I have been drinking Essiac Tea for over two decades, growing the Essiac herbs and providing high-quality Essiac herbs for cancer patients and people who want to prevent cancer and improve their health in general.

Essiac Tea is not just known for preventing and treating cancer, it is a foundational tea that covers more health issues than any other single herbal tea. That may sound like a rather bold statement but it is the unavoidable conclusion that I've come to after studying herbal medicine for the pasty fifty years.

Although I've never had cancer, Essiac Tea actually saved my life by detoxing Big Pharma poisons out of my body.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of disinformation about Essiac Tea on the internet. So I've spent over twenty years researching Essiac Tea and separating fact from fiction with documented evidence of the real Essiac formula.

I produced several videos for the Essiac Circle of Friends and have a large Essiac Info section on my Health Freedom Info website so I decided to create this thread to reveal the truth about Essiac tea.

Flor-Essence vs. Essiac

Flor-Essence® (CA (http://www.florahealth.com/product_az.cfm?sbyletter=F&prod_id=158)/US (http://www.florahealth.com/product_az_usa.cfm?sbyletter=F&prod_id=335)) and Essiac®: two herbal cleanse formulas that are often referred to synonymously but in fact are made by different companies and are entirely different formulas. We often get asked about both of these formulas and find many customers are unsure of the differences. As a result, we wanted to respectfully point out some key differences and clear things up.

The History

Back in 1922, the Canadian 🇨🇦 nurse, Rene Caisse, was given the names of eight different herbs by a woman she met in a hospital who had originally been given them by an Ojibwa medicine man. Over the course of the next several decades, she worked out of her clinic and with various doctors using the eight herbs in various strengths and combinations. Eventually she came up with two formulas.

The Essiac® (her last name spelled backwards) four-herb formula was sold to the Resperin Corp. of Ontario. Resperin later dissolved in 1995 and sold the rights to Essiac® Canada International. Rene and Dr. Brusch decided to carry on using the original eight herbs in a formula that they had developed in partnership. This formula came to be known as Flor-Essence when it made its way to Flora after Rene Caisse had passed away and Dr. Brusch signed over its rights to Elaine Alexander, a radio broadcaster on health issues. Elaine brought this formula to Flora, and we’ve been making Flor-Essence since 1992 and it still bears Elaine’s signature on the bottle.

The Difference

There are also several key differences between Flor-Essence and Essiac® formulas Flor-Essence uses all eight of the original herbs Rene was given names of:

Burdock (Arctium lappa)
Sheep Sorrel (Rumex acetosella)
Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra)
Turkish rhubarb (Rheum palmatum)
Red Clover (Trifolium pratense)
Watercress (Nasturtium officinale)
Blessed Thistle (Cnicus benedictus)
Kelp (Laminaria digitata)

Essiac® contains the first four. The additional four in Flor-Essence contribute to supporting the liver and kidneys, provide important antioxidant phytonutrients, and have a soothing effect on the mucous lining of the stomach and intestines.

Essiac® comes in a 300 mL/10.5 fl. oz. plastic bottle; Flor-Essence is available in more economical 500 mL/17 fl. oz. and 941 mL/32 fl. oz. sizes and has always been bottled in glass as we feel this is a more inert material for liquids especially.

Another difference is that Flor-Essence is certified organic. At Flora we wanted to keep as close as possible to the original, traditional use of the product and so it is strictly water-based. We feel this is especially important when cleansing and detoxifying. Essiac® uses a base of water and ethyl alcohol.

We also don’t offer Flor•Essence® in capsule form because tasting the herbal tea’s bitter properties are important to the overall cleansing and digestive benefits. In addition, Flor-Essence is tested for a wide variety of quality markers including heavy metals, pesticides, and active ingredients in the herbs.

Flor Essence makes a premade essiac liquid. It's the same formula as GenuineEssiac.com's powdered herbs, but a different way of consuming them. Flor Essence is mainly concerned with shelf life and because of that they have removed the powdered herbs. However, Genuine Essiac's powdered herbs mean that you get to leave the herbs in the tea just as Rene Caisse did and just how the research shows works best.

Unfortunately, it is believed by many people that Flor Essence and the Canadian version of Essiac are actually Essiac. They are not. This is due to all the disinformation on the internet. And the story goes much deeper than that.

There were only a few people that Rene Caisse gave her Essiac formula to and they had to swear that they would never reveal it and take it to their graves. So no one knew what the Essiac formula was until Dr Gary Glum befriended a former patient of Rene Caisse, Pat Judson, after Rene's death. Rene had given her the correct formula.

Dr Gary Glum, a California chiropractor as well as a nutritionist/herbalist, eventually purchased the Essiac formula from Pat Judson and it cost him $120,000. He publicly released the true Essiac formula with the publishing of his book, "Calling of an Angel" in 1988. Before that no one knew what the formula was except for a few people who never revealed it and also Rene's best friend, Mary McPherson, who made Essiac for Rene and her patients. Rene taught Mary how to make it and what the four ingredients were.

Over a two year period I developed a friendship with Dr Glum and had many phone conversations with him. He had developed his own method of healing for world class athletes and celebrities like Wesley Snipes. He gave me the inside scoop on Essiac.

Dr Glum had also released a video at the time of the publishing of "Calling of an Angel" that exposed Big Medicine and Big Pharma and the eugenics agenda of the Rockefeller's, et al. These nefarious people used the IRS to attack Dr Glum and they stole his videos and nearly all of his books. A US Marshall even admitted at the time of the SWAT-like attack that it was not about the IRS--It was about curing cancer. He then had to come up with money to pay the IRS over a bogus debt.

Later, Dr Glum died at an early age given that he was a healthy man. His daughter sent an email to one of the Essiac Circle of Friends wherein she stated that she believed that Dr Glum was assassinated.

In researching and writing "The Calling of an Angel" after Rene's death, he met Mary McPherson and Mary was astonished that Dr Glum knew the correct Essiac formula and recipe. Therefore, Mary decided to officially release the correct formula with a sworn affidavit in 1994 in Bracebridge, Ontario. I was one of the people who ever obtained a certified copy of this affidavit from the Town of Bracebridge. I still have this affidavit today.

Later, a friend of Rene Caisse who intended to write Rene's biography, Sheila Snow, obtained letters from Dr Chester Stock of the Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute regarding the testing of Essiac re cancer. In these letters Rene stated that Sheep Sorrel Roots were a "very essential" component in Essiac.

Therefore, if Essiac does not contain Sheep Sorrel Roots, it is not Essiac. Flor Essence and the Canadian version of Essiac are not Essiac.

Furthermore, Dr Brusch and Elaine Alexander, the creators of Flor Essence, did not know the Essiac formula until Dr Glum released the true Essiac formula. Dr Glum also verified to me that they had gotten the four main Essiac herbs from him. They added the extra herbs as they believed at that time that Essiac was patented so they had to change the name and formula.

Rene Caisse never used Blessed Thistle and Kelp; it was added by Dr Brusch because he was a fan of those herbs. The Canadian version of Essiac also does not use Sheep Sorrel Roots and they use Indian Rhubarb, not Turkish Rhubarb. Rene changed it because Indian Rhubarb made Essiac taste bad. I have sampled their version of Essiac and I couldn't get past the smell.

Unfortunately, Sheep Sorrel is no longer grown in the US and it is imported from Bulgaria and Croatia and the quality is horrible. It is basically just dead plant material, falsely claimed to be certified organic. Sheep Sorrel is the key ingredient in Essiac tea, so these imported herbs will give false hope to cancer patients.

This is my article that I wrote after two years of conversations with Dr Gary Glum. He acknowledged that the article was correct and that he had indeed been threatened. "They eventually did threaten to kill him and his family and some have sought to discredit him." This lends credence to the email from his daughter that she believed her father had been assassinated.

He had cured a former MI6 agent of cancer with Essiac. The MI6 agent gave him information about the so-called AIDS epidemic, but it was not the whole picture. Dr Judy Mikovitz later published the inside story much later.

Thanks for letting me know. However, I don't use Facebook so can't join. Unfortunately, nearly all websites that claim that they add Sheep Sorrel Roots don't say what the percentage is in relation to the total Sheep Sorrel content. This is very important. One other company does but it also offers 100% Sheep Sorrel Roots and no leaf. This is a big mistake because the leaf is actually more essential than the roots. That's because the leaf contains oxalic acid which gives it the sour, lemony taste. It is the oxalates in the leaf that causes the body to detox cancer cells and toxins. The root does not contain oxalates. The Sheep Sorrel Flowers also contain oxalic acid, but not as much as the leaves.

Here is a photo of our certified organic sheep sorrel on the oldest organic farm in the beautiful mountains of Idaho. The photo was taken right before our sheep sorrel harvest when the oxalic acid is highest in the flowers. The field work consists of planting, weeding and harvesting followed by drying, cutting and then powdering the sheep sorrel in our hammermill.

We then store our sheep sorrel and other Essiac herbs in double-sealed bags with oxygen absorbers that remove any trace of moisture and deplete the oxygen. We then put the bags in metal containers in our air-conditioned storage room. The metal containers help protect the herbs from EMF as well.

The soil here is very rich in minerals due to it having been a glacial lake around ten thousand years ago called Glacial Lake Missoula. Sheep sorrel is a mineral-loving plant which contributes to its many health properties.

The conspiracy against Essiac by government, Big Pharma and Big Medicine continued after Dr Gary Glum was attacked by the feds for being the first person to release the Essiac formula and recipe. The next victim of the attacks was Dr Marijah McCain, whom I interviewed by phone. I was first introduced to Essiac because of her promotion and sales of Essiac. It was her Essiac tea that saved my life.

Dr McCain was attacked on at least three fronts including an attack by a bioweapon that nearly killed her.

Dr McCain was a world-class naturopath, master herbalist, homeopath and research microscopist with a following of a quarter million students and customers. She sent out untold numbers of free catalogs for her products that made her business very successful because people would pass the catalog around to their friends, relatives, etc. She sold many supplements and herbs but her main product was Essiac Tea.

However, the Attorney General of Arkansas tried to shut her down, so she had to fight the state's bogue lawsuit to remain in business. Then the Canadian Essiac company threatened her with a lawsuit for using the world "Essiac", which is a whole other subject that I researched and found that no one can own the word "Essiac" or be prohibited from selling Essiac herbs. However, Dr McCain ended up conceding to the Canadian company and relabeled her Essiac herbs as "Four Herb Tea". Apparently, part of the deal was that she had to sell the Canadian company's product, which is a fake version of the Rene Caisse's Essiac formula that tastes and smells awful.

However, the worst attack came from a helicopter that sprayed a genetically-designed bioweapon over her family's house in order to kill her. She barely survived. I covered this attack in my article "Chemtrails, Essiac & the Detoxification of America".

“My life’s been threatened already. I was nearly killed—let’s see, it was December, three years ago. I was very actively involved in the chemtrail situation when it came out because it really, really upset me. I was really furious because here I am a doctor and I’m trying to save people and what the hell is this crap that they’re spraying on everybody and I know it’s making us sick. I was very actively involved on the internet. I was actively involved with an organization in Houston. About 11:00 at night a chopper came over my house and hovered over the house and sprayed the house and almost killed my son and myself. I had complete kidney failure. My lungs filled up with fluid. I couldn’t breathe. I had to be put on oxygen. I was sick at least ten days—life and death—and so was my son. I lost my teeth over it. My teeth—I had really great teeth—but the enamel just literally came off my teeth and the inside of my teeth fell out. And that was within four months of being sprayed. And I still have the teeth to this day because at some point in time if this ever does become public, I’m going to sue the ass off them. But at any rate, I lost my teeth about—let’s see, from the time I was sprayed to the time I had my teeth done—it was approximately six months. And I tried to tell people—I had photographs, etcetera—and I tried to tell people and nobody would listen. And I said look, this is bad. You know, this is a very serious thing we’ve got going on in this country. I don’t know who the hell is behind this, but it is very, very serious.”

Dr McCain shared with me why she knew that the bioweapon from the helicopter was genetically designed to kill her and her son. She was a descendant from a native American chief, Red Cloud, so she and her son had native American genetics. The genetically-designed bioweapon from the helicopter did not affect her husband.

In my interview with Dr McCain she listed the supplements that she used to save her life from this bioweapon. Essiac tea was part of the arsenal of supplements that saved her life.

After my interview with Dr McCain I connected her with Dr Gary Glum and became the go-between so that Dr McCain could sell Dr Glum's "Calling of an Angel". Dr McCain died at the early age of 63. It is not known if that was the final attempt to shut her up.

How to Make Essiac Tea

Essiac tea has to be made a special way. People are familiar with making tea using a tea bag or tea ball, which is called an infusion. However, Essiac is a decoction, which means the tea is first boiled, then allowed to sit for a several hours, then reheated. Because most people are not familiar with making a decoction and often find it difficult to first make it, I simplified the process with drawings:

I make Essiac tea by the gallon because I drink it so much. I've been drinking it for over twenty years. I make it much stronger than most people. I have never noticed any adverse side effects from drinking it. I have only experienced very positive health benefits from it because it supports the organs of detoxification--liver, skin, digestive tract, etc. It also supports the pancreas which is why it is very good for pancreatic cancer and for diabetics as well. That's why I say it a foundational tea to maintain health.

This is a very special video because Hollywood casting director and documentary film maker, Valerie McCaffrey interviewed Mary McPherson who showed Valerie McCaffrey how to make Essiac tea the way Rene Caisse taught her. Mary McPherson was the only one that Rene Caisse trusted to make Essiac for her cancer patients and trusted to keep the Essiac formula secret.

Proof of the True Essiac Formula & Recipe

Here is the sworn affidavit of the Essiac formula & recipe that Rene Caisse was using after fifty years of experimentation and clinical application of Essiac tea on cancer patients. Before the Bracebridge Cancer Clinic was established for Rene Caisse she experimented on laboratory mice wherein she isolated sheep sorrel as the main herb that aids the body to detox cancer. However, Dr Ralph Moss later found that all four herbs are active again cancer.

Although Rene Caisse was very secretive about the Essiac formula, Mary McPherson recorded this sworn affidavit in 1994 after Dr Gary Glum published Rene's final Essiac formula.

I was fortunate to have obtained a certified copy of this affidavit from the Town of Bracebridge twenty years ago before it became unavailable. I am one of probably only a handful of people who has it. This certified copy has the same legal force as the original affidavit and can be admitted as evidence in a court of law. Before they sent me the certified copy of Mary McPherson's affidavit, I was sent a fax of it as well from the Town of Bracebridge.
