Ok now that we got over the image..
I do this twice a day, in the winter months.. it has kept me from having 3 to 6 sinus infections a year...now i only get 1 or 2.
It is easy to do.. and not to uncomfortable.
This is the one i use today (the original one i got was from india)

I use one as well.
From PA1 in 2008
I purchased a Neti pot at the Mind Body and Spirit festival in Sydney a few weeks back. Two weeks later I finally got round to doing it, and it is amazing.
Anyway I have been doing it daily for two weeks, and this weekend I decided to mow the grass in our back yard. We have a mulching mower and if you go over any dry areas it kicks up a lot of dust.
Anyway afterwards I have finished and come in - I go to the bathroom - see my Neti pot - and this voice/idea in my head is like "DO NETI NOW".
"But I've already done it today?"
"DO IT NOW"
So I did.
OMG - you should have seen that dirt that it flushed out - it could only be described as mucus mixed with mud. I would have suffered badly had I left it, or just "blown" my nose.
Amazing.
I note that when after I do Neti in the morning, for the next little while I am breathing with both nostrils - all the way through my morning meditation/manifestation session.
I dont use it regularly anymore, but anytime I have been in high pollen or dust it is great.

Neti pots work very very well. Those have been around for a long time for a reason. After I started putting oregano, thyme, ravensara or Thieves oil in mine, the sinus infections stopped all together. I haven't had sinus or even a cold or anything of that nature in I don't know how long. You can't flush with essential oils --they can be very volatile--but steaming with the oils after flushing helps tremendously towards a curative. The bug that causes the sinus never really goes away, a pocket of it remains dormant in there. If you steam it out with some oils it can't get a toe hold again. Other viruses too that seem unrelated to the sinus. A few years ago we were all staying at my sisters house and we were falling like rats to some sort of intestinal bug that lasted 48 hours. With one bathroom in the house I wasn't looking forward to getting sick....something told me to use the Neti Pot and while I got a little barfy feeling I didn't get hit nearly as hard and the symptoms were only around for about 8 hours. Don't know how that one worked but it did.

Neti pot is very useful ... I improvised one since it was a bit difficult to get it when I needed one urgently.
If you clean an empty dish washing soap bottle very well it will do.
But most important: the secret is in the correct fluid you use ... it should be a salt solution of 0.9% or 9 grams of salt on 1 liter of water.
Too much salt and you will dehydrate your sinuses ... The right balance is required or it may also contribute to inflammation of the sinuses.
Remember the 0.9% figure. It represent exactly your body fluid, you might need it in other occasions too.

Do you use tap water? btl water? filtered water?
If you need to make your own ... boil some tapwater for 10 minutes. It will do if you can't buy the ready made.
Stay well and healthy !

A powerful adjunct to this remedy is use of a nasal spray containing xylitol, a sugar. This sugar kills bacteria. A popular brand is Xclear. We also use xylitol toothpaste that kills the bad germs and leaves the beneficial ones.

I use the squeeze-bottle version (Neli-Med Sinus Rinse) and it really gets into the sinuses! Takes some getting used to but it's worth it!

I use the squeeze-bottle version as well, it is not a spray so it flushes your sinuses better, Nasopure is the brand. Comes with pre-mixed packets, but I use a fine crystal sea salt (much less expensive) 1/4 teaspoon to the 4oz bottle. I use it on a daily basis. It become part of you daily routine after awhile. Every time we go out in public, grocery carts, door handles etc... germs are everywhere and salt kills germs. Between that and my MMS I rarely get sick. Good health to you all!

I snort urine directly up my nose from my hand in the shower... :) have been doing for 6 months or so and since this 2 hour show by blood specialist David Jubb drinking all I produce virtually...
...and it is a bodily fluid with the correct saline level pre-made so to speak... One of the best things for the sinus. I certainly wouldn't use tap water up my nose...

Numerous books on it if you can get round the society programmed uw factor. It is effectively like we have a water distiller and structured water maker within our bodies, which also has mono-atomic elements essential for life... My water distiller gets a LOT less use now :) and I worry much less about going off grid now if needs must so to speak...
I have clear sinuses and have done for at least 6 months now...

I use one of these.. the bottle type.. and its the best cure for sinus infections ever!!
Before this i was on endless courses of anti-biotics.
Some people are born with smaller nasel passage ways and they cant get out all the dust and pollens that create the infections in the first place.
Before i found this solution i was headed for surgery.
It might look ewwww.. but its very worth a try for sufferers of sinus issues!!!

I have a deviated septum, but it still kinda works.

I have a diverted septum on the right nostril, it really gives me the sh#ts sometimes but I've been experimenting.
Spraying colloidal silver up both nostrils. seems to work.
spraying diluted tea tree oil up both nostrils(bit stingy) but seems to work.
spaying oxymetazoline hydrochloride up both nostrils seems to work really well.
I'll try mixing tea tree oil and colloidal silver next.
Yeh but yeh but... I'll only piss up my nose when SHTF and there is world war 3 and I don't have a bloody choice ROFL.

Shame it may have to come to that :) until then I'm using not because there isn't anything else, I have a distiller and salt water... I use it it because it it is the best thing for me. Most people reject what is right under their noses due to social programming... shame.

Salt is a fabulous healer not just in Neti pots but all over. I've used it on skin wounds , those sorts that animals get and the difficult skin wounds that diabetics get. Bed sores too. It never fails where antibiotics often will.
