Excellent COVID letter from Prince Edward Island group to their leaders

Someone I know works with a group on Prince Edward Island, in eastern Canada, to support healthy outcomes for those on the island.

That group has just composed and sent to their lead Canadian political and health officials a letter, analyzing, with references, the progress of the COVID diseases and the effectiveness of various mitigation efforts taken or proposed.

It is a most excellent letter … well worth reading in my estimation.

It is a good letter - one that could be a good template for other people.

I would be very interested to see the response. I expect a bunch of political circle talk. A lot of people in these government positions, at least in Canada, are looking for an easy salary with a really good retirement plan - donating a small number of years (as a career goes) gives them a very comfortable retirement package.

With that on the line, they would be willing to tell any story so as not to lose their prospect of a good retirement.

If you add any kind of negative play from the government (blackmail for example) then it is easy to see why the people in government positions are playing along.

I've received no update yet on what the response was to this letter. I've been told that I might hear something this coming week.

Update: as of now, a month later, nothing has come of this letter.
