Although I have posted about this fake news source twice (once in 2018 and again in 2022), and have had objections in private ignored by the mods, I am posting it in General Discussion because I, like others here, am concerned about the Forum's integrity, and feel it is very impolite to call out fellow members in public whose posts I find objectionable.

The man behind one of America’s biggest “fake news” websites is a former BBC, MTV, and David Icke employee from London whose mother writes many of his stories.

Sean Adl-Tabatabai runs ThePeoplesVoice.com (formerly NewsPunch.com, formerly YourNewsWire.com) with his husband, Sinclair Treadway, and his mother, Carol Adl. It is the source of scores of dubious news stories, conspiracy theories, real news stories, and demonstrably fake news.

Carol, a holistic medicine expert, is a main contributor, with thousands of articles under her name. She said that although some of her pieces are “a bit weird” and “maybe a little satirical”, she is “giving people food for thought”.

Another prolific writer on the site goes by the name of Baxter Dmitry. The photograph next to the author’s name was in fact that of a Latvian computer programmer, who told The Sunday Times he was not Dmitry and his identity had been stolen. The photograph has since changed to a picture of a different man.

A June 12 article published by The People’s Voice attributes comments to the son of billionaire philanthropist George Soros.

"Alex Soros Vows To Eradicate Conservatives From the Internet: ‘I’m 100 Times Worse Than My Dad,'" reads the article's headline.

The article claims the comments came from an interview Alex Soros, George Soros' son, did with the Wall Street Journal. However, the comments attributed to him are not found in the Wall Street Journal article.

In a June 11 Wall Street Journal article, Alex Soros, 37, said he is "more political" than his father and concerned about former President Donald Trump returning to the White House. He also talked about his interest in different social causes, including abortion rights, voting rights and gender equality.

Soros also said he was concerned that free speech on college campuses and other places is becoming too restricted and expressed his belief in not silencing dissenting voices.

Well it's two things.

First of all, if it is in English, it probably doesn't hold water.

Secondly, if you can make any case of something being a bit wonky, we want to see it so we can identify how it works or what is said that is wrong or is omitted.

Once you start, there isn't a whole lot left, because, well, those with money delight in making "channels".

No, we don't particularly need a lot of personal ad hominems towards forum members, which seems to be what I get when disputing someone's story or news source. That doesn't make any difference to me. I just do it to non-members like Anthony Blinken. If he wants to sign up to defend his reputation, that's up to him.

I can understand, if, a few times, the internet being so fast, that something might get posted before the facts are clear. But when there is time spent and work done to spin fabrications, different ball game. The guy above sounds like Syrian Observatory on Human Rights, who also happens to include a few legitimate items along with whatever his mother would like.

As mentioned recently, you can rely on the BBC for football scores.

Now that I think about it, I have already deconstructed the site mentioned here.

It comes from the notion of getting shadow-banned by Reuters, who, in this instance, exposed the site being referred to (The Peoples' Voice).

I think I have commented about Sean Adl-Tabatabai in another post in the past.

I crossed paths with him when we were both working with David Icke at the People's Voice and I got a really bad vibe, it's even worse in person. I literally could hear the snakes hissing. I did watch a video he made recently and there was some interesting information but I really don't trust this guy. He is very selfish and manipulative and was partly responsible for the failure of David Ickes's The Peoples Voice project. Doesn't surprise me that he has stolen 'The Peoples Voice' name and is using it for himself.

Everyone was optimistic in the alternative community and excited about this. I even donated a bit of money back then to support it. All for nothing because of this man. So sad.

Yeah, same as has been said thanks for the post Bluegreen, super well put :heart:. I'm glad you didn't wait for the mods to do what you thought best, and you went ahead and took authority into your own hands.

Ultimately mods have a very crude technical power with banning, etc. The one thing that I think might be difficult for mods is voicing strong opinions, or correcting people's thinking. Us non-mods have much more latitude to get into each other's head space (more than a mod easily can) and voice strong, absolute opinions without causing offence that mods can't help because of their mod-ness, not because of anything personal.

The reason mods have to be careful like this is because everything they say is accented by that crude technical banning power they hold. The reason non-mods project forward about people with power like this is because they are nervous and smart. But the point I'm trying to make is: us non-mods are much more powerful to swagger our opinions around, try and get in each other's heads conversationally, and so we should. I suspect Bill & the mods rely on us non-mods for bold posts like you did Bluegreen, and I bet they're cheering this thread right now.

That's why you're awesome Bluegreen. Not a dig at mods, just saying I guess we've got a job to do and you're doing it. I don't blame the mods for not doing it. Also us non-mods are still vulnerable to causing offence due to bad influencing.

The video is from "What's Up Canada?" hosted by Wayne Peters, however, almost half of the content comes unedited from Sean Adl-Tabatabai. The really questionable, "new" and "shocking" story comes about 6½ minutes in, where there is an interview where a "witness talks about Justin Trudeau coming to a party and was involved in some type of child molesting type of activities. From the perfect inflections of the narrator, it is quite obvious that this "testimony" is an actor reading from a script, and there is zero discussion of where this "testimony" came from.

Yes, a lot of us click "Thanks" on posts we've never really read well or gave much thought to, and sometime later on read good criticism of the posts that deconstruct them and never go back and remove our thanks. So, I have stopped reading too much into the "Thanks" button - its more an indicator of how many member have passed by the post.
