I've grown to really like this show. This guy goes to animal shelters and sits with dogs (particularly ones that have been in the shelter a while) and attempts to calm them and win their trust with a combination of treats of subtle behaviors.

Most of the time it begins with a frightened, sad looking and socially awkward dog hugging the corner of their small enclosure, refusing to make eye contact or even move really .. and it ends with the pup on Rocky's lap, enjoying physical contact and emotional warmth for the first time in ages. It's very heart warming.

The videos are pretty long, but it's not a bad way to spend an hour of your time if you're looking for something to do. This just happens to be the last one I watched:

I've been watching that show too, and enjoying it.
I skip through a lot of the footage when nothing much is happening because it usually takes quite a while before the dog's trust is won, but it really is heart warming to see the changes come about.

Seems so many Avalonians have the same, or similar, feeds! I also watch this channel. Those people do some great work, and it's always a joy to see these dogs transform with a little love and care. It's very touching to watch.

Dog rescue fans will also very much enjoy this channel, called Paw Squadron (https://www.youtube.com/@PawSquadron/videos) based in Bulgaria, where they have a huge epidemic of stray and abandoned dogs. This one guy travels the length and breadth of the country saving them from hopeless, critical situations - puppies mostly, many of the older dogs are beyond saving. He nurses them back to health then puts them up for adoption. The videos are relatively short (~20mins), and the thumbnails get a little (actually very) cringey, but they don't devalue the content.
