Magnitude 5.2 earthquake strikes near Isangel, Tafea, Vanuatu

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake near Isangel, Tafea, Vanuatu, was reported only 11 minutes ago by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), considered one of the key international agencies that monitor seismic activity worldwide. The earthquake occurred at an intermediate to considerable depth of 156 km beneath the epicenter in the evening on Monday, October 7th, 2024, at 8:37 pm local time.
