I strongly suggest that anyone that relies on city water buy a distiller. One that will at least distill your drinking water and then if you like, add minerals to balance it out. My thoughts are that the same authorities who did nothing to stop pfizer from ruining countless millions is actually seeking to cause damage in the population so no precautions at all are being taken with the vinyl chloride release perpetrated by the federal government, they are just sending people back home.

This is a small capture, but the bottom line is that if chickens are dying 10 miles away in one direction, and other wildlife is dying 10 miles away in the opposite direction,over 280 square miles are toast. Funny, how that works. There are many clues dropped in films and other media. I have said before, many times I don't believe the writers of such a script are aware that they are being inspired to give us clues, or programming or are prophetic to future events when they hit the nail on the head. But it is uncanny. One of the weirdest ones is a series on HBO dealing with a fungal infestation that is parasitic and overwhelms the body and eventually the mind of the individual. Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is less than 40 air miles downwind of this disaster. Assuredly NO ONE living there or even within the city's suburbs will be advised to evacuate or to take ANY precaution. And as already said, there are many farms in the area including the one collective of farms that provides much organic food.

I have great empathy for the people who have already lost and will lose so much over this -- their homes, their livelihoods, their communities, their animals, their own health.

I take my pet each week to an excellent veterinarian whose practice is within 25 miles of East Palestine, downwind. When driving to the vet's practice I always think of the risk of living close to the nuclear power plant that I pass along the way. I didn't think for a moment of fallout from derailment. Who would?

How can it be that there is so much focus these days on COG, COB, etc. yet there was essentially no risk management applied here? A BIG vulnerability. Perhaps a BIG opportunity. Jim Stone has a good point, if not the truth.

The Department of Transportation did not respond to a request for comment on Monday evening. Buttigieg did speak at the National Association of Counties conference on Monday, but while he claimed racial disparities in construction crews, did not address the East Palestine derailment.

The mainstream media spends an enormous amount of time lecturing us about fake environmental issues, but now that one of the greatest environmental catastrophes in U.S. history has occurred they are being strangely quiet about it. What we are witnessing in East Palestine, Ohio is so horrifying that it is truly difficult to put it into words. One hazardous materials specialist is claiming that authorities “basically nuked a town with chemicals so we could get a railroad open”. Unfortunately, that is not an exaggeration at all. When they decided to conduct a “controlled burn” of vinyl chloride from some of the wrecked rail cars, they knew that it would “send phosgene and hydrogen chloride into the air”…

About 50 cars, including 10 carrying hazardous materials, derailed in a fiery crash in East Palestine at about 9pm on Friday, February 3.

Houses were evacuated after vinyl chloride was slowly released from five of those cars. Authorities then ignited the gases for a ‘controlled release’ of the highly flammable, toxic chemicals in a controlled environment, creating a dark plume of smoke.

Officials warned the controlled burn would send phosgene and hydrogen chloride into the air. Phosgene is a highly toxic, colorless gas with a strong odor that can cause vomiting and breathing trouble and was used as a weapon in World War I.

Read that last sentence again.

Phosgene was literally used as a chemical weapon during World War I, and now countless people living in Ohio and Pennsylvania will be breathing it in for the foreseeable future.

In essence, they have unleashed a weapon of mass destruction on their own people.

It turns out that vinyl chloride has also been proven to cause “increased risk of liver cancer and other cancers”…

Vinyl chloride is associated with increased risk of liver cancer and other cancers, according to the federal government’s National Cancer Institute.

The effect was studied in PVC pipe makers, who breathed in vinyl chloride and developed rare liver cancers, said Ruth Lunn, who studies carcinogens at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

So how many people are ultimately going to get cancer and die because of this disaster?

On top of everything else, we are now being told that “ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylhexyl acrylate and isobutylene” were also being transported in some of the rail cars that derailed…

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sent a letter to Norfolk Southern stating that ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylhexyl acrylate and isobutylene were also in the rail cars that were derailed, breached and/or on fire.

Caggiano says ethylhexyl acrylate is especially worrisome. He says it’s a carcinogen and contact with it can cause burning and irritation in the skin and eyes. Breathing it in can irritate the nose and throat and cause coughing and shortness of breath.

Nobody should be anywhere near this wreck.

But authorities are telling residents of East Palestine that it is perfectly safe to return to their homes and that there is absolutely nothing to be concerned about.

A massive cover up of epic proportions is in progress, and only a few brave leaders such as Marjorie Taylor Greene are speaking out about this…

Perhaps they think that because most of the people that live in East Palestine are poor they can get away with treating them like dirt.

And that may have worked in the past.

But now we live in the age of social media, and a lot of Americans want to make sure that this catastrophe will never be forgotten.

Because the truth is that these chemicals are going to be affecting the health of local residents for decades.

One hazardous materials specialist raised a lot of eyebrows when he said that authorities “basically nuked a town with chemicals so we could get a railroad open”…

Sil Caggiano, a hazardous materials specialist and former fire department chief, said he was ‘surprised’ residents were allowed to return home so quickly before all of their homes were tested.

‘I would’ve far rather they did all the testing [first],’ he said. ‘There’s a lot of what ifs, and we’re going to be looking at this thing 5, 10, 15, 20 years down the line and wondering, ‘Gee, cancer clusters could pop up, you know, well water could go bad.’

He added: ‘We basically nuked a town with chemicals so we could get a railroad open.’

So many people are going to die because of this.

And it is being reported that large numbers of chickens and fish have already died after being exposed to the chemicals…

CBS Pittsburgh reported that hundreds of fish have turned up dead in Leslie Run, approximately five miles away from the site of the derailment. While the EPA has acknowledged that fish are dying, it stressed that well water remains safe to drink.

Amanda Breshears, who lives 10 miles away from East Palestine, said upon going to feed her hens and rooster days after the derailment, she found them all lifeless.

“My video camera footage shows my chickens were perfectly fine before they started this burn, and as soon as they started the burn, my chickens slowed down and they died,” she told WKBN. “If it can do this to chickens in one night, imagine what it’s going to do to us in 20 years.”

What a nightmare.

And this nightmare is not going to end any time soon.

Shockingly, a movie about this exact type of disaster in this exact area of Ohio was released late last year… 'White Noise' on Netflix.

In the Defender interview which Ben provided you could see a woman being interviewed having a difficult time breathing. I have said this before but you can buy a decent distillers that will produce at least enough for drinking starting at 70.00 and going up. I noticed the one I bought about 6 months ago if definitely pricier. Store it in glass and I actually write words on my stored water. Remember water carries information. This water exposed to this is so traumatized as well as polluted. I know I sound like an extreme nut but water is the baseline of what we are. It is connected to everything. I was talking to a buddy earlier. We were talking about the Ohio train catastrophe.

I told him how the folks in the Fallout from the chemical cloud and the water supply that has been poisoned are going to suffer the same effects and life expectancy as those who have taken the covid-19 vaccine.

I believe what you are saying is true, especially about the Trump supporters. I find it amazing how short-sighted it is to seek revenge. This is a good report in my opinion. His take (16:30) corresponds with what a local told me last week that a two-mile long train may very well lack the needed responsiveness when problems occur while carrying highly dangerous cargo. This is just one issue, of course.

Of a little coincidence regarding safety decisions, I found myself unexpectedly paying a lot of cash today to replace all rotors on my 2-year-old car. The service person remarked that the original rotors aren't of the quality of earlier years where griding down the bad one was an option. It's easy to speculate that the rotors are now made of cheaper, lighter weight to meet the fuel economy standards.

My first job out of college was as a computer programmer at Norfolk Southern Railroad, then Southern Railroad before the merger with the Norfolk and Western Railway in 1982.

I hated the company's top management then, though not as much as I do right now.

19th century management culture was strong on the operations side, and folks were paid really well so they could be abused and not find work elsewhere for similar money. (Though I did in as few years as possible).

While I was there, they paid their vice-president millions of dollars to retire after he was caught stealing from the employee pension fund, rather than charge or punish him.

It does not surprise me that this company is behaving the way it is now towards this community they have poisoned.

We're going to see these types of events continue to happen and escalate, the crippling of transportation methods and destruction of materials necessary for manufacturing consumer goods.
Let's not forget all the food and meat processing plants that have mysteriously burnt to the ground, the culling of different livestock types, the lack of fertilizer to grow crops, drugging and poisoning of the global food supply, the extreme lack of gas and oil production, inflation getting out of control, recent global population lock downs, forced vaccines and threats of new pandemics etc etc etc., I could go on and on!

I once lived for quite a long time in a small, remote mountain railroad town. Burlington Northern crashed many trains up there mostly due to drunk engineers failing to pay attention. Some of these were major derailments. For decades there was no oversight.

I did some REALLY rough calculations.

2 grams of vinyl chloride spread out evenly in a cubic kilometer is enough to pass the threshold that causes immediate health problems (acute threshold)

My source for that is an old hazardous materials manual, not the CDC's new update.
453,000,000 grams were spilled but a large portion of this went through a chemical reaction when they detonated the spill.

So my calculations are essentially useless. But they do let you know just how BAD this vinyl chloride stuff actually is.

I will add that it is HIGHLY SUSPECT that the vinyl chloride toxicology profile was updated in January 2023 for the first time in 17 years...

West: 400 miles west to Lafayette (probably further)
North: 1200 miles north up to Durham, Canada;
East: 1200 miles east to NYC and Boston today more
South: 800 miles southwest to Kentucky so far

Vinyl chloride is water-soluble, takes months to degrade in soil or water (the Camp Lejeune spill was just a few thousand gallons), boils at 8F, and its metabolites absolutely maul DNA: safe exposures are considered to be in the parts per billion (“Standards”), and we’re talking about parts per million exposure likely coming for everybody east of the Mississippi.

There will likely be some isolated parts of the eastern United States that escape contamination. However, I sure as hell would not want to wait around to find out which ones will be passed over.

There are 250 million people living to the east of the Mississippi River, and considering the rate at which it is progressively moving south with the water and east on the winds, every single person on the entire eastern seaboard may have only a few more days to leave before they are exposed to a lethal concentration of vinyl chloride. Everybody in the areas which have received acid rain have already been exposed, and will likely develop extensive cancers over the coming few months.

I will just say:

If you live anywhere east of the Mississippi River - in my humble opinion - LEAVE.

If the train was traveling at 25-30 mph, then the fire would have had to have been burning for some 40-45 minutes or more. That fits with the time of the derailment being at around 9:00 pm.

I read somewhere that the rail car was burning like that for 20 miles or so before the actual derailment. Seems if it was that hot on an axel that it would of softened a lot of metal and broke apart a lot quicker than 20 or so miles later (but I'm no train axel/bearing expert). It looks more like the rail car itself was burning up higher than an axel. The tank itself looked to be burning or something on it that was flammable was burning. I find it odd (if true to be a 20 mile long fire burning)) that the fire wasn't seen and reported before the train derailed. The whole ordeal just seems weird, this seems more like sabotage IMO.

The railroads in the USA have what are called 'Defect Detectors' that check for things as the train passes over them. One of the things they check for is overheated wheel bearings and brakes. There are thousands of these D.D.'s all across the rail system in the US.


One of these DD's is located right in the center of East Palestine Ohio. There is another located approximately 30 or 40 miles both to the east and west of East Palestine. But as a condition of receiving the money, I had to sign a statement which precluded me from ever seeking money from the Government over the events of 9/11 again. Basically, I was paid a $5,000 settlement to go away, which might be a principal purpose of FEMA. The residents of East Palestine are being coached not to sign such a statement, so I guess FEMA has no interest in dealing with them.

Police sources: 18-inch pipe bomb found behind Holmesburg church, near railroad tracks

HOLMESBURG - Philadelphia police are investigating after a pipe bomb was reportedly discovered behind a church in Holmesburg.

Philadelphia police sources tell FOX 29 an 18-inch pipe bomb was found Sunday, just after 1:30 p.m., behind St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, on the 8500 block of Frankford Avenue, in Philadelphia's Holmesburg section.

Officials say a passerby found the pipe bomb, and noted it was a PVC pipe with capped ends and black powder on it.

Police shut down Frankford Ave., between Benson and Blakiston while the Philadelphia Police Bomb Squad was called to the scene.

The bomb squad safely took the pipe bomb out of harm’s way.

No further details were released in the incident.

I don’t know how to transfer a video. According to this woman in California, a train that is a few miles long is sitting on tracks with chemicals on it. The nearby ranchers don’t know what this is. She says it’s a few miles away from San Francisco’s water supply. I think it’s something to keep an eye on.

If something happens we will come to a far better understanding of the nature of the derailment of toxic poison into the environment at strategic areas to do maximum damage. I would hope that we can keep this video documented. I have a very, very strong feeling that this may become very significant. The other possibility is that revealing this before any "planned demolition" might possibly stop it from happening. That would be wonderful.. I readily admit that our infrastructure is rapidly and intentionally being allowed to deteriorate and that definitely can play a role in derailments.

As most readers here know, I very seldom do 'op-ed' pieces, where I ramble on about some contemporary story. I tend to avoid them because I suspect most people who are regular readers here know more or less what I think about such things anyway, and don't need any reinforcement.

But after watching this carnival develop more, I've reinvested in my circus peanut futures, and have decided to rant about it anyway, because I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm livid.

By now everyone has heard about that freight train derailment in the American state of Ohio. And by now most readers here, I assume, have heard just about every possible theory about who caused it and why.

It is, I suppose, a sign of our times and cultural degradation that many people now view such events not as 'accidents' but as the result of deliberate sabotage and covert action, or at the very least, the result of deliberate government and/or corporate inaction. It certainly is the case with the derailment. There are theories ranging the whole gamut, from ideas about deliberately polluting and poisoning the water table, to disaster capitalism to force nearby Amish farmers to sell out and buy their land on the cheap, to more elaborate theories about computer chip production facilities, and so on. In other words, cultural perceptions have so shifted that when such events do occur, a significant portion of the population no longer first thinks of them as accidents, but as manifestations of sinister purpose and planning.

You can count me in that group, and it's very easy to see why people have come to such conclusions.

The vinyl chloride spill at Camp Lejeune was small in comparison to what happened this month in Ohio – but it still poisoned over a million people and it took decades for the effects to materialize.

A new federal lawsuit against Norfolk Southern alleges that 1.1 million pounds of vinyl chloride was spilled into the local environment.

The vinyl chloride metabolite, chloroethylene oxide attacks human DNA and can take years to start showing up as cancers and other disease. There’s arguably no safe dose for exposure.

Leading expert in the study of vinyl chloride, Dr Julianne Beier agrees and says that nobody should be drinking the local water. Five people who worked for an environmental response consulting firm were killed in a plane crash Wednesday in Little Rock, Arkansas, while on their way to a metal factory explosion site in Ohio, officials said.

The plane was carrying employees of the Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health when it took off from Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock around noon Wednesday, according to the firm and the Federal Aviation Administration.

The employees were headed to John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Ohio to respond to a fatal explosion at a metal factory, a spokesperson for CTEH told CNN in an email.

The twin-engine plane crashed and burst into flames shortly after takeoff near the Little Rock airport, the National Transportation Safety Board told CNN in an emailed statement.

“We are incredibly saddened to report the loss of our Little Rock colleagues,” Dr. Paul Nony, senior vice president of CTEH, said in a statement. “We ask everyone to keep the families of those lost and the entire CTEH team in their thoughts and prayers.”

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the NTSB. Investigators are expected to arrive at the scene Thursday.

Yes, I agree with the theory. When bad things happen in an area, they will be happy to re-locate you into a 15 minute city.

Looking at the bigger picture you can see how the corrupt controllers are manipulating things. They are bringing into the country all types of people who will help in committing damage to the land/country. Imagine a person raised in a southern country that has been messed up by American companies and government officials. This person grows up hating the U.S. Then they get a chance for revenge by some organization that pays them to help destroy it from within.

Another point for the chemical damage from the train - for the poor people caught in the toxic areas will their health issue be blamed on the jab or the train disaster. I can see people making claims against the train company only to have TPTB say "It's not us, it was the vax." And vice-versa. Interestingly I heard through a news story that the negative effects on humans of the spilled and burned chemicals could take up to 5 years before showing damage.

It is becoming clear that the governments and their organizations (3 letter agencies for example) are not helping the people. Even the military is being slowly eroded. (For example how many new pilots will survive long enough to fill the seats of all of the aircraft?)

We face a difficult task ahead of us - we must continue to find ways to educate the public to be able to push back on all governments. Politicians and the like who are getting into their careers must devise a way to avoid being blackmailed and manipulated. I know people who have tried to work in some of these positions who came in with a good heart and determined mind to help people - only to find themselves up against a wall of corruption where by they had to either join forces with the corruption or quit their jobs. Obviously those I know quit their jobs.

February 3, 2023, a train carrying toxic chemicals derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, a town near the Ohio-Pennsylvania border. In total, 38 rail cars derailed, and a massive fire that broke out damaged an additional 12 cars.1

While no immediate fatalities or injuries were reported, the hazardous materials released from the cars — and concerns over a potential explosion — prompted evacuations from the area. Now residents are wondering if it's really safe to return to their homes, or whether their long-term health, as well as their air, water and soil, has been permanently affected.

Derailed Cars Carried Vinyl Chloride and Other Toxins
The train, operated by Norfolk Southern, included 20 cars carrying hazardous materials. Eleven of them derailed.2 The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) published a list of the contents of the 11 cars, which included vinyl chloride.3

A flammable gas carried on five of the cars, vinyl chloride is used to make hard plastic resin and is found in many consumer products, from credit cards and furniture to plastic PVC piping.4 Inhaling vinyl chloride could lead to life-threatening respiratory issues.5 When it breaks down in the air or burns, it can lead to the creation of hydrogen chloride, a respiratory irritant, and phosgene, which was used as a deadly poison gas in World War I.6

It's also carcinogenic. According to the National Cancer Institute, "Vinyl chloride exposure is associated with an increased risk of a rare form of liver cancer (hepatic angiosarcoma), as well as primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma), brain and lung cancers, lymphoma and leukemia."

In addition to outdoor air contamination, if vinyl chloride contaminates a water supply, it can enter household air if that water is used for showering, cooking or laundry.7 February 13, 2023, Congressman Jamaal Bowman tweeted:8

"Nearly 1 million pounds of vinyl chloride were on this train. Now, the EPA has confirmed it's entered the Ohio River basin which is home to 25 million people. This is one of the deadliest environmental emergencies in decades and no one is talking about it."

Other toxic chemicals on the derailed train cars include:9

Butyl acrylate — This flammable liquid is dangerous if swallowed and can irritate the respiratory system, skin and eyes. It poses a "serious" health hazard and can cause breathing difficulties.
Ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (2-butoxy ethanol) — This chemical, used in paint strippers and household cleaners, can cause "serious or irreversible" chronic health effects, including liver toxicity and damage to the eyes, skin, kidneys and blood.
Ethylhexyl acrylate — This potential carcinogen is used to make plastics and protective coatings. Inhalation can lead to convulsions, shortness of breath and a buildup of fluid in the lungs.
Isobutylene — This gas is used to make rubber for tires and inner tubes. It can cause dizziness and unconsciousness if inhaled, along with skin and eye irritation.
Benzene — This carcinogen also causes genetic mutations. Exposure can lead to coma, irregular heartbeat and damage to blood cells. While the train wasn't carrying benzene when it derailed, residues existed because two empty cars had previously carried the toxic chemical.
Chemical Profile for Vinyl Chloride Just Updated — After 17 Years

In a strange turn of events, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, released an updated toxicological profile for vinyl chloride in January 2023. The last time the profile was updated was in 2006 — 17 years ago.10

One change observed so far significantly increased the level of exposure causing heart damage. Strange Sounds11 revealed the 2006 version, archived via the Wayback Machine,12 states, "At high concentrations (>30,000 ppm), vinyl chloride was been [sic] shown to sensitize the heart to epinephrine, resulting in cardiac arrhythmias in dogs."

The 2023 version has a significantly higher limit, stating, "At high concentrations (>150,000 ppm), vinyl chloride was shown to sensitize the heart to epinephrine, resulting in cardiac arrhythmias in dogs."13

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also recently modified its vinyl chloride webpage, removing sections titled, "How can vinyl chloride affect children?" and "Has the federal government made recommendations to protect human health?"14 Reportedly, the section related to children included the following before it was removed:15

"It has not been proven that vinyl chloride causes birth defects in humans, but studies in animals suggest that vinyl chloride might affect growth and development. Animal studies also suggest that infants and young children might be more susceptible than adults to vinyl chloride-induced cancer."

Many are now questioning the curious timing of the updates. "I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but why did the CDC update their profile for vinyl chloride 11 DAYS before the train crash in Ohio?" James Bradley tweeted.16,17

Reports of Dead Animals, Fish Near Derailment
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stopped monitoring the community's outdoor air for phosgene and hydrogen chloride February 13, stating, "After the fire was extinguished on February 8, the threat of vinyl chloride fire producing phosgene and hydrogen chloride no longer exists."18 It continues to monitor for "other chemicals of concern," however.

It's also screening indoor air in homes nearby, and to date states it has "no detections of vinyl chloride or hydrogen chloride." But even as officials claim it's safe for residents to return to their homes, signs suggest otherwise.

Due to chemicals spilled from the train, an estimated 3,500 fish were killed in an area spanning 7.5 miles of streams, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Residents have also reported hens and roosters dying, along with persistent coughs, sore throats, burning eyes and a lingering odor in the air.19

Residents have also reported soot on their homes and vehicles, and are expressing concerns over how to clean it since it could be contaminated.20 After the derailment, crews conducted a controlled burn, igniting the vinyl chloride in an attempt to get rid of it. Andrew Whelton, a professor of environmental and ecological engineering at Purdue University, told NBC News this may have created more problems, including chemicals the EPA isn't testing for.

"When they combusted the materials, they created other chemicals. The question is what did they create?" he said.21Meanwhile, February 10, the EPA stated in a letter to Norfolk Southern that hazardous materials "continue to be released to the air, surface soils, and surface waters."22

Residents File Lawsuits
Lawsuits have begun to roll in from business owners and residents against Norfolk Southern. According to reporter Julie Grant, speaking with NPR, "They say the company was negligent, and one thing they want is the company to fund court-supervised medical screenings for serious illnesses that may be caused by exposure to those chemicals."23 In addition to air pollution, the water supply may also be tainted. Grant explained:24

"The U.S. EPA said it did find some of the chemicals in nearby creeks and streams. State regulators confirm that fish have been killed, but they said the area's drinking water is supplied by groundwater, so it would take longer for these chemicals to move underground if that were to happen.

Norfolk Southern released a remediation plan, which lists a number of ways it plans to continue to monitor and clean up the site, including installing wells to monitor the groundwater. That's at the site. It's also near the Ohio River, which is a major drinking water source. And at least one company that's supplied by the river says it's looking at an alternative water source in case that's needed."

In a video posted by Democracy Now!, Emily Wright, a resident of Columbiana County in Ohio, a few miles from the derailment, called the derailment a "chemically-driven environmental nightmare."25 Initially, she says only those within one mile of the derailment were evacuated, even as the train kept burning overnight and into the next day.

"They kept saying the same thing over and over again in the media and in the press conferences. 'There's no toxins in the air … don't worry,'" she said. But about 48 hours after the derailment, she received an alert on her phone that another explosion had occurred and the fire was out of control.26

At the time of the "controlled" burn, high wind gusts were forecasted. The resulting mushroom cloud was caught by winds, traveling over four to five counties in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In her home just a few miles away, Wright and her family experienced nausea, diarrhea and breathing difficulties.

They considered leaving, but then a shelter-in-place order was issued. At the same time, officials continued to state this was only out of an "abundance of caution," and there were "no toxins in the air." "From day one, we've been fed what wasn't the truth," Wright said.27

While mainstream media have also downplayed the seriousness of the derailment, videos have spread on social media highlighting the potential disastrous effects28 that could come from the approximately million pounds of toxic vinyl chloride that "spilled on the ground, boiled off into the air and then caught fire," leading to hydrogen chloride as a byproduct. This then turns into hydrochloric acid in the atmosphere, with further unknown effects.29

Next Train Derailment 'Could Be Cataclysmic'
The East Palestine derailment serves as a wake-up call to potential disaster looming on U.S. railways. Speaking with The Guardian, Ron Kaminkow, an Amtrak locomotive engineer and secretary for the Railroad Workers United, said, "The Palestine wreck is the tip of the iceberg and a red flag. If something is not done, then it's going to get worse, and the next derailment could be cataclysmic."30

Every day, about 12,000 rail cars transporting toxic chemicals travel through cities across the U.S. Annually, 4.5 million tons of hazardous materials are shipped by trains in the U.S.31 The Guardian pointed out the potential for more deadly freight rail derailments is high:32

"The latest accident comes after 47 people were killed in the town of Lac-Megantic, Quebec, in 2013 when a runaway train exploded. In February 2020, a crude oil train derailed and exploded outside Guernsey, Saskatchewan, and an ethanol train in Kentucky derailed and burst into flames a week later.

The Pittsburgh region alone has seen eight train derailments over the last five years, according to the public health advocacy group Rail Pollution Protection Pittsburgh (RPPP), and about 1,700 annually occur nationally. The causes of the Pittsburgh accidents highlight the myriad ways in which things can go wrong.

A crack in a track ignored by rail companies caused a 2018 derailment, while another train hit a dump truck at a crossing with inadequate safety equipment. A broken axle on a train car is thought to be the source of the East Palestine accident."

Liquified natural gas (LNG) may pose a particularly significant concern. In 2020, the U.S. Department of Transportation approved rail transport of LNG with no extra safety precautions, even though an accident could be catastrophic. In a letter to the U.S. Department of Transportation opposing the rule change, environmental group Earth Justice wrote:33,34

"The amount of energy contained in LNG is quite alarming. One gallon of LNG has 0.89975 therms of energy. One DOT‐113 tank car has a capacity of approximately 30,000 gallons, meaning that there would be approximately 27,000 therms worth of energy per tank car.

With this much LNG per tank car, it would only take 22 tank cars to hold the equivalent energy of the Hiroshima bomb.55 A unit train of 110 LNG tank cars would thus have five‐times the energy of the Hiroshima bomb."

Is Corporate Greed to Blame?
Speaking with Democracy Now!, Ross Grooters, a locomotive engineer and cochair of Railroad Workers United, stated:35

"There are deep systemic problems with the freight railroads right now, and those need to be addressed for us to have some sort of normal response to events like this. Until we get at the root causes of the safety issues in the freight rail system in this country, it's … going to occur again … it's just a matter of when and where."

Grooters blames corporate greed, including cutbacks to staffing, from companies making "obscene amounts of money," and precision scheduled railroading, which he says is designed to maximize profits, not safety. "You're cutting to the bone the amount of people doing the job. So you have fewer people doing a lot more work, faster."

At the same time, cutbacks have been made on the maintenance of cars, locomotives and tracks, while trains are becoming increasingly long and heavy, raising the chances of derailment.

"Lastly, you have the railroads themselves," Grooters says, "which are fighting any kind of regulation, whether it be train control systems that help manage the signal system or the lobbying efforts that we saw to kill electronic braking, which can make for safer operations and a quicker stop should a derailment like this occur."36

Norfolk Southern, in fact, has paid $70 million in safety violations since 2000, along with $21 million in environmental violations.37 As it stands, an estimated 25 million Americans live on an oil train blast zone38 and could potentially be killed if one of these "bomb trains" derails in their town.

Regarding the toxic Ohio train derailment, Julia Rock, investigative reporter with The Lever, explained, "This is the result of efforts by the railroad industry to ensure that they do not have to retrofit trains carrying hazardous materials and crude oil with safety features."39 "

The Norfolk Southern destination was just across the state line in Conway, Pennsylvania, located in Beaver County adjoining East Palestine’s Columbiana County. But that was not the end of journey. The Conway Rail Yard, operated by Norfolk Southern for more than a century, is a massive switching facility, the largest in the USA until the 1980s.

Conway adjoins the Ohio River, and therefore has no major chemical plant or waste-disposal facility to accept tankers with a 30,000 gallon capacity. Therefore, it is safe to conclude the suspect five tankers along with several other chemical haulers were at the rear of the train for the purpose of decoupling and route transfer toward a completely different direction from the boxcars filled with foodstuffs from the upper Mississippi region heading to warehouses near major eastern cities.

I told you so! This was something I nailed totally accurately from the beginning, when no one else was reporting it. If you want to read today's news, go back to what I posted weeks ago. It had to play out that way, it had to. And I am not going to repeat myself by saying what is happening now.

One thing I did not know weeks ago however, was that this attack was planned at least 8 months ago and it is easily proven. TimTruth found something absolutely damning - that 8 months ago a highly flammable railcar was parked on a side spur and left to sit exactly where the derailment happened and it went up in flames when the government intentionally lit the fires. The derailment was not a crash and burn, it was a crash with one car leaking and no flames at all until our own government intentionally blew up ALL the railcars that had the toxic stuff, PLUS lit the railcar that had been parked there for 8 months and was not on any cargo manifest. What was in it, and why on earth did the government light that one on fire too? It was still sitting there fine, nothing hit it at all but it was close enough to the derailment to look like it was part of it.

Additionally, that car was parked immediately by drain pipes that took the leaking materials and dumped them straight into a nearby reservoir that drained into waterways that led all the way to the mississippi, thus making the disaster exponentially worse. That did not happen by chance, those were the only such drain pipes for miles and miles, and they were right in the middle of the action and that car was parked perfectly aligned with them. There's no way that was coincidence

I find the way TimTruth did this video to be extremely annoying, however, it is a blockbuster anyway. You only need to watch 1 minute of this to get all the info, at least he dumped it all in the beginning. Another Train Derailment - Ohio hazmat, emergency crews respond to a train derailment near Springfield

A train derailed in Clark County, Ohio, Saturday evening, Fox News Digital has confirmed.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, emergency personnel and hazmat crews responded to the train derailment on State Route 41 and Gateway Boulevard near the Clark County Fairgrounds at about 5 p.m.

It is not known if the train was carrying any freight at the time of the derailment. The Clark County Sheriff's Office confirmed the train was not a passenger train.

At 7 p.m. Saturday, the Clark County Emergency Management Agency asked residents within a 1,000 feet of the train derailment to shelter in place "out of an abundance of caution," according to a post on the Clark County government Facebook page.

The State Highway Patrol said roads are closed surrounding the derailment site. Officials are urging residents to seek alternative routes.

Saturday's derailment comes just over one month after a Norfolk Southern train with 50 rail cars, 10 of which were carrying vinyl chloride, derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, Feb. 3.

That derailment caused hazardous chemicals to spill onto the ground and sent a plume of smoke into the air.

Whilst Jim Stone proclaims the Govt did this I found myself speculating along other avenues. Yes it could have been internal, but unlikely the White House type despite the fact they are all card-carrying psyvcho's; more umbrella black-ops type thing, CIA rogue department etc.

I considered that other countries most assuredly have deep operatives also, (ie: Russia, China, Israel and quite a few more). If, as hypothesised elsewhere that these chemicals were to be used in illegal chemical weapons further down the track and at a different location, is it not conceivable that other parties discovered this and prevented it happening. He told them about the open politicization and criminality inside of the Department under Pete Buttigieg. The Department of Transportation was cripplingly slow to respond to the tragedy in East Palestine. DOT employees are humiliated by this and they know why it happened.

The lack of urgency in East Palestine was purely political, based on the tragedy having occurred in a Red State and not a Blue State. Essentially, the Biden Administration viewed the toxic train derailment as less important because of how these people vote. Moreover, they learned the Department of Transportation allocates funding based purely on politics. If the state is Blue, it will get priority. Red states get ignored.

The Department of Transportation prioritizes servitude to union jobs over safety; holding back technology that might have prevented the train crash in East Palestine and lowering regulations to appease union paymasters.

The mission of the DOT has become hyper-politicized. It’s making career appointees very nervous. This hyper-politicization comes from the top. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is not well-liked in the building, due to his absentee, weak, politically- ambitious leadership.

Under Buttigieg, morale is critically low inside of the Department of Transportation. It’s in chaos. It is an empty building with employees looking for the door.

Benny thinks Republicans should immediately begin to subpoena people from inside of the Department of Transportation, because clearly, they’re covering up something here and it’s very, very bad.

BENNY: Yo, what’s up, Guys it’s Benny. What happens when your practical joke actually ends up uncovering a massive bombshell news story?

Earlier this week, we staged a fake water station in front of the Department of Transportation in Washington DC. We gave out water bottles. These water bottles were from Whole Foods. The joke was that they were from East Palestine, the tap water that the Department of Transportation poisoned.

We wanted to see what people’s reaction would be to being offered East Palestine water. Now, as we were filming the reactions and the security guards were pushing us away from the building, a news story dropped directly into our lap and all it took was a bottle of water.

BENNY: Yeah, they won’t let me stand in front of the building.

He shows up, like, if you have a party or something, then what they do is they come around and they want to make sure there’s enough people in the office that day so that he has people to greet. It’s all an elaborate production.

BENNY: Wow. Unbelievable.

WHISTLEBLOWER: This building’s three quarters empty.

BENNY: These Federal Government buildings are all empty. Yeah, oh that’s exactly right. Man, I’ve lived in DC for a long time and I’m aware. You walk through, it’s like a ghost town.

WHISTLEBLOWER: It’s embarrassing. I’m in Federal Railroad and nobody panicked [about the East Palestine train derailment]. There was no scramble. It’s like, “Dude why aren’t we taking this seriously?”

BENNY: Yo, I got to tell you, we went there, you know like right away and it was bad.

WHISTLEBLOWER: I’m sure it is.

BENNY: The eyes were stinging and the mouth was stinging and we were seeing these little kids. I’m like, Man, this sucks! And I don’t care where you come from politically, no kids should live like that. Even like conservatives, a lot of Republicans were like, “Where’s the Federal Government?”

WHISTLEBLOWER: I’m now on a project for handing out money. We’re supposed to be subjective or objective. They’ll step in, “Oh, we want this project,” because it’s a Blue State. So, no matter how bad it is, they appoint these leaders of each group and then they make sure the money will be directed. That’s how it works.

BENNY: That it goes to a Blue State, not a Red State?

WHISTLEBLOWER: Right.

BENNY: So, you think this was politically-motivated in East Palestine?

WHISTLEBLOWER: It was.

CUT BACK TO THE STUDIO:

BENNY: It was at this point that we couldn’t believe our ears. The Department of Transportation allocates money based on Red States or Blue States; that they straight-up decided not to help East Palestine because of their political affiliation? This was a county, of course, that voted for Trump by 70%, so this was politically-motivated! And you have that directly from inside of the building. This is shocking stuff but ladies and gentlemen, this Department of Transportation employee wasn’t done, yet. No, no, no. The worst is yet to come.

WHISTLEBLOWER: Right away, they’re quick to blame the railroad. The railroad did everything right.

BENNY: It’s the government that told them to blow it up!

WHISTLEBLOWER: I don’t know if you know this but years ago, they made a big fuss about trains carrying these chemicals that go through these urban areas. Now, they re-route them through all these little towns. A lot of people, the press doesn’t bring any of this up, but I was here 20 years. I know this. They made it a point to re-route these trains. So, all these little towns…they shaft these little towns. These trains go rolling through. And yet, they kill pipelines…

I’ll tell you this. So, you didn’t hear this from me, OK? Within in the office, they’re saying derailments are down 15% since COVID, but we know derailments are up. They’re trying to paint that picture, so as not to bring the harsh light. If you normalize it, there were less railroads running during COVID. But they’re just looking at the total. There were fewer freight trains running, because of supply issues. So they’re trying to say, “Derailments are down, don’t look at us!” But actually, we think derailments are up.

BENNY: They’re going off the COVID numbers.

WHISTLEBLOWER: Correct. If you normalize that, actually, the number per per mile is up.

BENNY: That’s crazy.

WHISTLEBLOWER: And then, Pete [Buttigieg] was saying, “Oh, look they didn’t have the brakes! Trump killed this break rule!” The brake rule would not have been applicable, here. Everybody has said that.

BENNY: So, it’s political. And now, they’re just trying to cover their asses. Wow.

WHISTLEBLOWER: NS [Norfolk Southern] complied with everything. That’s what I hear.

BENNY: What blows me away, as someone who’s not – I don’t consider myself particularly intelligent – is that these people, look at this, they say they’re environmentalists, right? But they ignore the one of the largest man-made environmental catastrophes.

WHISTLEBLOWER: And you know, you have the Alaska pipeline. I see pictures. Alaska looks beautiful. I don’t see a problem. Who killed that pipeline? But these trains are rolling through Middle America, carrying all kinds of sh*t. They just don’t care.

BENNY: Those people don’t have any political power. They don’t have any lobbyists.

WHISTLEBLOWER: Right. They’re the deplorables.

BENNY: That’s right. They don’t write press releases.

WHISTLEBLOWER: Here’s another one. So, twice weekly, the Regulation requires a human being to walk the tracks or ride a vehicle over the track and look for defects. That’s the Regulation. So the railroads, about three years ago said, “Hey, you know we can do that better with automatic inspection systems; computers on vehicles. They measure, they shoot laser beams. It’s a fact, they capture information that’s better. This administration put a hold on all that, because it takes away union jobs.

So now, it’s coming out that they wouldn’t have this derailment, maybe – if it had been track-caused – maybe, an automatic system would have found that, versus human eyes. Probably. That’s how they do everything. This administration is, uh, everything’s for the labor unions. I can’t make it up.

BENNY: Dude!

WHISTLEBLOWER: I can tell you this unofficially, but that’s how it is.

BENNY: Man! Listen, there there are people who still believe in the mission and it gets destroyed by the ambitions of bad people.

WHISTLEBLOWER: People are quitting left and right. People are leaving as soon as they can.

BENNY: Really? Wow. Wow.

WHISTLEBLOWER: And we don’t have a lot of money. I see that the government’s printed up a lot of money. We hand out money. It’s like, what are we doing? Why are we handing these people, these corporations money?

BENNY: I thought you were supposed to have an infrastructure bill or something, right? Trillion bucks.

Lawmakers Introduce Bipartisan Rail Safety Bill Hours After Another Derailment

"Rep. Bill Johnson (R-Ohio), co-sponsor Rep. Emilia Sykes (D-Ohio), and other Ohio U.S. representatives introduced the Reducing Accidents in Locomotives (RAIL) Act at a March 30 press conference hours after a BNSF Railway train carrying ethanol derailed and caught fire in Raymond, Minnesota.

Residents near the crash site were evacuated. No injuries were reported, and the derailment’s cause is under investigation, BNSF reported.

“This is all timely,” Johnson said, noting the Minnesota derailment. “So what we’re talking about here today is very, very important.”
The RAIL Act was announced in the aftermath of Norfolk Southern’s toxic train derailment on Feb. 3 in East Palestine, Ohio, a village of about 4,700 residents a mile from the Pennsylvania border.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) reported that 11 of the 38 cars that derailed contained hazardous chemicals.

Residents in East Palestine and surrounding communities were given an evacuation order by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro before officials executed a burn and release to reduce the chance of an explosion.

On Feb. 8, DeWine held a press conference in East Palestine, lifting the order and telling residents it was safe to return to their homes.

Since then, though state and federal agencies have said that testing shows the air and water are safe, many residents have reported headaches, nausea, burning eyes, rashes, and other ailments.

Piles of contaminated soil have accumulated around the derailment site.

‘Safety Is Crucial’
The district Johnson represents includes East Palestine.

“Americans from every corner of the nation are understandably concerned about the safety and the accountability of our nation’s rail systems,” Johnson said.

“Safety is crucial, and there are several steps Congress can take right now to keep our communities safe and better prevent a disaster like this from ever occurring in another community.

“The RAIL Act makes important and pragmatic changes to the way our nation’s rail industry operates, ensuring that our families, friends, and neighbors are kept safe.”

Six Republicans and five Democrats from Ohio’s congressional delegation co-sponsored the legislation.

“Public safety transcends politics and district boundaries. And rail safety is not a partisan issue. It is a human issue,” Sykes said at the press conference.

Sykes added that the RAIL Act will give Americans “peace of mind” that trains “transporting hazardous materials or any other goods” will operate safely.

The bill will also hold rail corporations accountable, Sykes said.

The legislation would mandate new rail safety measures and charge financial penalties if railroads don’t meet the requirements.

Among other measures, the bill would direct the Federal Rail Administration to recommend operational changes based on the current NTSB investigation of the derailment.

The U.S. Transportation Department would be tasked with adding new rail car restrictions on length, weight, speed, and track standards, among other specifications.

The Secretary of Transportation would be required to introduce regulations regarding the detection of rail car defects on trains carrying hazardous materials.

Railroads would have to alert state emergency response authorities if their trains are carrying hazardous materials. The legislation would also mandate that rail carriers have two-person teams operating their trains.

Increased funding to train responders about how to handle hazardous materials is also included in the bill.

Ohio has one of the country’s largest railroad networks and ranks fourth in the nation for “serious train accident accidents and hazardous materials spills,” according to a statement from Johnson and Sykes when they announced the bill on March 17.

From 2019 through November 2022, 281 train accidents happened in Ohio, they said.

Multiple Bills Proposed
The House’s RAIL Act follows the Senate-led Railway Safety Act of 2023, which was introduced by Sens. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) and Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) on March 1.

That measure is aimed “to prevent future train disasters like the derailment that devastated East Palestine.”

Along with Vance and Brown, Sens. Bob Casey (D-Penn.), John Fetterman (D-Penn.), Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) also sponsored the legislation.

The bill takes steps to improve rail safety protocols, such as enhancing safety procedures for trains carrying hazardous materials, establishing requirements for wayside defect detectors, creating a permanent requirement for railroads to operate with at least two-person crews, and increasing fines for wrongdoing committed by rail carriers.

When the Railway Safety Act was introduced, Vance said: “Congress has a real opportunity to ensure that what happened in East Palestine will never happen again.

“We owe every American the peace of mind that their community is protected from a catastrophe of this kind.”

“I’m very glad to see that Congressman Johnson has such a strong, bipartisan group from the Ohio delegation behind [the RAIL Act],” Vance said in a statement. “This is a huge development for improving railway safety in this country.”

While Johnson and Sykes introduced their bill on March 30, three Democrats who co-sponsored the Railway Safety Act announced their own legislation to expand rail safety requirements.

Fetterman, Casey, and Brown debuted the Railway Accountability Act, which is Fetterman’s first piece of legislation since taking office in January. He continues to recover from a stroke he suffered last year and is expected to return to the Senate in mid-April after receiving treatment for clinical depression.

The bill is designed to build on overhauls included in the Railway Safety Act.

“Communities like Darlington Township and East Palestine are too often forgotten and overlooked by leaders in Washington and executives at big companies like Norfolk Southern who only care about making their millions,” Fetterman said in a statement.

As of March 30, the Railway Accountability Act didn’t have a Republican sponsor.

It’s backed by the Transport Workers of America, the National Conference of Firemen and Oilers, and the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation Workers-Mechanical Division.

“This bill will implement commonsense safety reforms, hold the big railway companies accountable, protect the workers who make these trains run, and help prevent future catastrophes that endanger communities near railway infrastructure,” Fetterman said.

“Working Pennsylvanians have more than enough to think about already—they should never have been put in this horrible situation.” "

Homes evacuated after train carrying hazardous materials derails in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania

Early Monday morning, a train carrying hazardous materials derailed outside of Philadelphia, leading to the evacuation of nearby homes. The train derailment incident took place in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, just before 5 a.m. A 40-car CSX Norfolk Southern freight train was involved, causing emergency crews to respond swiftly to the suburban area of Whitemarsh Township.

Approximately 15 to 20 of the derailed train cars were carrying hazardous materials, triggering a Level 2 hazmat response. In response to this potential danger, local officials decided to evacuate houses and businesses in the vicinity of the derailment as a precautionary measure.

Visual evidence of the derailment reveals multiple cars that have toppled off the tracks, with some appearing to be bent. Whitemarsh Township police stated on Facebook that precautionary evacuations were carried out for residents and businesses closest to the scene. They further stated that additional evacuations were unlikely, but the situation would continue to be assessed as more information became available.

Authorities from Norfolk Southern, CSX, and the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety’s Emergency Response Team were present at the site to manage the situation. As of now, there have been no reports of any injuries resulting from the incident.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro expressed his concern on Twitter and assured the public that he and his team were closely monitoring the train derailment in Whitemarsh Township. He commended the local first responders and urged residents to follow the instructions provided by the authorities to ensure their safety throughout the situation.
