I am placing this in a new thread because the cricket flour is already being used in some processed food.

The temperature that is used to process bugs cannot be too high or it will carbonize the bugs so is NOT high enough to kill their parasites.
I saw this info and it suggested to me that bugs will be a significant ongoing vector for parasites and therefore a dangerous choice of food contamination. Why HAVE they demonized IVERMECTIN?

A parasitological evaluation of edible insects and their role in the transmission of parasitic diseases to humans and animals
Remigiusz Gałęcki, Rajmund Sokół,Pedro L. Oliveir
Published online 2019 Jul 8 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6613697/)
Abstract
From 1 January 2018 came into force Regulation (EU) 2015/2238 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015, introducing the concept of “novel foods”, including insects and their parts.
One of the most commonly used species of insects are: mealworms (Tenebrio molitor), house crickets (Acheta domesticus), cockroaches (Blattodea) and migratory locusts (Locusta migrans). In this context, the unfathomable issue is the role of edible insects in transmitting parasitic diseases that can cause significant losses in their breeding and may pose a threat to humans and animals.
The aim of this study was to identify and evaluate the developmental forms of parasites colonizing edible insects in household farms and pet stores in Central Europe and to determine the potential risk of parasitic infections for humans and animals. The experimental material comprised samples of live insects (imagines) from 300 household farms and pet stores, including 75 mealworm farms, 75 house cricket farms, 75 Madagascar hissing cockroach farms and 75 migrating locust farms.
Parasites were detected in 244 (81.33%) out of 300 (100%) examined insect farms. In 206 (68.67%) of the cases, the identified parasites were pathogenic for insects only; in 106 (35.33%) cases, parasites were potentially parasitic for animals; and in 91 (30.33%) cases, parasites were potentially pathogenic for humans.
Edible insects are an underestimated reservoir of human and animal parasites. Our research indicates the important role of these insects in the epidemiology of parasites pathogenic to vertebrates. Conducted parasitological examination suggests that edible insects may be the most important parasite vector for domestic insectivorous animals. According to our studies the future research should focus on the need for constant monitoring of studied insect farms for pathogens, thus increasing food and feed safety.

I absolutely have no trust in " studies". Almost all of them are intended to demonized whats good for the masses and promote the bad ones.

Those "healthy" bugs are not genetic modified ... and people can be allergic to bugs due to eating other GMO food ... anyone can have issues eating GMOs <<< what most people just do not investigate and MSM is part of that wilful ignorance problem.
All GMO issues show up after long use ... so it is not a "instant" issue. Cumulative harmful unhealthy effects are only known after the fact <<< long term effects!
There are multiple official mainstream sources discussing "GMO Mosquitos" that produces "vaccines" ... we know they hijacked/altered that name 3 times!
GMO for me, is already a living nightmare (especially long term) for so many reasons and it only get worse when they use A.I. Monsanto, the biggest promoter of genetically modified food, was hoist with its own petar when it was disclosed that it has a staff canteen in which GM produce is banned.
The firm running the canteen at Monsanto's pharmaceuticals factory at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, serves only GM-free meals, Friends of the Earth said. In a notice in the canteen, Sutcliffe Catering, owned by the Granada Group, said it had taken the decision "to remove, as far as practicable, GM soya and maize from all food products served in our restaurant. We have taken the above steps to ensure that you, the customer, can feel confident in the food we serve."

Swedish Scientist suggests eating human flesh to fight climate change - Not happy enough with mad cow disease. they want mad human disease.
https://nypost.com/2019/09/09/scientist-suggests-eating-human-flesh-to-fight-climate-change/?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_medium=SocialFlow&utm_source=NYPTwitter
A Swedish scientist speaking at Stockholm summit last week offered an unusual possible tactic in combating global climate change: eating human flesh.
Stockholm School of Economics professor and researcher Magnus Soderlund reportedly said he believes eating human meat, derived from dead bodies, might be able to help save the human race if only a world society were to “awaken the idea.”
Soderlund’s argument for human cannibalism was front and center during a panel talk called “Can You Imagine Eating Human Flesh?” at the Gastro Summit, reports the Epoch Times. “Conservative” taboos against cannibalism, he said, can change over time if people simply tried eating human flesh.
Some of the talking points at the seminar included whether humans were too selfish to “live sustainably” and if cannibalism is the solution to food sustainability in the future.
When asked during an interview after his talk if he personally would try human flesh, Soderlund said he was open to the idea.

Thankfully now that we are out of the EU, Britain's Food Standards Agency has prevented the sale of goods containing insects, pending research and review. There are plenty of fledgling bug merchant businesses here who are not happy about that.
There was a public consultation but that closed on 10 August... dang... I might email them with my objections anyway.

When they say "natural ingredients" as many products do, that can cover a wide range of things , can't it. The additive MSG fits under that category so crickets,,, they are natural.
