I have heard it referred to as a digital wallet and it was said, "We have a digital wallet so now we need to put things in it."

They will put everything they can into it.

Making money digital will give the government total control over everything you do.

Imagine that they want to implement the 15 minute cities? This will help them do that. They can make it so you are only allowed to spend money (or make a purchase) within a certain area.

They could limit what you are allowed to purchase - "oh Mr. Smith, you have purchased too many apples already this week. No more apples for you until next month."

We know that once a government puts something in place or gets control of something they will not let go.

What they control and how much they control will only increase. The only way to get our freedom back after something like that will be through a total wide scale rebellion.

We already have this, they're just "Modernizing it"... It is called a credit score.... It is called a Tax bracket.... It is called the history of a billing cycle, such as power and water usage.... It is called a health index.... It is called a disciplinarian "Write up" at your career.... It is called a police record... and it is called social media.... to record it all...

Really there is nothing new under the sun, just ways on which they can repackage it to be more dominant in our environment. Hell, we have people self regulating these days, to the point where they're fanatical about it... Wearing watches on their wrists to make sure they get in enough steps for the day, down to taking their own vital signs, all accessible... Checking their credit scores, and shopping accordingly, opening up new cards just to get that number up...

We have stores tracking our purchasing histories, our pharmacy needs, our medical visits, and everything else under the sun...

AND ALL OF IT, is being tracked and gathered, and used by some agency or business entity...

This movie is pretty much exactly where we are heading.. But really, I think we are already subtly there...

The public facing smaller businesses and local governments don't integrate all that is knowable about me, and leverage that to enforce uniform tyranny.

My services of my local solid waste company don't depend on my politics, so long as I put out my trash the way that suits their pickup, and I pay my bill.

My local grocery store doesn't care about my credit score or academic degrees and diplomas, so long as I'm well behaved in their store and my payment (cash, credit card, ...) is reliable.

With the "digitization" of all services or nearly all of it, will provide governments with a much better accuracy to micromanaging (profiling) each individual on earth. The only goal for them is to have total control over someone's life, however many will debate the positive aspects of having better and more accurate services provide to the society, but the main goal remains the same, total enslavement of human race, which is the essential point that the majority are failing to observe.

and of course people can believe whatever they want and look only the "positive" side of it totally ignoring their liberty/freedom/privacy/anonymity/security/etc.. that is how it goes anyway.

Yep. The credit score was always a scam. I remember having a decent one, then I lost my job and maxed out a couple credit cards, using one to pay off the other, lol, and my credit card with the 6.67 APR shot up to 29.99 percent so that my minimum monthly payment ended up being $1 less than the monthly interest! And that's how they getcha. Luckily I had some investments and paid those cards off in full - want no part of that game. And that's where we find ourselves today. It's a rigged game. It's slavery outright. We cannot let this digital prison happen. If you thought Covid was bad, you ain't seen nothin' yet...

I think the social credit system is already active in the west but it's hidden.

Shadow banning is social credit system. Removal from paypal or other banking services is social credit system. Employment oportunity black lists are social credit system.

In UK there is already a system in place through which payments pass when we pay bills. At this point it's such a light touch that mobile phone users don't notice it at all yet. A person without a mobile phone, like myself, gets hit right in the face by it tho'. I don't know for certain but I suspect there is a new 'agency' inserted into the system that handles the credit calculating voodoo* so that banks and the rest don't have to deal with it.

They have to build it slowly and carefully so it's not very obvious yet but the embryo is developing nicely.
