If you read all Revelations (Torah/Gospel/Quran) it brings to one place only and that is Jerusalem. For muslims Mecca is the place of direction of prayer, but the most sacred place according to the verses, where Abraham was tested with the hardest test and then instructed to build the temple, it's in Jerusalem and precisely, at the Dome of the Rock.

I know it some from the New Testament. It is a place of Satan's descendants. Jesus is awesome. The place is famous because of Jesus.
I believe China will be famous because of Chinese chanyuan celestials in the coming future.

That place was famous, before Jesus was born. It was since the time of Abraham and then Jacob, Moses, David and Solomon. Jesus also went to the temple to worship God and is mentioned the part when he cleared the place from those who were trading inside the walls of the temple.

I have to bring also the proof of the verses, because many muslims still believe that it's not releated.
Quran:
[3 : 96] Indeed, the first House established for mankind was that at Bakka - blessed and a guidance for the worlds.
[3 : 97] In it are clear signs the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.

Also mentioned in Quran are the Psalms of David:

[4 : 163] Indeed, We have revealed to you, as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron and Solomon and to David We gave the book.

And the verse of the Psalm:
84:5 Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
84:6 As they pass through the Valley of Baka they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
84:7 They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion (holy mount).
