For any of you, who like me, enjoy folks filming their environment I have found about 3 hours down-time this weekend watching this chap - Andrew - documenting life in DC, and perhaps more fascinating as well his photojournalism in around the seat of Government. Really intriguing and very watchable insights.
All in all, most engaging.
This video from April 11th sees him on his bicycle and doing a trip down Embassy Row where we also get to see where Russia's 'spies' hang out ( allegedly :) ); Barack Obama's pad and whole host of others.

Another Tuesday in Washington D.C. with the Biden clan (Joe, Hunter, and his sister Valerie) head out of the White House on their way to Ireland. I then caught the VP arriving before going on a random adventure around the city, taking in the sights of Embassy Row and Kalorama Circle before running into the Polish Prime MInister leaving the White House. After that was over I caught wind of an emergency situation across town with a building collapse. So we checked that out too.
Just a Tuesday in D.C.
I found this one particularly fun too: his ice cream hunt in the tunnels of the Capitol building, where he once actually worked about three decades ago.
This video from April 20th.

No Biden photos today, after nearly a week of seeing him everyday (and I will see him tomorrow). Today was about Capitol Hill and it was hot--like in the 90s, so I decided to go wander about the tunnels and hallways to find some ice cream. Didn't work out that well. After that we're off to the White House to see the President...of Colombia (I told you I wouldn't see Biden today). He did a meeting at the White House and then came out to speak to the press. In Spanish. Oh well. I filmed a bit and you can see what I see.
Show not Tell.

PenguinSix is an apolitical guy in a political town who likes to walk a lot. He has hiked over 17,000 miles (27,000kms) in the past six years and is still walking today. He is an American expat who spent the last decade in Hong Kong with his family and is now back in Washington DC, continuing his daily ritual of taking very long hikes around the city catching the sights and sounds of the city while live streaming to share with others. History, culture, life as an expat (with reverse culture shock), and the pitiful Chinese food in Washington DC are regular topics of discussion.
