So, 2 planes carrying approximately 50 illegal immigrants, were flown to Martha's Vineyard , and many buses have shuttled others to DC... Putting the illegal immigration issues directly into the hands of those who have thrust it upon the nation... Literally depositing them into their neighborhood...

Perhaps those in the positions of power, will realize that even 50 individuals can have an effect on the local economy and lifestyle. Especially that of the affluent...

And this is a tiny representation of the situation, when over 55,000 are getting through, illegally MONTHLY... What people do not understand is this is not just Mexicans wishing to enter America, but people from all nations using the Mexican border to do so...

Since they are the ones inviting them, and offering them sanctuary ... it seems only reasonable, that they host them... Their answer? Call out the National Guard, to find ways to "Handle the situation"...

What "Situation"? This was what they wanted, and they certainly have the funds to provide for these individuals in a very nice manner...

Let me just state right up front that I am for robust legal immigration on a scale that ensures full employment. Immigration policy must vett people and remove those that have committed any criminal offences, those that will not contribute to society and those that are on the terror watchlist. Right now the welcome mat is out and it does not matter who enters.

Biden has reversed all of former President Trump’s effective immigration policies and Americans are now faced with an inhumane crush of humanity coming into the USA. Immigrants have always been an engine of economic prosperity for the American economy and you could make a case that immigrants are needed because of the labour shortage. But there are so many other things going on with the immigration policy that it is difficult to get your hands around all of it.

Biden tells Americans that the Border is secure and that everything is being done to curb illegal immigrants and he even tells immigrants (with a wink and a nod not to come) Here is what he has done since taking office, you be the judge if Biden is encouraging immigrants or not.

Biden’s steps to undo Trump-era policies have included reducing immigration enforcement inside the United States, ending the travel bans, lifting the suspension of green card processing, and halting construction of the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. His administration has also expanded TPS protections, canceled safe third country agreements, and raised the refugee cap for fiscal year 2022 to 125,000 after initially maintaining the limit imposed under Trump. It has additionally launched efforts to accelerate the reunification of migrant families, including by reinstating the Central American Minors (CAM) program, which reunites children in the Northern Triangle with their parents in the United States.
First and foremost the Democrats have embraced illegal immigration because it is the quickest way to flood future Democrat voters into the USA, this is a miscalculation on a colossal scale. Most Latinos are small business people and they are fairly religious which means they will eventually vote Republican. If the USA is going to be salvaged from socialism, elitism and progressive extremism the Latino voters will play a major roll. This was clearly evidenced when Mayra Flores (a Republican) won a special election in Texas (https://www.politico.com/news/2022/06/14/republican-mayra-flores-flips-dem-house-seat-in-south-texas-00039717) which was held by Democrats for more than 100 years.

Next, the Democrats have repeatedly said that if they could turn the two border states of Texas and Arizona Blue (Democrat) they would never lose another election. That is precisely why they turn a blind eye to the flood of immigrants because the majority of them come into Texas and Arizona, (California has a wall).

We now see that Sanctuary cities across the USA were virtue signalling with no real intent on helping, housing or even dealing with the immigrants. This is clearly evidenced by Chicago calling the national guard when the Texas governor sent 4 busloads to that city. We see Eric Adams the Mayor of NYC and Muriel Bower mayor of Was DC scream foul and ask the federal government for help when immigrants were sent to their cities. And when DeSantis sent two planeloads of immigrants to Martha's Vineyard you would have thought that he sent a planeload of lepers.

The hard-core progressives want the white majority to become the minority. They openly state this all the time and claim that this is the cause for racism by white Americans, particularly white males.

Immigration has been used for centuries to control people and take control of large swaths of geography. This is precisely what is going on in the USA, it wreaks of Globalism. It is an absolute effort to undermine the stability of the USA. It is costing tax payers billions (https://thefederalist.com/2022/08/25/dems-ask-taxpayers-to-fund-more-living-expenses-for-lawbreaking-migrants/), it is filling the jails, it is causing gang problems (https://thefederalist.com/2022/07/06/ms-13-member-guilty-pleas-illuminate-bidens-unchecked-southern-border/) on an immense scale

Immigration is already a hot topic but it will gather more steam as we move closer to the 2020 mid-term elections. There is an intentional invasion at the southern border and if it is not put under control you will not be able to recognize the USA in a few years.

rgray, just a correction on the shortage of workers here in the USA, there is no shortage, as lame , lying stream media suggest.

It is merely that the people , or all companys, that are desperate for workers, want to own you now days. In a way that china operates its workers.

Many, not all workers, are refusing to work in this manner of this dictator like atmosphere.

I have to say here, that beyond this point, this is just my opinion, and I do not wish to start a war... as I both agree and disagree with you... We need change, but the way people are going about it now, will destroy a nation from within...

I Actually agree with Rgray222 in that there IS a shortage of workers in America.. And while I wrote out 2 pages worth of rebuttals, I realized you said it all...

"They're refusing to work... "

Enter whatever reason you wish here.... But the end result is they're refusing to work... Causing a shortage..

Lame stream media or not, it is happening..

Perhaps it is as a result of the immigrants willing to work for any wage that will put food on their table, while those used to new toys every month have to wait 2 months before upgrading? Whatever the reason, they're "refusing"..

It's my opinion that people need to work, regardless of their "feelings", and fight for their rights to earn more, rather than complain while unemployed, as their peers are paying their bills, because the system "Isn't fair""..

The system then becomes extremely unfair to those footing the bill for those "refusing to work".. As well as a country desperately struggling to keep businesses afloat... Enter Amazon to fill the void.... And it starts a downward spiral...

The "Lame stream media" is right in that there is a shortage... as a result of them "Refusing to work"... Period....

If a business cannot find help, because people just refuse to work, then by definition, there is a shortage...

And if these kids cared about their future, they would work and fight for equal pay, or "just" pay, rather than sitting by, and just refusing to contribute, because they believe they're worth more, while their country falls apart... Why are they worth more, if they're not even willing to show up and make a claim to it?

Again these are just my opinions... supporting Rgray222's post. And not dismissing bobm, But merely offering a different point of view...

Yesterday a Hospital called in New York - ER, they had a Venezuelan lady there who needed help but spoke no English. Turns out she was on the beach in Florida - after arriving, a group of socialists/leftists/commies/Bidenites who mean well took the group to the beach! Along with giving them food, money and advice on how to survive on the streets. And she stepped on a jelly fish. So the NY hosp was treating her - she had just arrived there by bus.

In Martha's Vineyard I wonder if there are any of those lawn signs that say: "No importa de donde eres, estamos contentos que seas nuestro vecino.": Probably not, because they used their political juice to move the Venezuelans to less wealthy Cape Cod.

Obama had the juice to move the Venezuelans to Cape Cod. But I worry that deSantis, by targeting Martha's Vineyard and therefore Obama, is in the cross hairs of the most vindictive presidential sociopath since LBJ. DeSantis is a political superstar and not likely to cave in to pressure like Trump. He might have a bullseye on his back now.

Do I feel empathy and sympathy for the individuals being shunted around the country? Yes I do, I am an immigrant myself having arrived in Australia way back in 1970 from the U.K using all of the official channels-I recall attending migrant interviews with young bureaucrats with Australian accents and undergoing medical examinations, taking a small pox shot-but this move by DeSantis is precisely what is needed to stick it to the hypocrites and wordsmiths, let's see how they treat these poor folk and consider the probity of their values!

I DID appreciate that!

Ok, I am going to rant here... Look away if you must...

There are so many misinformed people that just shred their neighbors, fellow community members, and just really destroy and divide others, that it isn't even funny. I have deliberately avoided the CoVid and Trump threads as a result.. (Q as well)..

We have "back seat drivers" who will make statements, that on their face are ridiculous! For example.... Someone from another country will make comments about how wrong Americans are, how out of touch with their own situations they are, and claim it is a result of them believing "the Media" that they also claim is "all fake.,." Then, in the next sentence, they will make an outrageous claim about one American political party, or the result of their choices... and battle it to death, based upon the information they got... from you guessed it, the media... And never once having stepped onto American soil... Yet they know better than those living here?

To them, those that are dealing with the overwhelming influx of "illegal immigration" ? Well, we are considered intolerant, racist, wealthy fat cats who have no compassion , or worse, stupid... do they realize we are not talking about LEGAL immigration? That is just a technicality to them... Legal immigration is designed to allow a flow of people that a community can handle, bur this is not what is happening...

I recently wrote a thread about this, (on another site)... in which I suggested that in my town of only 2500, and a lack of homes due to the fires, and jobs, as CoVid closed many businesses? They are busing people up, AND busing up prisoners to the jail for revenue. The city gets money to help these people, and suddenly our city leaders have taken a sharp turn towards.... insanity as the "New crowd" piles into town... They see it sa fast cash, I see it as the match that will ignite the town and destroy it...

On top of that, they passed two low income housing complexes under the guise that they would help the local community that was displaced from fires or unemployment, but once the ground was broken, they have turned them into Section 8 homeless housing only, and jail release housing! Literally, if you have a job, but your house burned, you need not apply.

And it was deliberate! The buses started AFTER the ground was broken, and the jail buses began bringing in prisoners for profit at the same time... From the lies to what the housing complexes were, to filling them with people not from our area, and some not even from this country legally, they had it all planned... We have these two complexes, one 1/4 mile from a grade school, ON THE SAME STREET AS 4 schools, teaching kids from grades K-8th grade! the other, housing the released inmates is less than one mile away... They added housing for 200 more people, in a community of 2500, and NONE of them are from this community!

They nearly added 10% more homeless and inmates to our area, deliberately... We are such a small area, we don't even have a stop light, and we have only one grocery store. IT'S NOT INTOLERANCE, IT IS NEFARIOUS AT BEST... They're hiding them in small communities like mine... At first people were giving them giftcards, offering free breakfasts... (One's I can't even afford to indulge in) and it got to the point where there were more people wanting "free stuff", than they had paying customers on most days! It looked like a soup kitchen!

Remember, these businesses are ran by mom and pops... Not corporations.. One business closed their doors as they began to be abused by both the transplants, and some bleeding hearts when they stopped giving away their own paychecks to these people, who literally started to yell at them publicly when they no longer could afford to feed them all!

I used to see lines outside this business, of customers who would eat there, but that line dropped when the illegals began to put their hands out. Now, no one in my town will help them, and they're mad as hell they're being thrust upon them. As they should be..

But those in other countries would say I am an extremist, while I watch my neighborhood fall apart. Literally they are busing them into the rural areas in California like mine, and dropping them off with free phones, bank cards, and living quarters, and the local cities are only seeing that first offer of revenue to the city, and as they oat themselves on he bak? The city is turning to well... Poop is a nice way to word it I suppose...

The legal immigrants want to work, they want to raise their families here. They open businesses, and they work hard, and those illegally immigrating are just being given every tax dollar the community earns, leaving no resources for our own that may find themselves in need. The balance has tipped to the point where the police now have a "hands off" policy on anyone who doesn't pay their fines for their crimes, as it wastes their time... Just as in San Francisco people are brazenly robbing stores until the shelves are empty, because they will not prosecute an theft under $950, as THEY ALSO, think it is a waste of their time, as the illegals just move onto the next city... . So MOBS of people are rushing stores now, and many are closing..

The spin on this? First they never show those things... Secondly they WILL show the homeless problem, but they will paint an entirely different picture of what they're seeing...

For the people believing we do not like immigrants... This is NOT TRUE... What we are seeing is ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and it is deliberate... The governments are deliberately facilitating this... And those coming into America through the Mexican borders, aren't necessarily Mexicans at all! We have Cubans and many others going to Mexico because they KNOW they can pass illegally into California right now... And this goes for ALL southern states... And get treated, in most cases, better than Americans are...

Please, if you do not live in America, remember the media LIES for it's own purposes... What you are seeing is often times jaded. You could tell me the same thing, but I live here, and have my entire life... I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area... I am not just some trouble maker wanting to pick a fight...

It will take THOUSANDS OF BUSES, moving the illegals to those communities that house those that are destroying the country from within, before they are really affected, and realize that perhaps this wasn't such a good idea!

By then sadly, we may not still have a country we recognize. People wonder why many voted for an orange faced, potty mouth for President? If he did nothing else, he tried to right the Corporation that we call America... And he woke some people up and got them pissed off enough, to begin to do something about it...

And when they're feelings get hurt, they won't be waving flags and shouting about intolerance, they will be waving American flags, their guns, and Constitutions, and looking for others to help them get their country back to what it once was...

Americans aren't just stupid gun owners trying to kill kids everywhere they walk, and we have the RIGHT to own our arms, for good reason... So when stuff like THIS begins to happen, we can stand up and right the nation, when the politicians try to give away the country for votes!

This is a planned "Destroy from within" thing that we are seeing right now.. You couldn't convince me otherwise... Hell, Americans have a more difficult time immigrating to Mexico than vice versa, and people believe WE are intolerant? Pretty soon, Mexico will be called "America", and America will be called "Mexico" at this rate, people can't get out of the southern states fast enough!

And Mike, you immigrated the proper way... Which we are not opposed to.. Very few of us are the original inhabitants of this land... Our families all immigrated at one point or another... Those of us truly being hit the hardest with the huge surge of illegal immigration are having a tough time with it, we aren't as affluent as Martha's Vineyard... Or most of the communities these wealthy politicians live in...

It is really easy to be "Tolerant" and claim that you care about everything when it doesn't affect you in any way, as those making policy are doing... Our infrastructures are failing as a result of this stuff... Most of it affects really five or six states the most...

California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Florida, and some surrounding states that also get those people migrating into them...

To say those in the states I just mentioned, thought it was the best move ever? Would be an understatement...

I am absolutely CERTAIN that this mass invasion is for most nefarious purposes. This is not about being humanitarian. I read that there are so many young men who COULD be used to fight us (and some claim many are UN soldiers). I read that a huge number of minors are missing.

As many have said... we are in a war.

No town should be forced to house the people being brought in. However, the hypocritical virtue signaling of a place like Martha's Vineyard needs to be celebrated in song.

A Karen Shows Her Classism

Alexandra Bruce
On Wednesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recognized Massachusetts’ status as a Sanctuary State when he gave 50 illegal immigrants a free ride via private plane to Martha’s Vineyard, in what was likely the most pleasant leg of their arduous journey from Venezuela.

Despite all the woke virtue-signalling to the contrary, the racist white Limousine Liberals on Martha’s Vineyard were not happy about their new poor, brown neighbors, exclaiming that DeSantis had caused a “humanitarian crisis” in the billionaire enclave.

The winter population of Martha’s Vineyard is close to 17,000. Every summer, the island happily hosts tens of thousands of well-heeled tourists, with the population swelling to as many as 200,000 – but we’re expected to believe that 50 extra people during the off-season is a “humanitarian crisis”?

I think Styxhexenhammer666 nails it, here when he says:

“Martha’s Vineyard voted 85% for Joe Biden. You voted for someone who explicitly stated, ‘Come, all ye unfaithful, we want the huddled masses, the border wall is racist, we want everyone in the country.

“And now you’re concerned about them being in your community. You don’t get concerned if there are a million people like that in Texas or half a million in Arizona. You don’t care if hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans and Cubans languish in Florida. You want those people to take care of them – meaning, the taxpayer money from those citizens in those states…

“What they’re worried about is that they’re going to build a refugee center and other amenities somewhere in Martha’s Vineyard and it will lower the price of their retail. It’ll lower the price of their property…

“I think they should be made to have them on tents in their front lawn. You should have to see the misery that open borders causes every single day. Maybe you’ll vote differently. “

What these Champagne Socialists in Martha’s Vineyard fail to grasp is that the open border policies they unthinkingly espouse – and that 85% of them voted for in 2020 – are part of a Globalist strategy to collapse the US and all sovereign governments worldwide, so the UN can then impose their own made-up regional governments, as Lara Logan explained so well to Steve Bannon on Thursday and about which the late, great Rosa Koire was an expert.

Sadly people will not read the details of my post, and just believe I am against immigration... But you spelled it out better than I could Norman. The populations in my area, as well as many others, including large cities cannot support the amount of people being brought into them. It's not hate or intolerance, it is just a statistical impossibility.

If anything this makes things worse for those illegally immigrating... To come here to just get shuffled around? Living in tent cities? How is that an better?

I am no Trump "Fan" but his policies sure did help the situation... This is why I avoided those threads as people want to divide us into pro or against fans... It isn't about party lines, it is about people...

I was born in Fremont, and even then in 1969, I was a minority as a blonde haired, blue eyed child... I am not against adversity, in fact I welcome it... But what is happening now is an invasion... A deliberate one.

WELL SAID. And for those who still might be inclined to shed tears I have to offer a personal story.

We get, on average, dozens and sometimes hundreds of immigrants who pass through Costa Rica on their way to Mexico and then on to the States. All of them are given aid. All the children are looked after. We provide free transportation from the Southern border to our Northern border for those who wish it.
AND. We offer every single one of them sanctuary, political assylum where applicable, and jobs.

None take us up on it.

So it turns out they are not looking for a place to get away from their nasty and dangerous homelands.
They are not looking for a good job.
They are not looking for a new country.
They are not looking to become one with a community that speaks their language, understands their culture, and would welcome them.

They are looking for HIGH Paying jobs, free rent, welfare, free hospitalization, NO Taxes to pay, and all of that for simply allowing their illiterate names to be inscribed near their X on a Democrat ballot.

We do not, I am sad to say, offer to take them to one of our many fine beaches while they are in medical quarantine awaiting transport. And no, we have no cages here. No Military either.

So when the violins come out, and people start crying over their situation, remember that to get there they had to turn down not only CR but nearly all of the countries that they pass through!

Even Mexico offers to let them stay if they wish.

And also remember, that to do this legally, and I have direct knowledge of this because I got it started for my wife and then backed out - it costs about 4500 dollars US, takes nearly a year, and requires a complete medical and mental examination, including X-rays, blood work, DNA, and complete fitness - and this was prior to Covid.

In fact they required no pre-existing conditions, and my wife had and has knees joints that need replacement operations. She will have them done here soon, so no worries, but the US rejected the application for that reason. Imagine if they required the same for illegals as they do for those trying to come in legally? America opens its arms to immigrants - unless they are handicapped. I was advised to take her to the border - its cheaper and easier to pay a Coyote - but I no longer have any desire to return.

I bought a piece of land in Texas a few years back. To connect the water was nearly $800 - it's just due to the government taking water from the lake nearby and sending it down the mountains to the golf courses in San Antonio.

And they asked me - first, do you have an illegal in your household by any chance? I said I would not. They told me that if I had they would not be allowed to charge me for the connection - due to a State rule. And that if I did I would be eligible for $750 in free rent subsidies, free medical for the illegal, plus food stamps and food grants and giveaways. Of course for me, I would need to pay full freight.

That's when I sold the land and moved back here and gave up on returning. It seems to have gotten crazy there.

God bless and help those who remain.

I had some inkling of the existence of a world government already in 2004 when I applied for a driver's license in New South Wales, Australia and was asked to see my California license. I was still expecting to have to take a road test considering Americans drive on the wrong side of the road, but nope, just an eye test and that was it. I got my license the same afternoon. I started thinking is Australia the 51st state of the United States? But then the ease of my becoming a dual citizen, soon thereafter, continued to make me wonder whether country borders matter any more. And the prime ministers' speeches supporting going into the second Iraq war was word-for word identical in both Australia and Canada. that was a clear sign of world government around 2001. So it is very possible that we are living inside a world government already, and they just haven't told us, that's all. Covid lock-step being further proof, and all the financial support for illegal immigrants has been with us for a long time in most Western countries.

So it is very possible that we are living inside a world government already, and they just haven't told us, that's all. Covid lock-step being further proof, and all the financial support for illegal immigrants has been with us for a long time in most Western countries.is

US corporations are taking orders from the same place the politicians are. Ford Motor is forcing its dealers to sell electric vehicles or close down. They are not going electric to make more money, they are clearly being coerced. Whoever is calling the shots in this world is fearsome indeed. I wonder if it's alien, even.

Well, what a rapid response to illegal immigration... and such a great show of hypocrisy, they lasted around 30 hours (also, those poor confused people... )?

Also, the pathetic excuses that justified the rapid rejection of these people is just "doubling down" IMO... they called in the national guard?!

Ok, for those that do not live in America, please, when this information hits your country, tell us what the media tells you about this.... Surely it will be that Republicans, or Trump supporters are now shuttling migrants to the doorsteps of Democrats, and engaging in horribly illegal activities... IGNORING the crisis that the rest of the country have been experiencing for far too long...

They're already filing lawsuits for the mere 50 people that arrived in Martha's Vineyard... Gavin Newsome, part of the problem in California, is suggesting they file KIDNAPPING CHARGES... You can't make this stuff up... They aren't trying to secure social services for these individuals, nope, they're offering to help them sue those that wronged them in some way...

They aren't even American citizens yet, but they are telling them they have American rights in our legal system?

I am sorry, but if I just walked or traveled through an entire continent to get to America, you bet your butt, I am not going to climb onto a plane, not knowing where it was going... Surely they were told they would be sent to the most affluent part of the nation where they would be taken care of in a most proper manner... With all of what the money in that community could buy....

But instead, they got the national Guard... How disgusting.

it's insanity...

Thank you Jim... It matters that people who are living this ridiculousness actually speak up, so those who are just hearing what the media spins, get a more accurate image of whats truly going on... It's just shameful...

Sadly the handouts are very enticing... But the downside is people become lazy, dependent, and society collapses as a result. That isn't what America was founded upon.

Like you, Karen (Geophyz) (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/member.php?46234-Karen--Geophyz-) has first hand experience. These are the first few posts from her thread from March 23, 2021 called, "The migration crisis on the US-Mexico border." What happening here...now...is frightening.

"Just caught one of them trying to steal my jeep. I have signs up....in several languages. If they need food or water I will share but I will not tolerate stealing."

"It makes me sad and angry! I worked my butt off for my land and home and now I have people coming to try and take it!"

What happening here...now...is frightening. Since Mr. Biden opened the US southern borders I have been experiencing a flood of people crossing the border and making their way toward San Antonio. Last night I had families. Today it is men, and they do not all appear to be Spanish. Just caught one of them trying to steal my jeep. I have signs up....in several languages. If they need food or water I will share but I will not tolerate stealing.

I have begun to believe people are evil more than they are good. I am literally now a prisoner in my own home. Because I live in the middle of nowhere I have to be very careful going outside. It makes me angry.

I have reinforcements coming this afternoon. I cannot stay up watching all night and now all day as well.

I have lived in many countries, never have I lived in one where you could simply walk across the border into another country without papers and simply go your way. The United States is no longer a country if it has open borders. It makes me sad and angry! I worked my butt off for my land and home and now I have people coming to try and take it!

What is happening here and now is not good.

All my neighbors are having the same issue. We have started calling each other when a group of them hits our fence line. Some of my neighbors have now taken the stance of "shoot first ask questions later". Some of the people we are seeing are really not good people.

I just had a family pass through. They were nice, polite and probably as tired as me. I fed them, gave them supplies.

My fear is this is NOT going to stop.

Well I got some sleep for a change last night. My humming birds are back. They migrate from Mexico too.

People in the US need to know that what you see on television and reality are not the same. Yes, there are some families and children involved but the vast majority of these people are thugs. Not only that, thugs with diseases! Tuberculosis, Cholera, Plague, Smallpox just to name a few.

I know some of these people want to better themselves. Okay great, use the system and come here legally, I am all for it. But I have issues with families who want to drag their children here for the free stuff and they way they are doing it. That too can be approached legally and yes it takes some time, as it does for ANYONE trying to get US citizenship and it should! We cannot just open our borders.

Another thing. Many of the ranchers out here will shoot to kill anyone trespassing on their land. The land it posted and it is within their right to do so. Why would you risk dragging your children across someone's pasture and risk being shot? I asked that of the family that stopped here for food the other night. They did not have a good answer. They came for the free stuff and hopes of an education for their children. None of them spoke a word of English.

So that is where we are today, with no change in sight until something really bad happens. Biden doesn't seem to care. Governor Abbott is, in my opinion, useless. He would not help us during the freeze and as then, all we hear from his office is crickets. It bothers me that nothing will be done until something serious happens and I think it will. As I have said before, the people I am seeing are NOT ALL FROM SOUTH AMERICA!

I can hear the infrastructure of this once great nation crumbling.

I am so sorry Karen, we have family in Texas, and it isn't any better there than it is here...

It IS frightening... I had hoped my thoughts wouldn't just fall into an echo chamber... Because if this continues unabated, it will become rampant in those areas that are currently unaffected by it. Ignoring it as political grandstanding is not the thing to do with this particular issue...

Our family shop has had a smash and grab... Yes, in this tiny little town... The family owns a jewelry store. My husband is now coming to work packing heat... And the prior police chief is suggesting we ALL get a CC.. (Concealed Carry Permit)...

A caution to others.... For those who think we are whiners overblowing an issue? Take this into consideration... I live one hour from Reno, Nevada... Just below Lake Tahoe.... Literally, I can drive to Reno in an hour....

And if you want to see what little town I am discussing, that is being affected in this way? Here you go...

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7d/Nevada_City_Downtown_Historic_District-149.jpg/1920px-Nevada_City_Downtown_Historic_District-149.jpg

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nevada_City_Downtown_Historic_District

The entirety of the actual "city limits" of my town, encompasses this street and the smaller one that parallels it... With highway 49/20 at the end of this street.... which is what most use to get here... If you blink you miss this town... THIS IS THE CITY that now has 2 housing complexes built for homeless and convicts...

Our area is so rural, that you literally have to drive over half an hour out of your way to even find this little town... No joke.... These people aren't just stumbling into the next town on any given path, they're being brought and dumped here... If you pull up a map and see just how far "Out of the way we are", you will see what I am suggesting...

I don't know what else I can say.... It's a disaster waiting to happen... And it is unfolding as we speak...
