Putin has remained poised and logical in the face of evil.

Putin knows the gravity of the situation and he will not risk his position out of emotion.

Since 1993, mourning has been declared in the country 29 times. 28 times - in connection with disasters, accidents, fires, terrorist attacks and the consequences of military operations.

When mourning was declared in the Russian Federation due to terrorist attacks:

- June 22, 1995 - in connection with the death of 129 people as a result of an attack by Chechen militants on June 14 on Budennovsk;

- October 28, 2002 - in connection with the capture of spectators of the musical “Nord-Ost” in Moscow. From 23 to 26 October, 130 people died;

- August 26, 2004 - in connection with the terrorist attacks of August 24, as a result of which Tu-154B-2 and Tu-134A-3 passenger planes taking off from Domodedovo airport exploded almost simultaneously over the Rostov and Tula regions. 89 people died;

- September 6-7, 2004 - in connection with the seizure of city school No. 1 in Beslan by terrorists on September 1-3. 334 people died, including 186 children;

- November 1, 2015 - in connection with the terrorist attack on board an Airbus A321 aircraft in Egypt on October 31. 224 people died, 219 of them were Russians.

Moscow’s Basmanny Court has arrested three more suspects allegedly connected to Friday’s deadly terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall, the court’s press service has reported. The detainees will remain in custody until at least May 22.

A day earlier, the same court arrested four men who investigators believe carried out the shooting spree, which has left at least 133 people dead and scores wounded.

The three suspects – Aminchon Islomov, Dilovar Islomov and their 62-year-old father Isroil Islomov – are accused of being involved in organizing the terrorist act, according to Russia’s Investigative Committee.

In an application to the court shared on the service’s Telegram channel, investigators claimed that one of the gunmen, Shamsidin Fariduni, is believed to have recruited Aminchon Islomov in January to join his organized terrorist group, with the goal of committing a terrorist act. No later than on March 11, he is thought to have also recruited Dilovar Islomov, investigators say, demanding the immediate arrest of the two brothers as well as their father.

According to Russian media outlets, Dilovar Islomov is believed to have been the last owner of the white Renault which was allegedly used as a getaway vehicle by the terrorists as part of their plan. However, no official details as to how the three relatives were connected to the incident have yet been made public.

On the evening of March 22, a group of gunmen armed with assault rifles attacked the Crocus City music hall in the town of Krasnogorsk, on the western outskirts of Moscow, just before a concert by the rock band Picnic was due to start. The venue, with an estimated capacity of 7,500, was almost full at the time of the attack. The terrorists killed the guards, shot concert-goers on sight then started a fire that quickly spread throughout the building.

Eleven people, including four terrorists who were directly involved in the deadly shooting, were detained in connection with the massacre, the Russian domestic security service, the FSB, said in a statement on Saturday. Seven of them have since been arrested by the court.

The group of attackers who killed at least 137 people in Moscow last week previously attempted attacks in France, the French president said Monday.

“This particular group seemingly involved in this attack undertook several attempts in our territory in the last months,” Emmanuel Macron told reporters in Cayenne, the capital of French Guiana.

“It would be cynical and counterproductive for Russia, and the security of its citizens, to use this context to try and turn it against Ukraine,” Macron added.

With the Daesh/ISIS terrorist group claiming responsibility for the attack “and the threats weighing on our country, we have decided to raise the Vigipirate posture to its highest level: attack emergency,” French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced on X on Sunday.

At least 137 people were killed and over 180 others injured after gunmen on Friday opened fire when rock band Picnic was about to perform at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow region.

The Investigative Committee said it detained 11 people, including four perpetrators, in the border region of Bryansk on their way to Ukraine.

Back in January, the German newspaper Bild wrote that Tajiks associated with the Islamic State of Khorasan group were heading to Europe from Ukraine.

And now the Austrian publication Heute wrote about the same thing, in connection with the terrorist attack in Crocus.

The publication writes that in 2022, shortly after the start of a full-scale war, citizens of Tajikistan arrived in Austria from Ukraine, who were detained in Vienna last December on suspicion of preparing terrorist attacks. Tajik and his wife, according to investigators, planned an attack using explosives and Kalashnikov assault rifles on St. Stephen's Cathedral.

Judging by the correspondence on Facebook, they were part of the same structure that took responsibility for the Moscow terrorist attack - an offshoot of ISIS, the Islamic State of Khorasan.

Austrian intelligence services believe that “there are a large number of suspects who are said to have reached Europe via Ukraine.”

“Putin is using the attack in Moscow to incite against Ukraine. But there are signs that radicals from there have quietly penetrated into Europe,” the publication writes.

At the same time, as the newspaper states, there is no evidence that those who committed the terrorist attack in Russia have any connections with like-minded people in Ukraine. As well as the involvement of Ukrainian government agencies in this.

How Russia and its people faced grief with courage

I asked a Russian friend from Moscow to write an article for me about how Russia responded to the Moscow terrorist attack in order to give German readers a sense of how Russians experienced the massacre and its aftermath. This is his article.

Despite all the cruelty of the terrorists' massacre, the Russian people rallied around a common goal, refused to be intimidated and thwarted all the plans of the masterminds of the monstrous atrocity.

Eight days have passed since the moment when all of Russia froze in silent horror at the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. On that Friday, March 22, four terrorists armed with automatic firearms and homemade Molotov cocktails stormed the shopping center building in Krasnogorsk and caused a bloodbath of unimaginable proportions. According to the latest information , 143 people were killed in the attack and another 382 people were injured to varying degrees of severity . Not all of the dead and injured were affected by the shooting: many were trapped alone in the fire that the terrorists set in the mall's concert hall.
How ordinary Russians received the news of the terrorist attack

The author of this article was also taken by surprise by the news of the attack. I remember that it was a normal Friday evening, Moscow was resting: people went to restaurants, cafes and other establishments, walked along the streets of the city center and had a good time, just like the author of this article. At some point I received a call: “There has been a terrorist attack on Crocus, 50 people have been killed,” the voice told me.

I was stunned. I couldn't say anything. Many people around me did not yet know about the events and were simply enjoying the long-awaited evening of celebration at the end of the work week, but things were already starting to happen. I realized that as I hung up the phone, ruthless militants were shooting and burning civilians. Soon the tragic news reached everyone in Russia and almost everyone in the rest of the world. We watched with bated breath every step in the development of this bloody tragedy.

The night after the terrorist attack was difficult. Little sleep, lots of thoughts and worries, but eventually I managed to fall asleep. In the morning the picture of what happened became a little clearer, but many unsolved questions swirled in my head: Who carried out the terrorist attack? Why? Who ordered it? Why didn't the American secret services pass on any information about the planned attack? The questions were unanswered, although some of them were soon answered.
What has changed since the attack?

The situation in the country did not remain unchanged either: the people affected by the bloody brutality of the terrorists began to worry; Terror settled in their hearts, but only for a moment. Soon the horror was replaced by anger and unity. The multiethnic Russian people faced the monstrous blow with bravery and united even more towards common goals.

After President Vladimir Putin's speech, this became obvious and unchangeable. People understood that the choice of the perpetrators of the terrorist attack, namely to choose citizens of another country for the attack, from which many people living in Russia took part in the bloody massacre of citizens of another country, was not accidental. The commissioners almost certainly wanted to create a division in Russian society, turn one part of the population against another, trigger a wave of nationalism and shift the blame to people from Russia's neighboring republics.

However, the client did not succeed in this. On the contrary, almost every Russian understood that this was the goal of the terrorists, and the nationality of the perpetrators is irrelevant, because terrorism knows neither religion nor nationality. In addition, the Tajik people, together with the multi-ethnic people of Russia, mourn the victims of the terrorist attack. Tajik citizens living in Russia, as well as ethnic Tajiks who are already citizens of the Russian Federation, express condolences , bring flowers to spontaneous commemorations and help society recover from what happened in every way possible.

An important fact in this terrible story is the mass donation of blood by Russians. Instead of sitting at home in fear, reading aimlessly on various Telegram channels and panicking themselves even more, the people of Russia went in a huge army to the blood donation points to help the victims of the terrorist attack. Even when, according to the medical services, there was enough blood plasma, people went and helped mobilize society and help the victims. Terrorism has many goals, but the main goal is always terror, causing fear and destabilizing society. This goal has not been achieved in Russia.
What feelings does what happened evoke?

Personally, I would like to say that the events of the last eight days have filled me with a double feeling of sadness and pride. Mourning for the families left without their loved ones who were killed in the terrorist attack and who died in hospitals, and for the wounded who gave their health that day, and pride. Proud of the way our society responded to this despicable and brutally cruel blow. Every time Russian society faces tragedy, it is not with panic and terror, but with resilience and unity. This is the most honorable response to international terrorism as a whole and to the masterminds behind this attack.

I would like to once again express my condolences to the families of the victims and wish those injured a speedy recovery on behalf of the Anti-Spiegel team. The perpetrators will definitely be found, their guilt will be proven and they will receive the retribution they deserve.

Who wants to face the truth?

Hitler was notorious for not wanting to face the consequences of his actions.

But we see this in other matters as well. Hitler did not want to be briefed on air raids, refused to visit destroyed cities, and even had curtains installed in his train and car so he did not have to look at the devastation of the War.

Plausible deniability made simple


By this time, they should be no doubt about who is responsible for the recent terror attack in Moscow.

But that does not mean that the "Ukraine", the "US", the "UK", and "Israel" knew the details of these attacks. Their leaders didn't want to be told anything that that might disturb their sleep. No nitty-gritty. No nits that can be picked at. No grit to foul up the mechanism of government.

The guys at the top are rather like Mafia Dons - who just tell their henchmen, "Just fix the problem — anyway you like". Then, they pass them envelopes full of money.

There is a slight difference between "guilt" and "complicity". But in either case you should hang.
Let us keep in mind that the CIA, MI 6, and Mossad are the greatest sponsors of terrorism in history — with death counts higher than Hitler's. Now the Ukrainian SBU is playing catch-up.

Smoking Guns: ISIS K, Ukraine, Israel

American, Ukrainian, and Israeli support for ISIS is well known, with Ukraine a homebase for ISIS.

Ukraine, for years, has served as a key transit hub for terrorists travelling to and from Syria. ISIS militants were transported from the North and South Caucasus and Central Asian countries through Ukraine to Turkiye and then on to Syria and Iraq. The intensification of the flow of terrorists coincided with the Maidan coup d'etat of February 2014 and the new Kiev regime's war on Donbass. As a result, the Ukrainian security services paid little or no attention to the movement of ISIS fighters. Facing obstacles upon returning to their countries of origin, these jihadists opted to settle in Ukraine.

In terms of that (mis, dis, mal) information war, ISIS as well as Al Qaeda and Al Nusra were liabilities.

The European rights body is discrediting itself by ignoring last week's massacre, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said

The Council of Europe has disgraced itself by failing to condemn the recent Crocus City Hall terrorist attack near Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

The massacre at a concert venue last Friday claimed over 140 lives. According to the Russian official, the lack of reaction to it by the "self-purported conscience of Europe" is just "the latest shameful episode in the history of this organization."

"This line of behavior by Strassburg proves once again the deep degradation of the Council of Europe today, which has drowned in political hypocrisy and double standards," Zakharova told RIA Novosti on Friday.

The council's website and social media do not appear to mention the mass murder in Russia. Secretary General Marija Pejcinovic Buric has not reacted to it on her X (formerly Twitter) account. But she expressed solidarity with Iceland over renewed volcanic eruptions earlier this month, and with Germany over a deadly motorway crash near Leipzig on Wednesday.


As she rebuked the organization's silence, Zakharova contrasted it with the outpouring of sympathies to the Russian people from ordinary citizens of European nations. She added that the head of the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council (PACE), a related body, did not hesitate to speak up.

President Theodoros Rousopoulos said he was "deeply shocked" by the news of the Crocus City Hall attack and stressed that there was no excuse for "targeting civilians whoever and for whichever purpose does it."

Russia withdrew from the Council of Europe in March 2022, after 26 years of membership. Moscow has accused the organization of abandoning its humanitarian mandate and morphing into an instrument of US geopolitical ambitions used to enforce the so-called 'rules-based order'. The situation in Ukraine was a major source of Russian tensions with the body for years before open hostilities began in February 2022.

Below there are a few remarks about the Council of Europe and its relation with Russia.

1) While the Council of Europe is displeased with Russia, it has for decades been okay with various colour revolutions, and the participation of member states in wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yeme, much silence over Gaza... as if he destruction of the lives and livelihoods of millions of people, in fact whole countries, is alright as long as it is nominally in the name of democracy, freedom, human rights and the rule of law. For a dialogue to become possible in the future, where are the sides located today and what is the history?

Three new suspects in the massacre have been arrested in Russia, according to the security services

Three individuals suspected of having links with the terrorist attack at a Moscow concert hall last month have been taken into custody, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) reported on Thursday.

The arrests were made in Moscow, Ekaterinburg, and Omsk, according to a statement from the agency. Two of the suspects are foreigners while the third is a Russian citizen. All three originate from Central Asia, the FSB added.

One of those arrested was allegedly directly involved in recruiting the four gunmen who carried out the assault at the Crocus City Hall just outside Moscow two weeks ago. He also handled the financing of the operation, the FSB claimed. The two other suspects made donations towards the purchase of firearms and the vehicle used by the terrorists, the security services added.

The FSB released footage of the three arrests, but did not show the faces of any of the suspects.

Moscow terror attack mastermind is abroad – FSB
The mastermind behind the deadly terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall that took place in March is abroad, the director of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), Aleksandr Bortnikov, told Interfax on Tuesday. According to him, the agency has almost identified the main organizer of the massacre.

The attack on the concert venue just outside Moscow claimed more than 140 lives. Four gunmen stormed the building, shooting everyone in sight before setting it on fire. A total of 12 suspects were arrested in the wake of the rampage, including four alleged assailants.

“We can practically guess who it is. There is a main organizer who is abroad,” Bortnikov told the news outlet in response to a question on whether the FSB has been able to identify the mastermind.

He declined to comment more specifically while the investigation into the attack is ongoing.

“Since relevant procedures are being carried out as part of the investigation, we need to do everything in order to somehow reach out to him,” Bortnikov explained, adding that the FSB needs to ensure that the inquiry brings a “specific result.”

In April, the FSB director suggested that the Ukrainian security services may have been involved in preparing the assault, possibly using the Islamists as proxies.

Kiev has denied any involvement in the attack, while its Western backers have claimed that all evidence points to ISIS-K, the Afghanistan-based splinter group of the once-powerful terrorist organization Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS), as the culprit. The group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Russia’s Investigative Committee said in April it had obtained information that could indicate the suspects’ “connection with the Ukrainian special services.” Previously, the investigators claimed to have “confirmed data” that the alleged gunmen received “significant sums of money and cryptocurrency” from Ukraine prior to the attack.

More than 20 people have been detained in connection with the assault at the Crocus City Hall, service chief Aleksandr Bortnikov has said

Ukrainian military intelligence was directly involved in the deadly terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall just outside Moscow in March, the director of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), Aleksandr Bortnikov, has said.

He added that the investigation into the attack is still being conducted, but all indications are that Ukraine was behind the assault.

“The investigation is ongoing, but we can already say with certainty that Ukraine’s military intelligence has a direct relation to this attack,” Bortnikov said at a Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) special services leaders’ gathering in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

He said the preparation and financing of the attack, as well as the terrorists’ escape from the scene afterwards, was coordinated over the internet by members of Wilayat Khorasan, also known as Islamic State – Khorasan, or ISIS-K.

He added that two of the four criminals involved arrived in Russia from Türkiye shortly before the attack. Upon completion, he said, “the terrorists received a clear command to move to the Ukrainian border, where a ‘window’ had been prepared for them.”

The results of the investigation apparently confirm the FSB’s initial version of Ukraine being behind the attack. In April, the FSB director suggested that Ukrainian security services may have been involved in preparing the assault, possibly using the Islamists as proxies. He stressed that “all the circumstances of the crime will be established,” and those involved in this “heinous” terrorist attack “will not escape punishment.”

“We are currently establishing the full circle of those involved in the massacre. More than 20 people have already been detained, including the direct perpetrators and accomplices,” he said. Bortnikov added that “colleagues from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan” are assisting the FSB investigation.
