I've recently been fascinated by the videos in this young woman's youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/@littlechineseeverywhere/videos

She is Han Chinese from the northern region of China near Shanghai and she has travelled around many areas of China making her own kind of travel videos, also using a couple of drone cameras to produce spectacular footage of views that have truly shocked my senses and perception of China.

The real people of China, especially the rural people, are wonderful people.

She has a European husband who only visits from time to time and they go on joint adventures for a while before she goes her own way again. The relationship puzzles me a little. This video is part of one of their joint adventures where they visited the small country of Brunei at the northern tip of Borneo. Brunei is a member of the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, the East Asia Summit, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation the Non-Aligned Movement, the Commonwealth of Nations, and ASEAN.

While watching this video I got a strong sense of it being an early version of the globalist's utopian dream of a re wilded world and a welfare state that provides 'generously' to it's submissive well behaved people who mostly live in the city while the rest of the country is wild life and natural beauty ( with well paved highways through it ).

I wonder if others will feel the same kind of thing about the country if they watch this video. I was almost completely unaware of this country until now. I only knew the name of this quite well kept secret. It's a Kingdom so I guess that should have been the clue, if I'd been paying attention before now.

I must recommend her other videos within China, they are mostly amazing. I've been addicted to watching them, on and off, for a couple of weeks now and it's changed me.

It's changed quite a lot since I was there in 1988, then it looked more like this....

I clearly remember the big building in the lower left with all the arches, many shops and businesses worked out of them. You could walk round the whole town centre in 15 minutes, one large block with a few side streets off it.

Nice find, Norman. Fine video, including the charm of the hostess and the seeming practicality of her “hubby”.

I threw a dart at her YT videos page, and got this, another very charming production:

Am not sure what to make of her enterprise. Matt and Winston say that use of a VPN, required to post outside the Great Firewall, is only permitted to assets of the C See P.

Didn’t see any vids about Chinese cities, in the few months back I scanned. Was wondering if the sky would be smoggy, or electric blue (CGI).

Fascinating vid, in a lot of respects, Sir.

Was heartened to see, around 8:20, righands using a hydraulic spinner, instead of the more hazardous spinning chain, to unscrew the joint after breaking it with the tongs. I only had to throw chain one trip, in ~6 years/seasons , and everything went well.

Tho those floorhands’ slowness, undoubtedly due to being carefull for the camera, would normally get yelled at by their driller (crew chief, running the controls for lift and brake and turn and pull).

Cheers, Ewan. Hope all is well for you.
