Still, they deserve our attention and support.

If you want to contribute to the thread, it would be great if you will point out to the rest of us which segments might be of major interest and where on the video or in the article to look for it.

Most of the news sources have free segments, but also more detailed news behind a paywall.
I'm not in a position to pay for news, but if anyone who is interested can, and would like to share those articles and videos here, I think it would be a nice contribution.

"The first thing we all need to recognize is that the catastrophes are being engineered.

I’ve taught prepping and survival principles for two decades now, and I’ve been personally prepping since at least 1995. But now my urgent message for all those who wish to survive is that we need to prepare for simultaneous, engineered collapse events that are timed for maximum destruction. "On Aug. 12th, the New York Supreme Court sided with Project Veritas,again. The undercover journalism organization will be allowed to depose The New York Times. When Project Veritas first filed the defamation lawsuit last fall, the Times probably didn’t realize it had gotten into some real trouble. The lawsuit challenged the paper for claiming Veritas’s Minnesota ballot harvesting video “deceptive” and “disinformation.”

On June 1st, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas officially ended the “remain in Mexico” policy, though in practice, it was stopped when Biden entered office on Jan. 20th. The Trump-era policy imposed in 2019 requires asylum-seekers to wait in Mexico until their claims are heard. But the Biden administration’s decision has now been overturned by a federal judge.

Incoming New York governor, Kathy Hochul on Sunday vowed to “fully cooperate” with requests for data regarding Andrew Cuomo’s nursing home scandal. The allegations against Cuomo on the scandal are not limited to his disastrous order and concealing death data. The governor has also faced scrutiny for granting legal immunity from lawsuits to nursing home executives over coronavirus-related claims."

Judicial Watch Sues DOJ for Answers About its Challenge to Georgia’s Voter Integrity Bill

For years we have reported on Democrats blocking efforts to make elections honest. Not surprisingly, the problem continues under Joe Biden.

The latest battlefield is Georgia. We filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for records of communications between the DOJ and various left-wing groups and individuals concerning the DOJ’s decision to challenge Georgia’s election integrity law (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:21-cv-02427)).

We filed the lawsuit on September 15, 2021, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, after the DOJ failed to respond to a July 26, 2021, FOIA request to the Justice Department’s Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division for the following records:

All documents and communications between (1) the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, or any of their officers, employees, members, agents, or affiliates, and (2) any of the following people and organizations, including any of their officers, members, agents, parent organizations, affiliated entities, branches, subordinate organizations, or chapters, concerning the U.S. Department of Justice’s Voting Rights Act Section 2 lawsuit against the State of Georgia, et al., in the Northern District of Georgia, Civ. No. 21-2575:
ACLU Foundation of Georgia, American Civil Liberties Union, League of Women Voters, Brennan Center for Justice, Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Common Cause, NAACP, Georgia State Conference of the NAACP, Campaign Legal Center, Fair Fight, Fair Fight Action, Stacy Abrams, Perkins Coie LLP, Marc Elias.

The Justice Department’s lawsuit challenging Georgia’s election law asks the court to strike down major parts of the act, including strengthened voter ID requirements for voting by mail.

The leftists who control the Justice Department have a long record of working hand in glove with extremist and partisan interest groups who oppose any efforts to make it harder to steal votes and elections.

A week after the DOJ filed its lawsuit against Georgia, on July 1 of this year, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld two Arizona voting provisions that Democrats and civil rights groups had challenged as disproportionately burdening minority voters. We and the Allied Educational Foundation filed amici curiae (friends of the court) briefs in support of Arizona’s law. The court’s decision is what I called a knockout blow to the Left’s tsunami of harassing lawsuits challenging virtually any effort by any state to modestly increase the security of elections and minimize the impact of voter fraud.

In response to the Supreme Court ruling, the Left appears to have become desperate to short circuit the efforts of states to implement security measures such as voter ID.

We remain front and center in the fight for clean elections, from our historic election integrity victory in L.A. County, to the current election-related lawsuits in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Colorado. Attorney Robert Popper is the director of our clean elections initiative.

In 2018, the Supreme Court upheld a voter-roll cleanup program that resulted from our settlement of a federal lawsuit with Ohio. Kentucky began cleaning up hundreds of thousands of old registrations in 2019 after it too entered a consent decree in 2018 to end another of our lawsuits.

Based on this research, in 2020, a federal court ordered the State of Maryland to produce complete voter registration records for Montgomery County that include the registered voters’ dates of birth.

In September 2020, we filed a lawsuit on behalf of the Illinois Conservative Union (ICU) and three of its officers, after Illinois state officials refused to allow them to obtain a copy of the state’s voter registration database. In June 2021, a federal court ruled the lawsuit could proceed.

After years of litigation, it is hard not to conclude that the Democrats can’t win the game and so must change the rules.

No details were provided as to who the alleged attackers or victims were other than that they were UACs. Additionally, no incident reports were provided by HHS.

On February 22, 2021, at the BCFS (Baptist Children and Family Services) shelter in Baytown, Texas, a UAC reported that another UAC, a 17-year-old boy from Guatemala, had been punched with a closed fist in his ribcage by his roommate while the victim was lying down. The victim of the alleged attack did not want to discuss it with shelter officials. The report notes “Minor was moved to another room to ensure other minor’s safety.” The follow up questions in the report: “Was the incident investigated?”; was it “Reported to CPS?”; and was it “Reported to Local Law Enforcement?” were all answered “No.”

On April 7, 2021, Fox News reported: “Gov. Greg Abbott demanded that the White House close a San Antonio facility housing migrant children Wednesday following allegations that children there were being sexually assaulted.” Additionally, “The governor said that separate complaints were sent to the Department of Health and Human Services and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Wednesday, alleging four different kinds of child abuse.”

And it was recently confirmed that the Biden administration just this year alone “lost contact with thousands” of unaccompanied illegal immigrant children who had been released from federal custody.

We forced the release of the documents through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against Health and Human Services for:

All summaries from individual case files of reports of physical and/or sexual abuse or assault of Unaccompanied Alien Children under the care of HHS, its sub-agencies, and or VOLAGs [voluntary agency], contractors, grantees, and sub-grantees, to include all segregable, non-exempt information.

Records reflecting aggregated data of physical and/or sexual abuse and assault of UACs under the care of HHS, its sub-agencies, and or VOLAGs, contractors, grantees, and sub-grantees.

These documents show that not only are there shocking reports of sexual abuse occurring in shelters for unaccompanied children, but that there is violence amongst the UACs themselves. It is no surprise that the Biden administration’s enabling of human trafficking has resulted in violence and the abuse of children.

Judicial Watch Sues HHS for Details of Biden’s COVID-19 Community Corps

This spring, the Biden Administration announced that HHS was going to launch “a nationwide, grassroots network of local voices and trusted community leaders to encourage vaccinations, with more than 275 founding member organizations that have the ability to reach millions of Americans.” We want to know the details.

We filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Health and Human Services seeking all records related to the so-called COVID-19 Community Corps (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (No. 1:21-cv-02315)).

We sued in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia after HHS failed to reply to an April 19, 2021, FOIA request for:

All records regarding the Department of Health and Human Services’ “COVID-19 Community Corps” program, which was announced by the department on April 1, 2021. This request includes the following:
All records depicting the application process and selection criteria for organizations participating in the program.
All records related to the consideration of any organization considered for participation in the program that were not selected.
All records concerning any awarded or proposed related grants or contracts with any organization participating in the program.
All related records of communication between any representative of the Department of Health and Human Services and any representative of any organization participating in the program.
The HHS website describes the COVID-19 Community Corps as “an initiative to increase confidence in COVID-19 vaccines and reinforce basic prevention measures.” The government program also seeks to enlist minors (16 and older). The site reports “over 4,000 organizations and almost 10,000 individuals across the United States have joined the COVID-19 Community Corps. They’ve committed to take action to encourage their families, friends, and members of their communities to get vaccinated for COVID-19.”

The federal government organizing a ‘corps’ of private individuals, minors, corporations, and unions to push controversial COVID policies is concerning. Also concerning is the Biden administration’s unlawful refusal to turn over records about this program to the American people.


Judicial Watch Sues HHS for Biodistribution Studies of the COVID Vaccines

The Biden Administration isn’t eager to reveal some of the details of how the vaccines were tested before they were distributed. One type of testing, biodistribution, studies how a vaccine moves through the body.

We filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for biodistribution studies and related data for the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (No. 1:21-cv-02418)).

We sued after the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease failed to respond to a June 8, 2021, FOIA request for:

[A]ccess to biodistribution studies and related data for the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines used to treat and/or prevent SARS-CoV-2 and/or COVID-19.

Similarly, HHS’s Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) failed to respond to the same request sent on July 15, 2021, after the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease advised us that BARDA “would be the appropriate federal agency to submit a request,” to obtain the records if they existed. 

The Biden administration should follow the law and release any biodistribution studies concerning the vaccines. Americans have a right to know as much as possible about the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines.




California Judge Heard Arguments on Gender Quotas for Corporate Boards

We filed suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court on August 6, 2019, on behalf of three California taxpayers, Robin Crest, Earl De Vries and Judy De Vries. The 2018 law, known as Senate Bill 826 (SB 826), requires every publicly held corporation headquartered in California to have at least one director “who self-identifies her gender as a woman” on its board of directors by December 31, 2019. The law also requires corporations to have up to three such persons on their boards by December 31, 2021, depending on the size of the board (Robin Crest et al. v. Alex Padilla (No.19STCV27561)).

The lawsuit alleges that the quota violates the Equal Protection Clause of the California Constitution, among other provisions, and asks the court to order that no taxpayer funds be spent on the illegal provision.  Both sides have asked the court to enter judgment in their favor. The hearing was to address those requests.

In July 2020, the court cleared the way for the lawsuit to proceed, holding that our clients had standing under state law to sue.

SB 826 requires that subject corporations set aside a certain number of board seats for women or create new seats for which only women may apply…. SB 826 imposes the additional requirement that one or more seats be set aside or created for women. The only criterion for occupying these seats is being female. Men are excluded from the seats no matter how well-qualified they might be …

We included expert analysis from Jonathan Klick, Ph.D., J.D., an expert in econometrics, statistics, and corporate law, who concludes:

In my opinion, the evidence offered in [the] declarations supporting Secretary Padilla’s motion for each of these points (underrepresentation of women on boards, discrimination as the cause of this underrepresentation, and that research shows a differential benefit of appointing women, as opposed to men, in terms of firm performance is deficient and unreliable.

California politicians want to use SB826 to upend decades of settled constitutional law that prohibits discrimination based on sex. We hope this lawsuit vindicates the rule of law and the commonsense principle that the way to end any discrimination based on sex is to stop discriminating on the basis of the sex.

"Rhode Island School District Is Training Teachers in Critical Race Theory

As the Justice Department and FBI targets innocent parents concerned about critical race theory, Judicial Watch just received a 53-page training document from a whistleblower which details how public schools are using teachers to push critical race theory in classrooms.

The training course for the Westerly School District in Rhode Island was assembled by the left-leaning Highlander Institute and cites quotes from Bettina Love, from whom the Biden administration distanced itself publicly after her statements equating “whiteness” to oppression.

The document reveals the following:
The training course for teachers, entitled “Culturally Responsive & Sustaining Pedagogy” is taught by Vera De Jesus and Michaela Comella, partners at the Highlander Institute, which has an about section on their website that describes itself as:
Highlander Institute partners with communities to imagine and create more equitable, relevant, and effective schools.

Highlander Institute is named after the Highlander Folk School, a social justice leadership training school and cultural center located in New Market, Tennessee known for its role during the Civil Rights Movement.
The training course claims that there are “unfortunate truths” about the history of Rhode Island and the United States.
The training course notes that there is “systemic inequity” that must be overcome in the school system.
The training course asks teachers “How does systemic racism manifest itself in the education experience for students?”
The training course links to a video called “Systemic Racism Explained” from Act.TV, a far-left YouTube channel.
The course instructs teachers to ask themselves, “How do I challenge systemic inequity as an educator?”
The course goals are to “foster and sustain cultural pluralism, ultimately for the purpose of social transformation.” Further, its stated goal is to, “disrupt the impact of educational inequity and empower students to transform their own lives, their communities, and society.”
The course highlights “A Framework for Culturally Responsive & Sustaining Pegagogy” which includes:
“Awareness” that “we all operate within an inequitable system
“Cognitive Development” where teachers “leverage students’ identities and interests …” and “scaffold and develop students’ thinking skills”
“Critical Consciousness” where the goal is that students are motivated to “critical action so they can transform their lives, communities, and society.”
The course teaches that teachers should focus on collectivism over individualism.
In order to promote collectivism, it states that teachers may have to “gather information about students’ identities …” in order to have them reflect. These activities link to a journaling activity where students are prompted to write about the demographics of their neighborhood.
What this document shows is that yet another school district, under the rubric of critical race theory, wants to use teachers to abuse their positions to turn children into Marxist agitators. Rather than threatening parents, the Justice Department should be investigating this rampant racism being pushed by lefitst extremists in schools across America.


Judicial Watch Sues for Details on Biden Administration Shut Down of China-COVID Investigation

The Biden State Department shut down a national security investigation into China’s role in the COVID pandemic, and the American people deserve to know why.

So we filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of State for records related to an investigation into the origins of COVID by the Bureau of Arms Control and Verification (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:21-cv-02147)).

We sued after the State Department failed to respond to a simple May 28, 2021, FOIA request for:
All records regarding the investigation into the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and/or COVID-19 by the Bureau of Arms Control and Verification. This request includes, but is not limited to, the following:
All reports created pursuant to the investigation.
All related to the actual or proposed termination of the investigation.
All related records of communication between any official, employee, or representative of the Department of State. This includes communications with any official, employee, or representative of the World Health Organization, the government of China, and any branch, agency, department, or office of the Federal government.
We took action after reports surfaced that the Biden administration shut down an investigation by the State Department’s Bureau of Arms Control and Verification ordered by the Trump administration in Fall 2020 to “investigate the origins of COVID-19 and whether the virus stemmed from a leak out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.” On January 15, then-Secretary of State Michael Pompeo issued a statement saying:

The COVID-19 pandemic was avoidable. Any responsible country would have invited world health investigators to Wuhan within days of an outbreak. China instead refused offers of help – including from the United States – and punished brave Chinese doctors, scientists, and journalists who tried to alert the world to the dangers of the virus. Beijing continues today to withhold vital information that scientists need to protect the world from this deadly virus, and the next one.

We’ve been very busy investigating burgeoning cover-up by Fauci and his allies:

In July 2021, we uncovered emails and other records from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) officials in connection with the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Wuhan, China, revealing significant collaborations and funding that began in 2014. The records reveal that NIAID gave nine China-related grants to EcoHealth Alliance to research coronavirus emergence in bats and was the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) top issuer of grants to the Wuhan lab itself. The records also include an email from the Vice Director of the Wuhan Lab asking an NIH official for help finding disinfectants for decontamination of airtight suits and indoor surfaces.

Also in July 2021, we uncovered CDC records showing that Facebook coordinated closely with the CDC to control the COVID narrative and “misinformation” and that over $3.5 million in free advertising given to the CDC by social media companies.

In June 2021, we revealed that the NIAID under Fauci gave the Wuhan lab $826,000 for bat coronavirus research from 2014 to 2019. Also in June, Judicial Watch announced it filed Freedom of FOIA lawsuits against the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the State Department for information on the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

In March 2021, we uncovered emails and other records of Fauci and Dr. H. Clifford Lane from HHS showing that NIH officials tailored confidentiality forms to China’s terms and that the World Health Organization (WHO) conducted an unreleased, “strictly confidential” COVID-19 epidemiological analysis in January 2020. Additionally, the emails reveal an independent journalist in China pointing out the inconsistent COVID numbers in China to NIAID’s Deputy Director for Clinical Research and Special Projects Cliff Lane.

In October 2020, we received from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services 300 pages of Fauci’s emails, including his approval of a press release supportive of China’s response to the 2019 novel coronavirus.

Judicial Watch Sues Pentagon for Videos/Photos of Afghans Clinging to or Falling from Aircraft in Kabul

Of course, the Biden administration is running from its Afghanistan disaster, but we intend to hold them to account for the catastrophic surrender.

We filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Pentagon for videos and photos of Afghans clinging to or falling off U.S. military aircraft at the Kabul airport. (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Defense (No. 1:21-cv-02543)).

We sued after the Defense Department failed to respond to a basic FOIA request for:

Images, including video, showing Afghans clinging to the sides of a U.S. military aircraft at the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan;

Images, including video, of persons falling from a U.S. Air Force C-17 military transport aircraft after taking off from the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Human remains were found in the wheel well of a C-17 aircraft that had taken off from Kabul. According to the Air Force, “Before the aircrew could offload the cargo, the aircraft was surrounded by hundreds of Afghan civilians who had breached the airport perimeter. Faced with a rapidly deteriorating security situation around the aircraft, the C-17 crew decided to depart the airfield as quickly as possible. In addition to videos seen online and in press reports, human remains were discovered in the wheel well of the C-17 after it landed at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The aircraft is currently impounded to provide time to collect the remains and inspect the aircraft before it is returned to flying status.”

Biden’s Afghanistan surrender was an unmitigated disaster that directly killed and placed in harm’s way our troops and U.S. citizens. And no one will ever forget the images of Afghanis falling from and clinging to our military aircraft. Adding to the Afghan scandal, photos and video of this disaster are now being hidden, contrary to the law, from the American people.

And I trust you know that this lawsuit will likely be the first of many as we seek accountability on what I consider to be the most humiliating defeat in American history.

Jail for Bangladeshi Smuggler Caught Amid Rise in Migrants from Terrorist Nations

Biden’s border crisis has been good business for transnational criminals and the human trafficking operations they run. One such criminal has been apprehended and sent to jail, as our Corruption Chronicles blog reports.

A Bangladeshi man based in Mexico has been sentenced to 46 months in prison for operating an “international human smuggling conspiracy” during a period in which the U.S. saw a spike in migrants from terrorist nations entering the country through the famously porous southern border. The smuggler, 41-year-old Mohamad Milon Hossain, lived in Tapachula in the southeast Mexican state of Chiapas bordering Guatemala. For years Hossain assisted human smugglers operating out of Bangladesh, South and Central America as well as Mexico to “bring numerous undocumented individuals to the U.S. border in exchange for payment,” according to federal documents.

The Bangladeshi smuggler maintained a hotel in Tapachula where illegal immigrants would stay on their way to the U.S., federal authorities say. He then provided the migrants with plane tickets and other tools so they could travel from Tapachula to Monterrey in the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León where a fellow smuggler took over and assisted their illegal crossing into the U.S. “Hossain was a key facilitator and smuggler of Bangladeshi nationals and his actions put our national security at risk,” said Shane Folden, the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agent in charge in San Antonio, Texas, where the case was cracked. Folden added that “HSI is committed to working with its domestic and international partners to combat this type of crime throughout the globe.”

When Hossain got arrested in late 2019 migrants from terrorist nations were trying to enter the United States through Mexico at record rates. At the time an alarming congressional investigation exposed an astounding 300% increase in Bangladeshi nationals attempting to sneak into the country through Texas alone. The feds apprehended Hossain after arriving on a flight at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. He was charged with smuggling 15 illegal aliens from Bangladesh through the Texas-Mexico border in exchange for payment from March 2017 to August 2018. An accomplice, stationed in Monterrey, where the aliens would stay before the last leg of their trek to the United States, has pleaded guilty for his role in the illicit scheme. The feds say he paid drivers to transport the aliens to the U.S. border and gave them instructions how to cross the Rio Grande River.

In the last few years Bangladesh has had a greater presence in the Mexican border region though Syria and Yemen are also well represented. Bangladesh is a South-Asian Islamic country well known as a recruiting ground for terrorist groups such as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). The smuggling operation run by Hossain is part of a broader crisis involving a growing demographic of illegal aliens from terrorist nations entering the U.S. through the Mexican border. The government classifies them as Special Interest Aliens (SIA) and they are flowing north via Latin America in huge numbers, thanks to established Transitional Criminal Organizations (TCO) that facilitate travel along drug and migrant smuggling routes. Tens of thousands of SIAs—from the Middle East, Asia, and Africa—entered Panama and Colombia in recent years. Nearly all the SIA migrants were headed to the United States and most came from Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Bangladesh, and India. Encounters with the special interest individuals resulted in the seizure of tens of thousands of fraudulent documents—including passports and visas—that facilitated travel from their countries of origin through the Americas, the previously cited congressional probe found.

Years ago Judicial Watch, as part of an ongoing investigation into the national security threats created by the porous southern border, uncovered that Mexico is a hotbed of Islamic terrorism. Islamic jihadists are training in southern border towns near American cities and have joined forces with Mexican drug cartels to infiltrate the United States. A few years ago, a high-ranking Homeland Security official confirmed to Judicial Watch that Mexican drug traffickers help Islamic terrorists stationed in Mexico cross into the U.S. to explore targets for future attacks. Among the jihadists that traveled back and forth through the southern border was a Kuwaiti named Shaykh Mahmood Omar Khabir, an ISIS operative who lives in the Mexican state of Chihuahua not far from El Paso. Another was a Saudi Al Qaeda operative, Adnan G. El Shurkrjumah, wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) during his undetected cross-border jaunts.

"Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday issued an executive order that bans vaccine mandates by any entity, including private employers, in the state.

“The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective, and our best defense against the virus, but should remain voluntary and never forced,” Abbott said in a statement upon issuing the order.

The executive order (pdf) states, “No entity in Texas can compel receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine by any individual, including an employee or a consumer, who objects to such vaccination for any reason of personal conscience, based on a religious belief, or for medical reasons, including prior recovery from COVID-19.”

“I hereby suspend all relevant statutes to the extent necessary to enforce this prohibition,” Abbott wrote in the order.He also added the issue as an agenda to the third special legislative session which is currently convened until Oct. 19, to give lawmakers the opportunity to pass a law to similar effect.

“The executive order will be rescinded upon the passage of such legislation,” Abbott wrote.

President Joe Biden in September issued a directive to compel private companies with over 100 employees to have their workers be vaccinated or tested weekly. Once in force, companies face $13,600 in fines per violation.

At the time, Abbott called Biden’s move “an assault on private businesses” and said that “Texas is already working to halt this power grab,” joining more than a dozen states in resisting the mandate.The text of Abbott’s latest executive order, GA-40, reads, “in yet another instance of federal overreach, the Biden Administration is now bullying many private entities into imposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates, causing workforce disruptions that threaten Texas’ s continued recovery from the COVID- 19 disaster.”

It adds, “countless Texans fear losing their livelihoods because they object to receiving a COVID-19 vaccination for reasons of personal conscience, based on a religious belief, or for medical reasons, including prior recovery from COVID-19.”

The governor noted in his executive order that the Texas legislature “has taken care to provide exemptions that allow people to opt out of being forced to take a vaccine for reasons of conscience or medical reasons.”

Abbott previously in June signed into law a measure that bans government entities and private businesses from requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition for service or entry. Businesses that don’t comply with the law will not be able to enter any state contracts and will be ineligible to receive a grant.

A previous executive order Abbott signed in April did not cover private businesses with regard to vaccine passports."
