View Full Version : Diabetic info
Hi all,
Sadly my pre-diabetic situation has been happening with more frequency. There was some new information that just came out about a Tibetan Monk that went to Med school in France and has come up with a remedy with outstanding results. Instead of going after the symptoms he decided to focus on the disease. Here in Oregon we have the Yarrow plant which is one of the ingredients to the special tea which I thought was neat because the natives used it for medicinal purposes. The Monk went after removing the dangerous ceramides that cause diabetes. In the test study of diabetes 58 out of 60 were healed with the remaining 2 bringing down sugar levels to much lower and healthy numbers. The person that found the Monk to get the remedy has now worked with a company to make it in pill form. Has anyone else heard of this new remedy called Glucofort? Im excited to be trying it soon and will share my results. Its aimed at type 2 Diabetes.
Hi Mojo,
Have you tried water fasting?
JC
Hi jc71 No yet, Im concerned to start it because my eyes will loose focus when my sugar level is low so I have to eat something. This remedy reduces ceramides in the Pancreas so it can function normally again. I would love to do the water fast soon as its possible though. Thanks...

Alternative treatments require tons of research or you could do more damage.
Diabetes: Fasting may increase a person’s risk of diabetic ketoacidosis and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

Sending Huge Hugs mojo x, I know nothing about this treatment but will be excited to hear your results, it seems in the future we will all have to go back to ancient remedies that actually worked, even though at the time they weren't sure exactly why they worked.
There is an awful lot of forgotten 'old medicine' that I am very sure is so much better than what big Pharma have to offer.

I am interested in the new formula, but in case I can't get it here easily, I am doing well with minimizing carbohydrates and taking berberine. Berberine is an herbal extract. I was pre-diabetic but am now in the normal range.

My wife and I visited a famous Chinese herbal doctor in Taiwan many years ago and he instructed her to eat Sunchoke (https://www.bristolfarms.com/blog/2021/04/sunchokes/) for one year, he said if you can do it consistently for one year, it will cure diabetes. She does take it whenever she can, often it is hard to find. The Sunchoke roots (also known as Jerusalem Artichokes) looks almost like ginger but it tastes like white potato.

Also I read in many alternative remedy books that Berberine (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AGGTXM8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) helps to modulate blood sugar. This helped my wife as well.

One needs Chromium and/or Vanadium for cells to "consume" sugar since it is essential to our DNA's polysaccharides.

Wheat is the Worst Food for you..
Prebiotics is the most Important Food for you.
Wheat causes Diabetics.. High Blood Pressure and Hunger. Wheat spikes blood sugar, worst than a candy bar.
Per Dr William Davis, UnDoctored.com
I lost 25 lbs cutting out Wheat.. With No Hunger.. I have had No Hunger in 2 years..
Everything else is BS.. to sell you something.
Wheat is in everything.. sauces and soups.. etc..

Does any of that work for Type 1 Diabetes?
None of alternative remedies that I know of helps in the Type 1 Diabetes, only Type 2. The reason being is that Type 1 is due to the body not producing insulin or not producing enough. So these alternative remedies work in synergy with available insulin in the body.

1. Causes
Regarding my own patients, mostly all of them have demaged the most important enzyme to process sugar, to make it available to the energy (ATP) production in the mitochondriae. As a result the sugar levels in blood rise, and the person needs much more insuline.
The name of that enzyme is Pyruvat dehydrogenase (PDH).
Too small amounts of insuline is only a co-factor,
The cause for these damages is nitrogen monoxide (NO, nitrosative stress). That toxic gas is produced by the body often as a result of one or more of these circumstances:
- damages in the neck joint (atlas-axis) which lead to circulatory disorders during sleep (60% or my patients)
- chronic inflammations in the gut (50% of my patients)
- viruses, chronic virus diseases like herpes
- exposure to mold
NO reacts mostly with vitamin B12 and iron, but also with all other trace elements, vitamins, enzymes, proteins and make them dysfunctional.
PDH is an enzyme based on iron. That is the reason why almost all of my patients have this special problem with sugar.
Chrome deficiency is often a co-factor, but not the main cause.
2. Treatment
The cells are able to repair or rebuild PDH, when they have access to all of the building blocks that are needed for that enzyme. Namenly: iron, vitamin B1, alphalipon acid
In 2020 Dr. Kuklinski in Germany has presented a patient, that was complete cured from his Type 1 diabetes within 6 months by the following regime:
Vitamin B1 for diabetes
Patient, born 1955
Diabetes mellitus Type 1 since 2014
Doctor:
"Now you have to live with your sugar problem and insulin."
Therapy: Novo-Rapid-Insulin
Since august 2017:
- Vitamin B1 (Benfotiamin) 2x 300 mg daily
- Alphalipon acid 100 mg
- in November 2017 hyoglykaemie
- since December 2017 independently discontinued Insulin
Blood sugar sober and postprandial between 4-6 mmol / l,
even after cake and sundae
I have also started this high dose vitamin B1 therapy for patients, after a basic therapy of all essential vitamins and the individually missing trace elements, and the first two of them are showing much more energy and less symptoms.
An additional remark about iron
With a daily dose of 50 mg iron I see in my patients only about +5% improvement per month. In blood the iron level rises faster (ferritin), but falls back when you stop substituting.
So that means: someone who has a ferritin level of about -60% will have to take iron 50 mg a day for a year or longer.
That's why it is really important do cure an iron deficiency first.
Levels refer to the middle of the normal range.

I am not a diabetic, but read Benfotiamine works on Brain Nerves, Foot and Back Pain and Alzheimer's.. So I started taking 250-500 mg 1-2x/day about 6 months ago...
Immediately I felt more alert, focused and motivated the next morning..
After about 6 weeks I noticed my hip pain from an auto wreck decreased..
Then a month ago a friend told me Frankincense Oil helped a friends severe back pain.. and also cured a teenage girls tumor at the base of her skull by applying it to the scar from an operation.. and taking 2 drops orally twice a day.
So I added the 100% Frankincense Oil topically and orally.. Bingo.. My back pain decreased even more.. as I could tell working in the yard and garden.. there was no pain, but the area felt fatigued.. Applied to an area of long term skin issues.. that had been skin cancer the last few years.... that area has mad significant improvements too.
100% Essential Lemon Oil is also reported in a study to have killed skin cancer in rats. I applied it to a sun damaged area of my face this spring.. after using 3 tubes of chemo cream.. from a dermatologist.. that had helped, but did not kill everything. Bingo.. it cleared up 100%.. So I rotate use of the 2 oils on my scalp where the major skin issue was located.. I estimate it will be healed completely in 6-8 weeks. We are talking about a 55 year problem here.

I'm no Doctor but as a Mum to a daughter who is type 1 diabetic I have to say ..... If you are going to try any alternative remedies then please do it under the care of a medical professional or at least tell them what you are going to do.
You can not mess about if you are a type 1 diabetic. Your pancreas has stopped producing insulin. If you don't receive your insulin you can end up losing limbs, going blind, falling into a diabetic coma and I hate to say it actually dying.
It all sounds great and believe me if there was an easy cure then it would be headline news !!!!!

I am also pre diabetic but you have not mentioned anything about your lifestyle . Are you active, overweight, do you have access to quality foods abnd the resources to buy them?
You may want to consider that ketogenic diets are a good place to start and very simple at their core. As mentioned above wheat and most grains are an issue and for many dairy is as well. Skip breakfast and try to have a tight window of when you eat say perhaps noon to 7 pm. This is a form of time restricted eating or more popularly known as intermittent fasting. There are many variations on theme and some are more extreme but this is the easiest by far. All produce excellent results.
Several studies show that a 30 minute walk after dinner is much more effective than intense exercise for the management of blood sugar. It is extremely common in places like italy to go for an evening stroll after dinner.
Exercise in general is necessary when borderline type 2. There can be no argument here and it is in addition to your evening stroll. It does not have to be intense at all.
Berberine an herb is equal to Metformin the first medicine a type 2 will be put on. It is effective for many.
There are dozens of herbal options to regulate blood sugar but I am sure you can look that up yourself.
I am reading up on glucofort and it seems to have mixed reviews but I may even try it myself......
The point I am trying to impress upon you is that if you do not want to become a type 2 diabetic then act like you are one.
Good luck on your journey and pls keep this thread active.

I had forgotten that I had downloaded this valuable book "Diabetes Type I and II Cure in 72 Hours" last year which discusses natural ways to cure both types of diabetes. This book can be downloaded here (https://biswaroop.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/book-How-to-cure-diabetes-type-I-II-within-72-hrs-ebook.pdf).
The main point of this book is to go on a strict fruits and vegetables diet on a strict timetable to encourage the pancreas to produce insulin properly, so will need to make big changes in the diet. The other point is the importance of getting enough exposure to sunshine (at least 30 minutes per day). This should also be supplemented with vitamin D3 + vitamin K2 (https://www.vitaminexpress.org/en/how-to-combine-vitamin-d-and-vitamin-k-properly). The vitamin D3 + vitamin K2 is very important for everyone to protect and enhance our immune system.

This is available on Amazon, but almost all the reviews available on this product is pretty much very negative, many saying that it doesn't work or the ingredients listed on Amazon is not the same as on the bottle. Two of the ingredients I recognize; cinnamon and bitter melon are known natural foods to help modulate blood sugar levels. I add a half teaspoonful of cinnamon spice to my oatmeal I usually have for breakfast. I used to eat bitter melon, but over time my intestines developed adverse reaction to it so I don't eat that anymore.

I can't watch the video, as I don't have access to You Tube, but indeed, if you cut out carbs, you probably would not have a problem with blood sugar. Doctors used to prescribe a low carbohydrate diet before insulin was discovered.
For me, as soon as I have certain high carb foods, like rice or bread or honey or bananas, I immediately have symptoms, like feeling tired and having to lie down for half an hour. If I stick to salad and stir fried veggies and tofu, no problem.
It is a bit restrictive, so I like to cheat sometimes. Then I use berberine. If I take it half an hour before I eat, I can eat a wider range of foods with no symptoms.
After eating a pretty straight diet and taking berberine and other herbs for around two years, I have found that my overall health improved, and I can eat foods now that would have been a problem two years ago (like better luck with small amounts of fruit, or a baked potato, than before).
If you read books about blood sugar, you can see that it makes a difference how much of something you eat. I can get away with one or two dates, or a few grapes, but not too many. If I ate a bunch of carb foods one after the other, it would start to add up.
Many herbs are effective for blood sugar. In addition to berberine, bitter melon, cinnamon, turmeric/curcumin, chanca piedra (usually for kidney and gall stones, but also works for blood sugar). I have tried them all, and combination formulas, and they all work. I just read that moringa and hibiscus are good for blood sugar, although I haven't tried those.
I found that I really didn't need anything but the berberine, but I could have used other herbs or combinations instead. If I went to an acupuncturist or an Ayurvedic practitioner, they would have likely had effective formulas.
And yes, you can put cinnamon and turmeric in your food, or make turmeric tea, and that is as good as taking a capsule. I don't want to cook with the same spices every day, so I like capsules.
A few hints:
If you eat carb foods, they add up. They may not kick in completely for a couple of hours. Then you can't figure out why you feel wierd, until you realize you ate something a few hours ago. If I am eating a lot of carbs, I will take berberine at breakfast, lunch and dinner to handle any reactions. And yes, in an emergency, it does work faster to take two berberines.
I always take berberine when I eat beans. They are supposedly low glycemic, but they have a lot of carbs. They just release it slowly over time. They are one of the foods that hit me hours after I eat them.
I sometimes have less of a problem with sugar than with honey or other sweeteners. Sucrose is a complex sugar, it takes time to break down into glucose. If I eat something made with sugar, I can sometimes take herbs right away and the herbs work before the sugar kicks in. I am not recommending sugar, but if it happens...
There are so many things you can do, I think you will have good luck.

If you have issues with losing weight even with Sapien Meds other weight loss videos I suggest you use this. If you are insulin resistant type II then it may be damn near impossible to lose weight no matter what you do. I had that issue for a while until I finally used this video. Not even intermittent fasting was putting a dent in my insulin resistance as I would hit a certain weight and be stuck there while slowly gaining what little I had lost it was a nightmare. That was until I started using this video twice a day that was when the weight starting coming off. In full disclosure I do have the weight loss pendant from Sapien but not even that worked until I starting using this video. Insulin is the fat storage hormone and it does so very well. I just wanted to share this in case someone comes along with the same frustrating issue as me. This started to work within a couple of days and within a week I lost close to 10 pounds no kidding. I do intermittent fast eating one meal a day but in the past when I did this my weight would bounce up if I even looked at a carb. I testing myself last weekend by eating carbs throughout the day stepped on the scale the next morning not an ounce gained. In the past eating carbs like that would blow me up at least 3 pounds. This works, hope this little testimonial helps someone out.

Wow so many great resources posted again, especially Sunny your post it really motivated me and already started a low carb diet. Finally taking some action and very excited and hopeful. Wish I took action sooner but nonetheless I started. The Glucofort will hopefully just add to my cure of type 2 and the real addition later will be Berberine with all the good suggestions heard here. Dear Mojo ... I totally agree with the low carb diet. You may find that your body begins to ' cry out ' for carbs - this is what my daughter tells me it feels like. But she controls her diabetes quite well by counting carbs. She initially when first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes used to weigh every gram of food and worked out the carb contents using apps on her i phone. As time has progressed she knows the values of foods and has become quite adept. Quite often she goes out for a fast walk as she finds this brings down her blood sugar levels.
Take care ....

Amazing is all I can say only after four days of very little carbs. The Glucofort has helped stabilize as well. Onevoice in the above mentioned the negative reviews of Glucofort on Amazon but I since found out that other companies/ researchers etc will write negative comments just to hinder the competitor products. I haven't had dizzyness (ie eyes lacking focus) and the extra weight is coming off. I hope to continue on this path and write future updates. Glucofort IMO combined with changes in diet was to me very helpful but I'm not totally trusting the Glucofort claims that it can work without changes to diet. I say that because it's easy to cheat and eat carbs. Thanks again for the great comments and hope it will help someone else.

About 10 years ago the VA was getting all bent out of shape about my husband's high blood sugar and gave him the test strips and meter, and also assigned him to their diabetic instrctional classes. They labeled him "pre diabetic". This was fine, as diabetes certainly does run in his family. The thing was, the nurses teaching this class were just not the epitome of good health themselves, in my opinion... They were quite obese, and advised (in my opinion) terrible things for the diet, like aspartame laden products and other things that made no sense. They did not mention bread and grain restrictions at all, but fruits and sugar mostly, and replacing these with packaged diabetic foods. So - we delved into it then, and I think it was a book called "Wheat Belly" that opened our eyes. My husband was a big bread eater - sandwiches, toast, crackers, pasta were all a constant. He could not even imagine a meal without bread.
Now, along with all that, he also had other medical crises' pop up around this time, and needed a surgery for which the surgeon refused to operate without a 30 pound weight loss - in 3 months! He simply cut out ALL wheat, in any form. (forget the gluten-free packaged products, etc.) It was simpler to just cut out wheat products totally for him. And the weight did just fall away, without effort. He lost the 30 pounds, and his blood sugar has been in normal range ever since. Although it was almost like going through withdrawal for him, for a week or so, cutting out the wheat.

Long story ---short. I have type 2 diabetes. I am a nominal weight of 84 kg or 185 lbs. I confused some of my symptoms with another medication I'm on which was a dry mouth and thirst and consequently passing a lot of fluids. I ended up in the hospital for a week over wicked high blood sugars.
This thread has been helpful to me and I appreciate the insights.
I have one unique symptom arising not just from sugar but from artificial sweeteners. I have this horrendous itch on the center of my back that gets worse if I consume like diet cola. I grew up on diet soda and never had any issues. I generally avoid the sugary beverages. I had an appointment recently where I was walking home and bought a bottle of flavoured water that noted less than .o5 sugar and this irritated my back to no end that evening this Tuesday past. This itch has been going on for about 1o weeks.
I read online that artificial sweeteners do not cause allergies per say but they can cause skin problems although it is rare.
The itch has been sorta mild the past few days. It is not dried out like from showering. Lotion does not seem to help.
My sugars are still a little high, from 1o-12. My diabetic nurse just adjusted my pre-meal insulin but there has been little change in my readings. I was at 8.8 before dinner today but I ate few carbs at lunch. Her target for me is between 4-8. She just made the change to my insulin yesterday.
Have any of you heard of these skin problems associated with sweeteners? Ignoring the itch is the best policy as scratching begets scratching.
I'm on a super tight budget as an asylum seeker in Ireland. There just isn't much advice on handling a serious itch online. I raised the point with my GP and the doctors at the hospital but they really didn't have any answers. There is no rash, no redness, no swelling, no indication of a disruption to the skin. Not even evidence of some of the bad scratchy days.
Thank you for letting me bend your ear.
