Doug, great interview/talk, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had an up close and personal UFO sighting in the early 1990s. To say that it was life-changing is an understatement. So much of Grant's experience mirrors my own with a few major differences. The one thing that we both share in common is that shortly after the experience I understood without any doubt whatsoever that the answers to every question we will ever have can be found by looking within. Seeking external validation can be entertaining but it (usually, but not always) moves us away from the truth. I have also experienced several downloads (as he calls them). The term that I have always used is that these experiences are absolute moments of clarity. It is my experience that the information is not really being downloaded. I believe we are simply being allowed to see a short preview of many different aspects of life, beyond life, the universe and more. My moments of clarity have been both verbal and visual and there is no doubt in my mind as to their authenticity.

I have not been able to put my finger on it but I am certain the UFO phenomenon is not what most people think it is, I am also sure that we will be given the information/knowledge when we are ready. It all sounds a bit mystical and esoteric but I think the truth will be easily understood. I have written about all of this on different threads over the years, including OBEs and other related topics so it was nice to revisit some of this info.

Grant is absolutely right to stress the importance of the reports (and information!) from experiencers. If we just keep on talking about 'lights in the sky' we'll get absolutely nowhere.



Yes, when a 'download' happens it's accompanied with the feeling of absolute certainty, like knowing your own name.



Grant describes the 'download' state of mind very well, referring to it as 'being in the field'. I've not heard that exact phrase before, but it says it perfectly. It's definitely an altered state of mind, even if very slightly so. I can now perceive when it's happening (even if rarely! :P), but haven't yet personally been able to bring it on purposefully.

Both of you nailed it, 100%, and I agree, the bottom line is indeed consciousness.

Where undivided focus goes, manifestation happens.

Also, lights in the sky give no information, other than that predictable lights like the sun, the planets, and fixed stars, confirm the familiar status quo, whereas unknown and unpredictable lights shift focus towards questioning that status quo.

As an astrologer that’s also my view of astronomy. Astronomers only see lights in the sky. They refuse to see the interconnectedness of the geometry of the heavens above with events below, and even personal experiences.

My first download happened in August of 1977, which gave me a realization of infinity, and beyond that a single Source that governed all and everything, while whispering in the ears of all who were reaching out.

Then came multiple UFO sightings in 1994, accompanied by massive power cuts, in one case plunging the whole of Costa Rica into darkness, with lights flashing across the night sky.

This stuff now is no longer a matter of beliefs, but true knowing, which has led me to make major life changes, like withdrawal from worldly matters, and instead focus on inner work.

BTW/ I applied my , no entertaining filler music rule and let the interview stand as is. Even as a songwriter and music composer, I feel we need to cleanse the palette now as there is too much noise and clutter.

How true that is.... maybe if we live every day (especially in 2025 when the stakes are high..) as if it were our last (which it could be)...... we can kind of purify the energy and Give Peace a Chance - on a personal and collective level -

Definitely too much noise and clutter everywhere so you absolutely did the right thing with your interview...
Keeping the over stimulation down is essential for our well being right now - keeping it simple could even become my mantra for the coming year :)

Hi Jaybee thanks for taking the time to listen. I told Grant I wanted to be somewhat brief yet content filled. I see videos of many including Derek Johnson going up to three hours or more. People have busy lives , who can sit and watch it all, and why? If I do more, I will keep under an hour as with this one.

The noise and clutter thing is a mission for me. Ever since mini keyboards and electronic came out where you dont need to be able to play an instrument, everyone makes music. Loops and holding buttons seems to do it. Hey thats great that all people can be creative but there is over saturation.

Funny but I remember my dad taking me to the NYGiants football game 30 years ago and in between plays, we just heard the collective noise of the stadium, the crowd, a plane flying overhead and it had an experiential quality I loved. We were having fun, we could breath and contemplate the space and the entire crowd at the event

Then came the idea of filling every microsecond of peace with blaring entertainment, music, pounding and mindless filling every gap, all to keep people buying, and buying .

I feel videos of content need to be content rich, and entertainment sparse. Anyhow, you kicked off thought in me, lol and Im kind of draining it now

On the topic of ETIs and Consciousness , I've only recently recovered something profound and first hand,
on the YouTube channel of the Monroe Institute.

In kind-of-shocking ( but not really) moment of revelation I found that Robert Monroe himself interviewed number of individuals who were prepared by his twelve level consciousness explorer project and were so gifted or intuited to communicate to/with extraterrestrial intelligence in personally guided, monitored and recorded sessions.
