A compilation of profound interviews containing insights from the late Freddie Mercury. "Cruelty is all out of ignorance. If you knew what was in store for you, you wouldn't hurt anybody, because whatever you do comes back much more forceful than you send it out." - Willie Nelson

I was lucky enough to meet Freddie & the Band twice as a kid, as a family friend worked for Queen.

Freddie and the band seemed laid back and friendly. Apparently Freddie held the band together, as from what I've heard the relationship between Brian & Roger was never as strong once he was no longer around. Understandable I guess, given the central role Freddie played.

Edit - Apologies I'd had a few drinks and was being way too honest about things in this post. In hindsight I had to remove a lot of stuff (about 3/4). I'm often told I'm a dope for saying too much private info online. :worried:

Freddie Mercury is perhaps my all time favourite vocalist, and Queen one of my favourite bands. I've posted in several places about it. To this day I find myself now and again turning off the world and closing the door to binge-listen their massive and spectacular catalogue.

Back in 1985 I came within one dratted inch of going to Live Aid with my brother. He went, I didn't, and I have forever regretted it. A host of incredible acts performed that day, but Queen stole the show. I watched every second of that performance on TV and wishing I was there with my brother. Me and him would go to Wembley together 23 years later, but that's another story.

Here is that majestic Live Aid performance side-by-side with its recreation in the amazing biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

The Story Of Queen At Live Aid ... Today, lets take a look at why Freddie Mercury led band, Queen, was so good at Live Aid. Without any doubt, it was one of the most iconic performances ever and is regarded as probably the best crowd singing moment in the history of music.

Since Freddy's passing... it was so sad day... every time I hear Rhapsody... this song will always have a special place in my heart... Queen never dies... it feels, like his last words or like he's giving us his own eulogy...
