How did it all start?

following up on both threads of what connecting us to PA here (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?121744-What-is-binding-us-to-this-forum) and here (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?114281-What-is-Project-Avalon-to-you&highlight=Avalon)

yesterday, late night, there was some issue with this forum, I was getting an error related to maybe SSL. confused, if it was related to my ISP or website itself.

so I was just trying to figure out if the problem is from my side when accidentally I came upon the forum archive which I believe back to 2008. going through the archive and old threads was telling me that the whole thing started in correct way and have been maintaining that way till today

suddenly a simple question popped up in my mind....how did this forum start? the idea? the name? how was it able to attract great minds people from the beginning? was it an individual idea? or group of friends? specially at that time!

how about the very old members? names like "Gareth" and "Richard"? it would be interesting to hear the history or story of this forum foundation...I gave it a try to google it but unfortunately nothing to be mentioned

As I remember it, The driving theme at the time of the creation of Avalon was the title of a little book called "Messages for the Ground Crew".

It was a phrase that different people understood in different ways though.

Some understood it to mean, 'run for the hills and hunker down while the human race collapses and resets itself drastically and catastrophically'.

Some understood it to mean something more like getting clear spiritually and engaged in supporting a mass positive shift of consciousness and condition.

Some probably self corrupted it to mean 'form a self congratulatory and smug subculture of people who think they are smarter and better than everybody else'.

I've seen it all here, and often felt frustrated and sometimes angry about the opposing and conflicting energies that go with that set of dynamics, but one thing I can be glad about, regarding this forum, is that all categories have a decent respect for the idea of being as well informed as we can possibly be. But, there's far too much information at the forum for everyone to be very well informed about everything.

We tend to be quite polite and respectful about the differences tho', most of the time.

Key factors: authenticity, living in self-honesty, open-minded approach, genuine willingness to learn something new, exploring "taboo subjects" that are more than often: overlooked, ridiculed, censored (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?80790-Internet-Censorship-So-it-began...), misrepresented, not really investigated, misunderstood, covered up, willfully ignored etc. etc.


Because it is a given that everyone can become a victim of dis-info tactics & psyops, having better protocols/principles to be more vigilant and using better discernment skills new people helped to shape a new approach with new set of standards (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?90689-Amendments-to-the-new-members-Welcome-Message) how to deal and cope with very controversial topics all done under the guidance & leadership from the Project Avalon founder: @Bill Ryan (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/member.php?6-Bill-Ryan).



These "new set of standards" in authentic conspiracy research & researching suppressed news of all kinds, is where Project Avalon Forum (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/forum.php) excels and definitely stands out ... in my view, no other "conspiracy research" forum on the planet that comes near it ... If so, please let me know! ... I truly wish there were more on this level!
