At approximately 11.00 am on Wednesday, 6 April 1966, a class of students and a teacher from Westall High School (now Westall Secondary College) were just completing sports on the main oval when an object, described as being a grey saucer shaped craft, with a slight purple hue and being about twice the size of a family car, was sighted. Witness descriptions were mixed: Andrew Greenwood, a science teacher, told "The Dandenong Journal" at the time that he saw a silvery-green disc. According to witnesses the object was descending and then crossed and overflew the high school's south-west corner, going in a south-easterly direction, before disappearing from sight as it descended behind a stand of trees and into a paddock at The Grange in front of the Westall State School (primary students). After a short period (approximately 20 minutes) the object - with witnesses now numbering over 200 - then climbed at speed and departed towards the north-west. As the object gained altitude some accounts describe it as having been pursued from the scene by five unidentified aircraft which circled the object

The huge elephant in the room what mainstreams often neglect is the fact that if the military/secret service/ government officials are involved and your being threatened, if your camera/film is being taken from you, if your being told you can't talk to the media. If children are being co-erst to deny they saw what they saw. How do you explain a child (Tanya) never returning to school over a balloon and why did they not go into searching to find out what happened to her (did I miss something)? Because maybe its NOT a freaking balloon :facepalm: Damn...

Another student who was taken away from the scene in hysterics was never seen again.

And after decades of denial, last year one of the few surviving policemen who responded on that day admitted he had been at the scene but still refused to talk about what he saw.

He then recorded himself describing their meeting and the creepy details Mr. Greenwood gave about his experience. “Greenwood told me the UFO was first brought to his attention by a hysterical child who ran into his classroom and told him there’s a flying saucer outside,” Dr. McDonald said.

“He thought this child had become deranged or something so he didn’t take any notice, but when the child insisted that this object was in the sky he decided to go out and have a look for himself.”
When he went outside, he noticed a group of children looking toward the northeast area of the school grounds and as he approached them he claims he saw a UFO hovering close to the powerline.

Mr. Greenwood described it as a round, silver object about the size of a car with a metal rod sticking up in the air.

According to Dr. McDonald, the teacher then told him five planes came and surrounded the object as more people began gathering to watch the scene before them.

“He called it the most amazing flying he had ever seen in his life,” Dr. McDonald said.

In 1966 upto 3 UFOs were seen by atleast 200 persons, mainly the students with a small number of school staff , this sighting lasted for a minute or two.
In short, one craft landed behind trees/bush.

Many kids jumped the school fence to be able to witness the UFO landed.

Very soon after, police turned up and also the Army and/or Air force.

Teachers and students were warned to not speak about it by the headmaster and by men in suits that appeared very soon after the sighting.

One girl who had become hysterical at seeing this craft was Never Seen Again.

This case has never been forgotten and after 50yrs later this sighting still captures the attention of persons and the actuall kids who are now adults, this is one of those sightings that wont go away.

Just for comparison, another mass sighting happened at another school in 1994, this time it was in Ariel Zimbabwe South Africa, around 60-70 persons were witnesses to this other school sighting.
