Advice needed for baby rash problem

Hi Friends,

My niece (1 year and a month old) is having problems with rash. She has been having it since she was born. She keeps scratching herself, and having problems sleeping because of it.

As you all who have children know, when she doesn't sleep, my sister and her husband also don't sleep. It's been going on for a whole year, and let me just say, things are not so easy and relaxed.

We suspected that it was because of some allergies, and they took a test, and she is allergic to 10 substances. My sister has removed them all, both from home and from hers and babies diet, but still no changes.

We have tried a bunch of creams, both medicinal and natural ones, and nothing helps. One of the issues with natural creams is that most of them contain "bees wax", but she is allergic to it.

If someone has any advice for us, we would be greatly thankful.

Maybe try bag balm , I'm sure someone here has an educational answer here , just wait. I did want to share, I had a buddy who had to be admitted to the hospital a few times , he started getting sick every time he was home, very ill. Come to discover he had a shop vacuum in his basement he had used that had standing water in it, it was filled with mold inside and was spreading thru his house via the furnace. I would also be suspect of the colored dye in foods. Just some thoughts.

Sounds like it could be eczema..or did the doc discount that ? My daughter had it when she was younger. We treated it with hydrocortisone cream which is good but must be used sparingly and not for long periods as I understand it. Emolient cream and bath soap are good too. Not sure if that's any help to you 💜 hope you find a treatment.x

Chineses medicine is really good for skin conditions such as this but it can be expensive and like most things some practitioners are better than others, try and get a reference,

I am not sure how many chineses medicine practitioners you have in serbia, but in the Uk I know of many people with skin conditions who tried everything then found a cure or at least some improvement through Chinese medicine.

I recall one little baby was highly allergic to pampers and huggies. The rash spread all over her body. What they did was kept her naked until it subsided. They switched to cloth diapers and washed her clothes separately from the rest with gentle detergent.

Maybe along the same lines, I know of an adult that is allergic to a certain laundry detergent. I don’t recall the brand.

People with red or blonde hair, blue or green eyes or fair skinned tend to have more sensitivities. Some example are eggs and dairy, and in the environment it can be animal dander, mold & mildew, grass and tree pollens. These may cause difficultly breathing, wheezing, rashes, hives and itching that feels like ants crawling under the skin.

We have always used this on our babies, also just corn starch if she doesn't have an allergy to it.
The above is found on Amazon and in some pharmacies over the counter.

Hi XelNaga, My eldest suffered terribly as a baby with eczema on her bits and pieces, so much so it used to bleed and the skin was really cracked. My Mother-in-law told me that during the second world war they used to add bicarbonate of soda into the baby's bath water and then bathe the baby. This used to take all the
' sting ' out the eczema and calmed the site down considerably. I did this with my eldest and it really helped. Zinc and castor oil cream is also good - here in the UK it is pretty much what is in nappy cream called ' Sudocreme.'
My children use the following on my Grand-children and they are really good creams :-
Metanium -Nappy Rash Ointment ( this gets used when the rash is really, really bad. )
Bepanthen - Nappy Care Ointment

All I can add to this thread is good old fashioned aloe vera plant, a piece broken in half and the gel rubbed over the affected parts of the skin. Other than that what about get getting a test done where they do many substances which are applied to the skin to see what sample maybe causing the problem. It maybe expensive but will in all probability get to the root of the cause.
