It would be helpful to know why certain news threads are closed - normally there is a note by a moderator as to why the thread is closed.
EG:
http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?12306-Obama-Announces-Detaining-Americans-for-Future-Crimes-that-Have-Not-Been-Committed
Thanks
John..

it might have been a mistake of the mods.
the OP should PM one of them.

Yes, I noticed this as well, and it is not only happening to news threads.
I think we deserve to know why the choice was made to close a thread.
Update
And here is another one...

I noticed another innocent thread being closed.
http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?11917-Can-anyone-suggest-to-me-ways-to-open-the-eyes-of-friends-and-family
Same MO, moderator contributes, with the result that thread is closed for no obvious reason. Looks like an error to me.
I PM'd Hiram for the last occurrence - as his was the last post on the other one.

I've sent a skype message to Richard - but need to go offline soon.
Looks like an error to me. There is also this post that looks out of place (not closed) but posted in a place most people CANNOT post to - so how did it get there - makes no sense http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?12285-Is-this-becoming-the-all-Charles-forum
My old moderator spidey sense is tingling :)
