Defining wokeness

I had a go, see what you think;

Wokeness is turning our own human instincts against us to control, confuse and weaken individuality. It is designed to socially engineer a 'global' person who will want the same things, have the same behaviours and peer police his friends and acquaintances. It is a racial cleansing mechanism without the mass murders. A silent weapon.

I think that's a pretty good definition Jimbobule. I would just add the following maybe...

"Woke" is a species of Marxism, which seeks to perpetually create conflict between the alleged "oppressor" vs the alleged "oppressed". But instead of the bourgeoisie vs the proletariat, it pits black vs white, man vs woman, trans vs everyone, able vs disabled, and so on and so forth.

It deliberately applies extra stress to naturally existing fault lines, all while presenting itself as the solution to those fault lines.

It's very purpose is to create conflict, to "agitate" as they say in the Marxist literature. And supposedly, a utopia will emerge from the conflict eventually (communism).

To create this conflict, it vastly exaggerates and flat out lies about societal ills/conflicts, and then offers radical "solutions" to those issues(problem-reaction-solution) which masquerade as compassion but result in nothing but chaos and destruction. I've heard Jordan Peterson call it "murderous compassion", and I think it's a good way to describe it.
