hey how is everyone? i was wondering if someone could help me. about 5 years ago there was a documentary that came on tv. it was about Iceland and the fact that elves and ferries are pretty much part of their culture. apparently kids regurlarly see them and interact with them. but when they go thru puberty they generally loose the ability to see them. it was a very in depth documetary. they even had the former president of Iceland talking about them. There are maps to where the elves reside. and they even showed a construction company that was waiting to dig in a place out of respect for the elves. allowing them time to clear out. apparently the elves reside in a different dimension from what i remember.
but anyway i was wondering if anyone had seen that documentary. if so, does anyone know the name of it?

That looks interesting.
Michael Newton said from what he's put together from his clients - or maybe it was one of his clients who said it - but, he said (paraphrased) the world was as though it had transparent overlays on it.
He also said that there were parts of the world where (again paraphrased to my own understanding) these energies or overlays were more able to be seen.
Thought - I wonder if it's this open minded perception which has allowed the Icelanders the strength to take on the bankers. Maybe they haven't bought into the system as deeply as the rest of us?
Or
Maybe they even had a little bit of help.

I haven't seen the film, but I have seen fairies - or at least that's what I think they were. Tiny little light beings. I was out in the woods by myself...
anyhow. ya, they're out there.

There's all sorts of accounts in Ireland and the UK as well. A runway for an airport was diverted due to it infringing on sacred elf places. Shannon airport I think. Can't remember. There's quite a lot of fey activity around here. People will hang out here to get a glimpse. Not tiny figures . Large looming stick like figures and doves the size of chickens with blue wings. I'm going to have to surmise that its not really another dimension they are in, but another level of perception . Perhaps our eye to brain to consciousness conditioning doesn't allow us to see them. Like it was expressed in "What the Bleep do we Know." We dont' see with our eyes. We see with our brain and if our consciousness decides not to see something due to a belief system then likely we will not see it. There is a whole lot of 'reality' our there we can't see so when we have these episodes its typically because the conscious mechanism that wants to blot them out is taken off guard. That may be why things disappear so quickly. We glimpse them and their gone. Perhaps they didn't go anywhere but our consciouness kicked in and erased them fro our perceptions. Out here I tend to view the fey as manifestations of earth , tree and other energies particualry the looming stick figures that stalk around. I fancy the notion they are tree consciouness out for a stroll. Their huge 8-12 feet tall.
When I was a child I was a vivid aura viewer. I thought nothing of this because I didn't say anything about it not realizing I seen something the rest of my family didn't. I took it for granted that everyone seen the same things I did. I never lost the ability for that reason. I wasn't conditioned not to. I can't remember how it was determined that I was noticing something that a whole lot of people weren't but by that time it was too late to condition my thinking otherwise.

Hi Mav-
I saw them when I was 25 (now 37). I was out in the woods, by myself. It was getting towards dusk. I noticed what looked at first like moonlight reflecting off the leaves of some low lying plants, about 40 feet to my left. As the dusk grew darker, the reflection became more brilliant. Soon it became obvious that this wasn't just a reflection. There were little tiny balls of light, maybe about 20 or 30 of them.
What helped to make it more plain, is that they got closer. I had turned my attention to something else for a minute, and when I looked back over, they had come a foot closer or so. They crept up over to me like this (I'd do something else, they'd move closer) for about an hour or so. Then they started to 'play' with me. I heard a rustling under the leaves by my feet, where I was sitting cross legged on the ground. At first I assumed it was a frog or a mouse or something. I'd look to see what it was, and the lights would advance another foot. This repeated a few times, until they were about 7 or 8 feet away.
The next time I heard the rustling, I looked back to see that one of the lights had branched off, and was now only about 2 or 3 feet in front of me, on the ground. In my memory, I see a vaguely humanoid form inside of this bright glow, about the size of a golf ball. I'm embarrassed to say it, but this all very much spooked me. I was alone in the dark, and the night before I had seen a full on ghost - like, a see through man only 10 feet away from me, which I actually HEARD crunching leaves as it approached, making me think it was a person at first, before I saw that 'he' was see through and white. He was just some guy in a jeans and T shirt with a slight beer gut, who walked on by. Maybe used to live out that way.
Anyhow. So these lights. I'd be distracted, they'd advance. I'd hear rustling, they'd advance. This 'game' lasted about 2 hours or so, as they slowly made their way past me, down the small embankment to the edge of the stream I was beside, and then off down the edge of the stream, around the corner, out of view.
And that was that.
I now have a sure fire means of getting myself an accommodation in a padded room, should I ever desire. Just tell the nice doctor about the fairies I met in the woods. Who played a game with me, frightened me, and disappeared. It was like they were playing some kind of "Boo!" type game. They're tricksters, sorta, I guess.
That was the only time I ever saw them.

I saw the spirit of a broccoli plant once.
I was preparing dinner, and I had this gorgeous head of organic broccoli. I was just, staring at it. Admiring it. It was truly beautiful. My eyes were drawn to their tiny, purple buds...
And just like that, this light sort of 'flashed' out - and I don't know how to describe it, but it 'looked' like a face, even though that's not exactly what I remember seeing.
It was one of the most beautiful experiences I've had.
Maybe because I felt so tenderly towards it?
This was a couple of months before I saw the fey creatures. I was involved in a lot of Native American ceremony at the time. I was more attuned to nature than I normally am.
I know. Straight jacket time....

Oh.. I noticed you asked someone else about communication... although I didn't get a 'message' from the fairies, oddly, I did from the broccoli. I was a vegetarian at the time. Part of the 'download' that happened, was a better understanding of the circle of life. I knew that there was no ill will about the fact I was going to eat it. The important part is that I loved it and treated it nicely. I went back to eating meat a few days later, only from more ethical sources. I knew that they key element isn't WHAT we eat, but how we behave towards that which we consume.
At least that's how it felt to me!

I saw this film once - can't remember what it was called, but if I do I'll come back and put it up, buu-u-uut, in the film out in the forest, if a person ate this particular thing it would speed up their perception to such a rate that they would then be able to see the pixies, or faeries who moved so rapidly they were beyond normal human perception.
Which makes sense - considering that our perceptions work on a certain time lapse/pulse/frequency measure (not very scientific I know, but I can't think of the right term). Apparently in snail land, things appear and disappear frequently, because they register things on a different time scale to humans.
Thought - perhaps the only things that define dimensions is our ability to be able to access them. Perhaps we are interdimentional - if only we could work out how to be.

Hi everybody! (I'm wanting to quote two different posts but I'm new here and don't think that's possible?) Something jumped out at me-a faerie maybe (heh)- when I came across these two posts. What if the ability to see such beings has to do with the pituitary gland and the hormones it begins to secrete at the onset of puberty? Our entire perception of the world is forever changed when we go through puberty and become aware of our sexual being-ness. I wonder if it plays a role in 'solidifying' us into third dimensional ROYGBIV density?

INTERESTING how you expressed that. The Oak tree is known as the Duir. Door. It's used to open the door. It's one of the most powerful of all trees in the Celtic wheel of the year, my medicine wheel is composed around one. Quite a lot of fey activity takes place around the Oak for that reason.

There may be some significance to 'getting in touch with the inner child'. I have a plat of vortex energy here in the woods that is all about inner child. You sit in the energy rising up out of the earth and you literally feel the wisdom of an adult and reconnect with the magick of the inner child. Lots of time distortion. I can sit in there for hours staring at leaves and have no idea that more than ten minutes have passed. People who visit express this by letting down their guard a lot more than they normally would. Or as my daughter says, Your friends act like little kids when they come to visit.
And there's lots of fey activity here. The first night I moved in here my daughter promptly lost her house key. Great. Five acres of woods not likely we are going to find it any time soon. . So she's sitting in her room with a friend fashed at me about chewing her out about the key, and it falls right out of the ceiling and lands at her feet.

ok, so I have lots of stories of interactions with the Fae, or faeries, as it were. To start with I will relay one experience from 2001, which was the year I, along with one particular friend, decided that if more people believed in faeries, or at least thought about them, then that would give them more energy to interact with our physical level of reality.
So, it was a saturday night and my girlfriend and I had been at my mothers house watching movies on the big screen there. When it came time for her to return home to her mom's house, her keys were nowhere to be found. We literally tore the place apart looking for them to no avail. I had an extra car key of hers, but her only house key was with those that went missing. Coincidentally, her mother stayed at a friends, so my girlfriend was unable to get in, so she left a note and came back to my mom's house. My mom got there and was entirely suspicious and really laid down the law about the sleeping arrangements. So, the next morning her mom calls and she goes home and my mom goes to church. Well, shortly after noon my mom gets home, and we are sitting at the kitchen table just having a conversation and the topic gets around to faeries. As usual, she is being very resistant to any ideas involving faeries, as her context at the time allowed only for angels and demons, god and the devil, and so on. I wind up making a statement that if any faeries know where the keys are at, it sure would be great if you returned them. My mom was basically taking offense at the statement, muttering something about the devil in relation to it all. A moment later I realize I am thirsty, so I stand up to go get some water and the keys are in in my right hand. I start laughing and shaking the keys and saying Thanks, Guys! Mom got really, really upset. She starts prayin and rebuking all over the place. I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed.
I literally have dozens of stories like this, mostly involving other people so I know I am not just crazy. :)
Mom and I have a better understanding these days and her own horizons are much expanded, I am happy to say.

damn. thats wild. i often wondered where things go when they just seem to disappear like that. and in my experience many times they turn up in places that you're shore that you already checked! in some cases i'm positive that things have simply dissapeared. but hey, maybe it's just those damn faeries. lol
the documentary about the faeries in iceland pretty much said exactly what you were talking with your friend about. the general consensus is that since fewer and fewer people believe in them, their ability to manifest in this dimension and interact with people is dwindling.

oh yeah it's the faeries, or fae, I usually say. It's not uncommon that I will lose something and I will talk to them, asking nicely that they return what they've taken off with, and said item will appear in the middle of the coffee table or on the kitchen counter. Saying the rhyme I posted above will, I believe, increase one's connection to them and/or get some favorable attention from them. I personally think sometimes I've honestly just misplaced something and they just bring it back. I truly love all the life around me, seen or unseen.

I used to live by an oak grove and spent most of my days with the oaks. Each one was a great friend. I would sit with each one and tune in, talk and love with them; watch the crows and magpies surfing the winds above us, and the apple grove higher up on the hill. One day I was sitting with my best friend oak and was in a total quiet blissful state. Below me, coming up from the dragon's eye pond, were 3 little fairies and a great lady, taller than the little ones, illuminated. One of the Fairies was holding her hand, pulling her over to see me. He pointed,"See, there is your daughter."And she sighed and I knew she was my mother, Titania, and that I had been sent here to work on our behalf. To help humans recognize the laws of nature, that there are other species besides ourselves that are conscious. And that the balance of our ecosystem is delicate and now in the tipping point we must use all our concentrated efforts and discipline to maintain balance and respect and work with all life forms.

I seem to have always been able to see various Nature spirits. I notice just some movement of some energy, that initially looks pale grey, out of the corner of my eye. Then it's a matter of shifting gears somehow, a little like looking at auras. It's very similar to how one turns on one's vision in another dimension, such as when astral traveling, except that I stay in my body. Although sometimes these spirits look like orbs, I can usually get them to show me their other form. When I go to some relatively wild natural location, I always look to see and communicate with the head faerie(s) who'll be in charge of the area. Most of the time I find this being (or beings) by "looking" at near the top of the tallest tree, or one of the tallest trees. These senior faeries have lots of light, mostly violet and often white.
There are earth spirits, fire spirits, water spirits, air spirits. The most junior of the fire spirits look exactly like Tinker Bell -- very human-looking except for having very slanty eyes (much more so than Oriental people), plus a small pair of wings on their back, and a bright yellow glow exactly like Tinker Bell. Some of them look ugly by human standards. Most, but not all of them by any means, look almost like humans, except for the extremely slanty eyes. Usually they have little horns as well. I suspect the depiction of "devils" as having horns and very slanty eyes came from people who were clairvoyant enough to see these creatures and who couldn't fit them into their Christian worldview any other way.
In my experience Nature spirits have often been extremely generous in trying to help me. If I walked through some parkland or other natural area regularly, its spirits would work very hard to find me whatever I needed. For instance, if I was looking for a good job or contract, for likeminded wonderful friends, for accommodation and so on, they would arrange openings and introductions for me very close to that area. I know it sounds unbelievable, but it happened many times in my own life.
Some people say Nature spirits are mischievous, but I didn't really find them so. The worst thing they ever did was that they would make sure my printer wouldn't work if I tried to print an essay for some course I was studying. They only interfered when my essay ideally still needed more work. So again, they were only trying to help you. Even though they did that on a number of occasions.
Nature spirits are all around you, wherever there are trees or lots of plants.
