Are there truly evil human beings?

This post is intended to start a discussion, I don't have the answers. It's just something I think about.

Are evil people are created at birth due to their circumstances?.

Is there a consistency in "evil" people's behavior? Are they always evil?

Can a benign person be evil if there is no apparent evil behavior toward others?

If there are evil people, are they evil in all circumstances?

Christianity spends a lot of time speaking about good and evil, is it the same in other belief systems?

Is there a place in the whole of things for good vs. evil? Is is a necessary force for moving the evolution of mankind?

I was watching this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QkZ8_mLCoA) yesterday discussing the same question!

Although I disagree with Richard Dawkins (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Dawkins) a lot concerning many controversial topics (among others how he deals with Rupert Sheldrake (https://www.sheldrake.org/)'s work and how he discusses UFOlogy (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/forumdisplay.php?38-Ufology-Extraterrestrial-Contact)) and that will not change after studying his latest interviews concerning Christianity asking LEGIT questions!

Sometimes the quality of the (deeper) questions are more profound than the presumed "answers".

Yes.

On a superficial level, I would say Buddhism is closely akin to Christianity, in terms of moral values.

Translated to English, I would say I Confess, constantly, work for Salvation every day, am on a course of Atonement, and fight evil wherever I find it.

The main difference is I suppose we do not re-ify Evil as a sanctified "state of being"; it is just a series of evil acts, which can be prevented.

The second difference is we do not have the finger of g-d writing in stone the rules we must obey.

Instead we have no answers--the *whole* thing that might be compared to "religion" is the chore of us figuring out for ourselves what works best. We give the positive values as axioms and it stops there.

Similarly, we have only one criterion of truth, i. e. does this make beings feel good? If not, then your "truth" amounts to a "pile of facts" which are basically useless and without soul.

The opposite is instantly sensible by what Patanjali calls "Citta Vrttis". This means a disturbing sensation like a series of whirlpools throwing one's nervous system into discord.

If by your very presence, you cause Citta Vrttis in other beings, then you ought to be expelled.

This is considered harmful, same as any crime.

The perpetrators may have been born that way, or, they may have acquired it, and so we have a variety of case studies where something went wrong. I have personally experienced so many of them, I remember little else, because it is not just the stuff that is in the news, there are plenty of "mini-evils" going around town every day. Perhaps about 1/3 of them could be described as "not having a soul"--they are so sick that in this lifetime, there is nothing that will eventually relieve them. Many others will repent if the suffering boomerangs and hits home. Not many will just wake up one day and decide "I don't need to do this any more".

As psychic Gigi Young outlines in her latest lecture, thousands of years of spiritual traditions, from both the East and Christianity, support the practice of exorcism, and therefore the reality that human beings can be very influenced and/or "possessed" by demonic entities, and will act accordingly to commit evil.
