The biggest part of my fathers' family didnt survive Sobibor,the Polish concentrationcamp in 1945 .
They did not practice Judaism,many -like my dad-were kind of atheists.They didnt look 'Semitic' but European (like most 'Jews in the Netherlands)They did not speak Hebrew or Jiddish,but still they somehow considered themselves 'Jewish' .

.I onces asked my dad why he and his family identified themselves as 'Jews' ,and he looked me puzzled, didnt know what to say,and then after me pushing for an explanation he said ;'its our race ,our culture! '..
But the only thing ive seen in my family as 'Jewish ' culture was eating Matzes at Easter and the 'race' thing must mean there is some semitic ancestors somewhere in a faraway past .

Let's be clear about the difference between anti-semitism, and anti-Israel & anti-zionism.

Personally I don't waste any time about generalized 'anti' sentiment about any race or ethnic group or religion. It's individual behaviour that counts. There are very good and decent Jews, Palestinians and Arabs (all semites) in the world. No problem. Many Palestinians/Arabs are Christians, or even practise Judaism, although most are Muslims. Whatever. Again it's individual behaviour that matters. I personally know some atheists who behave like saints, and some christians who are chronically sowing discord and hatred around. (There are good christians too...)

But zionist apartheid Israel has inflicted extreme injustice and cruelty against Palestinians and Christians. There might be some good and decent Israelis who don't like at all what their government is doing, but the great majority of Israelis are okay with it, or want it even more repressive.

As for university campuses in Canada and USA, the pro-Palestine protesters are NOT protesting against Jews. Fact is, many Jews are participating in these pro-Palestine protests and are disgusted with Israel's genocide of Palestinians.

In the pure idea of stating you have a problem with and or even don't like the practitioners of a religion specifically it seems the one and only one you're not allowed to hate is Judaism.

Because some how it has been conferred that this is a race not just a religion.

I have actually read several books from Jüri Lina ,the Estonian author who made the documentary you suggested which i have also seen couple of times. I even had mail correspondence with him several years ago because i wanted to know why he left out from his books Vassily Grossman. In case people dont know he was the first person to report about holocaust to the world and the first person to write a book about it. But anybody who bothers to research Grossman will find out he was always full of sh*t and none of his reportings from so called german death camps were very far from truth.

Are you talking about universities in America or elsewhere?

In America there are laws in place that deny the mixing of church and state ... If you wish to learn in a religious environment you must go to a school by that religion, such as a Catholic school, Lutheran, etc... If you go to a state school or university, you are not allowed legally to involve religion in that school period. This is how we separate politics from religious beliefs.... AND it keeps our entire population from killing each other over what some "Scholar" believes their "God" desires for them... It makes people accountable to their actions rather than their "beliefs". ALL schools planet wide should do the same in my opinion.

So technically if you are asking why religious hate speech is not being allowed, it is because you are breaking the law... (In America) And it does seem you are talking about that, as you are referring to their religious books and therefore beliefs. A school allowing such things on their campus is also breaking the law if I understand the law correctly.

If you are speaking about another country, I couldn't answer why, but I would suspect much the same... They don't want such religious beliefs to become embroiled in their learning institutions...

I doubt you would get much talk here of hate as a general feeling overall for ALL residents of either country, Israel or Palestine... .... Perhaps of the behaviors of some, but most if not all PA members prefer love to hate... And while some behaviors are highly frowned upon, such as pedophilia, and or the eating of human flesh? Few if any, would suggest that an entire population should be hated, because of the action of a few... As we all realize that we are individuals with individual ways of thinking and behaving, and as such, recognize this to be true in all human cultures...
