Does archeology identify the location of the Garden of Eden?

Been following this channel for some time and the researcher has made some great discoveries found in the Bible using Archeology. I have always wondered if the location of the Garden of Eden could be found and this video provides some intriguing evidence.

Stan Deyo took the biblical story literally — and back-calculated that it had to have been located in what is now the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, a well-known and very rich wildlife reserve. (I'm as sure as I can be that he's all wrong, but his logic is very interesting. :))

How much has the topography of the planet changed?

This whole planet was once the Garden of Eden :(

For what it's worth for our mundane minds, a very highly evolved (incarnated) Teacher told me that the Garden of Eden was located in today's Egypt. Due to the huge earth changes since then, it's far below the current surface.

The Islamic and Mandaean belief is that it is in Sri Lanka. This idea most likely pre-dates the Bible by centuries.

It is not the idea of the Lankans themselves, and probably represents the impression made on Arab traders.

I don't think such geographical notions add anything of value; I suppose Eden, Atlantis, etc., may perhaps be alright for "geography during a time period", whereas I would say Genesis is a fabrication. I am not sure how to take a story of "the first man" seriously. It is relatively recently that "Genesis, 4,004 B. C. E." was taken quite literally, and, perhaps we are lucky this has not worked its way in to criminal law, however, its etymological cousin, "genetics" does give a pretty good picture of historical time frames and human movement.

I've figured if there is/was a Garden of Eden it's under water now. Could very easily have been the Gobi or Sahara areas too tho. Who knows what all is buried under all that sand?

Hi all, Appreciate the feedback.... I thought it was very interesting that the video explained where the three rivers joined and it narrowed down the possible location. Also how very warm & lush the location still is today. And at that same location Ratzinger is correct many sand dunes cover the confluence of the three rivers that joined. Also consider at that very location is a very large swamp area that could be hiding the Garden of Eden. Thanks again and maybe one day they will try some excavations in this area to see what is under the dunes & swamp.
