I had a great morning today with my old school friend, we had a 'good chin wag' as we say here.
She told me something that I hadn't heard as it doesn't affect me; she was aware of shortages of contraceptive pills and HRT. Women are having to ring around pharmacies to find out if they have any in stock.
Those are two medications - which others are also in short supply, I wonder?
Many people here just rely on the doctors and don't look into alternatives; I was resolute in not taking HRT (or 'horse pi$$' as some call it) and managed The Change with natural supplements that never caused me any problems and I breezed through it. It's very common though for many just to call the doctor for prescription meds. Is there a black market economy for these medications in short supply now?
These are two medications that have alternatives, but it's worrying if there are any life-saving meds that are not available for those who need them. Few people here seem to be clued up on alternative and natural medicine.
