I searched the forum but this case was never posted here, basically in the early 90's in central Italy inhabitants of a small village experienced the visit of an unknown creature.
Filiberto Caponi is the main witness of this creature and the one who took pictures of it, he went into troubles with the law at that time because of this episode, he never wanted to divulge the encounters or the pictures with the creature and he was exposed by a friend who called the press.
Most of the materials about the case is in Italian language, I listened a lot to him and also once to the testimony of his granma (very moving the way she described the creature as an old religius lady would, saying: it looked like the Devil!), I firmly believe he actually met this being and the polaroid pictures are real, after all we're talking about years when advanced photo editing didn't exsist and pc were very rare especially so in an IT backward country like Italy. The case influenced and changed his life and mind totally.
As he very intelligently says: when you see this creature in the pictures it is normal that most people at first think it is a fake but it is a normal and the same reaction for anything your brain doesn't recognize. Extremely true.
A picture taken from the set he took of the creature:

In that so-called pic of the alien, the shadows just dont look right, the shadow of its head suggests that the light source is behind and to the right of the creature, i dont see a shadow of its right shoulder, its right knee or its right hand.
I wonder if this "picture" helped his book sales, ...................................RRR

Timothy Goode wrote about this case in one of his books, not sure which one because I can't find the book.
This a compilation of interviews with Filiberto Caponi You can use the auto translate subtitles for a rough English translation.

I love these stories, I am finding the eyes unconvincing....still not saying it didn't happen but it is a creepy little bugger.

It was Unearthly Disclosure (https://www.amazon.com/Unearthly-Disclosure/dp/B089WLPH7B/ref=sr_1_9?crid=1EYNBA9LC0R2S&keywords=timothy+good&qid=1675000562&s=books&sprefix=timothy+good%2Cstripbooks-intl-ship%2C161&sr=1-9), I have it on my shelf. An excellent book - as they all are by Good, one of the few researchers I really do trust and admire. In this book he includes a lengthy chapter on this fascinating case. He provides multiple colour pictures of the entity from different angles. There is no doubt they are genuine. This is NOT a hoax, there's absolutely no doubt. This visitor was a living, breathing, real creature - of absolutely unknown nature and origin. The jury was in on this a long, long time ago. The investigation and analysis was as in depth as it possibly could be. One of the forgotten cases, but this really was a true unknown.

Perhaps an escaped genetic creation from a lab

@RatRodRob...RRR pictures were taken outside his home, it was dark, evening, I guess it was the polaroid flash.

Perhaps an escaped genetic creation from a lab
sure a possibility though objects were seen over the area several times, jets were scrambled (can't be sure on this though just read about it once)

I wouldn't like to say whether it's real or not, and photo editing may not have existed, but model-making certainly did... :sherlock:

A picture or two doesn't tell the story, not even a little bit. Only the story tells the story. The investigation into this case was diligently conducted and extensive. No model making was involved. The book (by Tim Good) tells all, and it's well worth the read.

That's right, one has to listen to the many interviews and recountings of Caponi which unfortunately are only in Italian (maybe some have subs).
The man tells the truth, you can almost feel it "physically".

To answer you Artemis, I feel for the being, aka ‘creature’. I appreciate you asking.

you're right, the witness said many times that the creature seemed very distressed, scared and he believes it was injured on the whole of its skin and body.
