsistencies with regular climate science procedures fail to instill trust in the methods used in, or the conclusions come to, in this particular study.

Real-world data, actually measured on Earth over multiple decades, contradicts the claims made in the study and the AP/PBS story reporting on it.

For example, data on drought in the United States, presented in Climate at a Glance - Drought (https://climateataglance.com/climate-at-a-glance-drought/), show no increasing drought trend whatsoever since January 1895.

The U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports (https://www.ipcc.ch/site/assets/uploads/sites/2/2019/06/SR15_Chapter3_Low_Res.pdf),

with "high confidence" that precipitation has increased over mid-latitude land areas of the Northern Hemisphere (including the United States) during the past 70 years, while IPCC has "low confidence" about any negative trends globally.

Likewise, when it comes to flooding, The IPCC reports it has,

"low confidence" climate change is impacting flooding...

The U.N. IPCC admits (https://www.ipcc.ch/site/assets/uploads/2018/03/SREX-Chap3_FINAL-1.pdf) having "low confidence" in even the "sign" of any changes, in other words,

it is just as likely that climate change is making floods less frequent and less severe...

The latter point highlights another grievous error made in the study hyped by PBS - the researchers involved conflated precipitation and flooding.

The IPCC report indicates climate change is not a factor in flooding.

As Roger Pielke, Jr., said in his summary and analysis (https://rogerpielkejr.substack.com/p/how-to-understand-the-new-ipcc-report-1e3?s=r) of the report,

Heavy precipitation:
"the frequency and intensity of heavy precipitation have likely increased at the global scale over a majority of land regions with good observational coverage" … [yet] "heavier rainfall does not always lead to greater flooding."
To make claims about trends in flooding, one should look at trends in flooding and not precipitation.

The conflation of the two is a common error.

Also of note, what flooding has occurred, has been impact-minimized as costs of flooding have decreased over the last century, as seen in Figure 2.

While the rest of the world may not have effective mitigation measures for flooding due to lack of resources, the bottom line is that,

the IPCC has found no global climate induced trends in either droughts or flooding...

Unfortunately, the AP writer O'Malley completely ignores this in favor of the findings of a single study that contains, at a minimum, three major flaws in the way it gathered, analyzed, and reported its results.

This flawed reporting seems to be a sad trend. Just last year, an AP article linked climate change to severe flooding in South Africa.

The widely carried AP story, "Climate change a major factor in fatal South Africa floods (https://apnews.com/article/floods-climate-science-south-africa-fcc794102f62d4c15caeefd4749e7b25)," was typical of the media's coverage of flawed and unverified research.

Just as with the recent PBS story, a modicum of basic research proved the earlier claims false.

In, Wrong, CNN, AP, NYT, etc., Climate Change Did Not Cause South Africa's Tragic Floods (https://climaterealism.com/2022/05/wrong-cnn-ap-nyt-etc-climate-change-did-not-cause-south-africas-tragic-floods/), my colleague Sterling Burnett showed there was no evidence linking South African flooding to climate change.

Why do mainstream media (https://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/esp_sociopol_mediacontrol.htm) outlets promote alarming, novel results from unverified studies, while ignoring contrary existing evidence?

It could be simple incompetence, or possibly because disasters and crises sell better than "all is well."

It could also be because they are being directly paid to write articles hawking the narrative that humans are causing a climate crisis...

The AP, received a grant of $8 million over three years (https://www.ap.org/ap-in-the-news/2022/climate-grant-illustrates-growth-in-philanthropy-funded-news), to hire twenty new "climate journalists," who, like O'Malley, seemingly ignore the truth when telling the truth fails to further their funded mission.

Every Earth Day, the media run annoying stories about how the young people of the world need to get the grown-ups in their lives educated about the climate and the need to take action. The world's youth have been brainwashed into believing that human activity is leading to a climate catastrophe, and we have to radically change our ways if we're going to save the planet.

I wonder if anyone else's' ears have been gently pricking up to El Nino lately? I see a lot of articles from MSM about the coming catastrophe concerning El nino which will cause some crazy drought for two years the likes of which the world has never seen, etc, etc.

of course when you look into it, it's all "experts say", and "scientists warn" with the usual poorly thought out plot graph in the article. Interestingly, I hear of it more and more through those around me. It's a shame because it will be the next artificial cause of panic, even though it has very conveniently came about not just after covid, but also when the threat of nuclear war with Russia has ran out of steam.

Scientists have determined there is no measured data to "indicate thicker than present ice after 4ka" at a West Antarctic study site near the Thwaites "Doomsday" Glacier. Any ice melt observed today is thus "reversible"... and natural.

The Thwaites, Pine Island, and Pope Glaciers in the Amundsen Sea region of West Antarctica are all situated on a hotbed of active geothermal heat flux, which has led to anomalously high regional melt rates. Indeed, "there is a conspicuously large amount of heat from Earth's interior beneath the ice" in the very locations where the ice melt is most pronounced.

While the Earth's crust has an average thickness of about 40 km, in the Thwaites-Pine Island-Pope Glacier region the anomalously thinner crust (10 to 18 km) more readily exposes the base of the ice to 580°C tectonic trenches. The "elevated geothermal heat flow band is interpreted as caused by an anomalously thin crust underlain by a hot mantle," which is exerting a "profound influence on the flow dynamics of the Western Antarctic Ice Sheet" (Dziadek et al., 2021).

Despite the established natural causes of ice melt this region (see also Schroeder et al., 2014, Loose et al., 2018), it has nonetheless become commonplace for those who believe human behaviors are the climate's "control knob" to claim the melting of the Thwaites Glacier - dubbed the "Doomsday Glacier" by alarmists - is caused by humans driving gasoline-powered trucks or using natural gas for energy.

But a new study categorically undermines claims that the ice melt occurring in the Thwaites-Pine Island-Pope Glacier region is unusual, unprecedented, or unnatural.

The thickness of the ice sheet at this Amundsen Sea region site averages about 40 m today.

Scientists (Balco et al., 2023) have used cosmogenic-nuclide concentrations and bedrock cores to determine the ice sheet is presently around 8 times thicker than it was for most of the last 8,000 years of the Holocene, when the ice thickness ranged between 2 m and 7 m.

Even more interesting, the scientists found there are "no exposure-age data in the Amundsen Sea region indicating thicker than present ice after 4 ka," suggesting that the present thickness is close to the most pronounced it has been over the last 4,000 years.

Any ice melt from this region, then, is not only natural, but the opposite of "unprecedented." The scientists thus characterize modern changes to the West Antarctic ice sheet as "reversible" instead.

Not control burns, not natural (from lightning), and not from "climate change".

This looks like an attack of some kind at this point, but I can't rule out the plate shifting / heat releases along the craton edge yet.

If an attack, it could be 1 of 2 ways... either a huge group of people doing it coordinated, or a DEW from above (space or air based directed energy weapon).

Those are the options. Natural plate shifting releasing heat, coordinated attack orchestrated by hundreds of people working in unison somehow secretly, or a DEW from above.

This is getting insane, but there it is.

If we all learn to hold our breath for a few seconds longer in between each breath, then collectively we can lower the methane levels together, as the loving woke working together benevolent species we are and at least buy ourselves another half a day of life ,somewhere around the year 3824.
On that year, we will at least be able to live out the morning, depending on your time zone of course, so bring a cartigan and plan accordingly. Be safe...

50 Years of Failed Doomsday, Eco-pocalyptic Predictions; the So-called ‘Experts’ Are 0-50

Milloy (https://cei.org/other/steven-j-milloy) published a post on the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) blog titled “Wrong Again: 50 Years of Failed Eco-pocalyptic Predictions (https://cei.org/blog/wrong-again-50-years-failed-eco-pocalyptic-predictions):”
Modern doomsayers have been predicting climate and environmental disaster since the 1960s. They continue to do so today. None of the apocalyptic predictions with due dates as of today have come true. What follows is a collection of notably wild predictions from notable people in government and science.
More than merely spotlighting the failed predictions, this collection shows that the makers of failed apocalyptic predictions often are individuals holding respected positions in government and science. While such predictions have been and continue to be enthusiastically reported by a media eager for sensational headlines, the failures are typically not revisited.
The first 27 failed alarmist predictions below are from the CEI post (many were previously collected and posted by Tony Heller on RealClimateScience (https://realclimatescience.com/), see Tony’s video below) and the additional 14 doomsday predictions the climate alarmists got wrong were added by John Nolte in a Breitbart post titled “Climate ‘Experts’ are 0-41 with Their Doomsday Predictions (https://www.breitbart.com/environment/2019/09/20/nolte-climate-experts-are-0-41-with-their-doomsday-predictions/)“:
For more than 50 years Climate Alarmists in the scientific community and environmental movement have not gotten even one prediction correct, but they do have a perfect record of getting 41 predictions wrong. In other words, on at least 41 occasions, these so-called experts have predicted some terrible environmental catastrophe was imminent … and it never happened. And not once — not even once! — have these alarmists had one of their predictions come true.
Think about that… the so-called experts are 0-41 with their predictions, but those of us who are skeptical of “expert” prediction number 42, the one that says that if we don’t immediately convert to socialism and allow Alexandria Ocasio-Crazy to control and organize our lives, the planet will become uninhabitable. Why would any sane person listen to someone with a 0-41 record? Why would we completely restructure our economy and sacrifice our personal freedom for “experts” who are 0-41, who have never once gotten it right? And if that’s not crazy enough, the latest ploy is to trot out a 16-year-old girl to spread prediction number 42, because it is so much more credible that way.

In a surprising turn of events on Thursday, JPMorgan Chase, the world’s largest bank, and State Street Global Advisors, an institutional investor overseeing $3.5 trillion in assets, announced their withdrawal from the Climate Action 100+ investor group. And late last year he issued subpoenas to BlackRock and State Street, compelling the production of documents related to his investigation into potential antitrust violations.

“I think we’ve done more subpoenas and more interviews and written more letters than probably most of the rest of Congress combined,” Jordan told Fox News.
“We have been pushing for stopping this kind of coordination and collusion that we think is harmful to the economy, to freedom, to investors,” the Judiciary Committee chair noted further. “So, you know, we’re just doing our job, and we’re happy to see that three huge banks — the decision they made today, and I think, as I said before, it’s a win for the country.”

Climate Action 100+ was officially launched in December 2017 at the United Nations with the aim of coordinating efforts among the world’s largest private-sector financiers to address greenhouse gas emissions. Since its inception, the initiative has expanded to encompass over 700 financial institutions, collectively managing a staggering $68 trillion in assets.

The group, managed by a nongovernmental steering committee composed of ESG activists, advocates for its members to interact with companies on “improving climate change governance,” reducing carbon emissions, and reinforcing climate-related financial disclosure policies. Its initiatives primarily target investments favoring the oil and gas sector while promoting strategies that support green energy investment.

However, in June 2023, Climate Action 100+ introduced its “phase 2” strategy, urging member investors to actively collaborate with companies to diminish their carbon footprint. The forthcoming initiative raised concerns at State Street and BlackRock.

“After careful review, State Street Global Advisors has concluded the enhanced Climate Action 100+ Phase 2 requirements for signatories will not be consistent with our independent approach to proxy voting and portfolio company engagement,” State Street Global Advisors said in a statement to Fox News. “As a result, we have decided to withdraw from Climate Action 100+.”

The outlet said BlackRock issued a similar statement.

“This new strategy will require signatories to make an overarching commitment to use client assets to pursue emissions reductions in investee companies through stewardship engagement,” the firm stated. “In our judgment, making this new commitment across our assets under management would raise legal considerations, particularly in the U.S.”

What stands out for me is the partnership of the Globalists (such as those comprising the WEF) and the Chinese Communist Party.
The current primary goal of the Globalists is depopulation by any means possible.
Once they consider that has been achieved to their satisfaction, they might actually consider focusing on cleaning up the environment.
But only so much as it would suit their own immediate needs.
The CCP's model of governance now is the Globalist model, and it's why the CCP's only possible nemesis, the US, has become their primary target.
Sources of information like the Theosophists and prophets (such as Edgar Cayce) are being ignored, as "trust the science" is being pushed by the NWO as their new motto and religion. (But only the science that they condone, of course.)

There might be people out there that that does not know what "%" means ... This "%" sign is from the French word: "percent (https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english-french/cent)" >>> "per" = "from" and "cent" = "one hundredth" and that means 1 out of 100 ... So for example, if you have 100 apples and I want 3% of that, you will give me: 3 apples :) ...
