What does it mean?
Is this significant or mundane? I can't book cinema tickets beyond 6th Jan, can you?
Might be nothing, they might be having a lag because of the holiday, but I thought Christmas and new year were big on cinema's calendars. It might change in the next few days but at the moment I can't book a cinema ticket for this Friday night, on a Monday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

January 6th is "Epiphany" - the day of the Three Kings arriving to meet Jesus. In the Eastern Orthodox church it is call Theophany:
Theophany (from Ancient Greek (ἡ) θεοφάνεια theophaneia, meaning "appearance of a deity") is a personal encounter with a deity, that is an event where the manifestation of a deity occurs in an observable way. Specifically, it "refers to the temporal and spatial manifestation of God in some tangible form.

Last year, 6 Jan 2021, it was the day the "insurrection" of Trumpers who "stormed" the capitol building, a major psych-op which had to lot to do with which "deity" was going to reign over the U.S for the next four years.
Does one have to be vaccinated to enter a cinema where you are?

I don't think so, but possibly. I have no plans to go to the cinema myself. I heard about this and thought it was odd in what I thought was cinema season. It spooked me slightly enough to share, but wouldn't be surprised if it was a big little nothing :o

I’ve just tried every film currently listed at my local Showcase Cinema.
Same as Matthew, nothing available after the 6th…
Vue Cimemas are the same. Checked 5 different locations. Nothing available to book after the 6th.
It is unusual, I go to the cinema a lot and usually do often book at least a week in advance. Strange multiple cinemas are the same.
I’ll give them a ring 😉

I’ve just rang my local Showcase and the lady said “for some reason they haven’t released any of the following weeks times as yet, but they will be released tomorrow…”

Ok I checked, no. England requires masks and recommends a LFT, and Scotland has a few more restrictions and Wales and NI have gone to s***
This page bullet points the restrictions by UK country

Last time I went inside the movies was in 2014 if memory serves me well. I can live without it, I have torrents and a big screen at home :) and of course popcorn!
I went with my kid to get some info on Karate classes for kids and the sensei asked if my kid were vaccinated! also the kids have to wear mask during the training, I looked that sensei in the eyes and walked away without saying a word.
Yeah, I guess things are getting super retarded now.

I just tried buying movie tickets here in the USA for the 7th and the same thing happened. The website says
Sorry, no showtimes have been announced yet for this theatre. Showtimes for Friday and beyond are usually posted by Wednesday afternoon.
As far as I know, that may be standard policy here in the USA. The theater contracts to show the movie for a week and then renews the contract (or not) on Wednesday, based on ticket sales, reviews, hype, etc.

I have not been to a movie theatre in quite a while. But now here in Canada (Ontario at least) you can not buy popcorn or drinks anymore. No eating in the theatres.
If this continues, I don't know how movie theatres will continue - they make most of their money from people buying food and drinks there.

Seems like the reason is mundane, nice one for ringing them up . I'm personally expecting the schedule to be back in the next couple of days, then I'll continue to completely avoid the cinema with peace of mind

I had a freak out a few months ago that reminded me of this. I thought I would stop at the bank and deposit a check in the ATM before taking a 40 miles trip. When I got there the bank and the ATMs were boarded up with a sign that said "closed for renovations." So, I knew of a branch near my destination that I had not been to in a few years. When I got there, that branch was also closed and empty and there wasn't even a sign. I panicked for a moment as I thought the moment when Claus Schwab thought I should have nothing and be happy had finally arrived.
I later learned that branch closed several months ago and found another branch that was! Phew!
I guess we are all on edge thinking "What's going to happen next?" and this little things can trigger panic.

Still unable to book anything after Thursday.
Maybe the Xmas bank holiday has affected it?
Either that or Klaus has said “you will watch Amazon Prime at home alone, and be happy” 😆

People are suggesting lockdowns coming?

They've taken the Parliament Square boards down now. I'm going to have fun checking the cinema bookings for after the 6th Jan shortly. Hopefully bookings for that date range are working now and back to normal boring again.

For what it's worth, here's a one minute video, dated yesterday — and more interesting than that may be the many affirming YouTube comments, from North America as well as the UK. It does seem a little odd.

You can now book the normal week or so ahead at a couple of my local ones. It’s allowing to book upto the 14th.
Normal service is resumed. Very strange! I wonder has there been some form of licensing issues going on.

Just checked Vue (Cardiff) and Spider Man seems available (https://www.myvue.com/cinema/cardiff/film/spider-man-no-way-home/times) on the 7th (on onwards) on the condition that "I agree to bring my Covid passport" which is never gonna happen.
Their loss not mine - I've written to them telling them as such.
I'm a small fish in a very big pond I know, but it's something they might need to consider when anticipating their future profitability.

So, it could be some sort of conditioning psyop just to put folks even further on edge. Then, "poof!", everything goes back to the safety of normal, "Whew!".
It wouldn't be difficult to do and I certainly wouldn't put anything past these psychos.

Good point!
I’ve noticed their Gaslighting level has been switched up to 11 since the end of last year.
The Psych Op is really in full effect now.
