This goes a long way to explaining the mess of the world today. The fact that most governments are disastrous to the well being of the world - the environment, the people, and all life forms, can be explained by a combination of malice by those at the very top and stupidity by the rest.

One DOES need some reasonable rules and governance, but currently, especially in the US and the West, their "rules based order" is purely left brain and thus stupid. Left brain perspective leaves no room for variances, exceptions, wisdom, intelligent leadership or compassion. Using solely left brain thinking leads to nuclear war and destruction, so long as the rules are rigidly followed. (Rules are more important than life).

It leaves out any possibility of wise and intelligent decision making. Purely left brain thinking is a closed loop system, thus necessarily entropic and is guaranteed to self-destruct.

Here's my own briefest summary, in just a fewparagraphs. Everything that David presents is true. But its not the cause. It's the underlying weakness. Everything else around takes advantage of that.

CIA mind control researcher and whistleblower Robert Duncan stated that the mind has no firewall. He meant this in a slightly different sense, but the common factor is that most humans don't have the wherewithal to withstand all the influences on them — basically as highly intelligent animals with an immortal spirit, often itself with little or no influence or control over the animal it inhabits, hanging on in there for dear life. )

So the uber-rational left brain is adept at justifying anything in its sphere or perception. That includes temptation of every kind. (I'm aware that's a biblical term, but it's still the best one to use.)

There's a mind-virus in operation in most of the 'western' world right now. Leaders and politicians of every kind are infected beyond any hope of change or rescue. And media propaganda takes care of the rest, with most regular citizens just as hypnotized by what their infected leaders maintain and urge people to believe.

In my personal view, the mind virus isn't a metaphor. It's a non-physical effect (not an actual 'virus'), but it operates as one. In many ways it's also like a parasite, inasmuch as it keeps its host alive. (The viruses that spread most widely don't kill their hosts quickly at all, if ever.) And looping back to David's thesis, our left brains do very little to protect us.

I think the left brain limitation is a piece of the puzzle, and is what made it possible - laid the foundation - for the mind virus/parasite to invade. The virus would have gained no traction if the majority of those in so called "leadership" positions had whole brain functioning, connected with heart (compassion) and wisdom. And sadly I agree that those infected are beyond hope of rescue and are beyond salvaging at this stage.

I've been thinking about this 'mind virus' for months, and I really do see it as a kind of evil, non-physical, infectious parasite which perfectly accounts for the lockstep views, policies, statements and sincere beliefs of 99% of all politicians, business leaders and media influencers in the western world.

This reminds me of the 1967 book by Colin Wilson, "The Mind Parasites". The concept of this sci-fi novel (146 pages) is not new, but more chilling now than ever.

The SECRET RULE of all government is "grow or die."
Regardless of the format and organization, any government that is stagnant or shrinking in size is BAD NEWS for those whose careers depend on government, whether elected or appointed officials, employees, etc.
SO, any excuse for government to spend more, tax more, hire more will be used. . . especially STUPID EXCUSES.
(Look at all those "new" agencies created - "Homeland Security" - "Space Force" - TSA - and so on)

The founders were aware of this tendency, and tried to nip it in the bud. Before 1820s, to be a citizen / elector, one had to be a property owner, tax payer, militia man, and held to a higher standard of behavior. In short, few Americans qualified. And with so few to tax and rule, governments were lean and mean. (Endowed rights cannot be taxed, and without consent, the people cannot be governed)

Unfortunately, once the founding generation was dead or ignored, the new generation cut back on the prerequisites and, soon, any warm body could vote... helped by free beer on election day. Thus partisan politics and "democracy" perverted the operation of government and it has been downhill ever since.

Addendum : to "stupid government"

I grew up in a Federal Housing Project. This project was built as shoddily as code would allow. And stupid is a compliment to the "genius" that designed it. They made blocks with 8 apartments in each. Not unlike a townhouse, side by side, but ugly. I realize that it is public policy that po' folks never can live better than their "betters." But. OMG. Even the Soviet Union's projects had more common sense. Instead of grass, each apartment had a crushed stone "front yard." You couldn't do anything with it. Kids couldn't play on it. In our end apartment, the drain pipe had an access cap in the closet. And you guessed it - every year or so - "waste" would bubble up through the cap as the line would clog. Oh joy.

The walls were concrete block. That's not all bad, but they weren't insulated. Of course, the government provided the hot water heating as part of the rent. BUT no insulation meant they were wasting $$$ every winter.

The poured concrete floors had a faux tile overlay that was impossible to keep clean. I don't know what the composition was, but nothing would work. Scouring with Brillo pads would not cut the crud.

It's no surprise that most federal projects were demolished or abandoned.

Bill, I don't want to take this thread too far off topic but I honestly believe that the mind virus you referring to is easily explained. It is simply good vs evil. While some people are consciously choosing sides most are aligning behind good or evil without really understanding what they are doing or the consequences of their actions. There are many examples, especially in politics but the best example of what I am talking about can be understood when it comes to the gender issues the world is grappling to understand.

If evil can make you believe that there are more than two genders or that men can give birth or that menstrual material should be put in all men's bathrooms then you have already aligned with evil. A harder issue to come to terms with is war, people that believe that war is justified or necessary have clearly aligned with evil.

Also as a footnote, there certainly is "stupid government" but I believe we have moved beyond the realm of stupid and entered the domain of evil government. Making this distinction is not hard and it has become necessary to get our terminology more accurate. Where this is all going is for another thread.

This was because I was looking at the unintelligent systems and people that render silly, inhuman and non optimum results. But as Bill, Sue and rgray have shown, this topic definitely wants to include the mind virus (weitiko?) aspect, as well as the hacking aspect raised by Isserley above.

This is a vast and complex topic.

The reason I am focused on governments is that they are the instruments - the tools - weaponized against all life now. In a sense, they always have been, but this is now on a global, synchronized scale. Of course they are directed behind the scenes by cults, and in public by Corporations (Public-Private partnerships), all of whom have now been shown to have an evil agenda - wiping out humans, suppressing them, crushing innovation and intelligent design with their legal systems, armies and police, in Australia going and killing the bees, everywhere cutting down trees for 5G towers, killing chickens and animals, poisoning the air, water and food and so on. Utter madness.

I thought the left-brain thinking video by David Icke was a very good start to this topic as it addresses the stupid part. But the evil and insane part are now rampant and I am not sure how long we have left to discuss these issues freely, so wanted to put it on the table now. The interesting factor in play here, I'd suggest. is that the 'stupidity, evil and insanity' is all near-identical.

When a smallpox virus (e.g.) infects part of the population, the symptoms are all the same. That's how come we know it's a virus (which in many cases becomes very infectious) — and not just an isolated bodily malfunction of some kind.

I see this really as a War on Consciousness between those who are connected to Source, Creator, God or the UCC as remote viewer Marty Rosenblatt would call it and those who have become disconnected from Source. This is always a hmmmm...question for me.

Know from previous lifes that this question keeps cropping for me, what can we do to stop the fighting, to come to an agreement, to bring social order, because if all we are doing is fighting and trying to control each other, what is the point, it's seemlingly endless cycle of destruction, mistrust and degradation of the Human experience.

This what I'll call "Force" I wouldn't say is evil or postive. This force has been on Earth for a very long time. This Force does not mind peace but has it's own version of Peace. This Force seems to want to progress Human Race in a direction towards something, seems like moving a large herd, not caring how many is lost, but get enough to the end destintion.

This "Force" does not seem to care about one's beliefs/views of themseleves and or EGO. in fact, this Force seemling will use such beleifs/EGO to manipulate to a goal. if the goal is not met, it's still a success since the Human time as been spent on goals not impacting the Force progress.

I would like to emphasize one issue that Bill made in this post, although it was minor compared to the rest of it. No human in this realm is accurate 100% of the time. I am writing this for myself as much as sharing it. No matter how sincere and accurate they are most of the time, they can be off the mark at times, thus the importance of developing discernment and always checking in with you own inner guidance system as to the accuracy of the information before adapting any information into your way of being. Be prepared to let go of the old if it no longer benefits you.

Another point, even if something is accurate today and useful, things do change. I believe it is best to keep a flexible approach, not clinging to any dogma, ideology or way of doing things if it no longer is of highest service to you.

That is the difficulty. A fix for everyone on Earth right now, will be vary different for each person. This is why I think in NDE's, each person does not always have the same experience.
