Many thanks, and I'll definitely watch this. (I've not been to Zanskar, but Ive been to neighboring Ladakh several times. It's a stunningly beautiful place, with stunningly beautiful people.)

Another beautyful docu about the fascinating world of tibetan buddhism , this one about the young monks high up in the himalaya's.

This is from a fairly unique region:


Zanskar, together with the neighboring region of Ladakh, was briefly a part of the kingdom of Guge in Western Tibet.

The Zanskar River is the first major tributary of the Indus River, equal or greater in volume than the main river, which flows entirely within Ladakh.

The Zanskar Range is a mountain range in the union territory of Ladakh that separates the Zanskar valley from Indus valley at Leh. Geologically, the Zanskar Range is part of the Tethys Himalaya.



Guge was humongous in Sarma or Second Transmission of Buddhism into Tibet, which makes it historically pivotal. Zanskar is inhabited by Mon or Tibetan people, but is not part of the country of Tibet. Because it is in India, it was unaffected by the Chinese.

Neighboring Alchi Rumtek is the oldest continuously-functioning Buddhist site (1100s).

Temporarily Guge had its own art style which is exemplary. Here is a 1400s Usnisa Vijaya:

I have learned a few things in my time of consciousness.

A one sided story is just that, a story.... NOT the truth.

In times of abundance some people see potentiality for advancement via charity, in fact it's almost directly proportional. We are not designed to live in high density populations, some people take advantage of that.

At the end of the day, the vast majority of people in these situations are either suffering from mental situations due to trauma, or due to lack of support or due to PTSD; but in some cases they are just "grifters" and unfortunately it's more often than you think.

I've done a lot of volunteer work and worked with young males from the projects in the Caribbean for 8 years (https://www.cruzancowgirls.com/)... It's shocking how often certain life styles are literally "by choice".


I've also learned the high disturbing truth that certain people LOVE being victims (it seems mostly for the low effort validation and attention), however; they completely ignore that they are diluting the valid issues that other people face (or die of) for their own selfishness.
