I recently came across the Yuka app. (Absolutley no affiliation). It's free.

It lets you scan the barcodes of food and other products and gives them a score.

The most useful part of it is that it shows up any dangerous additives (with links to studies) and believe me, there are plenty around.

I found that one of my favourite vegan pizzas had carcinogenic preservatives, and the 'natural' shower gel I was using contained endocrin disruptors. It has been a real eye opener.

Interesting. I'll test for a while and report back.
I scanned the bar code of one convienience food and it hadn't any info on that item. One then is prompted to supply various Fotos and data - so the item get's added (it got then listed with a score color red ) - it's kinda Wikipedia for food.
Scanned another item and that was listed with a green score color and various nutrition data.

Thank you for pointing out the danger that our food supply has been under assault by the likes of people such as Bill Gates. They dont have our best interest in mind. I recently purchased some flavored taco chips and read the small print I overlooked that said, this product is bio-engineered. It did not say what it was "engineered" though, and this was just one corn chip. It's the same thing happening with all food imo. Remember the saying 100% beef or the fillet of fish being real fish? They dont advertise that anymore? And burgers made of pink slime cant be good either.

Sounds really good, but I don't have a smart phone. I had a look on their website and it doesn't look like it has anything for non-app users. It's a good reminder though to look more closely at the ingredient info.

I also don’t have the app either, but for bathroom products like shampoos, conditioners, soaps, lotions, cosmetics you can go to the EWG database and look it up by company name or brand. It is still limited in that it doesn’t have all brands although they keep updating so it’s a good place to check if your products are in their database and if it is it will show what chemicals are harmful that are in the product you’re checking.

"Not available in your country". Pity, it sounds useful.
