The mysterious object shut down flights in Montana on Wednesday

BBC News
The US is tracking a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon that has been spotted flying over sensitive sites in recent days.

Defence officials said they were confident the "high-altitude surveillance balloon" belonged to China. It was most recently seen above the western state of Montana.

But military leaders decided against shooting it down as there were concerns over the danger of falling debris.

China has not yet commented.

Canada said on Friday that it was monitoring "a potential second incident" involving a surveillance balloon, but did not say which country could be behind it. It said in the statement that it is working closely with the US to "safeguard Canada's sensitive information from foreign intelligence threats".

The object flew over Alaska's Aleutian Islands and through Canada before appearing over the city of Billings in Montana on Wednesday, officials said.

A senior defence official speaking on condition of anonymity said the government prepared fighter jets, including F-22s, in case the White House ordered the object to be shot down.

Map
Top military leaders, including Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin and General Mark Milley, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, met on Wednesday to assess the threat. Mr Austin was travelling in the Philippines at the time.

But they advised against taking "kinetic action" against the balloon because of the danger falling debris might pose to people on the ground.

Montana, a sparsely populated state, is home to one of only three nuclear missile silo fields in the country, at Malmstrom Air Force Base, and officials said the apparent spy craft was flying over sensitive sites to collect information.

The defence official, however, said there was no "significantly enhanced threat" of US intelligence being compromised because American officials "know exactly where this balloon is and exactly where it's passing over".

He added that there was also no threat to civilian aviation as the balloon was "significantly" above the altitude used by commercial airlines.

The defence official said the US had raised the matter with Chinese officials in their embassy in Washington DC and in Beijing.

During Thursday's briefing at the Pentagon, officials declined to disclose the aircraft's current location. They also refused to provide more details of the object, including its size.

"There have been reports of pilots seeing this thing even though it's pretty high up in the sky," the unnamed defence official said. "So you know, it's sizable."

They added that such surveillance balloons had been tracked in the past several years, but this one was "appearing to hang out for a longer period of time this time around".

It confused social media users in Montana, with some posting images of a pale round object high in the sky. Others reported seeing US military planes in the area, apparently monitoring the object.

Billings office worker Chase Doak told the Associated Press news agency that he noticed the "big white circle in the sky" and went home to get a better camera.

"I thought maybe it was a legitimate UFO," he said. "So I wanted to make sure I documented it and took as many photos as I could."

Chinese state media has not reported on the incident, but it is being widely discussed on Chinese social media, with many amused at the reported use of balloons for surveillance.

"We have so many satellites, why would we need to use a balloon," wrote one user on Weibo.

Senator Marco Rubio, the top Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee, slammed China's alleged balloon.

"The level of espionage aimed at our country by Beijing has grown dramatically more intense & brazen over the last 5 years," he tweeted.

Montana Governor Greg Gianforte, a Republican, said in a statement that he had been briefed on the "deeply troubling" situation.

Speaking at an unrelated event in Washington DC on Thursday, CIA Director William Burns made no mention of the balloon, but called China the "biggest geopolitical challenge" currently facing the US.

The alleged spy craft is likely to increase tensions ahead of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to China next week. It will be the first visit to the country by a Biden administration cabinet secretary.

The top US diplomat will be in Beijing to hold talks on a wide range of issues, including security, Taiwan and Covid-19.

He will also meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, the the Financial Times reported on Thursday.

Balloons are one of oldest forms of surveillance technology. Compared to other air surveillance devices, they can be operated cheaply without personnel, while remaining airborne for long periods of time.

I have no faith in the Pentagon anymore, there just as corrupt as the rest of the bunch, this is like the tptb said oh we found documents at this other guys house but their 2 months old. America, land of the fee, home of the brave and a place where nobody goes to jail anymore, it's very very sad.

Hyping fears against China is maybe related to this topic (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?114491-WW3-Ukraine-US-vs.-Donbass-Russia&p=1541505&viewfull=1#post1541505) ... but China is a danger on so many other levels for sure ... but some of those fears can serve a very different agenda (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?114491-WW3-Ukraine-US-vs.-Donbass-Russia&p=1541505&viewfull=1#post1541505)!

So they (pentagon) dont really know whats goin on, yet they allowed it to drift over US soil, yeah right, and i said drift cause thats all a balloon can do, unless its powered somehow.

A bloke films it from his driveway at home, no problem, yet US forces, Air force in particular, couldnt stop a freaking balloon from passing over sensitive areas, they didnt want to shoot it down cause they were afraid someone on the ground could have been hurt, LMFAO.
If anything comes from this the Pentagon will have a lot of explaining to do, im sure if Trump occupied the WH this would have ended differently, just my opinion

I wouldn't put it past them to have sent it up themselves as a way to explain 'ALL' UFO/UAP sightings. Which I'd be shocked if they don't attempt to use it in that way in the near future anyways.

Same thing happened years ago with the crop circles with Dog and Dave. 2 blokes claimed to have hoaxed them all! Ya, 2 men from England traversed the globe creating these crop circles all over the world that fooled all the experts (they didn't - their hoaxed crop circles were easily identified as man-made). However, the media ate it up and the real story of crop circles became a joke.

It reminds me of the Japanese Fu-Go (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fu-Go_balloon_bomb) balloon bombs during WW2. Could this act imply at least one group have lost spy satellites? I recall DOD having the desire for high altitude surveillance balloons.

Security-sensitive stuff is hidden from satellites on the reg. Likewise, misinfo is also presented to them.

The scared voices saying “Shoot it down!” are just dumbasses. The best take I’ve heard (on YT - The China Show, today) is that SIGINT is our best response. Monitoring the balloon’s package’s communications emissions, to study their tech.

I expect the thing will be recovered, by and by. Maybe the Chinese are looking to see how we could do that without destroying the hardware. “Operation Butterfly Net”?

The Chinese Balloon and the Disappointing Reality of UFOs
Most strange sights in the sky have a very terrestrial explanation.

Residents of Billings, Montana, encountered a rather strange sight this week: A giant white ball hovering in the sky in broad daylight. The ball drifted between clouds and shimmered in the sun. It looked almost like a second moon.

American military officials suspect that the floating mystery object is a Chinese spy balloon. The high-altitude object, they say, traveled from China to Alaska and then Canada before crossing into the continental United States. The U.S. government considered shooting down the balloon before determining that the resulting debris could endanger those on the ground. China has insisted that the aerial interloper isn’t a surveillance system, but a weather balloon that was unfortunately blown off course. The White House said that the balloon isn’t a threat to anyone on the ground, but the U.S. secretary of state has postponed a scheduled trip to Beijing, reportedly because of the situation.

In a way, this is one more uncomfortable chapter in the story of adversarial nations operating in a shared stratosphere. It is also—hear me out—a little refreshing. After several years of breathless news coverage of mysterious things moving across the sky, inscrutable pilot footage, and shadowy government programs, here is a headline-grabbing flying object of concern that is, for once, identified. The U.S. and China may have different explanations for what the thing does, but we know what it is—and it’s not aliens.

Read: The UFO trap

As in the case of the Chinese balloon, there are almost always terrestrial explanations for unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, a term that has been synonymous with aliens since the moment government officials introduced it in the 1950s. (These days, the official term is UAPs, for “unexplained aerial phenomena.”) UFOs have classically been depicted as saucers, but sightings of all sorts of objects have been mistaken for the otherworldly over the years: military aircraft, drones, floating lanterns, meteors, weather events, birds, the afterglow of rocket launches—even the planet Venus, on its brightest days. And, of course, balloons. One of the most famous UFO sightings, over Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947, turned out to be a high-altitude balloon belonging to the Air Force.

The first (and typically secretive) government programs dedicated to identifying UFOs emerged around that time, and they’ve been contending with civilian sightings ever since. Last year, the Defense Department established a new office to spot and identify “anomalous” objects flying around its military installations. In a recent analysis of 366 UAP sightings, the office characterized 163—about 45 percent of reports—as “balloon or balloon-like entities.” Some reports turn out to not concern objects at all: One of the most intriguing UFO videos in recent years was found by a Pentagon analysis to be the result of a quirk of camera equipment. Another widely circulated video that captured a fast-moving object was explained away as an optical illusion.

Read: What the UFO discussion really needs

This is the great disappointment of UFOs. Sightings get “debunked,” and those that are unexplained—requiring “further analysis,” as the Defense Department puts it—usually stay that way. And any unanswered questions are a matter of national security, not ET; government officials said that when the Chinese balloon was spotted, they “acted immediately to protect against the collection of sensitive information”—hardly a cosmically thrilling response. To this day, there has been no definitive evidence that any UAPs merit existential panic. The atmosphere is a bad place to look for such signs, anyway. As I’ve written before, if aliens exist (or once existed), their stories are probably playing out (or once did) light-years from Earth.

You know what is everywhere? Balloons. Eyewitness reports put the Chinese spy balloon over Missouri this afternoon. Canadian officials said yesterday that they were monitoring what could be another high-altitude balloon. As I was writing this story, I looked out my apartment window and saw a party balloon zooming over the rooftops. An alien explanation would have been great for my career. But we haven’t found such an answer to that grand question yet, not in our atmosphere or beyond it. We must settle for this: In a universe where the truth about aliens is out there but difficult to find, we can have at least one balloon-shaped truth.

I'm a little confused why everyone is so surprised.

The Biden administration and the CCP are two sides of the same coin. For all intents and purposes the two countries are cooperative governing mafias. But even that explanation may be giving the Biden administration too much credit.

It should be commonly understood by now the United States is a captured nation, a vassal at best, and certainly a fallen sovereign.

Mike Adams weighs in supporting your comment, T Smith. It really should be obvious to everyone by now.

(For me personally, the Pentagon stating they are not taking down the balloon "out of an abundance of caution" for the safety of the people on the ground is laughable. They do not care one iota for the safety of their population, they have demonized their own population as domestic terrorists. They used the term "out of an abundance of caution" over and over again when they all went into lockdown for the "pandemic". That term jars me, it sounds like a code phrase to signal to their allies that they are in on the operation.)

Anyhow, Mike Adams brings up a number of points to consider. 31 minutes:

I suspect that the big picture here is fear mongering, adding to the anti-China psyop agenda. The anti-China agenda was never meant to end in war, but the protracted fear of war. That fear is the basis for the trillion dollar military industrial complex contracts. The military industrial complex (owned and controlled by Deep State players), takes 2/3rds of the US budget.

The USA imports billions of dollars of Chinese goods each year, and that would end with an effective EMP attack on the US - the Chinese would destroy their own economy. The Chinese government setting off an EMP burst over their main importer is therefore laughable (to me.)

These dirigibles have massive payload capabilities.
The only portion of the weapon that needs to be visible is the communications/targeting array.

It is the visible payload that is the size of three buses.
The balloon itself is far larger, like fifty times that size!

What is contained within can easily be completely invisible to any detection. That means they do not know what it contains.
And, the area inside that balloon is very large.

Draw your own conclusions.
Is it a direct threat?
Is at least an existential threat?
Or did some child in China lose their birthday balloon?

...

... from Jim Stone about that balloon:

I don't think the balloon was shot down (http://www.voterig.com/.uq1.html)

It was probably self detonated.

UPDATE: If you watch the video close up, a charge on the balloon itself detonated and released the payload, and a half second later the payload exploded. Auto destruct was used, obviously.

That exact balloon type was done by America's own DOD and I don't think China copied it that closely. And it looked exactly like a souped up version of Google's Project Loon.

Watch the videos of the "shoot down". There should have been an obvious missile trail complete with final maneuvering swirlies as it did the final approach all the way to the balloon, and nothing got within a mile of it.

It's totally obvious.

I think it self detonated.

AND JUST LIKE OSAMA, THEY BURIED IT AT SEA. You mean to tell me they let that thing go ALL THE WAY across the U.S., only to shoot it down SIX (6) SIX miles after it left the American coast?

Did I say SIX? Why six???

Here’s a write up from The Merge (I’m not a subscriber, but I get their email news sheet).

“Fox 2, Splash 1 Spy Balloon!
We hadn’t planned on covering a balloon this week—yet here we are.

The Beginning

ICYMI: A high-altitude balloon launched from China made its way across the Pacific, over Alaska (Jan 28th), through Canada (Jan 30th), and into the continental US (Jan 31st).

The threat seemed a bit inflated, so on Wednesday (Feb 1st), the Air Force launched 2 test-fleet F-22s (callsigns Rambo and Raptor) to fly from Nellis AFB, Nevada, to Montana to “intercept” it.

However, the US decided not to shoot it down due to the risk of falling debris.

The Middle

The US pressed China on the balloon, forcing China to claim ownership…but declared it an errant weather balloon.

By Thursday (Feb 2nd), the US clapped back that it was indeed a surveillance balloon with a rudimentary payload (no other details were offered, but here is a great HD photo to see the payload).

Behind the scenes, NORTHCOM and NASA were modeling the wind projections and debris pattern to inform a White House decision on whether to shoot it down over land or water.

That meant a waiting game until it drifted over the Atlantic, which gave the Air Force a few days to coordinate the shootdown.

F-22s would be the shooter due to the Raptor's unique ability to fly high into the bozosphere, beyond what mortal fighter jets are capable of.

The End

Early Saturday morning (Feb 4th), the balloon was spotted over the Carolinas, and aviation sleuths noticed the FAA had issued a massive Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) off the coast of South Carolina that blocked all civilian traffic.

We’ll let the dust settle for the final list of military assets put into motion to shoot down a simple balloon, but we’re tracking: F-15Cs, F-22s, numerous tankers, an E-3 AWACS, 1 Navy P-8 Poseidon, 1 Coast Guard C-130, 4 Navy ships, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Anyhoo, once the order was given, F-22s lit the burners, climbed above 50,000 feet, and lined up for the shot.

Due to the altitude, the Raptor had to use a missile. Why: the stealthy F-22 is restricted from shooting its gun above 50,000 feet due to the design limits of the gun door (when the trigger is pulled, the door pops open, exposing the gun barrel to shoot).

The balloon was somewhere around 60-65,000 feet, and the lead Raptor took the shot at 58,000 feet.

Fox 2! The pilot fired an AIM-9X, which uses an imaging IR (IIR) Focal Plane Array (FPA) seeker, the same tech used in sensitive thermal cameras. Here’s a sweet video showing the AIM-9X shacking the balloon payload and subsequently popping the balloon.

The balloon’s payload is now sitting in 47 feet of water; the Navy and Coast Guard are working on retrieving the payload.

The Flail

The payload on the balloon is probably trivial for intelligence gathering, but that’s not the big takeaway here.

The mere act of sending a balloon from China over the US is a fantastic way to mess with your adversary—the exact kind of grey-zone shadiness we’d cook up.

China got to probe public reactions and government responses with almost zero risk.

In the process, it consumed the attention of US media and citizens all week, forced the US military into dozens of meetings from the Pentagon to the flight line, consumed 1,000+ man-hours, and spent millions of dollars in military operating costs…to deal with a single balloon.

Well played, China. Well played.

Fun Fact: The F-22s flew with the callsign Frank. Why: the F-22s were from the 27th Fighter Squadron and have air combat lineage going back over 100 years to a guy named Frank Luke—the first airman awarded the Medal of Honor and famous for shooting down balloons during World War I. The 27th Fighter Squadron “Fightin’ Eagles” proudly carry that heritage today—their mascot is a cherished stuffed toy eagle named Frank. We'd bet money that Frank was in the cockpit for the shot.

Parting thought: The F-22's 58,000 AIM-9X shot against the ~60,000-foot target may be the highest altitude air-to-air kill in history. For the record, balloons have been considered valid kills since World War I.“

Project Genetrix, also known as WS-119L, was a United States Air Force program designed to launch General Mills manufactured surveillance balloons[1][2] over China, Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union to take aerial photographs and collect intelligence. The Genetrix balloons reached altitudes of 50,000–100,000 feet (15–30 km), well above any contemporary fighter plane.

History
In 1955 a number of AN/DMQ-1 gondolas were launched from Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado as a test of the system. One was recovered years later in New Brunswick.[3]

Between 10 January and 6 February 1956, a total of 516 high-altitude vehicles were launched from the five different launch sites Gardermoen, Norway; Evanton, Scotland; Oberpfaffenhofen and Giebelstadt, West Germany; and Incirlik, Turkey;[4][5] 54 were recovered and only 31 provided usable photographs. Numerous balloons were shot down or blown off course, and the flights led to many diplomatic protests from the target countries.[6][7] MiG fighter pilots learned that at sunrise the balloons had dipped into shooting range because the balloons floated to a lower altitude. The lifting gas cooled at night and became denser, reducing lift, so the balloons descended to lower altitudes where the air was denser.[8]

Authorized by President Dwight D. Eisenhower on December 27, 1955, Project 119L was the first espionage use of the balloons that had been tested in previous projects, such as "Moby Dick High". Project 119L was a follow up to Project Skyhook, Project Mogul and Project Grandson. The balloons were used to monitor the Soviet Union for such things as nuclear tests, and returned photography of more than 1.1 million square miles (more than 2.8 million square km) of the Sino-Soviet bloc.[7] Top-secret high-altitude balloon programs such as Moby Dick, Moby Dick High and 119L may account for many of the UFO sightings starting around the mid-20th century. The U-2 spy plane was later developed to replace the Genetrix balloons.[citation needed]

The Soviets recovered many of these balloons and their temperature-resistant and radiation-hardened film[8][9][10] would later be used in the Luna 3 probe to capture the first images of the far side of the Moon.

Balloon Wars: Part 16 of the Secret History of Silicon Valley
Posted on January 28, 2010 by steve blank
In the 1950’s the U.S. Military and the CIA enlisted balloons (some as tall as a 40-story building) as weapons systems targeting the Soviet Union. Throughout the decade they launched a series of Top Secret/codeword balloon projects and thousands of balloons, to gather intelligence about the Soviet Union. The individual stories of these programs are interesting but an unexpected consequence of their secrecy was that they created a mythology that outlasted the missions.

https://steveblank.com/2010/01/28/balloon-wars

Why Balloons?
In the 1950’s balloons had attributes that airplanes couldn’t match. In the days before satellites they could stay aloft for a long time (days or even weeks,) they could reach altitudes where airplanes couldn’t fly (100,000 feet,) and they could go places that were too dangerous for manned aircraft (flying over the Soviet Union.)

The Search for Soviet Nuclear Weapons
Project MOGUL was an Air Force balloon program to detect Soviet nuclear tests by listening to sound waves traveling through the upper atmosphere. During World War II, scientists had discovered the existence of an ocean layer that conducted underwater sound for thousands of miles. They thought that a similar sound channel might exist in the upper atmosphere. If they could put microphones in the upper atmosphere, the U.S. thought they might be able to hear Soviet nuclear tests and even detect ballistic missiles launches heading toward their targets. Designed to test this theory, Project Mogul balloons carried microphones up to the sound channel to “listen” and radio transmitters to send the sound to the ground. At first, project MOGUL flights involved trains of small weather balloons up to 600 feet in length. Later MOGUL flights used the large polyethylene balloons developed for the Navy’s SKYHOOK.

Flying Sandwich Bags – SKYHOOK
SKYHOOK balloons, funded by the Office of Naval Research, were designed to stay at a fixed altitude (~100,000 feet) and carry a payload of thousands of pounds. They were huge, 400 feet high, made possible because the then new material called polyethylene. These “flying sandwich bags” were built by a company that had experience using this material in packaging – General Mills (the same company that makes Cheerios.)

Sniffing for a Reactor – Nuclear Air Sampling – ASHCAN
In 1957 the Air Force started Project ASHCAN (using SKYHOOK class balloons at 100,0000 feet) to take high altitude air samples and search for nuclear particles and trace gases in fallout from tests in the Soviet Union. For the first time, U.S. intelligence could estimate the amount of plutonium being produced by Soviet weapons production reactors. These balloons were secretly launched from Brazil and the Panama Canal Zone, and from air force bases in the U.S. Over time, U.S. intelligence also used reconnaissance planes like the U-2, RB-57’s, and C-130 aircraft to collect air samples.

Genetrix Launched from the U.S.S. Valley Forge

Ballooning Over the Soviet Union – GENETRIX
While the nuclear detection balloons did their spying while flying above the U.S. or allied countries, the next series of balloons flew over the Soviet Union.

In the 1950’s, while U.S. reconnaissance aircraft flew around the periphery of the Soviet Union, U.S. military planners still had virtually no information about what was going on in vast areas of the Soviet territory. While there were a few overflights of the Soviet interior in the early 1950’s these missions were extremely risky and couldn’t provide enough information to assess Soviet military strength. Spy satellites and the
U-2 spy planes were still far in the future so the U.S. military became big fans of reconnaissance balloons as a solution to this problem.

In 1950 the Air Force thought that high-altitude balloons might be used to perform photo and ELINT spyflights over the Soviet Union. They placed aerial reconnaissance cameras on the balloons and ran a series of test programs (code names of GOPHER, MOBY DICK, GRANDSON and GRAYBACK) launching 640 balloons from New Mexico, Montana, the West Coast, Missouri and Georgia. With the tests completed, the program name changed to GENETRIX and was given the designation of Weapons System 119L.

In late 1955 President Eisenhower gave the ok to launch the GENETRIX balloons over the Soviet Union. Hundreds of these balloons took off from secret sites in Norway, Scotland, West Germany, and Turkey carrying a gondola with two reconnaissance cameras.

The United States launched 516 of the GENETRIX balloons but only 44 or so made it out of the Soviet Union. The rest landed on Soviet farms dumping 600-pound cameras in hayfields. We did get coverage of about 8 percent of the Soviet Union, but politically it created a lot of tension as cameras were popping up on Khrushchev’s desk. “Oh, another balloon Mr. Premier.” The Soviets put on a public exhibition of the equipment.

Bigger and Better- MELTING POT
Never one to give up, the military suggested a bigger and better balloon program. Since the GENETRIX balloons flying at 55,000 feet were relatively easy for Soviet fighters to intercept, the new balloons would be built around the Navy SKYHOOK design and fly at 100,000 feet for up to a month. These balloons would carry a new reconnaissance camera, built by the Boston University Physical Research Lab. Three of these balloons were launched in July 1958 from an aircraft carrier off the east coast of Japan (in those months the jet stream at the altitude went west to east.) All three accidentally dropped their gondolas over Communist territory. President Eisenhower cancelled all the balloon overflights.

Unexpected Consequences – UFO’s in the 1950’s
All these balloon flights had an unexpected consequence on a jittery and paranoid nation in the Cold War. Before sunrise and after sunset, while the Earth below was dark, high altitude balloons were still lit by sunlight, and their plastic skin glowed and appeared to change color with the change in sun angle. Some of the Project Mogul balloon flights were launched from Alamogordo Air Base in New Mexico in 1947, and a few crashed nearby – one near a town called Roswell. The start of the Mogul balloon flights coincided with the first reports of UFO’s. To someone on the ground, these balloons may have looked like UFOs.

Because each of these separate balloon programs were highly compartmentalized programs it’s doubtful that there was any one individual who realized that the sum of the programs were putting thousands of high altitude balloons in the air in the 1950’s. The MOGUL, MOBY DICK, ASHCAN and GENETRIX programs were the CIA/military’s most closely guarded secret projects. Balloon sightings were dismissed with cover story: they were just weather balloons. Even as one part of the military tried to investigate these sightings, the other kept them away from the true purpose of the balloon missions. The reason for the denials – 1) the Soviets could have masked their nuclear tests and filtered their reactor emissions if they knew what we were sampling and 2) GENETRIX balloon flights over the Soviet Union were a violation of international law.

The thousands of classified balloon flights (along with the first flight of the high altitude CIA U-2 reconnaissance plane in 1955) are a possible explanation of of UFO sightings in the 1950’s and the claim of military cover-ups.

Watch: US official confirms downing of object over Alaska

By Sam Cabral
BBC News, Washington
A "high-altitude object" was shot down over Alaska earlier on Friday, the White House has said.

Spokesman John Kirby said the unmanned object was "the size of a small car" and was over a sparsely populated area at the time.

President Joe Biden took the decision to shoot down the object, which was of unknown origin, Mr Kirby said.

It comes after the US shot down a Chinese balloon over its territorial waters last Saturday.

Speaking at the White House on Friday, Mr Kirby explained that the object over Alaska was travelling at 40,000ft (12,000m) and posed a "reasonable threat" to civilian aircraft.

He said the object had fallen into US waters that are currently frozen, adding that its debris field was "much, much smaller" than the balloon shot down last week off the coast of South Carolina.

Intelligence officials became aware of the object on Thursday evening, according to Mr Kirby. "We do not know who owns it, whether it's state owned or corporate owned or privately owned," he said.

He said a fighter jet had approached the object and assessed there was nobody onboard, and this information was available to Mr Biden when he made his decision.

Map of Blackhorse, Alaska, near where the object was shot down
Pentagon press secretary Brigadier General Pat Ryder confirmed that an F-22 jet shot down the object - which was moving at an unknown speed - with a sidewinder missile at 13:45 EST (18:45 GMT).

Officials have not yet determined whether the object was involved in surveillance, and Mr Kirby corrected a reporter who referred to it as a balloon.

He did not specify the exact location where the object was shot down, but the Federal Aviation Administration said it had closed airspace in the area of Deadhorse, in northern Alaska.

No other objects of a threatening nature have been identified above the US at this time, according to the White House.

Is there a thread on the Canada or Alaska shoot downs? There was also an 'object' picked up on Radar over Montana, but scrambled aircraft were unable to find it.

Not that I could find. It may be that the title of the thread needs to be changed by an admin to be more encompassing.

Meanwhile, airspace over Montana was temporarily closed (now re-opened):

FAA says airspace in Montana reopened after 'Department of Defense activities' (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/faa-closes-airspace-montana-support-department-defense-activities)

NORAD issued a statement saying incident was a 'radar anonmaly'

The Federal Aviation Administration announced Saturday that it issued a temporary flight restriction over a portion of Montana shortly after an unidentified object was shot down over Canada and later said the restriction was lifted.

"The FAA closed some airspace in Montana to support Department of Defense activities," the FAA told Fox News Digital in a statement on Saturday evening.

The airspace closed down was in the area around Havre, Montana not far from the U.S. border with Canada.

The FAA said the directive was "effective immediately until further notice."

Shortly after that announcement, the FAA said the airspace has been reopened but did not provide further details.

Montana Republican Rep. Matt Rosendale posted on Twitter that an "object" was spotted over Montana that could potentially interfere with commercial air travel. Rosendale posted after the restriction was lifted that he "will remain in contact with defense officials and share more information as it becomes available" because "Montanans deserve answers."

Shortly after Rosendale's tweet, NORAD issued a statement saying that it "detected a radar anomaly and sent fighter aircraft to investigate."

"Those aircraft did not identify any object to correlate to the radar hits. NORAD will continue to monitor the situation," the statement said.

The Pentagon did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

News of the radar anomaly comes shortly after an unknown object was shot down by a U.S. military fighter jet over Canada in a joint NORAD operation between Canada and the United States.

The object was the third object to be shot down by a U.S. owned F-22 Raptor in the last week.

On Friday, an unidentified object of an unknown origin was shot down in northern Alaska in an incident that came roughly a week after a Chinese surveillance balloon was shot down off the coast of South Carolina.

Ok this is what I have read so far:

USA ALASKA:
The Alaska object, travelling east at 40 000 feet, and the size of a small car and was not ‘self-manoeuvring’, was shot down about 10 miles off the North Alaska coastline at 1:45 pm EST, crashing onto sea ice. It was shot down with an AIM 9x fired from an F-22. Multiple forces are involved in recovery operation. CNN says that F-35 jets examined the object on Thursday night (US time) as well as Friday morning. They also report pilots gave differing accounts. The differing accounts, from unnamed source, are that some pilots reported that their sensing instruments were interred with by the object, whereas other pilots didn’t report this. Early reports described the object as silver and cylindrical.

Recovery effort involves Alaska air national guard, HC-130 Hercules, HH-60 Paev Hawk and CH-47 Chinook. A significant amount of debris has been located already according to Brig Gen Patrick Ryder, Pentagon spokesman. The FBI is also reported by CNN to be involved in the recovery effort.

CANADA YUKON
The Canadian object was shot down at 15:41 local time by order of Trudeau under the title of a NORAD operation. Both US and Canadian aircraft had been scrambled. It was “flying” at 40 000 ft (12 000m). It was shot down using an AIM 9x missile fired from a US F-22. The shoot down happened about 100 miles from the US border. (BBC News, sharing information from Canadian Defence Minister, and CNN). CNN writes that it was in the central-Yukon (I assume with regards to latitude). CNN reports that a Canadian CF-18 and CP-140 joined the formation assessing the object.

It's been claimed the Canadian Defence minister inferred that aircraft had difficulties locking on to the target. The source of this claim may be in the approximately 28 minute press briefing that the minister gave. I haven’t checked this.

USA MONTANA
Later,
In the USA, a “Radar anomaly” was detected over Montana. The air space was closed over the Havre area (since re-opened), and two F-15s were scrambled from Portland. A refuelling aircraft from Spokane was also scrambled. There is purported audio of the F-15 scrambling via the ANG Portland control tower on twitter with call signs “Rock 41” and “Rock 42”, and flight radar 24 track of the re-fueller, which reports the aircraft as a KC-135 Stratotanker.

According to NORAD, the aircraft were unable to locate any objects correlating to the “radar hits”.

Meanwhile the governor of Montana had been briefed of an ‘object’ flying over Montana. He has spoken to the media briefly. Representative Matt Rosendale also reported on twitter that airspace was closed due to “an object” and that the DoD will ground the object in the morning. This appears to be the source of some claims that the object would be shot down in the morning.

The John Basham twitter account (alleged meteorologist and ex military) claims via undisclosed sources that : Montana radar signals were intermittent and have since stopped. He claims the object was detected on Satellite, not just Radar. He also claims that the reason all these aircraft are suddenly being detected is that NORAD turned off noise filters on their multi-sensor airspace monitoring system. He also claims that Norad reported that the Canada aircraft was not detected until after it has entered “American airspace.” None of this is confirmed.

There are multiple people claiming the objects that were shot down ‘shattered’ however I can’t find a government source for these claims.

The NORAD twitter account has posted various updates.

So, the ‘weird’ stuff includes: interference with aircraft sensors, avoiding missile lock (allegedly) and disappearing from radar. I don’t know what to believe at this point, but these are some strange claims. I don’t even really know why we are being told so much so early – this is all very suspicious. Anyway, they would have plenty of photos, video and wreckage by now, so hopefully we learn more, that is, if they are being truthful..

Canada said a US military aircraft F-22, seen here in an archive photograph, shot down the object

BBC News
Another unidentified object has been shot down over North American airspace, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has confirmed.

He said the latest object "violated Canadian airspace" and was shot down over Yukon in north-west Canada.

Both Canadian and US aircraft were scrambled to track down the object which Mr Trudeau says was taken out by a US F-22 fighter jet.

It is the third object to be shot down over North America in the last week.

The American military destroyed a Chinese balloon last weekend, and on Friday an unspecified object the size of a small car was shot down off Alaska.

Mr Trudeau confirmed on Saturday he gave the order and had spoken with US President Joe Biden.

"Canadian forces will now recover and analyse the wreckage of the object," he wrote on Twitter.

The latest unspecified object was flying over central Yukon at about 40,000 ft (12,000m) and intercepted at about 15:41 local time on Saturday, defence minister Anita Anand told reporters.

She described it as "small" and "cylindrical", but that recovery efforts are still being carried out to discover more details.

Map of Yukon in Canada next to Alaska, USA
Ms Anand said it was taken out "about 100 miles" from the US border, adding it posed a "reasonable threat to civil aviation".

She said it "appears to be smaller than the one shot down off the coast of South Carolina" last Saturday - meaning the giant Chinese suspected spy balloon that measured 200ft (60m) tall.

Posting earlier on Twitter, Prime Minister Trudeau thanked the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) which carries out air defence for the US and Canada and led the mission.

The White House said the object had been tracked and monitored "over the last 24 hours".

"Out of an abundance of caution and at the recommendation of their militaries, President Biden and Prime Minister Trudeau authorised it to be taken down," it said.

"The leaders discussed the importance of recovering the object in order to determine more details on its purpose or origin."

Giving more details on the mission to take down the object, the US Department of Defense confirmed two F-22 jets took off from a military base in Anchorage, Alaska and the object was shot down with an AIM 9X missile.

Pentagon Press Secretary Brig Gen Pat Ryder added that the FBI will be "working closely" with Canadian police.

Separately on Saturday, the US military also scrambled fighter jets over Montana as some airspace was closed - but it turned out to be a "radar anomaly" and nothing unusual was found.

The latest object's appearance over North America comes just a week after a suspected Chinese spy balloon was also destroyed by the US.

On Friday another unspecified object was tracked and shot down over Alaska at the orders of US President Biden.

In a short statement, the military said US troops, including from the Alaska National Guard, were still conducting search and recovery activities on sea ice for Friday's object.

It said it had no further details about the object's capabilities, purpose or origin but confirmed the FBI is helping with the recovery near the Alaskan town of Deadhorse.

"Arctic weather conditions, including wind chill, snow, and limited daylight, are a factor in this operation, and personnel will adjust recovery operations to maintain safety," it added - and that the rescue operation will continue as weather permits.

What can US learn from Chinese balloon debris?
Balloon saga deflates efforts to mend US-China relations
Last weekend, defence officials told US media that debris from the Chinese balloon landed in 47ft (14m) of water - shallower than they had expected - near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

China has denied the balloon - which first entered US airspace on 28 January - was used for spying purposes, saying it was a weather device gone astray.

The US, however, said the balloon is part of a fleet of surveillance balloons that have flown over five continents.

The balloon incident has strained US-China relations, with Secretary of State Antony Blinken cancelling a planned trip to Beijing.

Chinese officials on Friday accused the US of "political manipulation and hype".

In an interview on Thursday, President Biden defended his handling of the Chinese balloon, maintaining that it was not "a major breach".

Spy Balloons and "Unidentified" Objects Shot Down, What In The Psy-Op Is Going On? (https://jordansather.substack.com/p/spy-balloons-and-unidentified-objects)

Pertinent extracts:

It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s a... big distraction in the sky!

Whatever it is, the drama over the past couple of weeks with Chinese spy balloons and supposed “unidentified objects” being shot down is garnering more questions than answers. Every day we’re learning a new piece to the puzzle, except the problem is these pieces don’t seem to fit anywhere and are only making things more puzzling.

What is this all leading up to? Is all this some mega power play by China? Are these Deep State false flags designed for some reason or another? Is the aLiEnS card finally being pulled? Is this simply a kabuki theater distraction with (literal) shiny objects designed to divert our attention away from other news stories exposing the Deep State?...

...If all these "unidentified objects" and whatevers-in-the-sky really is a nothing burger false flag kabuki theater meant to divert our attention - what could they be trying to distract us from?

Here's a few things:

- Pfizer exposed for "directed evolution" research
- Fmr Twitter execs laid out for election interference
- Biden's classified document scandal
- Biden exposed for ordering the Nordstream pipeline blown up
- Hollywood Satanism on full display at the Grammys
- More Epstein documents to be dropped soon
- U.S. funded biolabs in Ukraine

I mean, there’s so much going on exposing the Deep State right now that it’s reasonable to conclude that they’d want a distraction for Americans from it all.

I am continually reminded of the movie Wag the Dog (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wag_the_Dog) ....

The US has shot down another unidentified flying object, this time over Lake Huron near the Canadian border, in what is the fourth such incident this month.

It was downed by Air Force and National Guard pilots on Sunday, Michigan Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin said.

"Great work by all who carried out this mission," she said.

Washington has been on high alert since its military destroyed a suspected Chinese spy balloon on 4 February.

This is a developing story. More updates to follow.

U.S. military shoots down flying object near Canadian border
By Phil Stewart, Idrees Ali

5 MIN READ

OTTAWA/WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. military shot down a flying object over Lake Huron near the U.S.-Canada border, U.S. officials said on Sunday, in the fourth such interception by American fighters this month.

FILE PHOTO: Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks to media before discussing healthcare with Provincial and Territorial premiers in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, February 7, 2023. REUTERS/Blair Gable
Two U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters that the military had shot down the object.

Separately, U.S. Representative Jack Bergman said an object had been “decommissioned.”

Meanwhile, Canadian investigators are hunting for the wreckage of an unidentified flying object that was shot down by a U.S. jet over Yukon territory on Saturday.

“Recovery teams are on the ground, looking to find and analyze the object,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters on Sunday.

“The security of citizens is our top priority and that’s why I made the decision to have that unidentified object shot down,” he said, adding that it had posed a danger to civilian aircraft.

North America has been on high alert for aerial intrusions following the appearance of a white, eye-catching Chinese airship over American skies earlier this month.

The 200-foot-tall (60-meter-high) balloon - which Americans have accused Beijing of using to spy on the United States - caused an international incident, leading Secretary of State Antony Blinken to call off a planned trip to China only hours before he was set to depart.

Surveillance fears appear to have U.S. officials on high alert.

Twice in 24 hours, U.S. officials closed airspace - only to reopen it swiftly. On Sunday, the Federal Aviation Administration briefly closed space above Lake Michigan. On Saturday, the U.S. military scrambled fighter jets in Montana to investigate a radar anomaly there.

U.S. Representative Elissa Slotkin, a Democrat who represents a district in Michigan, said the military had an “extremely close eye” on an object above Lake Huron, which is east of Lake Michigan on the U.S.-Canada border.

Canada also closed airspace on Sunday near Tobermory, Ontario, which is on Lake Huron near the U.S. border, according to Nav Canada, a private non-profit that operates Canada’s air traffic control system.

China denies the first balloon was being used for surveillance and says it was a civilian research craft. It condemned the United States for shooting it down off the coast of South Carolina last Saturday.

With military and intelligence officials newly focused on airborne threats, at least two other flying objects have since been destroyed over North America.

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer told U.S. broadcaster ABC that U.S. officials think the two latest objects were also balloons. The original balloon was brought down off the coast of South Carolina on Feb. 4. A second was shot down over sea ice near Deadhorse, Alaska, on Friday. The third was destroyed over the Yukon on Saturday.

“They believe they were (balloons), yes, but much smaller than the first one,” Schumer said.

The White House said only that the recently downed objects “did not closely resemble” the Chinese balloon, echoing Schumer’s description of them as “much smaller.”

“We will not definitively characterize them until we can recover the debris, which we are working on,” a spokesperson said.

Schumer said he was confident U.S. investigators scouring the ocean off South Carolina to recover debris and electronic gadgetry from the original balloon would get to the bottom of what it was being used for.

DEBRIS IN REMOTE LOCALE
Canadian counterparts trying to piece together what was shot down over the Yukon may have their own challenges. The territory is a sparsely populated region in Canada’s far northwest, which borders Alaska. It can be brutally cold in the winter, but temperatures are unusually mild for this time of year which could ease the recovery effort.

Speaking to Fox News, House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul said the balloon shot down over the South Carolina coast had been on a mission to get imagery of sensitive American nuclear sites.

“They want to get imagery, get intelligence on our military capability, particularly nuclear,” McCaul said. “And they’re building quite a nuclear stockpile themselves.”

Republican lawmaker Mike Turner, who serves on the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, suggested the White House might be overcompensating for what he described as its previously lax monitoring of American airspace.

“They do appear somewhat trigger-happy,” Turner told CNN on Sunday. “I would prefer them to be trigger-happy than to be permissive.”

Republicans have criticized the Biden administration over its handling of the incursion by the suspected Chinese spy balloon, saying it should have been shot down much earlier.

Chuck Schumer: Latest flying objects shot down were likely balloons

The US believes that the flying objects shot down over North American airspace on Friday and Saturday were balloons, according to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Washington has been on high alert since its military destroyed a suspected Chinese spy balloon earlier this month.

While he didn't say specifically that the two latest objects were Chinese, Mr Schumer told ABC on Sunday that Beijing was likely using a "crew of balloons" that had "probably been all over the world".

Responding to queries about Mr Schumer's remarks, a spokesperson for the US Department of Defense said the latest two objects "did not closely resemble" the original balloon and were much smaller, Reuters reported.

Three objects have been shot down over North America in the past week.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed that the latest object was shot down on Saturday over the Yukon in north-west Canada.

Both Canadian and US aircraft were scrambled to track the object, which Mr Trudeau said had "violated Canadian airspace". It was taken out by a US F-22 fighter jet.

Speaking on Sunday, Mr Trudeau said recovery teams were on the ground trying to find the object and that there was still "much to know".

Separately, on Friday, the American military shot down an object the size of a small car off Alaska.

It happened just under a week after the US destroyed a Chinese balloon over the Atlantic, on 4 February.

Mr Schumer, who said he had been briefed by national security adviser Jake Sullivan, implied that suspected surveillance balloons had been in operation for years and that Congress should examine why it took so long for the US to find out about them.

"The bottom line is, until a few months ago we didn't know of these balloons - our intelligence and our military didn't know," he said.

What can US learn from Chinese balloon debris?
Asked whether China would have to shut down any surveillance programme using balloons, Mr Schumer said Beijing had been "humiliated".

"I think the Chinese were caught lying, and it's a real step back for them… they look really bad," he said.

"They're not just doing the United States, this is a crew of balloons... they've probably been all over the world," he added.

China has yet to respond to Mr Schumer's comments but has denied the first suspected surveillance balloon - which first entered US airspace on 28 January - was used for spying purposes, saying it was a weather device gone astray.

Map of Yukon in Canada next to Alaska, USA
Referring to the efforts to take out the latest object on Saturday, the White House, which was in communication with Canada, said in a statement that the object had been tracked and monitored for 24 hours.

Meanwhile, continuing efforts to find and recover Friday's object near the Alaskan town of Deadhorse are being hampered by poor weather.

The US military said in a statement that "Arctic weather conditions, including wind chill, snow, and limited daylight, are a factor in this operation, and personnel will adjust recovery operations to maintain safety".

Research has shown that they had indeed shot down some non-human craft back in the 40s over New Mexico with a special beam and radar (I suspect Tesla longitudinal) and some nonhuman craft seemed susceptible to this attack back then, I also doubt that today the same would be happening so often, in such a brief period. One possible explanation is UAS Unmanned Aerial Systems that could have a saucer-like metallic shape hiding the propellers or other thrust devices inside the carriage.

They could have a long-range and be launched from international waters 15 miles in the ocean and perhaps be Chinese or Russian. Another hypothesis is that the "cabal" resisting a change of the old narrative given to the public (that there is nothing otherworldly or non-human about UAP) could be sending up and downing UAS in order to provide a sufficient explanation to a large percentage of the population that prefers to avoid considering the evidence for non-human-related UAP. This would reinforce the image of Chinese spy balloons already in people's minds and it happened after another recent dismissing article in the Wall Street Journal.

Also, the idea of a false flag operation (which I doubt) cannot be discarded at this point.

Then again, we don't know. But again, just a few hours ago, ANOTHER "object" (clearly not called "balloon") was downed over Lake Huron. However, if these are Chinese or Russian or from another earthly country, this comes close to a war-like provocation as when Gary Powers U2 airplane was downed over Russia in 1960. By now, Canada's Defence Minister and the US's Defence Minister should have more information on the details from recuperated pieces and - hopefully - visually and from onboard HD "gun camera."
"
We must definitely keep an eye on this unfolding drama and consider all possibilities keeping in mind how authorities handled UFO in the past.

Here is an interesting twist where we have object appearing over Volgograd.

Putin threatened the West with an attack. The pilots spotted a UFO over the city at the moment.

This just appeared a few hours ago. Translated from Czech. See link below.

In his speech in Volgograd, Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened the West with a nuclear attack. According to Russian pilots, a UFO appeared over his head at that moment. This report was confirmed by several aircrews heading to Moscow and St. Petersburg who flew over the area.

During Vladimir Putin's strike speech, people spotted a strange phenomenon. According to several pilots, a UFO was hovering in the sky several kilometres above the Kremlin chief's head. At that moment, he was threatening Western countries with the use of nuclear weapons. He announced that the war with Russia was going into other dimensions than anyone had previously thought.

The Russian President had no idea that a flying saucer was about to hover over him. "The crew of a flight from Sochi to Moscow reported a few minutes before Volgograd that they spotted an unidentified flying object at an altitude of 10 kilometers, which changed color, height and direction of movement," Aviators China, a website that analyzes aviation in the post-Soviet space, said on the social networking site Telegram.

"The pilots could not determine the distance from the object. The sightings were also confirmed by the crews of Aeroflot, S7 Airlines and Rossiya flights that flew near Volgograd," the channel added. Pilots of the latter company estimated the distance from the objects at 200 kilometers.

This was the first thing that popped up in my head, at 1.10 in the video.Folks, this is ridiculous media-hyped theater indeed, but nothing gently floating around in the atmosphere that allows itself to be shot down (and NOT instantly disappear over the horizon at Mach 15) is an ET spacecraft. :)

What you say is undeniably true Bill, but the ET/UFO angle has been mentioned on all news stations in the UK today. George Galloway did a poll on his show yesterday and the alien vote came 2nd. Also it's more to do with people's perception rather than technology atm and, what I find immensely cheering is just how many of the public are awake and aware of the extraterrestrial phenomena. I can't believe the ptb won't milk this if they think it's to their advantage. But as for us - we will wait and see . . .

I think this guy has the best take on this, sorry it's so long, but it's very complexxlFkttiDU7M

There's some extremely important information in this video also relating to a few recent active threads.

A global disaster is coming in 2023 (that's for sure)! (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?120556-A-global-disaster-is-coming-in-2023--that-s-for-sure--&p=1542917#post1542917)
WW3? Ukraine/US vs. Donbass/Russia (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?114491-WW3-Ukraine-US-vs.-Donbass-Russia/page417)

When you start to believe things can't get more weird, well, then they start shooting down balloons! This is the start of another major global event IMO.~~~

Pressed for time here (re watching long videos), can someone have a stab at summarizing the main points? I'd really appreciate that. :highfive:

The host basically explains the history of the COG and the players involved in todays theater. The most important info is really in the first hour. The DJ host connects dots going all the way back to WWII but mainly back to the Roswell UFO incident, JFK, Reagan, and now how the COG plan connects directly to the Globalists, which can basically have more power than the Presidency. He connects dots with the main Covid players etc.

I'm at work right now and pressed for time, reason for short post. You should just skim through the first hour of this. It's rather quite interesting.

I know a "retired remote viewer, they completely avoid all news, social media etc... I had mentioned that media claims "UFO's had been shot down" nothing more.

They seem to have "remote viewed" the recent UFO activity and correctly identified that one had been in China and one over lakes near Canadian border.

His next observation is why I wrote this post, he said "I'm seeing a cylindrical shape and flapping mylar, I keep seeing flapping mylar"

He wouldn't say if it were a balloon, just that he kept seeing flapping mylar.

Take from it what you will, and I guess you have to just trust me, but I've witnessed him give extreme detail about non local events that turned out to be correct more times than I can count.

NORAD Commander Can't Rule Out Aliens After Unidentified Objects Shot Down

BY TYLER DURDEN

What started out as a Chinese spy balloon shot down February 4th over the coast of South Carolina has rapidly escalated to talk of aliens.

https://assets.zerohedge.com/s3fs-public/styles/inline_image_mobile/public/inline-images/marsattacks.jpg?itok=-q99vRlO

"I'll let the intel community and the counterintelligence community figure that out. I haven't ruled out anything," said US Air Force General Glen VanHerck, who oversees NORAD , during a Sunday press briefing at the Pentagon. "At this point we continue to assess every threat or potential threat, unknown, that approaches North America with an attempt to identify it."

What's more, VanHerck says that the military has not been able to identify how the three latest objects have been able to stay aloft.

"We're calling them objects, not balloons, for a reason," he said.

VanHerck's comments came after a US F-16 fighter jet shot down an 'unidentified object' hovering at 20,000 ft. over Lake Huron on Sunday - the third such downing in three days, and the most recent military strike in an unprecedented chain of events over North America. The object was described as an unmanned "octagonal structure" with "potential surveillance capabilities" and strings attached to it.

Hello guys, These weeks I was shocked by this Chinese balloon hysteria. So I wanted to discuss some things that maybe people here find a bit crazy but it's a theory that I've been studying for some time and I think it's possible to be true. With all the technology that exists, why would a satellite be attached to a balloon? If there are so many satellites why do we still spend so many antennas? The answer is simple because we can't pass the van allen belt!!!

If the space exists or not I don't know!!! I don't know if the earth is flat or not, but looking at the evidence, especially the cgi photos from NASA, I'm sure that man didn't go to the moon, not with that wagon that looks like it's made of cardboard and aluminum foil. for a temperature of + 2000 it was impossible in 1960 to go somewhere only with reverse antigravity technology. And if it's real ufos they don't go to space they go to other dimensions because we live in a holographic world that is not natural and it's a copy of another place that has everything similar to this planet or prison place. As many ancients have told us, we are trapped and whoever created this world changed the source code and made it treacherous where to sustain ourselves we have to be predators or hurry.

Archons, Satan, Demiurge the creator of the matrix whoever he is does everything to use our core creator or our soul in his favor. And now I think it has reached the height of using aliens and unidentified flying objects to scare us and imprison us. I'm saying all these things because I think from now on things are going to get uglier and more lying than ever!!! I'm not here to say that I know everything or that I'm right about everything, on the contrary, I have many doubts but what I really know is also why I made my channel with meditative music and frequencies, not as a hobby but because I want at least one part of people has all the focus on knowing who they really are!!! It is part of the source of true god or divine power and that is the only way to go.

We are very powerful, we are the cavalry as I've heard Bill say, we have to focus on our creative power helping each other and ourselves as much as possible and co-create as much positivity and truth as possible because most people won't make it and will be caught in this great theater of fear and ignorance that they have been playing for years. For me, at least, there will be no brother from space to save us, we have to focus on ourselves and I have faith here in this forum, I think that most people here want the same thing if here is a flawed world with this wrong code, there is no point in wanting to save the world because he has no salvation he is part of some experience that if it is malignant or benign I do not know, but I know that we can save ourselves and help anyone who wants to be helped. I put this post here in the off topic because I don't know where it would be better but if you want to change you can.... I just wanted to vent I think things are going to get really bad from now on lies and lies will be told and I wanted to do my part and discuss with everyone here what do you think!!! A big hug and great week to all!!!

I had friends calling me to debate the possible alien invasion. Highly intelligent and well educated people, buying into this disney world, most likely trying to ascertain the level of threat.

They got very disappointed when I explained to them the basics of magic tricks (https://www.masterclass.com/articles/magic-101-what-is-sleight-of-hand-learn-10-different-sleight-of-hand-tricks-to-try-at-home) and how misdirection is so important in steering the audience’s attention away from the important things.

Things like genocide awareness, mass awakening, the continuous erosion of our freedoms, the relentless attack on our health / climate / flora and fauna, the world wide captured political class and more.

I don't know if this is a piece of the puzzle or not... but it came to mind..

In the dark journalist video he mentioned sky flashes over Montana (a state which keeps being featured) in the early days of this saga. I had forgotten about this. The flashes were captured on video and shared online with millions of views, I remember seeing it just after it was posted, and it's still viewable on twitter via the @bennyjohnson account, posted on the 4th of Feb 2023.

On the 6th of Feb 2023 the devastating Turkey-Syria earthquake occurred. The first video I saw of the earthquake was filmed during darkness and showed multiple sky flashes. I had thought it was lightning, but it is now believed to be triboluminescence (information here https://groundreport.in/what-is-earthquake-light-that-seen-in-turkey-before-massive-jolt/) caused by the brewing earthquake itself. This is a very rare phenomenon, and I think it's still somewhat controversial within science, and I don't think I've seen it captured on video before. Apologies if this has been discussed in another thread.

Anyway, this is all probably completely unrelated - but did we ever get an explanation for the Montana flashes (they were quite intense)? I wonder if there was any seismic activity in the area.

IMO, I don't think you can shoot down a UFO/UAP with our aircraft. However that doesn't rule out other ways without aircraft where there is evidence to show that some UFO/UAP crash landed. The history of military/UFO exchange has gone back at least 75 years.

The current news is specifically talking about shooting down objects with aircraft.

How can you compete with objects that manage to manipulate space / time invisibility. All the characteristics presented from 1947 until today are the evidence of a gap that separates us, perhaps of millennia. Already in years past when a jet tried to shoot at UFOs, "they" jammed the enemy engagement devices. In the case of the events of the Nimitz and Tic Tac have shown to have these characteristics:

Top five observable features that have persisted since 1947:

1) Extreme maneuverability.
2) Hypersonic speed.
3) Low observability.
4) Transmedium travel capability
5) Positive ascent without any kind of obvious traces of aerodynamics, thrust or propulsion.

An engagement against these objects would be impossible as the historical records show.

Presenting a new hypothesis, although unlikely, cannot be ruled out in the equation of possibilities:

What if the devices were from advanced ET group living on Earth underground, usually incognito; now knowing that the NORAD radar filters are open, they could have allowed some of their devices to be detected and shot down. A change in underground ET policy towards us? Another crazy possibility. Would the formal Government tell us?

SKY WARS: Fake alien invasion psyop being tested on suggestible Americans

Monday, February 13, 2023 by: Mike Adams

U.S. and Canadian Air Force jets are using high-cost missiles to shoot down metallic birthday balloons while claiming they are “defeating” the objects. It’s all part of a massive psyop to try to imply that aliens are invading Earth’s atmosphere and that alien craft are being shot down by modern jet fighters.

Every effort is being made to paint these birthday balloons as mysterious, possibly alien craft. And it’s all ridiculous. For example, the WSJ reports that a “flying object” was shot down over Canada. This object was described as a “small metallic balloon” (i.e. some little boy’s birthday balloon filled with helium) that drifted to 20,000 feet altitude.

Canadian officials were breathless over their amazing military effort to “defeat” a helium-filled birthday balloon. From the WSJ:

A Canadian patrol aircraft is trying to pinpoint the debris from the destroyed object. Ms. Anand said she wouldn’t speculate on the object’s origins. “The importance of this moment should not be underestimated. We identified the object together and we defeated this object together,” Ms. Anand said of the joint U.S.-Canada mission. She added this marked the first time in the history of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or Norad, that jet fighters shot down an object.

That’s a whole lot of hyperventilation over a birthday balloon.

The Russians must be ROFL, knowing that U.S. and Canadian military brass are bragging about shooting down a birthday balloon, using terms like “unknown origins” (because they don’t know which kid released it at his birthday celebration).

Similarly, other media stories — obviously planted as part of a psyop — talk about how the objects show “no visible propulsion system” which is exactly how helium birthday balloons operate, of course.

All helium balloons floating in the atmosphere have “no visible propulsion system.” And they aren’t “flying,” really. They’re floating. So even the WSJ headline is misleading.

Furthermore, the idea that humanity’s pathetic fighter jets could defeat the technology of aliens who possess Faster-Than-Light (FTL) capabilities is absurd. If aliens are actually visiting Earth — which isn’t an unreasonable conjecture — they surely aren’t stupid enough to have their UFOs shot down by the woke military morons of Canada and the Pentagon.

If anything, extraterrestrials would be laughing at Earth’s stupid humans who mutilate their children, murder their babies and have gone so woke that they think 2+2=5.

As we approach World War III, however, it sure is nice to know that the U.S. military is capable of shooting down birthday balloons. Whether that will matter when Russia’s Hyperglide Vehicles deliver nuclear warheads to Washington D.C. is another issue altogether, however. If the U.S. military could shoot down Russia’s rockets, then Russia wouldn’t be able to keep repeatedly striking power grid targets in Ukraine, would they?

The good news is that if America is invaded by birthday balloons, we have an effective national defense system that we can count on. :muscle:

Alaska Shootdown Was PR Stunt https://realrawnews.com/2023/02/alaska-shootdown-was-pr-stunt/

The “object” shot down over Alaskan Airspace on Friday was a USAF “aerial target drone,” not a balloon or extraterrestrial spacecraft, sources in General Eric M. Smith’s office told Real Raw News.

Let's honestly think of what the 400,000 dollars alone could do in Ohio or Turkey. Seriously, the goal has to be to make such a ridiculously incompetent freak show that we will be begging for a totalitarian world fascist regime to control every breath we take. Senator Warns People to 'Lock Your Doors' After Classified Hearing on UFOs

A Louisiana senator has advised citizens to "lock your doors" following a classified briefing to lawmakers on the unidentified objects shot down over the weekend.

Four objects have been shot down over North American airspace since February 4. The first was identified by the Pentagon as a Chinese surveillance balloon, but the U.S. Defense Department has not confirmed the nature of the remaining three objects. Intelligence officials are "considering as a leading explanation that these could be tied to commercial or research entities and benign," the White House said on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media following the briefing, Louisiana Senator John Kennedy said officials had so far been unable to locate the remnants of the three unidentified objects, excluding the spy balloon.
"It's clear to me this is not a recent phenomenon," he told reporters, saying "this has been going on" since at least 2017. Calling for more transparency, he said: "If you are confused, you understand the situation perfectly."

Concluding his comments to the gathered media, Kennedy added: "Lock your doors tonight."

well not confirmed by me, at any rate - probably more BS but who knows?

CONFIRMED: Top Defense Expert -- UFO Shot Down Over Alaska a TIC TAC or Exotic Propulsion Vehicle from China that is Hypersonic, Antigravitic Tech

We've waited all our lives for this official confirmation of what we knew for decades. Limited hangouts set up to distract must contain some true info, and in this case it is a big confirmation of the SSP of China, who likely got all this above top secret info from the US Secret Space Program. The US SSP was testing Tic Tacs against the Aegis tracking system when captured on video by the US Navy. Now they are making their official debut to distract from the Biden catastrophes. I'll take it!

Lyrics;

You and I in a little toy shop
Buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got
Set them free at the break of dawn
'Til one by one, they were gone
Back at base, sparks in the software
Flash the message "Something's out there"
Floating in the summer sky
99 red balloons go by
99 red balloons
Floating in the summer sky
Panic bells, it's red alert
There's something here from somewhere else
The war machine springs to life
Opens up one eager eye
Focusing it on the sky
The 99 red balloons go by
99 Decision Street
99 ministers meet
To worry, worry, super scurry
Call the troops out in a hurry
This is what we've waited for
This is it boys, this is war
The President is on the line
As 99 red balloons go by
99 knights of the air
Ride super high-tech jet fighters
Everyone's a superhero
Everyone's a Captain Kirk
With orders to identify
To clarify and classify
Scrambling the summer sky
99 red balloons go by
As 99 red balloons go by
99 dreams I have had
In every one, a red balloon
It's all over, and I'm standing pretty
In this dust that was a city
If I could find a souvenir
Just to prove the world was here
And here is a red balloon
I think of you, and let it go

Illinois Hobby Club Believes Pentagon Shot Down Their $12 Pico Balloon

After the Pentagon dispatched fighter jets to shoot down unidentified objects on February 10, 11, and 12 utilizing heat-seeking AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles at over $400,000 a pop, President Biden belatedly admitted that they could just be harmless weather balloons

"The intelligence community’s current assessment is that these three objects were most likely balloons tied to private companies, recreation, or research institutions studying weather or conducting other scientific research," Biden said Thursday. But now an Illinois-based hobby group which uses $12 balloons with ham radios for a cheap high-altitude hobby says the object shot down over Yukon Territory on Feb. 11 likely belongs to them. NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden also sees this as the likely scenario...

please tell me the white house did not spend the month of february scrambling jets to fire $400,000 missiles at the local hobby club's TWELVE DOLLAR BALLOON

Yes, distraction with shiny trinkets has a long tradition doesn't it. The lack of creativity is appalling. Think of the absurdity of the whole thing. Hey, I'm going to get a huge white balloon and let it drift into another country to gather intel. It really is quite ridiculous. I will never be able to look at a balloon the same again. I want my trinkets to be shinier.

Are you friggin kidding me. "Lock your doors". OMG, I think it's been pretty well established that all aliens would never cross the line and enter your personal dwelling place if your door is locked. They are very polite in respecting personal space. This is the kind of stuff we are getting for our tax dollars. And the sad thing is , there are people shaking in their boots over this. I may have to go on the neighborhood forum and see what the pulse is on that.

"Large White Balloon" Spotted Near Hawaii

BY TYLER DURDEN
MONDAY, FEB 20, 2023 - 08:58 AM
A number of airborne objects have been shot down this month, including a Chinese surveillance balloon. New reports indicate this balloon fad might not be over.

The Drive reported a large white balloon was spotted by commercial pilots about 600 miles east of the Hawaiian Islands on Monday. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has notified pilots in the area about the sightings of a balloon traveling at an altitude of 40,000 and 50,000 feet.

It seems obvious to me that the balloons are not for "surveillance". In the early 70s after getting out of the military I met another vet who worked at the Pentagon. He said that one thing he could talk about (because it had been made public) was that in the late 60s the US gov had satellites that could tell what brand of cigarettes you were smoking.

That was about 55 years ago! So imagine what they can "surveil" now, given the incredible technology that the secret gov has received from ETs.

One of the objects could well have been a "32-inch stratospheric amateur "pico" balloon that had already circumnavigated the globe 6 times. It adopts a cylindrical shape and is metalized.

It was last tracked over the coast of Alaska on Feb 11, 2023. It's the K9YO balloon. Its price range is from 12 USD to 180 USD. It would have been shot down by a 300,000 USD SideWinder missile. As far as I know, the Northerm Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade (an amateur group of balloon enthusiasts that launched the K9YO) is not pressing charges against the USG as of yet.

Much guess work, mis, dis information and speaking before all the facts were made know. Even the Pentagon and White House briefings added to the speculation.

I've been investigating the military and civil entities responsibility of air defence and safety. Unknowns, unidentifiable objects are a routine event, and considered significant from a defence and safety aspect..there are many reasons why they are unknown. Technology limitations, such has radar discriminations, geographical. locations, weather etc. There is certainly genuine phenomenon here though.

We can assume the balloon has been determined not to have a nuclear payload.
And we can assume it is not for reconnaissance because they have satellites that do that.
So...

What if:

The payload is a bio-chemical weapon?
The payload is an EMP weapon?
The payload is a weapon we have never heard of before?

Then:
Is it a threat?
Is it a mistake?
Or has it been deployed with a purpose?

My advice:
Shoot it down right NOW!
Ask questions and offer speculations after!

My question:
How did we assess and determine the whether or not the balloons were safe to shoot down? There could have been any number of chemical agents dispersed from those altitudes. I imagine that is why they took time to shoot it down the first time.

Chinese Spy Balloon Was Packed With American Tech
Published Feb 10, 2025

The balloon carried technology from at least five US firms

https://www.newsweek.com/chinese-spy-balloon-new-report-american-technology-found-2027189

A Chinese spy balloon that crossed over the United States in 2023 was packed with American technology that could have enabled it to spy on Americans, according to two sources with direct knowledge of a technical analysis conducted by the U.S. military.

The discovery of a satellite communication module, sensors and other tech from at least five American firms underlines the failure of U.S. efforts to restrict exports of technology that could have military uses to main adversary China as well as to countries such as Russia and Iran. It also raises questions over the role of private companies that sell their equipment globally in keeping control over the ultimate users of dual-use technology that can have defense applications as well as civilian uses.

A Chinese patent reviewed by Newsweek describes a communications system for exactly such a balloon as the one that crossed America, based on using a satellite transceiver from a U.S. company that the balloon's controllers in China would use to communicate with it and that would send data back, and that is easily available online.
