I'm surprised at both statements. I wonder why.

To my mind, Doug, you are a talented painter producing honest artwork. Meaning - Looking at the picture, I get the idea you mean every stroke. By contrast, again to my mind, Jeff Koons is a high-school level talent producing artwork that is not honest. Something doesn't add up.

Have you ever contacted local media to organize something?

For example, when I was looking for like-minded people in Amsterdam (early 1990s), I just started posting small leaflets in big supermarkets! ... Here in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 , all big supermarkets have a special place like a bulletin board (mostly near the exit) where you can post paper messages for free!

And because of that I get very fast connections going to places where I can rent a place with a huge discount to organize lectures for 50 up to 300 people ... with success! That would never have happened if I did not make a "showcase" of what I stand for and explain what my passion is to the "outside world".


I was pleasantly surprised to find dozens of fascinating people of all kinds who had similar hobbies/interests and that shaped my future drastically in an uplifting/positive way.

Now if people assume that they are alone and think that the vast majority are not on your level, you might be correct, but you also might be incorrect ... any unchecked assumption can deprive you of having wonderful adventures in life. The more awakened somebody becomes, the bigger chance you end up being depressed and even have anxiety issues. Thus, it is healthy to expand your horizon through action not just having unlimited: "insights, knowledge & assumed wisdom".

If you already know all that, and you practice it for years, have you learned something more that we all can consider doing?


My response is meant for all Avalonians (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/memberlist.php?order=desc&sort=posts&pp=99) having issues with life in general.

So organizing an art-gallery can be done if you know how to set all the parameters that are needed (brainstorming with like-minded people) to get a result you wish for :)

But maybe I am rambling way too much, about things you already know ... or you do not want to do anything like that ... and keep it as it is, being fully content with that.

John , many thanks for your comments. Im by choice , fairly reclusive. I also feel my station in all is self imposed, self created but not without some cause, being cheated and played by an art dealer years ago.
But that being said, I am constantly in the creative process, and not with wearing the business hat. My Musical , www.Hypnotta.com has pre occupied my last 10 years. It was divinely inspired and will be on the stage some day.
Hopefully by then, I will still be on the grand stage as well
