The Third Secret of Fatima

I have a question:

Does anyone remember the claim made by Father Malachi Martin that the Third Secret of Fatima involved the cities of Minsk and Kiev?

I am 99% sure he said this, but I cannot find any reference to it online anymore. Moreover I cannot find anyone who made a connection between the Third Secret and these cities, but I am certain it was made.

The video I post immediately below, and the transcript and links that I added, seem to me to be worth showcasing as something that we can increasingly see is relevant to today's unstable and rapidly-changing world, and is critical to understand as best we can.

This is what Art Bell reads to Fr. Martin at the start of the interview, something that he says was sent to him. He asks Fr. Martin if this is accurate. Fr. Martin responds very carefully: (slightly abridged here in transcript)
It is not the text which was given to me to read in 1960. There are elements in it which do belong in the Third Secret. That's the most measured response I could give to it.
Then Art Bell asks if the Third Secret is as traumatic as is suggested in what he read. Fr Martin responds: (also slightly abridged)
Much more so. The central element in the Third Secret is awful. And it's not in that text.Fr. Martin later states that the person who wrote the text that was sent to Art Bell (transcribed below) would certainly have been privy to the original Third Secret, either having read it personally or via word of mouth.

He will succeed in seducing the spirits of the great scientists who invent all kinds of arms with which it will be possible to destroy a large part of humanity in a few minutes.

The good to perish with the bad; the great with the small; the princes of the Church with the faithful; the rulers with their people.

There will be death everywhere because of the errors committed by non-believers and crazy followers of Satan which will then and only then take control over the world. At the last, those who survive will at every chance newly proclaim God and His glory, and they will serve Him as when the world was not so perverted."

Thank you for bringing this part up. I just listened to that Art Bell show. Yes me too, I didn’t know that the Garabandal sightings was because the Catholic pope did not reveal the third secret of Fatima, when in fact as Father Malachi said, the secret was supposed to be revealed to the public.

Also in looking up our Lady of Garabandal, the children said she looked like our Lady of Carmel. From my little knowledge of our Lady of Carmel, whoever wore the scapular of our Lady of Carmel was protected by our Lady. I remember when I was a child I wore one as did my whole family, my siblings as my mom was a devout believer of the Virgin Mary. I didn’t know how important that scapular was till now.

Fatima’s Miracle of the Sun and the Warnings of Akita

In Akita, Japan, on Saturday, Oct. 13, 1973 — the anniversary of Fatima’s Miracle of the Sun — Our Blessed Mother gave a dire warning for the world. In part, she said:
My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you. … As l told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead.Sister Agnes Sasagawa, had just begun the Rosary when she heard Our Lady speak these words to her. But that was only part of the message. Our Blessed Mother also said:
The only arms that will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confrères ... churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.How can we continue to ignore or fail to respond to Our Lady’s warnings of 49 years ago as the news blares about nuclear bomb threats from Russia? Who can ignore the shocking headlines about cardinals and bishops strongly opposing one another on Church doctrine and other matters, such as happening in Germany? And how many, laity included, are openly promoting, supporting or accepting “compromises” to the faith, even down to anti-life and “reversals” of Genesis?

Sister Agnes, who had joined the Sisters of Notre Dame when she was in Nagasaki (another hint of the Fatima connection?), heard Our Lady go on:
The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them.More on that meaning shortly. But as at Fatima, our Blessed Mother gave us hope and a response at Akita as she said:
Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved.“It is the message of Fatima,” Bishop John Ito told pilgrims coming to the convent chapel. He approved the apparitions and messages as authentic.

Bishop Ito would also give an imprimatur and high recommendation to the book Akita: The Tears and Messages of Mary, written by Father Teiji Yasuda, chaplain of the Akita convent. Father Yasuda wrote:
The heart of the third message given by Our Lady at Akita is a warning which can be summed up thus, ‘If men do not repent and better themselves, there will be a terrible chastisement.’ At Fatima Our Lady gave a dreadful warning. If her requests were not heeded, error would spread from an atheist Russia throughout the entire world, fomenting further wars; the good will be persecuted; the Holy Father will suffer much, and several entire nations will be annihilated.’Have we listened? A terrible, dreadful warning it is. At Fatima, too, Our Lady warned of the possibility that “various nations will be annihilated.” She reminded us again with strong words at Akita. Have we listened?

No Coincidences

The connections between Akita and Fatima are striking, beginning with Akita’s major message and Fatima’s Miracle of the Sun both taking place on Oct. 13. The day of the week was the same — a Saturday, our Blessed Mother’s special day. Our Lady’s apparitions ended at Fatima on this date, and on the same date and day she gave her last message to Sister Agnes.

Both Fatima and Akita began with visits from an angel.

While Sister Agnes was praying the Rosary, her guardian angel appeared and told her to add after each decade, “Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven and especially those who are most in need of your mercy.” It was the prayer Our Lady taught and requested at Fatima. The nun had never heard of this additional prayer to the Rosary since there was no translation of it into Japanese.

Then in Akita as at Fatima, our Blessed Mother gave essentially the same hope for mitigating the chastisements that she warned about. At Fatima, Our Lady had already spelled out what we need to do to avert or lessen them, and she repeated the same ideas at Akita on that Oct. 13. The Rosary is the way. So is reparation. They are the solid rock foundation to build upon.

As a reminder, prior to Oct. 13, Our Lady told Sister Agnes on Aug. 3:
Many men in this world afflict the Lord. I desire souls to console him to soften the anger of the Heavenly Father. I wish, with my Son, for souls who will repair by their suffering and their poverty for the sinners and ingrates.
Akita’s solution is Fatima’s solution. Fatima’s simple instructions are Akita’s simple instructions. In every appearance at Fatima, Our Mother said to pray the Rosary. In Akita on Oct. 13, she again stressed the Rosary four times in that one message, including, “Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved.”

In her July 13 appearance at Fatima, Our Lady said to “continue to pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war, because only she can obtain it.”

In light of today’s religious, cultural, and political wars getting worse by the day — especially those against God’s laws and commandments — we have to ask, have we and are we really listening in sufficient numbers to our Mother? Both at Akita and Fatima?

Simple Solution and Request

Although Akita happened in a slightly different way, it is an update and reminder of Fatima.

“It is specific simplicity which makes the Fatima message so different, so practical, so hopeful,” wrote John Haffert, co-founder of the World Apostolate of Fatima. He reminded that former Fatima Bishop John Venancio compared the simple remedy given by Our Blessed Mother to Naaman the Syrian seeking a cure from the prophet Elisha in the Old Testament (2 Kings: 6-16). The instruction was simple, but at first Namaan did not want to follow it. Convinced by servants, he listened and was cured.

That is a lesson we should learn from Akita and Fatima which both give us Our Mother’s simple instructions for healing the world. Let’s do a quick review of them.

“Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary,” Our Lady instructed at Akita.

And again, “Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.”

At Fatima, she requested the Rosary at each appearance. At one she said: “Continue to say the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, to obtain the peace of the world and the end of the war, because only she can obtain it.”

Also, be consecrated to her Immaculate Heart and be enrolled in and wear the Brown Scapular as a continuous sign of that.

Make sacrifices in reparation for sin. The sacrifices Our Lady requires are those required for fulfilling our daily duties. Start the day with the Morning Offering as the foundation to do that.

As at Akita and Fatima, have a devotion to St. Joseph. It was both the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker and the First Saturday of the month. Sister Agnes’ guardian angel told her during the Mass and spiritual exercises attended by two groups gathered there, “Attach great importance to this day for the glory of God and of his holy Mother. With courage spread this devotion among the greatest number.” So have a devotion to St. Joseph.

And make the First Saturday devotions, fulfilling its simple conditions. After that, why stop? Continue the First Saturday devotions.

The basic simple trio is to pray the daily Rosary and scapular, offer the sacrifices that daily duty requires in reparation for yours and the world’s sins; do the First Saturday devotions.

“If enough people respond, the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be hastened and a chastisement might be averted or at least lessened by our Blessed Mother’s intercession,” wrote Haffert.

Grim Reminder

In an earlier message to Sister Agnes, our Blessed Mother also necessarily revealed, in part:
In order that the world might know His anger, the Heavenly Father is preparing to inflict a great chastisement on all mankind. With my Son, I have intervened so many times to appease the wrath of the Father. I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross, his Precious Blood and beloved souls who console him and form a cohort of victim souls. Prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices can soften the Father's anger.Haffert explained it, quoting John Paul II’s encyclical on the Holy Spirit: “It is because this non-forgiveness is linked, as to its cause, to non-repentance, in other words to the radical refusal to be converted” like “the person who claims to have a right to persist in evil, in any sin at all, and who thus rejects Redemption.” In the early 1990s Haffert listed areas including abortion, contraception and “denying God’s teachings to children.” The world has added tremendously to the list since then.

At the same time, Jesus has over and over sent to us his Mother Mary — Mother of Mercy, “Virgin Most Merciful,” as we pray in the Litany of Loreto — to help us and give us the simple solution. Hope remains.

Hope Still Abounds

Mary has promised us her Immaculate Heart will triumph, which can happen peacefully if we respond to her requests. Keep that in mind.

If enough people respond to Mary’s message at the two interlocked appearances, Akita and Fatima, the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart can and will be hastened, and a chastisement might be averted or greatly lessened by her intercession.

Fatima and Akita give us the simple instructions we need to follow: “Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary,” Our Lady instructed at Akita. “Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops, and priests.”

Our Lady said at Fatima: “If you do what I tell you, many souls will be saved, and there will be peace.”

Now we have the globally important conflict in Ukraine, which is pretty much an undeclared WWIII, it seemed important to reference Fatima in a standalone thread.

In my opinion, we can maybe filter out the Christian references from the prophecies. (That's in the plural: there have been many appearances that are similar in their message and warning: not just the Fatima incident over 100 year ago.) If we translate this into everyday language, there's a common theme that we may be unwise to disregard.

It currently seems highly unlikely that "Russia will march upon all the nations of Europe" — unless there's a formally declared NATO boots-on-the-ground counter-invasion of Ukraine from the west, which is theoretically possible. In that event, Russia would take its gloves off and retaliate without much mercy. It wouldn't "march on Europe" with infantry, but would simply take out European military bases and other infrastructure with missiles and air attacks, which it could very easily do.

Translated into non-religious terms, the above reads like a warning that unless humanity comes to its senses — which would have to include humanity's so-called leaders, many of whom seem mind-virus-infected and deranged (or even 'evil', by any definition of the term) — then catastrophe will ensue.

Personally, I have to say that I take these warnings very seriously. There have been many of them now, in various forms (not just Marian appearances), and they all have a lot in common. I've been compiling a list, which is now quite a long one, and maybe I should share that. Each on its own might be easily disregarded or explained away, but collectively they form an alarmingly cohesive unified picture of a possible or probable near future.

Referring to the above, I respect the wish to keep religiosity out of these prophesies, yet the two are inextricably entwined, on the one hand for mankind to mend it's ways and importantly on the other to live in the Divine Will of our Creator. The one is conditional upon the other. The "demonic" has been given a short free reign at this time to act as it will upon the affairs of mankind, we can see it, or not. However the likelihood that most of mankind would live in the Divine Will and avert retribution is slim, it seems that the dye is caste. Of course it all depends upon whether one believes that God uses nature to clean the slate.

I have been curious about the many contacts between people and a Divine Feminine presence who imparts a warning. There have been incidents through history where dire predictions were made that if "man" does not turn away from evil, terrible things will happen.

The ones meeting her are called on as prophets to tell others. WE others are warned about the sins of "man".... But this is strange because we are not "mankind", just a person. How does a person change "mankind"?

WE (speaking for myself) want there to be peace, charity, virtue, care, compassion and all the ones that make the heart sing but we feel unable to make them HAPPEN in a bigger picture. Maybe we never can and it is not even the point?

The evil IMO is the very SYSTEM in which we are embedded. WE did not create the feudal hell in which we seem to live.

Just WHO is she addressing?

It is NOT (You and Me) ordinary people CREATING terrible evil. We are born into a situation and do our run of life. IMO we Mostly feel great sorrow for misdeeds and seek amends. Oppression, repression, suppression of our (IMO) natural human empathy and (IMO) innate goodness is IMO the Big issue.


It is assumed that redemption's turn around for mankind, is a group process. Yet, wherever "group" religion appears, the leadership is MOSTLY (IMO) not what they proclaim themselves to be and USE religion in just the same old evil way to do evil as the rest of the SYSTEM.

It is IMO the SYSTEM which is being called out.
It is the individual courage to break away from the system that takes a MATURE soul. There is a trajectory like the Hero's journey. It is often precipitated by a great tragedy.

It seems over and over that prophecies are only projections of possibility. Based on some ineffable nuance that shifts them, they FAIL. However, maybe they don't fail for "some", just for us.

Also, as the "revelation" of the future is always about to happen NOW for those living, could it be that the whole story is meant for whoever hears the story and thinks it "applies to me" and then sets about redeeming self through REJECTION OF EVIL> acceptance of LOVE of God and brothers/sisters.

Maybe every apocalypse and every armageddon is individual and the under all the sightings is the personal message:

Hey you human....this world will be a very difficult place and seem crushing with disaster, evil and war. The only way to change this state (for yourself) is to achieve a seeming impossible rapport with me who up to "now" was not possible because YOU had not MET me. MEET me and turn away from the created hell of man's separation. In your separated state, your energy is like a whirlwind and YOUR WORD tears down and destroys.

Until you can come back together with the alignment between "heaven" and "earth", your free will will only bring pain. YOU create the destruction in which you dwell. There is another GOSPEL of love This is the challenge In which you BECOME (W)Holy. Until THEN...

Maybe I am mistaken but I don't think that EVERYONE is going to be punished all in a lump of "mankind" because the the lowest common denominator of evil exists. Does anyone actually choose evil?

Referring to the above, I respect the wish to keep religiosity out of these prophesiesAll I'd suggest here is that the concept of 'evil' (which sometimes can be directly observed in action) is quite independent of any religious or even spiritual faith or commitment. Few humans, hardcore atheists included, would deny its existence, even in just pragmatic terms.


The "demonic" has been given a short free reign at this time to act as it will upon the affairs of mankind, we can see it, or not. Dr Bill Deagle (see this thread: Dr Bill Deagle's December 2006 Granada Forum Lecture (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?115022-Dr-Bill-Deagle-s-December-2006-Granada-Forum-Lecture)) described 'evil' as the agenda of transdimensional demonic entities, which I'd say is entirely accurate. And in my opinion Jay Weidner, in his early work on the Archons (a term first used by early Gnostic Christians), was also describing the same influence.

Please do share your list of compilations that you are working on.I increasingly think I should, but maybe in a new standalone thread. My list extends now to nearly 30 items, ranging from well-known prophecies, through remote viewing reports, to remarkable but very worrying subjective individual experiences.

There appear to be two categories of potential threat, both in tandem: nuclear war, and some kind of separate but cataclysmic global natural disaster. Either alone might 'cleanse' the active evil influences from the planet, but like the Great Flood (which many agree was a historical global event very approximately 12,500 years ago) would necessarily destroy almost everything else as well, leaving humanity to reboot and begin again.

I think it might be instructive to look at the problem from a different perspective.
Rather than viewing humanity's survivability on this planet in terms of "good" or "evil", what if we look at it all from the POV of "sustainability", which I think it's safe to say, is more the POV of Nature.
From there, we could conclude that the most "primitive" tribes, which are about the only humans who are currently living a truly sustainable existence, are actually more successful in some ways than the highly developed societies.

Without relistening to this video, I am going to guess that he was talking about Garabandal, which is not a person but a place in Northern Spain. There were apparitions there too, in the early 1960s, which were given to four children. They started happening shortly after Pope John XXIII publicly opened the envelope with the 3rd secret and refused to divulge it to the world and said the world is not ready to hear this.

Anthony Stine said he really doesn't want to delve into Garabandal because the church has not approved this sighting. There are many other apparitions and messages which the church has not approve, like Medugorje, and the fact that they are not approved is for me the reason that they should be investigated.

Just repent.Yes again! But that might not cut it. You or I sincerely feeling remorseful for that bus ride we never paid for, or for not telling the checkout clerk they'd given the wrong change, may not solve the problem.

Those who need to 'repent' (a) are at the highest echelons of power and control (and, very seriously, may be subject to non-human evil influences), and (b) would also need to set about fixing all the monumental, global-scale damage.

I think silly, valueless, dramatic predictions like Edward Riordan's remote viewing that "something" was going to happen on 1 May (2 days ago, and it didn't :)) are best to be ignored because they never help anyone or anything. I'd even say much the same thing about Penny Kelly, and even Clif High. (There are Avalon threads about all three.)

But this set* of prophecies and forecasts, dating from over 100 years ago to January and February 2023, all describe the same things. I absolutely, truly understand the logic that if these kinds of events are indeed to occur, there's no rational need to even think about or discuss them, as that makes no difference at all and is likely only to increase our anxiety.

I wrestle with this myself all the time. At that time, this spot was very wild and remote, 3600m (nearly 12,000 ft) above sea level and in the heart of the mountains with nothing but a simple dirt road anywhere near. A young girl aged just 16, Patricia ("Pachi") Talbot, encountered the Virgin Mary right in the middle of nowhere.

Pachi had a whole sequence of visitations, apparently over 100 in an 18 month period, in various different locations, including her own bedroom. As best I could see, Fatima is discussed in the first video from about 10:30 for some 7 or 8 minutes, and is then mentioned again briefly in the closing 2 or 3 minutes in the second video.

Father Martin's whole focus and concern is about the demise of the Catholic Church, one of the dire warnings conveyed to the Fatima witnesses.

It's clear that Art Bell in his several interviews was far more focused on the warnings about global catastrophe. Father Martin, equally clearly a very decent, courteous, and highly intelligent man, did his very best in those conversations to respond to Art Bell's many questions. But one can readily see that his entire focus was his concern about the future of Catholicism.

No offense taken whatsoever (and I am a Roman Catholic, but that does not limit my world view), however, I did a presentation on Marian apparition since Fatima, and I took the post modern approach, you have to view everything from several different perspectives to understand what is going on, and none of them are necessarily the last word. If you are a scientist and you are trying to understand how light behaves, you need to look at it as both a particle and a wave, two very contradictory perspectives. When it comes to Marian apparitions and prophecies, you need to look it is from:

the dogmatically skeptical/atheist perspective that looks at this as a phenomenon of mind and belief, and sometimes involves self delusion and deception. Even if you don't believe there is any reality to this happenings, they occur within the context of a very powerful institution that has a place on the world geopolitical stage: the Roman Catholic church. And there are about a billion Roman Catholics on our orb who are influenced by these narratives.

The idea that some entity is communicating with a group, mostly Roman Catholics, but others are sometimes others are involved, and that the entity is trying to change human events. A few months after the Fatima apparitions culminated in Portugal in October 1917, there was a complete change of government and after many decades of suppression, the Catholic church was given back it's power as an free institution there. Other Marian apparitions are also connected to political events (e.g. Medugorje with the collapse of socialist Yugoslavia, Zeitoun, Egypt with the 6-Day War, etc.

This is exactly my thinking. As a born Roman Catholic, I always considered those messages from the place of Marian apparitions too dogmatic, biased and exclusive only for Catholics, which made no sense to me. I was in Medjugorje out of curiosity and noticed that they have quite commercialized the whole story with the apparition of the virgin. I didn't like that.
I felt more positive energy in Visoko.

A long discussion that will change the topic, because just by saying that God has a mother is a great contradiction itself. People need to focus on their message and teachings, not to put them in one specific religion. They brought a message for the world not for a group, so try to find out what was that message and how reliable is the source from where you got it.

Here's something very serious to think about. The witnesses all report that they hear spoken words. But maybe those words aren't spoken at all in any audible sense.

They may be thoughtforms projected directly into the mind of the witness, which then deciphers the original 'signal' in ways consistent with their own beliefs, upbringing and culture. It has to be possible that if a Marian witness (these days!) were to try to record the 'voice' with their smartphone, the recording would be blank.

The best guess I have (but it's a pure guess, and maybe not a very good one!) is that if these many messages come from genuinely well-meaning non-human emissaries, their own race or culture is so distantly removed from humans that they simply don't really understand very well how humans actually work.

Looks like fire and brimstone fundamentalist Catholicism to me. Basically it seems that any message the confirms what we already know and want to believe is automatically labeled "true", and anything that contradicts it is what we want to believe is "false." Why would these entities come here to tell us what we already believe?

Among the "false" apparitions is Nostradamus who was secretly Jewish (therby automatically invalidating his claims). They also claim he plagarized all his prophecies from books he was entrusted with. Many of the "false" apparitions here contained messages of corruption within the church. They are labeled as false by the church, however, the church never investigated them and overlooked miraculous healings. For example "Januszkiewicz of Marlboro, NJ" may have predicted in the early 1990s the story of priestly pedophilia that was about to unfold over the next few decades. The message may have been "You are about to find out horrible things about your priests - but don't loose faith." There was even a miracle associated with these apparitions (https://www.visionsofjesuschrist.com/weeping2089.html). The Diocese was given the evidence of the miracle (here, a mysteriously blood stained Eucharistic host) and had pretty much hidden it away and remained silent on the matter.

Medugorje is also considered false here, because there are several children who received messages in the 1980s and have kept them secret (which they were ordered to do) and I believe the church feels threatened by these messages.

There is this idea that Marian apparitions support the Roman Catholic church, when in fact, many of them challenge it's authority.

I have no idea what prophecy is or these phenomena which convey messages are? Messages arise from so many sources around us: extra ordinary, mildly surprising and seemingly inconsequential. These anomalies and our whole REALITY is so unknown. At least in waking consciousness we are definitely veiled.

I FEEL that the central message of a FACT of Love being the fabric of the Universe is beginning and end of my journey. Many others are seeking an apocalypse and are willing that we awaken to TRUTH. First off - it is my Very strong opinion that both the Fatima and Garabandal 'apparitions' were caused by the same 'group'... and the other sightings that are noted by others in this thread are also potential extensions of information by this 'group'. ALL of these occurrences are an effort to give humanity the 'heads up' regarding our collective failure in creating a Loving CIVILIZATION. I've said before that humanity, at this time, is NOT Civilized. We are barely organized, and not very well at that. We have YET to stop killing one-another, much less Love One Another. I feel that is God's Greatest Commandment, even though it is not written down, but a messenger was sent to give us this message directly. However, the 'powers' always kill the messenger, don't they? (A full reading of Thiaoouba will provide this 'story')

Now... as to the 'superwave'. This phenomena has been extensively discussed in more 'conventional' cosmological terms by Ben Davidson (Suspicious Observers) as being the cause for the solar system wide changes, the current magnetic polar excursion and predicted magnetic pole flip, as well as a possible micro-nova.

As to the timing of this 'pole flip'... I've recently come upon another utube site (maverickstar reloaded) that delves almost exclusively into this pole migration and he/they have postulated that the flip may occur as soon as March, 2023...



I've commented before that both the Garabandal and Fatima apparitions were brought about by actions of the Thiaooubans (Thiaoouba Prophecy), and in that book they give a few examples of How they accomplished these feats. A thorough reading of this book will reveal a great deal regarding the nature of our Spirit, and Earth's place in the greater scheme of things. [Earth is a 'kindergarten' for the evolution of the Soul, where we learn the 'basics' of physical life.]

I'll add that after reading ALL of the 'Seth' books (by Jane Roberts) I've noted numerous direct correlations between his description of the Soul and it's relationship to the Astral Body, and that they are virtually identical to that as described in Thiaoouba, as well as providing greater understandings of the workings of our current space-time probability and how it is 'assembled' - and more importantly How We Ourselves CREATE OUR PHYSICAL REALITY.

(What we see as 'material objects', such as our bodies, everything around us, the Earth, the planets, the Sun, and EVERYTHING we see, are actually psychic manifestations of our individual and collective Psyches via Conscious Focus. EVERYTHING we 'see' is merely one aspect (camouflage as Seth calls it) of a multidimensional phenomena.)

Now, to tie these two disparate items (Garabandal and pole flip/micro-nova), the Garabandal experiencers said there would be 2 OR 3 events to occur in the future.

1) The Warning... something that will cause the whole world to 'sit up and take notice'. One of the experiencers described it as "you will see yourself as God sees you - all the good and the bad".

2) A Miracle which would be visible at the 'pines' which will last forever - it can be seen and photographed, but cannot be touched. (a grove of 9 pine trees on the mountain above Garabandal). Should these two events [I]Not cause a massive shift in human actions, then the third event will be Allowed to occur;

3)The Chastisement - which in later years was described by Conchita as "...it is worse than being enveloped in fire, worse than having fire above and beneath you..."

If you read Thiaoouba, you will learn that they have Incredible Spiritual and Physical KNOWLEDGE. I firmly believe that they CAN Control the Sun via Conscious Spiritual Force, and thus avert the global catastrophe of a micro-nova. I'll also postulate that they will use the magnetic flip (where the magnetic field falls to almost 'nothing', as a means by which humanity's collective consciousness will be 'focused' in such a fashion to cause a possible 'spiritual awakening' (The Warning) that will change the course of humanity - should it be heeded.

Could it be possible that the Thiaooubans would use these cosmological events to assist in humanity's Spiritual evolution - i.e. could the 'Warning' possibly be the event caused by the flip, and that the 'Chastisement' be the micro-nova?

Personally, I think so. Time will tell...

I also suspect that these beings Are the progenitor race of humans throughout our galaxy. I was unaware of Xavier Ayral, who is French but whose English is sublime. He's also exceptionally well-informed about Ukraine and Russia, is carefully critical of Pope Francis, and talks at length about the Marian apparitions at Fatima (1917) and Garabandal (1961-65), discussing their connection to crucially important current events.

I searched around some more, and found that it'd already been published in this obscure booklet, an article that appeared in the Italian magazine Chiesa viva, no.462, back in July 2013. I've been working on this now, off and on, for quite a few weeks, and I'm pretty personally sure this is accurate. It's known that Cardinal Ratzinger stated that the message of Akita from 1973 (a Marian apparition in Japan, described in full here (https://www.piercedhearts.org/hearts_jesus_mary/apparitions/akita.html)) was the same as the that from Fatima.

Compare the two. They're chillingly similar. The global problems we're enmired in now indeed started in the second half of the Twentieth Century, but the 'great war' may have started in February last year... depending on how it's all delineated and defined. (Arguably, of course, the current war had its beginnings long ago, and has been smoldering for a while, only now erupting into a raging firefight with the clear possibility of it becoming far more widespread any time soon.)

The Third Secret of Fatima

In addition to documents and texts from Marian visionaries, we also have the living Marian visionaries themselves, and they may have more secrets to tell. Most of them keep a pretty low profile, however, they are still all faithful Catholics and might have more to say.

The most visible of these visionaries is Vicka Ivanković in Medjugorje. Every day she walks from her home to the church on the main square in Medjugorje, followed by a huge crowd of visitors, largely Italian, and receives a message and conveys it to the public. It usually isn't anything earth shattering, but never the less she can claim that she has been receiving messages from Mary continuously for over 40 years. Vicka also claims that she has received nine secrets from Mary, and has not revealed them to anyone, but is waiting for the time when she is told to do so. Some of the other Medjugorje seers also claim that they have secrets waiting for the right time for them to be revealed.

Roman Catholics have been waiting for the church to acknowledge the validity of these apparitions in Medjugorje, and a few years ago, the church finally gave them some lukewarm acknowledgement BUT they were also very clear in stating that they saw nothing to the messages that these six children have received.

I also know from a friend that one of the visionaries from Kibeho is in the New York City area. Someone asked her about the COVID pandemic, and she agreed that something is very strange about it, but also stated that it is nothing compared to what will soon be coming.

When I read about Vatican diplomacy in the mainstream media, it seems that the Vatican is always trying to improve relations with the Eastern Orthodox churches, especially the Russian church, but it is the Russians who give the Romans a cold reception. After this, I have to wonder if it is the other way around.

When I read about Vatican diplomacy in the mainstream media, it seems that the Vatican is always trying to improve relations with the Eastern Orthodox churches, especially the Russian church, but it is the Russians who give the Romans a cold reception. After this, I have to wonder if it is the other way around.

I imagine that world leaders are often late to Vatican meetings, with all the security precautions that have to take while dealing and while working around the traffic in Rome, and that an hour's lateness is usually no big deal. But even if Putin's lateness was because he was snorting coke in the back of a limo with hookers, it would not be good diplomacy to mention this in the official Vatican news publication, so it seems really obvious: The Vatican does indeed NOT like Putin.

As a follow-up to my previous postings regarding the Garabandal incident and it's relationship to Thiaoouba, above, I've come across a new Suspicious Observer video that supports a portion of that previous posting when referenced to statements in Thiaoouba Prophecy. Specifically, those references are about 'cosmic rays' and that these energies result in Creation and/or Changes in Physical Life.

Now, in the book (Thiaoouba Prophecy) these 'cosmic ray' references occur in several places. (actual page number - not pdf page)
Page 54 - discusses the Creation and that THE CREATOR used Cosmic Rays to Create Life
page 92 - discusses how the Pyramids concentrated Cosmic Rays
page 141 - discusses how Cosmic Rays are used to Create Life... VERY specific Life in this instance.

In particular, pay attention to SO's notation regarding the weakening of Earth's (and the Sun's) magnetic fields, and that this causes an increase in the penetration of Cosmic Rays to the Earth's surface.

It doesn't take a 'rocket scientist' to figure out that this increase in cosmic ray influence will Change Humanity... for the better methinks.

I, for one, certainly hope so.

I feel like a vast majority of metaphysical books making such claims are merely a regurgitation of previous information studied by the author (though they don't want you to know that), and then their own "spin" on things to make the writings seem unique, new and cutting edge. In the end, people can convince themselves of just about anything and they'll devote their lives to convincing you too. I wanted to read the Thiaoouba Prophecy, but the moment I found out that they claimed they were responsible for sending Jesus to our planet, I backed out. If I find one piece of rat poison that I know in my heart isn't true, then the rest of the information is invalidated (for me subjectively any way). I'm not sure if people realize just how many authors have similar claims. It's the Nibirians who sent him - no it's the Sirians! No, actually it was the Elohim... Hey, it's the Venusians here to tell you about that time we sent Jesus to you.. No actually it was us - No us!.... Really, I'd say there are dozens of quite convincingly, eloquently written "channeled" books all claiming to have been responsible for Jesus' arrival to the planet. I have probably read 100's of metaphysical leaning books in my life, and ultimately, I have chosen to look to my own heart's memory of events regarding Jesus' soul origins. I genuinely feel I was there at the time he walked the earth due to years of visions forcing me to face that reality, actual full blown recalls that is. Thousands of people were, of course. But I recall actually being within that inner circle. I seem to recall many things about his origins. My heart has a memory, but I'm sure many would argue that such claims are the stuff of fantasy or delusions of grandeur.... And that's precisely why I'd never write a book about it as it would just drown out in a sea of thousands of books all making similar claims. And yes, I know the devil's advocate response: "My delusions are more real than your delusions", right? And this is why I keep my lips sealed.

That isn't to say that a lot of what's in the book isn't onto something truthful or accurate, especially regarding light frequencies being directly related to cosmic evolution of the species. Anyone with even an ounce of cosmic recall within their own hearts has figured this out.

My only message to all is to hold onto extreme discernment concerning any and all channeled works, insider accounts, whistle blowers, or abduction claims where information was "given" to the abductee.. If there's anything I know for sure it's that we're definitely in that final decade before the huge shift and I feel the truth is on the horizon soon to be revealed to those who are awake enough to notice it's arrival. It would be a shame for people to miss what's coming because they were so convinced of metaphysical regurgitated garbage that they lost the ability to discern truth from deception. ETA: Perhaps the word garbage was an extreme way to put it, I just feel that when spiritual mimicry is at play, true insight is not at hand. Unfortunately I think many people can get so caught up in the role playing of it all without realizing it's mimicry over authentic direct revelations. This is just my two cents and so I don't plan on replying on this thread after this reply. :stars::waving:

I don't think this to be a coincidence, but everyone has Free Will to believe what they wish to believe.

VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Five prominent cardinals have submitted dubia to Pope Francis about the Synod on Synodality, asking five urgent questions about possible attacks on the Church’s doctrines, including the possibility of homosexual blessings, the weight of teaching afforded to the synod, female ordination, and the necessity of repentance in sacramental Confession.

Broken to the Catholic public on October 2, news of previously private correspondence between five cardinals and Pope Francis, expressing grave concerns about the upcoming Synod on Synodality, was revealed. They highlighted the urgency of the synod as a catalyst for the intervention, noting the synod as an event “which many want to use to deny Catholic doctrine on the very issues which our dubia concern.”

The Dubia have been written and submitted by Cardinals Walter Brandmüller, former prefect of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences; Raymond Leo Burke, former prefect of the Apostolic Signatura; Juan Sandoval Íñiguez, former Archbishop of Guadalajara; Robert Sarah, the former prefect of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments; and Joseph Zen, the former bishop of Hong Kong. Both Brandmüller and Burke were signatories of the previous Dubia submitted to the Pope in 2016 about Amoris Laetitia.

Veteran Vatican journalist Sandro Magister wrote that the five cardinals recognized the late Cardinal George Pell “shared these ‘dubia’ and would have been the first to endorse them.”

Background

Magister provided a copy of the letters and a history of the events which led to the correspondence emerging now. (The correspondence is also found on Messa in Latino, on the site of America TFP, and is produced below.)

The five cardinals first wrote to the Pope on July 10, presenting him with five Dubia. This, according to Magister, Pope Francis responded to in writing on July 11, which was received by the cardinals on July 13.

According to Magister, the seven-page letter in Spanish bore Francis’ signature but “the letter displayed the writing style of his trusted theologian, the Argentine Victor Manuel Fernández,” who was made cardinal on September 30 and assumed control of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith on September 11.

Since this reply was “vague and elusive” and did not answer the Dubia, the five cardinals wrote again to the Pope on August 21. They rewrote the Dubia so that it could be answered in simple terms of “yes” or “no.”

This time, Pope Francis reportedly made no answer, which led to the five cardinals issuing the Dubia to the Catholic faithful, along with a note addressed to the faithful explaining their actions.

Writing to the Catholic faithful about the Dubia, the cardinals state:

Given the gravity of the matter of the “dubia,” especially in view of the imminent session of the Synod of Bishops, we judge it our duty to inform you, the faithful (can. 212 § 3), so that you may not be subject to confusion, error, and discouragement but rather may pray for the universal Church and, in particular, the Roman Pontiff, that the Gospel may be taught ever more clearly and followed ever more faithfully.

The five, clear questions of the rewritten Dubia pertain to issues which have surrounded the synodal process and which have also been expanded on by Pope Francis in recent weeks.

The cardinals ask (full text produced below):

Is it possible for the Church today to teach doctrines contrary to those she has previously taught in matters of faith and morals, whether by the Pope ex cathedra, or in the definitions of an Ecumenical Council, or in the ordinary universal magisterium of the Bishops dispersed throughout the world (cf. Lumen Gentium 25)?
Is it possible that in some circumstances a pastor could bless unions between homosexual persons, thus suggesting that homosexual behavior as such would not be contrary to God’s law and the person’s journey toward God? Linked to this dubium is the need to raise another: does the teaching upheld by the universal ordinary magisterium, that every sexual act outside of marriage, and in particular homosexual acts, constitutes an objectively grave sin against God’s law, regardless of the circumstances in which it takes place and the intention with which it is carried out, continue to be valid?
Will the Synod of Bishops to be held in Rome, and which includes only a chosen representation of pastors and faithful, exercise, in the doctrinal or pastoral matters on which it will be called to express itself, the Supreme Authority of the Church, which belongs exclusively to the Roman Pontiff and, una cum capite suo, to the College of Bishops (cf. can. 336 C.I.C.)?
Could the Church in the future have the faculty to confer priestly ordination on women, thus contradicting that the exclusive reservation of this sacrament to baptized males belongs to the very substance of the Sacrament of Orders, which the Church cannot change?
Can a penitent who, while admitting a sin, refuses to make, in any way, the intention not to commit it again, validly receive sacramental absolution?

1. Dubium about the claim that we should reinterpret Divine Revelation according to the cultural and anthropological changes in vogue.

After the statements of some Bishops, which have been neither corrected nor retracted, it is asked whether in the Church Divine Revelation should be reinterpreted according to the cultural changes of our time and according to the new anthropological vision that these changes promote; or whether Divine Revelation is binding forever, immutable and therefore not to be contradicted, according to the dictum of the Second Vatican Council, that to God who reveals is due “the obedience of faith” (Dei Verbum 5); that what is revealed for the salvation of all must remain “in their entirety, throughout the ages” and alive, and be “transmitted to all generations” (7); and that the progress of understanding does not imply any change in the truth of things and words, because faith has been “handed on…once and for all” (8), and the Magisterium is not superior to the Word of God, but teaches only what has been handed on (10).

2. Dubium about the claim that the widespread practice of the blessing of same-sex unions would be in accord with Revelation and the Magisterium (CCC 2357).

According to Divine Revelation, confirmed in Sacred Scripture, which the Church “at the divine command with the help of the Holy Spirit,…listens to devotedly, guards it with dedication and expounds it faithfully” (Dei Verbum 10): “In the beginning” God created man in his own image, male and female he created them and blessed them, that they might be fruitful (cf. Gen. 1, 27-28), whereby the Apostle Paul teaches that to deny sexual difference is the consequence of the denial of the Creator (Rom 1, 24-32). It is asked: Can the Church derogate from this “principle,” considering it, contrary to what Veritatis Splendor 103 taught, as a mere ideal, and accepting as a “possible good” objectively sinful situations, such as same-sex unions, without betraying revealed doctrine?

3. Dubium about the assertion that synodality is a “constitutive element of the Church” (Apostolic Constitution Episcopalis Communio 6), so that the Church would, by its very nature, be synodal.

Given that the Synod of Bishops does not represent the College of Bishops but is merely a consultative organ of the Pope, since the Bishops, as witnesses of the faith, cannot delegate their confession of the truth, it is asked whether synodality can be the supreme regulative criterion of the permanent government of the Church without distorting her constitutive order willed by her Founder, whereby the supreme and full authority of the Church is exercised both by the Pope by virtue of his office and by the College of Bishops together with its head the Roman Pontiff (Lumen Gentium 22).

4. Dubium about pastors’ and theologians’ support for the theory that “the theology of the Church has changed” and therefore that priestly ordination can be conferred on women.

After the statements of some prelates, which have been neither corrected nor retracted, according to which, with Vatican II, the theology of the Church and the meaning of the Mass has changed, it is asked whether the dictum of the Second Vatican Council is still valid, that “[the common priesthood of the faithful and the ministerial or hierarchical priesthood] differ essentially and not only in degree” (Lumen Gentium 10) and that presbyters by virtue of the “sacred power of Order, that of offering sacrifice and forgiving sins” (Presbyterorum Ordinis 2), act in the name and in the person of Christ the Mediator, through Whom the spiritual sacrifice of the faithful is made perfect. It is furthermore asked whether the teaching of St. John Paul II’s Apostolic Letter Ordinatio Sacerdotalis, which teaches as a truth to be definitively held the impossibility of conferring priestly ordination on women, is still valid, so that this teaching is no longer subject to change nor to the free discussion of pastors or theologians.

5. Dubium about the statement “forgiveness is a human right” and the Holy Father’s insistence on the duty to absolve everyone and always, so that repentance would not be a necessary condition for sacramental absolution.

It is asked whether the teaching of the Council of Trent, according to which the contrition of the penitent, which consists in detesting the sin committed with the intention of sinning no more (Session XIV, Chapter IV: DH 1676), is necessary for the validity of sacramental confession, is still in force, so that the priest must postpone absolution when it is clear that this condition is not fulfilled.

I received this early in the morning on October 6. I publish it here for your discernment. I was told the author is Lucas Gelasio from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. We will know soon (before October 31) if this was a true revelation or not.

On the morning of August 8th, a nun from the Northeast — of whom I have already spoken (https://casorosendi.com/2023/06/29/a-nuns-dream/) on a recent occasion — received another revelation. She’s not sure if she was asleep or awake, but she remembers perfectly to have spoken with Our Lord, as it occurs in an interior locution.

— Daughter, conflicts will increase… — then there was a brief silence.
— When, Lord?
— I told you through My Mother and My prophet. It will start in October.
— But how will this come to pass?
— In the City of Sun, in Poland, a dangerous artifact will burst. This will lead other nations to enter into war. Some, because they will be hit; others to fight for their allies.
— Then will it be WW3 worldwide?
— It will be the third major war, but not all nations will enter it. Those that do not enter, they will support the others through prayer. They will be for the most part very Catholic nations.
— And when will this war end?
— It will last a few years, but it will come to an end by the mediation of Japan. This country, which had two cities devastated at the end of the WW2, will demonstrate to the world the strength of forgiveness and, through a heroic act that will put an end to WW3.

The conversation ended there. After praying over what she had experienced, the nun did some research on the city. She found a village called Söl and a town called Nowa Söl. I add that it is possible also that the word “Sun” was not said in Polish, but in Portuguese therefore, it may refer to some city like Wielka Słońca, whose translation would be “Great Sun”. We don’t know which locality the prophecy refers to exactly.

I remind everyone that these revelations are given to us to let us know that God has control over everything, and that we must pray for the punishment to be mitigated or even suppressed. Let us pray for Poland and, in particular, for that location that was here called “Sun City”.

the nun did some research on the city. She found a village called Söl and a town called Nowa Söl. I add that it is possible also that the word “Sun” was not said in Polish, but in Portuguese therefore, it may refer to some city like Wielka Słońca, whose translation would be “Great Sun”. We don’t know which locality the prophecy refers to exactly.


So why is their a graphic of "Frombork" at the bottom of the page? I don't believe the town name has anything to do with the sun.

I located the city on a map, and one interesting thing is that is is just a few miles from the Russian state of Kalingrad, which is a part of Russia, not contiguous with Russia, surrounded by Poland, Lithuania and the Baltic Sea. Kalingrad is a hotspot in the current conflict because those two surrounding countries have tried to block Russia from accessing the area via train. I think it was also an important military zone during the Soviet area.

I've been checking on avalon way way more sporadically lately. I'm keeping my phone on a faraday bag most of the time to keep it at bay for a while. Still, 5/6 days ago, after time without being around, I just watched this video only, that somehow resonated greatly with me, it felt right. I must add that although I appreciate everything religious and spiritual, I don't consider myself a catholic per se. Something similar happened with the Anglo Saxon mission one (thats why I am here in fact)

Anyways, all this to say, that given what just seems to have started in Israel, I have a gut feeling that unfortunately it seems to have going this way, the fatima one, and the Anglo Saxon mission too.

Morality is Simple
Morality is simple - it is choice based on survival - dead things have no morality - and it depends on which law you follow.

In the most basic morality, that which is contrary to survival is immoral - like killing unborn fetuses. No civilization that kills its unborn is truly civilized, no matter what lame excuse is concocted.

Beyond the basic morality of survival, there are two sets of laws:
1. Law of love, and
2. Law of the jungle.

Under the law of love, harmless activity in support of one's right to life is moral / good. Harmful action is bad. Self sacrifice for others is the highest good.

Under the law of the jungle, predators are good, and prey are good to eat. Prey who fight back are bad. Sacrificing others for one’s own gain is the rule, not the exception. Self preservation is paramount.

So when we're misled to assume that there are no real moral value systems - it's code for PREDATORS telling their PREY to stop resisting and willingly cooperate in their demise.

When you are trained to ignore civilized law - the law of love - and are trained in jungle law - you are working against your greatest good. To predators, winning is everything. However, using evil to defeat evil insures that evil is victorious.

It's an hour-long documentary about the famous Marian message conveyed to Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa at Akita, Japan in 1973, but if you know the most interesting details of that, you also know a lot about the Third Secret of Fatima. The documentary's narrator needs a little better editing in some places, but the theme is fascinating.

There are many references (and witness reports) of the statue of the Virgin Mary in Akita that began to shed tears, counted to have done so on 101 occasions. The phenomenon was even captured on camera and and shown on Japanese TV, and laboratory analysis showed the tears to be "of human origin". It seems impossible for any trickery to have been involved.

The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith releases a document detailing new norms regarding cases of reported supernatural phenomena. As a rule, neither the local bishop nor the Holy See will declare that these phenomena are of supernatural origin, but will only authorize and promote devotion and pilgrimages.

A new document from the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith published on Friday, May 17, has updated the norms for discerning alleged supernatural phenomena. The norms come into force on Sunday, May 19, the feast of Pentecost.

The document is preceded by a detailed presentation by Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, Prefect of the Dicastery, followed by an introduction and six possible conclusions. The procedure allows for faster decisions while respecting popular devotion.

As a rule, the Church’s authority will no longer be engaged to officially define the supernatural nature of a phenomenon, a process that can require large amounts time to thoroughly study an event.

Another new norm involves the explicit involvement of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, which must approve the local bishop’s final decision and which has the authority to intervene motu proprio at any time.

Many cases in recent decades have involved the former Holy Office, even when individual bishops have expressed themselves. However, the interventions have usually remained behind the scenes and were never made public.

The Dicastery’s new explicit involvement also relates to the difficulty in circumscribing phenomena, which in some cases reach national and even global dimensions, “meaning that a decision made in one Diocese has consequences also elsewhere.”

Reasons for the new norms

The document originates from the long experience of the last century, which saw cases where the local bishop (or bishops of a region) rapidly declared a phenomenon’s supernatural nature, only for the Holy Office to express a different decision later. Other cases involved a bishop saying one thing and his successor deciding the opposite (regarding the same phenomenon).

Each event also required lengthy discernment periods to evaluate all elements in order to reach a decision on the supernatural nature or non-supernatural nature of the phenomena. These time periods sometimes contrasted with the urgency to give pastoral responses for the good of the faithful.

The Dicastery began revising the norms in 2019, leading to the current text approved by Pope Francis on May 4.

Spiritual fruits and risks

In his presentation, Cardinal Fernández explains that, “many times, these events have led to a great richness of spiritual fruits, growth in faith, devotion, fraternity, and service. In some cases, they have given rise to shrines throughout the world that are at the heart of many people’s popular piety today.”

However, there is also the possibility that “in some events of alleged supernatural origin,” serious issues that harm the faithful may arise. These include cases where from the alleged phenomena, “profit, power, fame, social recognition, or other personal interest” (II, Art. 15, 4°) are derived, even to the point of “exerting control over people or carrying out abuses (II, Art. 16).”

There may be “doctrinal errors, an oversimplification of the Gospel message, or the spread of a sectarian mentality.” There is the possibility of believers “being misled by an event that is attributed to a divine initiative but is merely the product of someone’s imagination, desire for novelty, tendency to fabricate falsehoods (mythomania), or inclination toward lying.”

General guidelines

According to the new norms, the Church will exercise her duties of discernment, based on the following:

“(a) whether signs of a divine action can be ascertained in phenomena that are alleged to be of supernatural origin; (b) whether there is anything that conflicts with faith and morals in the writings or messages of those involved in the alleged phenomena in question; (c) whether it is permissible to appreciate their spiritual fruits, whether they need to be purified from problematic elements, or whether the faithful should be warned about potential risks; (d) whether it is advisable for the competent ecclesiastical authority to realize their pastoral value” (I, 10).

However, “it is not foreseen in these Norms that ecclesiastical authority would give a positive recognition of the divine origin of alleged supernatural phenomena” (I, 11).

Therefore, as a rule, “neither the Diocesan Bishop, nor the Episcopal Conferences, nor the Dicastery will declare that these phenomena are of supernatural origin, even if a Nihil obstat is granted. It remains true, however, that the Holy Father can authorize a special procedure in this regard” (I, 23).

Possible conclusions regarding an alleged phenomenon

The discernment of an alleged supernatural phenomenon may reach the following six conclusions.

- Nihil Obstat: Without expressing any certainty about the supernatural authenticity of the phenomenon itself, many signs of the action of the Holy Spirit are acknowledged. The bishop is encouraged to appreciate the pastoral value and promote the dissemination of the phenomenon, including pilgrimages;

- Prae oculis habeatur: Although important positive signs are recognized, some aspects of confusion or potential risks are also perceived that require the diocesan bishop to engage in a careful discernment and dialogue with the recipients of a given spiritual experience. If there were writings or messages, doctrinal clarification might be necessary;

- Curatur: Various or significant critical elements are noted, but the phenomenon is already spread widely, and verifiable spiritual fruits are connected to it. Therefore, a ban that could upset the faithful is not recommended, but the local bishop is advised not to encourage the phenomenon;

- Sub mandato: The critical issues are not connected to the phenomenon itself but to its improper use by people or groups, such as undue financial gain or immoral acts. The Holy See entrusts the pastoral leadership of the specific place to the diocesan bishop or a delegate;

- Prohibetur et obstruatur: Despite various positive elements, the critical issues and risks associated with this phenomenon appear to be very serious. The Dicastery asks the local bishop to offer a catechesis that can help the faithful understand the reasons for the decision and reorient their legitimate spiritual concerns;

- Declaratio de non supernaturalitate: The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith authorizes the local bishop to declare that the phenomenon is found to be not supernatural based on concrete facts and evidence, such as the confession of an alleged visionary or credible testimonies of fabrication of the phenomenon.

Procedures to follow

The new norms then indicate the procedures to be implemented. It is up to the diocesan bishop to examine cases and submit their judgment to the Dicastery for approval. The bishop is asked to refrain from making public declarations about the authenticity or supernatural nature and to ensure there is no confusion or sensationalism.

If the elements of the case “seem sufficient,” the diocesan bishop will then set up an investigative commission, which should include at least one theologian, one canonist, and an expert chosen based on the nature of the phenomenon.

Positive and negative criteria

The document lays out several positive criteria to evaluate the alleged supernatural phenomenon.

These include: “the credibility and good reputation of the persons who claim to be recipients of supernatural events or to be directly involved in them, as well as the reputation of the witnesses who have been heard...; the doctrinal orthodoxy of the phenomenon and any messages related to it; the unpredictable nature of the phenomenon, by which it is evident that it is not the result of the initiative of the people involved; and, fruits of the Christian life” (II, 14).

The negative criteria involve: “the possibility of a manifest error about the event; potential doctrinal errors...; a sectarian spirit that breeds division in the Church; an overt pursuit of profit, power, fame, social recognition, or other personal interest closely linked to the event; gravely immoral actions…; psychological alterations or psychopathic tendencies in the person that may have exerted an influence on the alleged supernatural event; and, any psychosis, collective hysteria, and other elements traceable to a pathological context” (II, 15).

Finally, “the use of purported supernatural experiences or recognized mystical elements as a means of or a pretext for exerting control over people or carrying out abuses” (II, 16) is considered of particular moral gravity.

Regardless of the final approved determination, the diocesan bishop “must continue to watch over the phenomenon and the people involved, exercising his ordinary power” (II, 24).

Sister Agnes Sasagawa, Our Lady of Akita visionary, dies at 93

Sister Agnes Sasagawa, a Japanese nun whose purported visions of the Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of Akita included stark warnings for humanity and instructions to pray the rosary and repent of sin, died Aug. 15 at age 93.

A parish priest in Akita, Japan, confirmed to CNA by phone that Sasagawa had died on Aug. 15.

The order to which Sasagawa belonged, the Institute of the Handmaids of the Holy Eucharist, announced that Sasagawa, who had been “undergoing medical treatment for some time,” died on the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. She famously received a purported series of messages from Mary and witnessed other supernatural phenomena beginning fifty years ago.

The local Bishop John Shojiro Ito of Niigata, who founded Sasagawa’s order and died in 1993, gave the faithful in his diocese permission to venerate Our Lady of Akita in April 1984 after eight years of investigation, finding that her messages contain “nothing contrary to Catholic doctrine or morals.”

Katsuko Sasagawa, born in 1930 to a Buddhist family, was baptized after the witness of a Christian nurse, who gave her water from Lourdes to drink. She joined religious life and took the name Agnes.

Sasagawa’s unusual spiritual experiences began in 1973, while she was still very new to the religious community.

On June 12, 1973, Sasagawa saw brilliant rays coming from the tabernacle at the convent. The vision happened again on each of the following two days. Then, on June 28, a painful cross-shaped wound, which bled profusely, appeared on Sasagawa’s hand.

On July 6, Sasagawa heard a voice coming from a wooden statue of Mary that was in the convent, which had been carved from a single block of wood a decade prior. The voice told her that issues she was having at the time with her hearing would be healed (which came to pass in 1974) and also that she should “pray in reparation for the sins of men.” The voice also taught her a prayer of consecration to Jesus’ heart.

Soon after, the statue of Mary developed a wound similar to Sasagawa’s, but on the opposite hand. Sasagawa’s wound eventually vanished.

On Aug. 3, 1973, Mary spoke to Sasagawa again, speaking of an “important” message that Sasagawa should convey to her superior.

“Many men in this world afflict the Lord. I desire souls to console Him to soften the anger of the Heavenly Father. I wish, with my Son, for souls who will repair by their suffering and their poverty for the sinners and ingrates. In order that the world might know His anger, the Heavenly Father is preparing to inflict a great chastisement on all mankind,” Mary is purported to have told Sasagawa.

“With my Son I have intervened so many times to appease the wrath of the Father. I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross, His Precious Blood, and beloved souls who console Him forming a cohort of victim souls. Prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices can soften the Father’s anger. I desire this also from your community...that it love poverty, that it sanctify itself and pray in reparation for the ingratitude and outrages of so many men.”

Mary then reportedly told Sasagawa to “Recite the prayer of the Handmaids of the Eucharist with awareness of its meaning; put it into practice; offer in reparation (whatever God may send) for sins. Let each one endeavor, according to capacity and position, to offer herself entirely to the Lord.”

Sasagawa’s second message from Mary came on Oct. 13, 1973, the anniversary of Mary’s appearance at Fatima.

“As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one has never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests,” Mary said.

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord. The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them.”

In January 1975, almost two years later, the statue of Mary began to weep — continuing to do so on 101 occasions over the next seven years. A Japanese television station reportedly captured the weeping — known as “lacrimations” — on film.

In an April 22, 1984 letter, Bishop Ito recognized “the supernatural character of a series of mysterious events concerning the statue of the Holy Mother Mary.”

“Consequently, I authorize, throughout the entire diocese, the veneration of the Holy Mother of Akita, while awaiting that the Holy See publishes definitive judgment on this matter,” the bishop wrote.

“And I ask that it be remembered that even if the Holy See later publishes a favorable judgment with regard to the events of Akita, it is a question only of a private Divine revelation. Christians are bound to believe only [the] content of public Divine revelation (closed after the death of the last Apostle) which contains all that is necessary for salvation. Nevertheless, the Church, until now, has equally made much of private Divine revelations as they fortify the faith.”

A shrine housing the statue and dedicated to Mary under the title of “Redemptorist Mater” (Mother of the Redeemer) was completed in Akita in 2002, and since 2017 has attracted some 7,000 pilgrims a year.

The Vatican, which earlier this year issued new norms mandating that the Vatican’s top doctrinal office “must always be consulted and give final approval” to alleged Marian apparitions, has not officially ruled on Our Lady of Akita. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the future Pope Benedict XVI, in 1988 as prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, let stand Ito’s judgment that the apparitions and the messages were acceptable for the faithful.

I once had the book in my hand and perused it for about half an hour for a presentation I did. I was in a public library. I do not remember that he provided any information that came from remote viewing or any other psychically derived sources. It all seemed like conventional research. I found it interesting that he discussed some apparitions that occurred before Eastern Catholic and Oriental Orthodox Christians. (Most of the ones I am familiar have occurred around Roman Catholics and Coptics.)

We should put this book on our wish list for the Avalon Library. Also "Penetration: The Question of Extraterrestrial and Human Telepathy" or anything else Ingo Swann authored.

Just read through the Introduction and Epilogue. Ingo does not include any personal information about Marian apparitions - he writes this as an objective researcher, but he takes the phenomena completely seriously.

He does put many of the events into political context, and many of them do have one. For instance, the Guadalupe incident (1531) happened when the church was not having much success getting Aztecs to convert, and when the Bishop, sympathetic to the indigenous people, was having a power struggle with the colonial powers that were quite abusive to them. Fatima (1917) occurred when there was a power struggle between a very secular government, many of the politicians Free Masons, and the Roman Catholic church - about two months after the final apparition, there was a regime change in Portugal, and the church had most of its power restored. Zeitoun (1968) happened in Egypt shortly after the Six Day War with Israel and Medjugorje (1981) was before the collapse of Communism and the wars and violence that led to the break up of Yugoslavia.

I am glad he included "Our Lady of Roses", the apparition of in Bayside Queens that occurred for several years in Bayside, Queens. The R.C. church vehemently distanced itself from this one. The visionary would frequently visit a statue in front of the church, and the crowds kept growing with each apparition. One the visionary, Veronica Lueken, would see Mary, but many people brought Polaroid cameras (the latest cheap technology) with them a photograph "angels" and other mysterious anomalies.



Our Lady of the Roses sternly commented upon such delicate matters as corruption within the Catholic Church, with special attention to the “evil” in the Vatican itself and among the clergy. Our Lady of the Roses referred to New York City as “that cesspool of perversion.” She warned of the increase of aberrant sex and use of drugs. She warned about the “creation of a youth without morals” through the implementation of the long-term psycho-political “brainwashing” techniques of education and television. All of this, she said, was preparatory to “the raising of a mindless generation of young adults who will accept without resistance the birthing plans of world hegemony.”

She warned of the adverse results of “rock-music business under the control of an international group who worship the Devil.” The Lady tackled the intrigues of the Illuminati whose “hegemony” was anti-religious, anti-individualistic, opposed to “freedom of the masses,” and “infused with control” both mental and physical. She continuously warned of the coming “world government and one-world Satanic religion.”

Flying saucers were “the demonic agents of hell traveling in transports.” Society was “riddled with false miracles” of the times and lusts for more of them. The manipulators hidden behind the structures of “money, media, and economy” came under continuous attack, while the “Russian Bear” — the Soviet Union and international Communism — was vividly denounced.

Sounds like she would have been quite comfortable on today's Avalon forum. :ROFL:
