Having just come across this recently I know very little about it. However it appears to be one of those very old medications still in use today with many many beneficial effects if taken in very small doses and is harmful if too much is taken. I do know that Pharmaceutical grade should be used and not fish tank cures. It increases Mitochondrial energy. It has been found to cure UTI's where antibiotics have become useless. It has been used to stop pneumonia in Covid cases. It is used in Carbon Monoxide poisoning and in any fungal and parasitic infection. It is used on skin to rejuvenate and the list goes on. Does anyone have experience of using this?

Here is an up to date and in depth interview between Dr Mercola and Francisco Gonzalez-Lima.

https://soundcloud.com/drmercola/health-benefits-of-methylene

More studies are being done on the effectiveness of Methylene blue for many illnesses like Hypoxia (so helps the vaxxed ), Dementia, Alzheimers , cancer and raising energy levels in the mitochondria. They go into such issues as dosage and when you should not take it. The most effective way according to Dr Gonzalez is to take it with VitC as this makes absorbtion easier. Some people recommend putting tabs of the blue under the tongue because it helps the blue to penetrate the brain but here that idea is refuted as being less effective.

Having been on this for a few months on a really low dose I can really recommend it for increased energy and I find it enormously helpful when dealing with an overload of EMF's.

Further to this here is a cut and paste from Jack Kruse. The full article can be found here.
https://jackkruse.com/biohacking-time-with-methylene-blue/

A lack of UV and IR light with excessive chronic blue light exposure bends light in the brain to make aquaporin 4 water gates stay open and causes more seizures and poor thinking because this lowers dopamine levels……..The longer an AQA 4 gate stays open the more AMPK pathways are up regulated and the more glucose a cell uses and the more ELF-UV light it releases and the more calcium will efflux. Nora Volkow and Allan Frey have published on this. The more ELF-UV light emitted the lower your vitamin D levels will be measured in your blood plasma. This is the basis of the Warburg effect. It is a chronic light stress response and not a cancer pathway as most believe today. Blue light elicits the Warburg metabolism. Hack it.
What mitigates this effect? Methylene blue might. Biohack with methylene blue. Methylene blue has massive effects on mitochondria. Remember water can be blue shifted when it has less light energy within its molecular networks. By absorbing blue light and appearing blue, it can circulate easily through the bodies’ fluids; it reflects blue light inside of us while acting as another electron donor would in a mitochondria, oxygenating cells and reversing the very damages caused by an excess of blue light at our surfaces.
Methylene blue combined with sun light has been used to treat resistant plaque psoriasis, AIDS-related Kaposi’s sarcoma, West Nile virus, and to inactivate staphylococcus aureus,[used it in a biohack] HIV-1, Duck hepatitis B, adenovirus vectors, and hepatitis C. It is now being used in autoimmune conditions, neuro-degenertion, TBI, and diabetes. Phenothiazine dyes and light have been known to have virucidal properties for over 70 years. This is why methylene blue works in combating many viral diseases. I have a sense this is why MB is on the ISS in space. It is also why I think endosymbiosis might have been between a virus and a bacteria and not an archea and bacteria. Eukaryotes still benefit from MB treatments, so it means our viral marketing is a deep evolutionary link to our nucleic acid design and function.
Methylene blue also blocks accumulation of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) by inhibiting the enzyme guanylate cyclase: this action results in reduced responsiveness of vessels to cGMP-dependent vasodilators like nitric oxide (NO) and carbon monoxide (CO). These both work critically in the RPE of the retina where the melanopsin receptors are in our ganglion cells. NO and CO both work with incident UV light to increase O2 in tissues. Most diseases are associated with low venous oxygen saturation. This is why David Sinclair’s work showed most neolithic diseases were always linked to psuedohypoxia and low NAD+. Methylene blue increases O2 by helping hemoglobin’s heme protein offload more O2. Methylene blue can also serve as a non-selective inhibitor of NO synthase based upon the amount of UV light and oxygen present in a stimulus. This is very important in the vascular bed. It also makes every tissues have its own quantum signals. This is why RCT are close to worthless when you understand mitochondria function well. It also points out why the first four thoracic sympathetic rami link directly to the carotid system in humans. This pathway can be used to modulate the central retinal pathways in the eyes of man when his environment is made alien by an altered light frequency or by nnEMF.
Methylene blue can act as an alternative electron acceptor, and reverses the NADH inhibition in mitochondria. This means it raises NAD+. This is why cardiac and neuro surgeons and orthopedic muscular surgeons like to use it in their sick patients. Methylene blue can be an adjunct in the management of patients experiencing vagoplegic syndrome after cardiac surgery. I’ve used it for neurogenic vasospasm in subarachnoid aneurysmal bleeds. It has been used in compartment syndrome by orthopedic surgeons for these reasons.
Methylene blue is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor. MAOI’s act by inhibiting the activity of monoamine oxidase, thus preventing the breakdown of monoamine neurotransmitters and thereby increasing their availability. Thusly, methylene blue increases dopamine, melatonin, serotonin, and melanin levels on our surfaces to increase our ability to deal with sunlight properly. This makes MB a classic silent vagal stimulant. It means that vagal tone and UV light assimilation are fundamentally linked in the autonomic nervous system. It will also increase epinephrine and nor-epinephrine levels to increase BP and muscle power on a short term basis. This explains why cold thermogenesis increases beta three sympathetic receptors to liberate protons in brown fat for beta oxidation on mitochondria.
The parasympathetic nervous system uses chiefly acetylcholine (ACh) as its neurotransmitter, although peptides (such as cholecystokinin) can be used. The ACh acts on two types of receptors, the muscarinic and nicotinic cholinergic receptors. Most transmissions occur in two stages: When stimulated, the preganglionic neuron releases ACh at the ganglion, which acts on nicotinic receptors of postganglionic neurons. The postganglionic neuron then releases ACh to stimulate the muscarinic receptors of the target organ. These changes occur by monitoring how much UV light is being added back into the atomic lattice of our tissues at night. Nicotine is a fluorophore protein.
8. Nicotinic channels mediates the majority of fast excitation in autonomic ganglia. Nicotine is made from aromatic amino acids that absorb UV light. Nicotine is a nightshade plant. People who’s cells lack a decent quantity of ELF- UV light have trouble tolerating nightshade plants. Nicotine increases dopamine levels naturally. Anything that increases dopamine levels has huge effects on silent vagal stimulation. Not everyone can use this because not everyone can assimilate UV light well photoelectrically.

9. Methylene blue is also a photosensitizer that generates peroxides and has a huge effect on catalase in RBC’s. MB can used to create singlet oxygen when exposed to both oxygen and light. Singlet oxygen is needed at cytochrome one in small bursts to lower mitochondrial heteroplasmy. This is why diabetics and obese people have no superoxide burst at cytochrome 1. Diabetics and the obese are people who came into the world with loose mito-nuclear coupling that got worse by blue light and nnEMF to lead to their other diseases. My own personal story falls into this here. This is why my job limits my own results. I learned this the hard way in my own bio-hacks. Diabetics and the obese need an ideal superoxide burst to clear our badly functioning mitochondria to increase their coupling to better match the environment they choose to live in. Fasting can help, but those who are leptin resistant have low ELF-UV light so the effect is lowered. Hence why I tell people to do the Leptin reset before using intermittent fasting as a way to shrink their respiratory proteins. MB can be used in this regard to make organic peroxides by a Diels-Alder reaction, which is “electron spin forbidden” with normal atmospheric triplet oxygen.

10. When you know how light and the photoelectric effect altered electron spin, you simply begin to do better in your chosen alien world. Do you still think any of the autoimmune protocol’s being sold by food guy’s really work, or they all half truths?

Fish Tank cleaner is fine at low doses, basically anything lower than as an antidepressant or antimalarial doses.

I use the Kordon brand occasionally. Can't say I feel much, but it is a cool party trick to piss out blue.

Using fish tank grade MB is not recommended because it is potentially full of contaminants and heavy metals etc. If you are peeing it out that is not a small dose.
Only take this if you have a belly full of water and have swallowed live fish.

Found this from a link on Wade Fraziers posts. There are several things to take for vax injuries and Methylene Blue is one of them.

https://covid19criticalcare.com/treatment-protocols/i-recover/

Methylene Blue:
Methylene Blue (MB) has a number of biological properties that may be potentially beneficial in vaccine-injured patients. MB induces mitophagy (mitochondrial autophagy) and has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, neuroprotective, and antiviral properties. MB and photobiomodulation (PBM) have similar beneficial effects on mitochondrial function, oxidative damage, and inflammation, and the two treatments are often combined.
Low-dose MB is a therapeutic option in patients with brain fog and other neurological symptoms. Patients or their healthcare providers need to purchase high-quality methylene blue powder and formulate an orally administered 1% solution (10 mg in 1 ml solution – 0.5 mg/drop) as follows: Mix 1 gram of methylene blue with 100 ml of water.

Dosing of LDMB: start with 1 or 2 drops in the morning for the first two days. On the third day, increase the dosage to 3 drops daily for the next two days. Continue increasing the dosage by 1 drop every 2 days (guided by symptoms – i.e., improvement in fatigue and/or cognitive improvement) until you reach a maximum of 22 drops. The optimal dose is highly individualized and each patient needs to find the right dose for them. Take LDMB for 6 days in a row. Take the 7th day off every week to allow the body to reset. LDMB will cause your urine to be blue or blue-green. Some patients may experience a Herx reaction. A Herx reaction may cause fatigue, nausea, headache, or muscle pain due to “accumulated toxins” leaving the body. If you experience a Herx reaction, stop the protocol for 48 hours and then resume again slowly.

DO NOT take MB if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Yes, imho Methylene blue deserves so much more attention, than it currently gets. And considering, how cheap it is (though, look for USP grade), it is imho a substance, everybody should get access to try out.

A friend of mine, having CFS >20 years and trying so many protocols/supplements (probably all vitamins/minerals high dose- from Vitamin C dozens gramm a day, iodine high dose, B Vitamins, etc., hormones, what doctors gave her... nothing helped), finally has found in MB "the magic bullet", that helps her function so much better. Healing is taking place. (she has significantly more energy, when she takes 5-10 drops, 3x/day. And she feels clearly, when the energy MB gives her, is used up. So she feels, when it is time, to take her next dose).

There is no "one size fits all" - so some I know feel little to nothing taking it, others feel a huge difference right away. Almost everybody I know, who did not feel immediate effects, and kept taking it, started feeling subtle changes after a couple days or weeks. e.g. Histamin Response going down. Not having to go pee all the time, not crashing after excersize or stress.
Change in sleep paterns. Change in mood and energy.
Gut/Digestion less delicate etc.

I only know people taking it rather low dose (a few drops once, twice or three times a day). (Sloan and other recommend taking >=1mg/kg/day. This would be 1-2 Drops/kg of weight, so approximately 70-140 drops for a 70kg (150lbs) person. I do not know anyone taking such high doses yet).

I myself can take it twice/day, but not too late (if I take it too late, it gives me too much energy and I cannot go to sleep).
(I take it in a capsule, because I do not like the taste at all).

If I feel like taking it easy, MB does not change a thing (for me). But when I need to get something done (and do not feel up to it, because of lack of energy), MB makes it really easy to stick to the plan/finish whatever has to be finished.
eg. after a birthday party from my kid. I had great amount of energy, preparing it and while it was going. But when the party was over/his friends were picked up, I was sooooo exhausted. I could not even lift me up, to get a sip to drink or go to bed.
Finally, I managed to take some MB and after a while I started cleaning the whole house without a problem for 2 hours without a break. I had not planned on doing it that night. All I wanted to do was was to put away food in the fridge and maybe start the diswasher and then go to bed (and do the rest the next day). Instead - woah - I could not stop myself making a big cleanup on 3 levels. It just happened, because my energylevel suddenly was so high.

MB could/should help with a lot of aging related aspects.

Here is an interesting interview (Part 1 of 2) with Dr. Levy on the topic.
Levy is one of "THE" Vitamin C experts. I find it funny, that he says, he researched vitamin C for over 30 and is now amazed to have found methylen blue doing in many aspects the same as, plus so much more then vitamin C:

Self-replicating nanobots in the VAXX are prevented by Methylene Blue from doing what they were designed to do.
This is a new use for Methylene Blue (though it has been recommended previously for recovery from VAXX side effects and injury) and there is not yet a lot of info about dosage, etc. but no doubt Dr. Ana will be coming out with more detailed info soon.

Methylene Blue
Methylene Blue is safe, inexpensive and easy to access online.
It prevents the formation in the Vaxx of the self-replicating nanobots into what seem to be the equivalent of RFID chips.
..And which are now being found in the blood of the unvaxxed as well, not just from shedding, but from distribution via the air, water, food and some pharmaceuticals.
Methylene Blue not only prevents the formation of RFID- like chips in the blood, but rubbery blood clots as well, and is a safe treatment for other medical conditions.

Dr. Mihalcea and her colleagues are the best source of scientific data about what's in the Vaxx and how to deal with it that I have found so far.
There is a lot of technical jargon in this article from her, but there's more about Methylene Blue, and the essential info is not difficult to understand.
I would stock up on it!

It also makes every tissues have its own quantum signals.

I didn't want to quote the entire interview, since you can read Trisher's post, above. But I wanted to say that it looks like an absolute "word salad" to me. I'd like someone who understands the terminology to say whether any of it makes sense.

"It also makes every tissues have its own quantum signals."

Hmm, from a search: Crudely speaking, quantum signals are electromagnetic excitations of a transmission line that involve only a few photons. The state of these excitations must display some degree of quantum purity for the signals to carry quantum information, which is the subject of interest in Josephson circuits.

Frankly, I'm non the wiser. I get the fimpression that the authors strung a bunch of technical terms together in the hope that it looked good and nobody would question it. I might be wrong - it's not my field of expertise - but I question it.

I'm not saying that methylene blue isn't useful but I simply don't understand this explanation.

Methylene Blue is Beneficial for Slowing Skeletal Aging and Treating Brain Disorders

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlm5BuQXUUw
Story at-a-glance

Methylene blue, first synthesized in 1876, evolved from a textile dye to an essential medical compound. It promotes mitochondrial health by enhancing energy production and reducing oxidative stress.

Recent research suggests methylene blue is useful in the treatment of traumatic brain injury and conditions like Alzheimer's disease.

A March 2024 study indicates methylene blue supports bone health by inhibiting osteoclast differentiation, reducing the risk of age-related bone loss when combined with lifestyle modifications.

Methylene blue offers various other health benefits, including reducing UTI risk, improving skin health, managing osteoarthritis and enhancing the effects of niacinamide on metabolic health.

When selecting methylene blue, opt for pharmaceutical-grade (USP) varieties with 99% purity; avoid industrial or chemical-grade options, as they contain harmful contaminants. Recommended dosages are included.

Surprised to see this thread - Methylene Blue was an early psychiatric drug, on the basis that it stains nerve tissue (and is used for this purpose in microscopy). Methylene Blue has chemical relationships to some of the later psychiatric agents, and was a starting point for their development. MB led to the investigation of another dye called Summer Blue, which formed the chemical basis for some of the best known antipsychotics, antihistamines, antidepressants, anti-epileptic drugs...

(Many of the major current Big Pharma corporations, started life manufacturing coloured dyes.)

https://rxisk.org/gregs-dilemma-feeling-blue/

The author of the above is David Healy (https://davidhealy.org/blog/), and a very reliable and informed psychiatrist he is, IMO (he has been a good friend and mentor of mine, in the past).

The point I would make is that Methylene Blue is indeed an effective and powerful drug, with a pretty wide range of therapeutic effects - but like other effective and powerful drugs, it will have a significant risk of undesirable side effects. People should (I believe) be just as careful taking Methylene Blue, as they would be about taking many of the other strong psychiatric drugs (even the best of them).

With agents that significantly change our bodies and brains; it is always a question of balancing benefits against problems, possible risks versus possible harms.

Benefits and Side Effects of Methylene Blue — A Comprehensive Guide

@DoctorMercola:2/the-surprising-health-benefits-of-methylene-blue-interview-with-francisco-gonzalez-lima:3
Story at-a-glance

Methylene blue enhances mitochondrial function and cellular energy production, improving cognitive function, liver health and overall cellular efficiency.

Studies suggest methylene blue benefits Alzheimer's patients by slowing cognitive decline and brain atrophy. It also shows promise in treating depression.

Methylene blue demonstrates liver-protective effects by activating SIRT1, enhancing fat metabolism and reducing inflammation. It also aids in estrogen metabolism, supporting hormonal balance.

The compound exhibits potent anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting multiple inflammasomes and reducing proinflammatory molecules. It helps manage various inflammatory conditions and improve survival in severe cases.

While generally safe, methylene blue can cause side effects like blue discoloration of urine and interactions with certain medications. Proper dosage and pharmaceutical-grade products are crucial for safe use.

Dr. Thomas Levy

“Probably the single most important characteristic of methylene blue is that it rejuvenates mitochondria. If you rejuvenate mitochondria in the brain, magic starts to happen. People with neurological disorders that are felt to be irreversible are not irreversible. It just turns out they’re irreversible when traditional methods of treatment are used to treat them. “

“…So even without needing or having to understand biochemistry at all, in a nutshell, methylene blue makes mitochondria, which are the powerhouses of your cells, which means that the powerhouses of your body makes mitochondria much more efficient in making energy and much more efficient in generating less oxidative stress in the process of generating that energy. “

“Methylene Blue helps the brain, improved mood, improved energy, enhanced cognitive function, a greater sense of wellbeing. It’s safe. And as you mentioned, it’s a very powerful antioxidant, and it seems to work a lot in the central nervous system.

“And early on it was discovered by a number of people who worked with it, including Dr. Paul Ehrlich, a Nobel Prize winner was that, wow, some people who were depressed just started losing their depression after they took methylene blue. “

Snippets from the transcript (https://realhealthpodcast.org/2023/09/a-second-look-at-methylene-blue/):

Dr. Thomas Levy: “…when you get into the substance of it, you realize it’s just an incredibly dynamic therapy. And as we’ve discussed, and not all antioxidants have this property. I might add an antioxidant is not an antioxidant, it’s not an antioxidant, but methylene blue in many ways parallels the activities of vitamin C in the body and what it does and the effects that it has on increased oxidative stress inside cells and oxidized biomolecules, and along with some unique and increased activity over vitamin C when it comes to problems with the central nervous system.

Dr. Ron Hunninghake: It’s been looked upon as a nootropic, which that is something that helps the brain, improved mood, improved energy, enhanced cognitive function, a greater sense of wellbeing. It’s safe. And as you mentioned, it’s a very powerful antioxidant, and it seems to work a lot in the central nervous system. So what is it that makes it different from vitamin C that makes it so useful in terms of cognitive functions?

Dr. Thomas Levy: Well, as we just mentioned, it is a powerful antioxidant. And generally speaking, for any condition that you want to get effective clinical outcomes, you want to have a way of delivery, whether it’s vitamin C or anything else, a very powerful antioxidant effect in the tissue that’s involved. So with that in mind, it turns out that methylene blue has fat-soluble characteristics. It has water-soluble characteristics. It’s not that large a molecule, and it very, very rapidly gets taken up into the cells throughout the body. And some of the literature says that it gets up to 100-fold more concentrated inside the central nervous system than the rest of the body, only an hour after administration. So it really likes the central nervous system. And early on it was discovered by a number of people who worked with it, including Dr. Paul Ehrlich, a Nobel Prize winner was that, wow, some people who were depressed ju

Dr. Ron Hunninghake: I think if I just take a moment here and explain to the audience how I make my own methylene blue solution to take, because that was a number of the comments were, “Now, how do you make this stuff? What’s the best way to take it?” And there’s a lot of different ways, but I think this particular way elucidates what you just said, if you want to make yourself a methylene blue drink, what you do? What I do is take some warm water, warmer hot water, and I put ascorbic acid in the water, maybe a half of a teaspoon, and then I’ll take my pharmaceutical grade methylene blue drops that are available off the internet, and I’ll put 20 drops in, which is 10 milligrams of methylene blue.

Interestingly enough, as it drips in, it’s dark inky blue, so you have to be careful how you handle methylene blue because it can really stain stuff. It’s dark and inky, but it starts to react with the vitamin C water, and it turns into leuko methylene blue, which is a kind of a very light, kind of blue or turquoise color. And it’s fascinating to see the color metric change that occurs. Now, Dr. Levy, why is that important to have a methylene blue that now owns an extra electron? What does that do to help the cell function better, especially cells in the brain?

Dr. Ron Hunninghake: Just for our general audience, in terms of dosage, we had a number of questions and comments about dosing. Well, first of all, are there any contraindications to using methylene blue, isn’t it the antidepressants theoretically could be a problem, and you may have to start really low in that case.

Antioxidant Power of Methylene Blue

There’s a lot of theory about Alzheimer’s being related to chronic low grade infection in the brain. And you’ve talked a lot about how the biofilm in the nose could be feeding bacteria into the brain, and certainly the methylene blue has shown to have antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral properties. And so if you’re getting more of that in your brain, you may be helping to reduce at least the viral or infectious etiologies of chronic brain disease, Alzheimer’s or whatever.” ~ Dr. Thomas Levy
Snippets from transcript: (https://realhealthpodcast.org/2023/03/antioxidant-power-of-methylene-blue/)

Dr. Ron Hunninghake: What about the brain? Because that’s what really got my attention is that this stuff seems to cross the blood-brain barrier and get into the brain. And so if it acts a lot like vitamin C, there’s a lot of, matter of fact, I just finished a presentation on brain inflammation and wouldn’t this be a good thing to kind of help augment vitamin C in the brain?

Dr. Thomas Levy: …One of the early people who dealt with methylene blue, Paul Ehrlich referred to methylene blue as the magic bullet in this regard referring to the neurologic system because it’s so quickly targeted the neurologic system. Well, the thing that does that for the most part is the fact that methylene blue has both lipid soluble and water-soluble characteristics, unlike vitamin C, which is just water cycle. So it penetrates cell membranes very easily, and then once it passes the fatty cell membrane, it’s perfectly capable of disseminating well through the water-soluble intercellular environment. And as a pure observation, it’s been shown that when you take an intravenous dose of methylene blue, and for the most part I don’t think that’s necessary, but an intravenous dose of methylene blue within an hour, the concentrations are tenfold higher in the central nervous system than elsewhere.

Dr. Ron Hunninghake: How will methylene blue reduce inflammation in the brain? I mean, I know this gets into some redox chemistry, but what is it about methylene blue and vitamin C in terms of how they work together in the brain?

Dr. Thomas Levy: Well, that’s a good question and it’s something that needs to be emphasized, I think because we throw these, we, not we, the medical literature throws out the terms inflammation, oxidative stress, all this, and they’re generally valid observations. But it’s important to understand that if you have an area that is inflamed, you have an area that is vitamin C deficient, you have an area that is deficient of antioxidant status. And the other way of calling it focal scurvy, the point being is inflammation is nothing more than a focal depletion of item C and a focal depletion of vitamin C result in inflammation. They’re really basically synonyms.

So with that in mind, then it’s easy to see that even though vitamin C gets into the brain quite well, and in the healthy brain, you have probably 100 fold more concentration of vitamin C in the neurons than most of the other cells in the body. But let’s take the example of pathology though. We’re just talking about this. Let’s say somebody has not just depression, psychiatric problems, actual Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s diseases, and we might already be pushing hard on the vitamin C and not really getting the result that we want. It’s incredible, probably due to the characteristics of methylene blue we just discussed. It gets into the brain in higher concentration and starts delivering that antioxidant impact that’s needed in those vitamin C deficient inflamed areas.

Dr. Ron Hunninghake: And also in terms of the brain, and this kind of ties into methylene blue, there’s a lot of theory about Alzheimer’s being related to chronic low grade infection in the brain. And you’ve talked a lot about how the biofilm in the nose could be feeding bacteria into the brain, and certainly the methylene blue has shown to have antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral properties. And so if you’re getting more of that in your brain, you may be helping to reduce at least the viral or infectious etiologies of chronic brain disease, Alzheimer’s or whatever.

Dr. Thomas Levy: And that’s a great point. And in fact, I think it would show up in most diseases, but they haven’t tested most diseases this way. They have a whole host of studies that show actual Alzheimer’s tissues often has biofilms and pathogens in it, typically from the mouth, porphyromonas gingivalis. Okay. So yes, they’re there. And having something that can potentially wipe it out is going to be a tremendous adjunct to just its general antioxidant capacity.

Dr. Thomas Levy: “…we’ve kind of always just assumed, me included, of course, that the main role of vitamin C was to be given in a reduced electron rich form. And then by giving a large dose of vitamin C, you’re giving a large dose of electrons too. Well, yes you are, but that’s not the main impact. The main impact is you’re giving something that gives and takes, gives and takes, gives and takes, gives and takes, passes those electrons back and forth around the cells because we know, we have studies that show in clinical circumstances, situations a reduced form of vitamin C is just as effective, or I should say the oxidized form is just as effective as a reduced form.

Same thing for methylene blue. They’ve showed methylene blue just as effective in those septic shock patients in its oxidized form as its reduced form. So the thing is, is they’re not there. Vitamin C and methylene blue, their primary purpose is not to give you electrons anew, it’s to saturate the matrix of the cell with as much antioxidant capacity as well, so that the electron flow is optimized. And we’ve talked about electron flow, of course is current. And there’s measurable micro currents inside the cell, there’s measurable voltages across the cell membrane, and there’s worked out healthy micro currents and healthy voltages. And when you drop down below that, you get a sick cell, which is not surprising because it’s just reflecting, of course, a decreased antioxidant status. Just another measure of how effectively the new electrons you take in your diet are subsequently disseminated throughout the body.

METHYLENE BLUE is literally the strongest legal performance enhancer.

After 6 months of usage, the cognitive and energy benefits exceeded all my expectations.

How I'm using it (and its incredible benefits):

Methylene blue (MB), originally synthesised in 1876 as a textile dye—yes, a textile dye—is now one of the most potent supplements.

Before discussing its mechanism and benefits, listen to this excellent explanation of MB by Dr. Eric Berg:

Methylene blue acts as an electron shuttle in the mitochondria, bypassing blocks in the electron transport chain.

This helps maintain energy (ATP) production when the normal pathway is impaired.

I began taking methylene blue 6 months ago and have continued ever since.

Despite its awful flavour, the benefits are well worth it ↓

1) Brain Mitochondrial Enhancer

Our brain relies on oxidative metabolism for energy, making proper mitochondrial function crucial for brain health.

MB prevents premature brain cell death while supporting energy production and the growth of new neural connections.

2) Cognitive Enhancer

MB is known as a nootropic. It increases ATP production in the brain, providing the energy needed for enhanced brain performance.

It's one of the best options for improving attention span, memory, and overall cognition.

I definitely feel sharper on MB.

3) MB Against Infectious Diseases

MB has antimicrobial properties, making it effective against various pathogens (bacterial, viral, and fungal).

It also aids in C19 treatment by inhibiting SARS-CoV2 replication.

4) MB Delays Skin-Aging

MB has the ability to delay skin aging as well ↓

• Increases cell longevity
• Protects skin from UV exposure
• Accelerates the wound healing process

Additionally, MB's antimicrobial properties are beneficial for skin, too.

5) MB as Anti-Depressant

MB works as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), increasing serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine levels.

Plus, it reduces brain inflammation.

Clinical research shows 15mg/day significantly improved depression symptoms compared to placebo in a controlled trial.

Here’s how I prefer to take methylene blue:

• Start with 5 drops (2.5 mg) daily, steadily increase to 12 (6 mg) if you respond well

• Up to 15 drops (7.5 mg) if I have a key outcome that I’m taking it for (anti-infection, cognitive enhancement, etc.)

• I have experimented with 15 drops twice per day and seen diminishing returns. (No additional benefits seen)

The sweet spot for me is 12 drops per day.

Consumption:

Add MB to fresh orange juice to avoid blue tongue/mouth staining.

Other liquids that also work well: Kombucha, raw milk.

Be cautious not to spill—it stains.

Note: If it does get on your skin, it’s always worn off within a day for me.

I’ve been using it consistently, on and off, for 6 months.

I prefer to cycle MB.

When you come off most of the effects don’t stick around, for periods up to 30 days.

For higher dosages, I take for shorter periods (7-14 days)
Consistent dosage (5-12 drops) up to 30 days.

I usually take MB according to my work output:

High work output = I take more
Low work output = I take less (or not at all)

Is it safe? Like any drug, it is safe when used correctly.

However, here are important points to consider:

• Do not use with antidepressants (SSRIs) ↓
• If you've a G6PD deficiency, it can cause anemia
• Microdose (1-5mg) to avoid blood pressure and heart effectsMB5

Hi DNA. A German friend uses the MB listed below. He has had good results and has been doing it for several months now.
I got a bottle myself (on Amazon, for € 24.49 from BlueVitality) but I still have to start using it.

I follow my intuition on when to take. Warning: Don't take methylene blue if you're on an antidepressant, especially SSRIs and SNRIs, as high levels of serotonin can build up in the brain causing toxicity.

Methylene blue can bring oxygen to the brain's mitochondria and in many cases it's critically needed. However, actually mixing methylene blue and finding the right dose can get confusing. This video explains how to do it.

Dr. Francisco Gonzalez-Lima, a neuroscientist from the University of Texas in Austin, discovered that a very low amount of USP grade methylene blue in the body can promote brain oxygen consumption by an enzyme called cytochrome oxidase to power the mitochondria. In his analysis of many Alzheimer’s brains he found an inhibition of cytochrome oxidase in all of them. Methylene blue supplementation compensates for that problem.

I've tried MB, it definitely does have an effect on cognitive function. Mental clarity is boosted, and you are able to think quickly and clearly. As for other benefits, I have no reason to disbelieve the claims.

HOWEVER - I stopped taking it for a couple of reasons. One, it is a synthetic dye. Consuming it is very off-putting, it is literally like drinking a glass of blue ink. This was the first thing that I did not like. Second, it apparently dyes your internal organs, including the brain. I don't want to even think about that.

So, whilst the mental benefits are apparent, I just don't like drinking blue dye.

If it is the mental benefit OP wants, I can highly recommend electrolytes as an alternative.

The brain runs on electrolytes, so if you take an electrolyte supplement on an empty stomach, you will get the same increase in clarity and processing ability.

One benefit of having mitochondrial disease is that I know almost immediately whether or not a supplement affects the mitochondria, as mine are very sensitive.

I got nothing out of methylene blue.. nothing except a tongue so blue it looked like I'd been fellating Papa Smurf for 3 hours. It took me 20 mins to scrub it all off. Like you I was concerned with what this was doing to my innards. And peeing blue for 2 days was kind of unsettling.

Some people swear by it, and bless them. Experts endorse it. I had high hopes but I just didn't respond to it unfortunately.

This is what Dr. Breggin is warning about:

Podcast Interview and Column
Emergency notification: methylene blue is highly neurotoxic to your brain and mind
methylene blue is a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor (MAOI). As such, it is one of the most toxic agents ever used in medicine and psychiatry, and the mother of the most dangerous drugs used in psychiatry
Dr. Peter and Ginger Breggin

Toxic..
Yes...
That's the point, it's killing parasites in the body.
Like the ancient Greeks used snake venom. That's why there are two snakes intwined around the caduceus. Snake venom to kill parasites...
Sometimes the body needs a little poison to get things right.
For the record my wife had a lump in her breast and all the data pointed to it being malignant. We were not going to do a biopsy to find out for sure nor were we going to do chemo.
My wife did an aggressive MB protocol and ended it with a ten day fast. Her lump is gone.

Hi Mike - just thought you might want to research benfotiamine, if you haven't aready. Type "benfotiamine mitochondria biogenesis" for lots of interesting info.

Here is a link to Dr Peter Breggin's article that he just published today: https://gingerbreggin.substack.com/p/emergency-notification-methylene

I just started on MB yesterday for the first time. So I'll give a shot and see what happens. Ten drops yesterday and twenty drops today. No changes noticed so far except for blue urine and a blue-tinted water glass.

I am using a red light sauna along with it. I have the four-bulb sauna fixture: https://sauna.space/pages/sauna-components

If I don't experience any positive health changes I can always use it as a blue dye.

The warning Dr Breggin gives us is very important. The following is very clear. Anytime you hyperstimulate the systems of neurotransmitters, you are IN DANGER!!
Emergency notification for methylene blue! It’s highly neurotoxic to your brain and mind

We've been using MB as part of our morning routine for just shy of six months now. For the first 3 months we did ten drops twice daily, and then decided to cut back to once a day. Time to take a break from MB, but we will continue with most of the "frontline doctors" supplement protocol from the covid circus of 5 years ago, and our red light therapy. It will be interesting to see where this new revelation about MB leads us, how will the high profile proponents of MB respond, or will they even bother?

I've been following this thread, and all the pro-and-con points raised, with interest. (I've never tried MB, but I'm always alert to new ways of optimizing health and wellness.)

As a reminder (to myself also!), here's a copy of my post #16 (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?118568-Methylene-Blue&p=1639713&viewfull=1#post1639713) from 6 months ago. The PDF embed doesn't seem to be visible to me here right now, but the link does work.

I do tend to trust Dr Mercola's views on things. He notes some potential side-effects, but does not feel it's in any way 'dangerous'. (If he's updated his opinion since then, please let us know!)

~~~!
Another feature from Dr. Mercola about Methylene Blue. :thumbsup:
I didnt realise MB was a MAOI..
You have to be really careful what you eat when taking a MAOI as it allows toxins to get through from some foods, especially aged things like certain cheeses, over ripe bananas etc.
Hence the Ayahuasca diet, if you are ever working with that.
the vine component is a MAOI which lets the DMT from the leaf component through..
Cacao has MAOI components too...
I haven't experienced any benefit from Methylene Blue. No change whatsoever. I think I'll use what's left to dye some of my clothing. Seems pretty good for that. I take organic food-based supplements that create a positivel effect that I can actually feel and experience soon after taking them. I think it's over-hyped and tend to agree with Dr. Peter Breggin plus it is not natural.
I started taking Methylene Blue several months ago and instantly felt the effects of neuroplasticity, which was exciting. One of the symptoms I experience with my chronic illness is occasional interruptions to brain circuitry, much like a power outage or, if I’m lucky, a dimming of the lights—I can usually bluff my way through the dimming without looking like a stunned mullet.
But when the power goes out completely, I’m left in the dark waiting for it to kick back in. Happened the other day during a catch-up with friends. Mid-sentence, I froze. On the inside, I’m flapping around trying to reboot the circuit board. On the outside, mates are staring at me with an initial look of confusion that’s quickly replaced with relief that they’re not having whatever it is that I’m having.
We fumble our way to candles or a torch when the power goes out in our homes, but when I start scrambling for a torch inside my head, it makes me look spastic. My head swivels back and forth to everyone as my eyes plead for someone, anyone, to help me out. Geez, carry the baton on my sentence for a bit will ya, or toss out a trigger word to help reboot the crash. But I imagine at this point everyone is feeling as awkward and embarrassed as I am because they have no clue why my polished dialogue up and vanished only to be replaced with repeated utterances of “you know, you know, you know…”.
Gotta laugh, but it can be tricky in professional work situations, especially when I’m faced with a little public speaking which I now avoid like the plague. Fortunately, the short-circuiting doesn’t last more than a minute or so before the power magically reappears but then I’m faced with having to explain my way out of the fiasco.
Okay, so, Methylene Blue. I found that more is not better and it’s documented somewhere that this is the case, which makes finding the sweet spot dosage tricky. I found 5-6 drops per day way more effective than 15-16 drops. Then I swapped out daily for every 2-3 days.
Recently, I decided to stop it altogether, but I think that was a mistake. I experience episodes of the dimming effect when taking MB, but I can’t recall having had a significant glitch like the one I just described while I was on it. I’m reintroducing it now, but only on days that I venture out into the public square.
Oh, and I find it gives an additional hour or three energy kick when I take the dosage that works for me.
I get that, Casey.
I am all about things that are NATURAL.
When it comes to a bluegreen supplement, I much prefer Spirulina, a complete food and the basis of the planetary food chain.
On the other hand, MB is supposed to be a remedy for something totally UNNATURAL, that being the self-replicating nanotechnology so recently introduced into the human bloodstream.
Perhaps Nature hasn't had time yet to create an effective natural remedy for that.
In any case, the microscopy work that Dr. Mihalcea and other researchers have been doing seems to be showing MB is effective.
Though I imagine some brands of MB may be adulterated, while others are more pure and work a lot better, though it will take more time to find out about that too, no doubt.
(These new toxins seem to be sneaking into everything, however!)
Cilantro is effective for eliminating heavy metal, and perhaps other natural remedies like that deserve more study as related to the nanotech.
I haven't been following dr. Mihalcea's work as much of late, but her team have probably been looking into that as well.
I just can't get on board with this one. It just seems way off from right. I stay open to real research, discovery and data but can't see myself ever utilizing this.
