I'm not a believer of the UFO/UAP phenomenon having to do with consciousness alone or physical objects alone.

They are probably both vital components of this enigma.

The seems more plausible then one or the other.

Could be applied to anything termed extra (sensory)/ out of the normal as well.

Isn't that been floated about things like the Yeti/ Sasquatch as well?
