Oh dear, I hadn't noticed a new live show while I was posting the above. However, of particular interest in this video is the speech by Donald Trump at 1.10.45

George told us about a couple of very upsetting things starting at the 6th minute - I'm actually still reeling from it - a line has been crossed although no doubt the UK MSM will not be talking about it -

First about the Spanish government legalizing bestiality - as long as it doesn't mean that having sex with the animal doesn't mean it needs to go to a vet after - for the love of God what's happening in this world and the West - an animal can't consent to sex so it is basically legalizing raping an animal - and if anyone is so abusive that they would rape a poor animal they are not going to pay for a vet after if they injure the poor creature...

Second that Peter Tatchell has been reported to have said that it's ok to have sex with 9 year old children if they consent.... what the hell!!!

I have known of GG since I lived in Glasgow more than thirty years ago; and from all I know since then (all kinds of shady stuff, serially) I do Not regard him as a man motivated by the desire for good, Nor is he spiritually on the side of good in the spiritual war of this world.

Yes, that clip has come back to haunt him many times and (I imagine) he totally regrets it. Other MPs have also fared badly on reality TV, like Ed Balls and Ann Widdicombe, and more recently the odious Matt Hancock.

George Galloway is currently leader of the Workers Party of Britain, which is communist, and perhaps unsurprising that he should back up the CCP (North Korea not so much). In theory communism should work, but in practice it doesn't ("You will own nothing and you will be happy") because the people at the top still own and control everything. Like many people, he was a vociferous supporter and admirer of the late Tony Benn

Although I don't share Galloway's politics, he's a first-class debater, who speaks with flair and passion and makes good and valid arguments about current affairs, and particularly about the shortcomings of our present government (queue Benny Hill music). He's an avid champion of our military, 100% in favour of Free Speech and prepared to listen to what people have to say. Whatever your politics, he's still worth a listen even if you don't agree with him.

He (or she) who controls the editorial "edit work" controls the perception ... you can edit anyone to look more likeable more congruent more logical more making sense in proper context etc. etc. but you can also edit it in such a way you do the opposite ... How many times do we have to trust editors claiming "not" being biased? ... That are hard core LIARS!

There is even a third option: "neutral editing" with the obvious "outlandish claims and outrageous opinions" but at least you allow the full elaboration/explanation of it ... and THAT is the crux ... "who decides" how much time you are allowed to explain yourself correctly in an allegedly "unbiased summary" that will do full justice to the unaltered truth!

No, I don't know of any (not that I have looked at all diligently!) -- and can't really imagine anyone I would Respect (which is, admittedly, only a Tiny proportion of the current Western population) going into politics nowadays.

George Galloway's Workers of Britain Party are the odds-on favourites on the Betfair Exchange to win the Rochdale by-election after Labour withdrew support for their candidate.

Labour were heavy odds-on last week before remarket their candidate Azhar Ali made about the October 7 attacks on Israel were published.

Ali apologised but Labour are out to 2.4 to win the by-election on 29 February after more the Daily Mail told the party it had unearthed more controversial statements by their candidate.

Labour responded by withdrawing their support for Ali. They cannot replace him with another candidate, as the deadline for registrations has passed, and he will be on the ballot for Labour, without the party's blessing.

Reform UK's Danczuk shortens on Betfair
There have been reports today, however, that Labour's problems may improve the chances of Reform UK's Simon Danczuk winning the by-election.

He has shortened to 38.0 on the Exchange and, while that is a big price, the Reform UK candidate could have the best chance of beating Galloway come election day in just over a fortnight.

The UK Parliament needs someone like George Galloway to shake it up... so I'm really hoping he wins - it would also be good (IMO) if Reform UK do well to give that party encouragement..

I was touched by what George said in his closing remarks... that included heartfelt comments that he loved his country (Britain) and the people of his country - that he was representing and working for all people (in Rochdale and the wider world).... that British PM Rishi Sunak had put a target on him with the 'emergency' speech he gave outside Number 10 ... where he never mentioned George by name but fear mongered about extremism... and the 'far right' .... OMG - mega wrong move by George imo. Although Jeremy Corbyn was treated very badly by the Labour Party and hounded out in a spurious fashion in 2020, his mild manner manifested as downright weak when it came to standing by fellow members (like Ken Livingstone) when they were trounced before him. His day has been and gone.

I'm truly mystified, but perhaps George's recent success has sent his party membership into a tsunami and he's looking for seasoned recruits. He'd do better to approach Ken Livingstone in preference to Corbyn although Ken has had his day as well. This has also been a failing of the Reform Party, imo, syphoning off dubious Conservative members.

Watching the antics of Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid were cringeworthy, weren't they? They seem to have taken a leaf out of Piers Morgan's book in their interview technique, which is to ask a loaded question and then continually interrupt so that their victims can't answer. To be honest, I was surprised that the ancient Rula Lenska/cat incident didn't rear its ugly head, but I'm sure it will.

George Galloway is a seasoned pro, as is proven by his magnificent debates with the legendary Christopher Hitchens, and is well up to speed with current affairs and the shortcomings of world government. But on the run up to the next UK General Election - and I doubt very much whether it'll be July, as rumoured - George is doing the rounds and getting the Worker's Party of Britain into the public sights and is prepared to run the gauntlet to get as much coverage as possible for his party, and if that means having to put up with the likes of Madeley and Reid then so be it.

George maintains that the way to beat the Two Cheeks is to vote for the independent candidate who represents how you wish the country to be run. If only it was that simple. He said that his politics and beliefs followed those of the late great Anthony Wedgwood Benn (before the Labour Party was infiltrated - my words not his).

Since winning the By Election in Rochdale at the end of February, the WPB has been inundated with supporters wishing to join (I think he said membership had been quadrupled). Not only that, many of them have volunteered to stand as self-funded candidates in the next General Election, to give as many people an opportunity to vote for WPB. A major misgiving imo is that when Nigel Farage did something similar with UKIP in 2015, many of his "newbie" candidates made unprofessional gaffs, which the good old mainstream news was quick to sensationalise, and which had a detrimental effect on UKIP. As with most professions, there has to be some form of apprenticeship before you can be viewed as credible.

George did well to hold back, although he gave a swipe back to Richard Madeley yesterday. People in glass houses . . .

George's latest interview with Aaron Bastini of Novara. Much of what he says is already known but at around the 30 minute mark he makes some very controversial comments which may adversely affect his political standing. Certainly they've made a difference to how Aaron Bastini views him (said in another Novara (paraphrasing) that following this interview he wouldn't vote for him). I'm sure much will be made of this, especially in the run-up to the next General Election.

I don't agree with the comments George made, but I do feel that UK Primary Schools should only be teaching children Reading, Writing and Arithmetic and that social skills should be the responsibility of parents. Quite a lot of children in the UK reach secondary education without even basic skills, which is an impediment to their future ability to support themselves and a future family.
