I was told today of a news report in the UK of a guy at a garage who was putting petrol into a plastic carrier bag... he noticed it was leaking so he reached into his car and put the bag into a wicker basket.

We have idiots on this side of the Atlantic as well.

Setting aside the fact that this idiot violated numerous state and federal criminal and civil laws rightfully intended to protect the public and the environment, what was captured in this video has to be on the top of anybody’s list of the most idiotic things one could do.

It may be that he made it wherever he was going without frying himself and others, but I’ll bet a dollar to a hole in a donut that he was eventually paid a visit by the local police and was given a number of citations. That will be the most expensive petro this guy ever procured.

I went to (that website that people download videos to) and looked at several videos of this incident. One of which was put up by Julius Dein (?). Apparently he's a magician/video prankster. It says in the description he uses various trickery and video editing to make his videos. (So, I guess he has more). And the video was done in Las Vegas.

Anyway, ....... watch and come to your own conclusions.

Hmmm. The fluid in the bed of the truck did look more like water than fuel. I said that to my wife, but did not go down that road in my first post.

If this was a scam, trick, whatever, the couple doing the video were probably in on it and helped sell it. In fact, as I thought about it more, the female seemed to be playing a role. Hard to say.

The main thing that made me question what was going on was the apparent color of the “fuel”, but it did seem to be coming out of the hose which appeared to be connected to the gas pump. But that could be mimicked pretty easily.

More important things to focus on than this.

He could have pulled up with it already filled with water, and added a maybe 10c worth of gas at the pump, while the closeup shot was happening. If you look carefully he's not pumping anything, until the guy walks up with the camera, then after a while, you see him start to pump a tiny amount, then the video is cut.

Just sayin' it could have been faked pretty easily ... the scary part is that its totally believable in today's society.

I also noticed a bunch of liquid underneath the vehicle. Or so it appeared.

Published today!

A drunk person joins a search party looking for himself.

According to a bizarre new tale, a Turkish guy who went missing in a forest ended up joining the hunt for himself.

Beyhan Mutlu, 50, of Bursa's northern province, was reported missing on Tuesday when he wandered out inebriated in the forest from his group of friends, according to the Daily Sabah.

Mutlu ended up joining a group of volunteers who were assisting authorities in their search for him, according to the site.

Mutlu seemed perplexed when the volunteers began chanting his name, and inquired who they were looking for, according to Turkish news channel NTV.

He reportedly assured them, "I am here."

According to the news sites, when authorities discovered the man had formed his own search party, they gave him a lift home.
