This is a question for expats - and especially those living south of the border, or in other countries that have recently seen an influx of illegals entering the US during the Biden mis-administration.
The Embassy here seems to know that I vote Republican, even though they never asked me. It seems that they look up the citizens that are permanent residents and match their voting records to them. I know this because I have received invitations to join the Republican group locally and never the Democrats.
My question is this - there will be a backlash. It will come soon after deportations begin, and it will include Americans living abroad.
Have you considered ordering "Hi, I'm Canadian" T-Shirts, or some other forms to keep from getting stink eyed and probably worse in the period right after Jan 20?
Slow service or even ignoring you; evil looks, higher amounts of light violence - all these are on the table in my opinion.
I have been a Republican all my life, although I am not the greatest fan of Trump. I would have voted for a stray dog for Pres. over anything the Dems threw at us.
