I was wondering how many of you have seen a definite change in the mental health of people you know. I have been married for 30 years and lately I have seen my husband becoming more bad-tempered. Not that he is violent, he is a gentle soul, but I have seen him lose his temper over small things. We are lucky here in Taiwan, we have a lot of freedom, even though we still have to wear masks. The reason why I am asking is because my husband sits and watch Youtube constantly, and it is always about this virus. I, on the other hand, do not watch TV or Youtube or any of the propaganda. I feel he is being brainwashed and is living in fear all the time. Someone else with the same experience?
Not related to this, but how do I give a post a thank you? I cannot find a button anywhere.

Your husband and everyone else are influenced every time we look at our screens. Beliefs can be shaped this way so you're right in the money. I'm constantly undoing programming that my kids are subjected to. Things like cancel culture, etc.

hi joe1964 today as i was driving and approaching a crossstreet in which i had the right of way, a young guy walked right across the road right in the path of my car without turning his head or flinching in the slightest of ways. If I wasnt alert I would have hit him.
I got out of my car and yelled towards him. he never looked back as if like a robot or, zombie.
I think everything is taking is taking its toll.
btw the thanks button is bottom left of each post section/ says thanks

In her first novel since The Quick and the Dead (a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize), the legendary writer takes us into an uncertain landscape after an environmental apocalypse, a world in which only the man-made has value, but some still wish to salvage the authentic.

Far too many people are numb. That is, unable to think, feel or act naturally because of one or more things or events that are upsetting or unsettling. As in morass, overwhelm, all-consuming....
Don’t worry. Be happy.
