A regional jet and a helicopter collided near Reagan National Airport on Wednesday night, resulting in the aircraft crashing into the Potomac River. As of January 30, 2025, all takeoffs and landings at the airport have been halted, and emergency personnel are responding to the incident. The cause of the collision is currently unknown and under investigation.
The incident involved an American Eagle flight, reportedly AA5342 from Wichita, Kansas, which was attempting to land at Reagan National Airport when it collided with a military helicopter. A webcam video from the Kennedy Center captured the explosion mid-air across the Potomac River, and fireboats have been deployed to the scene.
The DC Fire and EMS Department confirmed that a small aircraft had crashed into the Potomac River in the vicinity of the airport, and rescue operations are underway.
The airport remains closed, with the terminal still open, and officials are working to determine the cause of the collision and the status of those on board the flight.

Military website TWZ has posted this story, and has included some updates. Not much info yet, mostly press releases from military and airline sources.
The main value of TWZ, for me, is the comment section. Always some highly qualified/experienced commenters, on most topics, and IMO on this topic.
Here is a link directly to that comment section, made by appending #comments to the url. Delete that for direction to the article itself, or just scroll up.
https://www.twz.com/air/h-60-black-hawk-collides-with-crj700-airliner-over-potomac-river#comments
And here is an excerpt (continuous) that I see as valuable insight provided by commenters speculating on this event. At the time I copied this, about 2 am Alberta time, there were 213 comments posted.
Blame will eventually be laid, but for now folks are just mostly just trying to suss the circumstances.

I live just outside the DC beltway and sadly I can’t say I am surprised. I monitor the air traffic around here visually, through ADSB, and via ATC. The Army is constantly flying UH-60s around the beltway and down the Potomac. I don’t know why they do this but after following the Potomac down from Carderock they end up right next to DCA where this accident happened. They don’t run ADSB but OpenADSB sometimes logs the MLAT so you can find a logs of their paths. If anyone can explain why the Army does this I would like to know. I imagine it won’t happen going forward.

Too expensive to retrofit, time consuming and sometimes difficult to do, though typically there are work around. For a civil aircraft ADSB out can be installed for about $2000, though possibly not compatible or robust enough for the military. Add the military procurement process and there’s your answer, $2000 becomes $100k.

ADS-B may not have prevented this, as the UH-60 requested visual separation with the CRJ. It seems reasonable to assume the pilot in command was not looking at the correct CRJ. He thought he had visual on the traffic, and separation as well, but was looking at the wrong traffic. With only one crewman in back, it would also be reasonable to assume that the Non-rated crewman was on the opposite side from the approaching aircraft. TCAS would more likely have mitigated this, but my bet is it was a visual error and the UH-60 crew was simply looking at the wrong traffic.

It is also safe to assume based on the time of day that the crew was up on NVGs flying aided, which also reduces your field of view. Tragic for all involved.

I honestly don't think they have the technology aboard most/all helicopters to use ADS-B which is something I always have had an issue with.
Like I said in a post below, I get not using it overseas, and definitely not during war time.
But on general training ops in congested domestic airspace, if its the height of foolishness.
Not just ADS-B either, but here where I live in southern NJ we get a lot of helo traffic out of Ft. Dix and to see a four ship of very low blackhawks with only one having anti-collision light on always gives me the chills. It is way too close to a major airport for my liking.

ADSB is very common on helicopters. It’s the military that gets a pass due to cost issues and time constraints.
If you don’t know, there is ADSb out and in. Out is easier to add, in far more expensive and difficult. Out reports your data, In displays it. Out is mandatory in Class B (DCA), in and over Class C, (not below) and above 10,000 feet everywhere in the US.

Oh I am aware. I have an ADS-B receiver here at the house that I run via Raspberry Pi and feed all over the place, as well as being a A&P mechanic for a major airline so I deal with the tech every day of my life.
Military doesn't put anything into its aircraft that it doesn't need, including the ability to use regular navaid freqs. They almost had that F-18 run out of fuel over St louis a few months back because the ATC gave the pilot a VORTAC freq with a civilian freq.
It would amaze most people to know just how incompatible most Mil and Civ aerial nav systems are.

You would expect, especially with helicopters that serve a role like this where they have to get into the heart of the city that it would installed, switched of for security reasons on live flights but on for non security flights ( and yes there is a security risk there too, but i guess all flight info is one)

I did ask my coworker who flies blackhawks for the Guard after I saw that. He explained to me that usually when flying like that they are formation flying on NVGs.. And true to his words it was the last ship in the flight that had its lights on as well as its spotlight pointed down and slightly forward for maximum visibility to other aircraft.
Not saying it is a great idea as I am 4 miles as the crow flies from a major airport (PHL), but that is their procedure.

Sounds solid, i remember an episode of that aircraft accident program where a 727 hit a small plane even though they had information that it was in the area, with excellent day conditions, there were more reasons but 1 was that they lost the other in the dead zones created by the cockpit window styles

Replying to Ton Geen
When I sat in the cockpit of a C-17, I was surprised at how poor the visibility out was. When I asked the pilot about it, he said that they flew mostly on instrumentation, and had little need to look out the window.

Also, flying with NVGs would restrict your peripheral vision. Just what you don't want when an aircraft on approach is 90 degrees off your port side.

First MSN coverage, that I’ve seen, by German news org DW. Clips include several people, with their reporter based in DC starting off. A press conference is next, with 3 government people: a man referred to as Secretary, then the mayor of Washington DC, then the President of the airports authority in that area, then the mayor returns to finish the press conference off. Vid then has the DW reporter on convo with the desk, to the end.
I rate this as soft info, mostly a human heart-story, but I think they (DW) do it well.

To me, it looks like the plane (bottom track) flew into the Black Hawk (top track), not the other way around.

The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!

• Fort Belvoir is the headquarters of the Intelligence Command for all the Armed Forces. According to Big Data expert and investigative reporter, George Webb, Hunter Biden’s BlackBerry cellphone mapped to the Stratcom Communications Center at Fort Belvoir, configured and encrypted on the Hammer Network, an extremely secret signals intelligence program originally developed by CIA/NSA/FBI contractor-turned-whistleblower, Dennis L Montgomery for the Obama administration’s CIA Director, John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper.
Montgomery says the Obama White House provided 1,200 preloaded Blackberry devices to trusted Obama insiders, including to Hunter Biden and that the FBI and DOJ are in possession of this body of evidence. This would indicate that they have long been aware of Hunter and Joe Biden’s espionage activities, such as the sale of a US military manufacturer’s technology to the CCP via Hunter’s private equity company, Bohai Harvest.
Montgomery says the 1,200 BlackBerry devices, similar to those used by Obama and Hillary communicated over a closed encrypted secure network, known as PIN-to-PIN messaging that did not traverse the Internet, operating directly off The Hammer network. Each of those devices could access The Hammer Vault, a secret database of The Hammer’s illegally-collected data, including corporate and military intellectual property and US Defense secrets, accessible only to Obama Team insiders.
Montgomery’s 600 million pages of documents show that for more than four years before the 2016 election, four contractors working for the Obama Administration’s FBI illegally surveilled American citizens. Moreover, the FISA court was made aware of this and has communicated its findings to the Justice Department.
George Webb did not mention “The Hammer”, but he referred to an encrypted communications network designed to be invisible to the NSA, which he thinks were used by members of the Obama administration to negotiate Iran Nuclear Deal outside of the US Senate, which is supposed to ratify all treaties.
A month after President Trump’s first impeachment, on January 24th, 2020, I reported on a YouTube post by George Webb, which was taken down when he was de-platformed. In this post, George described being contacted by a Biden whistleblower who did IT work and who configured encrypted Blackberrys for Joe Biden and his staff at the Senate, describing himself as a “30-year friend” of Joe Biden’s. The Whistleblower met George over dinner and the former drank too much and he accidentally left his Blackberry behind, which Webb returned to him the following day.
George stated his belief that the reason why Hunter Biden was commissioned as the oldest ensign in the United States Navy, at the age of 42 – which is unheard-of – was so that he could carry this encrypted Blackberry with the military-grade secure communications network that is only Classified, in order to avoid being against the law with the NSA, while he went to “work” for the board of Burisma.
Although three Army personnel were reported onboard the Black Hawk®, it is not inconceivable that the helicopter was either 1) Operating with the transponder off, potentially indicating that a VIP was onboard, which the Army denies; or 2) Operating autonomously on the Hammer Network and therefore, virtually invisible to everybody. Initial reports said the helicopter was a “Washington DC police helicopter”.
Two weeks before the election, Sikorsky flaunted their new, “optimally-piloted” autonomous technologies being deployed in Black Hawk® helicopters.

Tragic Confirmation: Russian Figure Skaters Among Victims of Washington Plane Crash – Kremlin
The Kremlin has confirmed the heartbreaking news that Russian figure skaters and other compatriots were on board the plane that crashed in Washington, according to spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.An extract from this RT article (https://www.rt.com/news/611891-washington-crash-figure-skaters/), :flower:
~~~
Several prominent figure skaters and coaches were reportedly on board the passenger plane which crashed into the Potomac River in Washington, DC following a mid-air collision with a military helicopter. The list of victims reportedly includes Russian world champions Yevgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov.
The passengers included athletes, coaches and family members from the National Development Team, a training program for top juvenile figure skaters, The Wichita Eagle reported, citing US Figure Skating.
The city hosted the national championships for the sport last week, and some elite young athletes attended advanced classes there, the outlet explained.
Some of the skaters have connections with Russia, according to media reports. Yevgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, a married couple who won the 1994 world championship pair event, were on board the flight, according to TASS. So, reportedly, was Inna Volyanskaya, who won medals at several Soviet and international skating events with her partner and husband Valery Spiridonov.
Some outlets claimed that most of the young athletes came from the Russian-American figure skating community.
There were fears that American skater Ilia Malinin, whose family came to the US from the USSR, was among the victims, but he confirmed that was not the case. Prominent athletes have expressed their shock in the wake of the tragedy, including Malinin, Luke Wang and Ethan Peal.
A PSA Airlines Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N709PS performing flight AA-5342 from Wichita,KS to Washington National,DC (USA) with 60 passengers and 4 crew, had been on approach to National's runway 01 and was asked by tower whether they could land runway 33, which the crew affirmed, the aircraft was subsequently cleared to land on runway 33. The aircraft was on final approach to National's runway 33 descending through about 200 feet AGL about 0.6nm before the runway threshold when the aircraft collided with a military Sikorsky UH-60 helicopter call sign PAT25, both aircraft fell into the Potomac River at 20:46L (01:46Z 30.1.). "Tower, did you see that?" somebody radioed at 01:46:39Z. All subsequent approaches were instructed to go around, departures were halted. About 4 hours later no survivors have been recovered.
The airport was temporarily closed, subsequently runway 15/33 remained closed.
Tower told aircraft waiting for departures that there had been a collision on finals to runway 33, the airfield was closed and they should return to the apron and shut engines down.
Tower diverted several helicopters in the area following the crash.
A massive rescue operation commenced, with multiple helicopters over the crash site and boats were on scene for search and rescue. Emergency Services stated that due to the current temperatures people would have only about 15-30 minutes until hypothermia sets in and about 30-90 minutes survival time. Emergency Services reported they received an alert from the FAA tower about the crash at 20:48L (01:48Z 30.1.), a state and federal response was initiated involving about 300 personnel.
On Jan 30th 2025 at about 00:30L (05:30Z) local police reported, that fatalities are confirmed, so far no survivors have been rescued.
Eyewitnesses reported there were suddenly sparks and the aircraft rolled beyond 90 degrees and belly up, possibly about 120 feet above water, and plunged into the water. They could not see a helicopter.
The FAA reported: "A PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet collided in midair with a Sikorsky H-60 helicopter while on approach to Runway 33 at Reagan Washington National Airport around 9 p.m. local time. PSA was operating as Flight 5342 for American Airlines. It departed from Wichita, Kansas. The FAA and NTSB will investigate. The NTSB will lead the investigation." The FAA subsequently added the airport will remain closed until Friday Jan 31st 2025 05:00L.
The NTSB reported: "NTSB has launched a go-team to the aviation accident involving a PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 airplane and a Sikorsky H-60 military helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport."
The US Army reported a Blackhawk UH-60 departing Belvoir,VA (USA) for a training mission was involved in the midair collision. According to preliminary information there were 3 people on board of the helicopter.
@realDonaldTrump
The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!
• Fort Belvoir is the headquarters of the Intelligence Command for all the Armed Forces. According to Big Data expert and investigative reporter, George Webb, Hunter Biden’s BlackBerry cellphone mapped to the Stratcom Communications Center at Fort Belvoir, configured and encrypted on the Hammer Network, an extremely secret signals intelligence program originally developed by CIA/NSA/FBI contractor-turned-whistleblower, Dennis L Montgomery for the Obama administration’s CIA Director, John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper.
Montgomery says the Obama White House provided 1,200 preloaded Blackberry devices to trusted Obama insiders, including to Hunter Biden and that the FBI and DOJ are in possession of this body of evidence. This would indicate that they have long been aware of Hunter and Joe Biden’s espionage activities, such as the sale of a US military manufacturer’s technology to the CCP via Hunter’s private equity company, Bohai Harvest.
Montgomery says the 1,200 BlackBerry devices, similar to those used by Obama and Hillary communicated over a closed encrypted secure network, known as PIN-to-PIN messaging that did not traverse the Internet, operating directly off The Hammer network. Each of those devices could access The Hammer Vault, a secret database of The Hammer’s illegally-collected data, including corporate and military intellectual property and US Defense secrets, accessible only to Obama Team insiders.
Montgomery’s 600 million pages of documents show that for more than four years before the 2016 election, four contractors working for the Obama Administration’s FBI illegally surveilled American citizens. Moreover, the FISA court was made aware of this and has communicated its findings to the Justice Department.
George Webb did not mention “The Hammer”, but he referred to an encrypted communications network designed to be invisible to the NSA, which he thinks were used by members of the Obama administration to negotiate Iran Nuclear Deal outside of the US Senate, which is supposed to ratify all treaties.
A month after President Trump’s first impeachment, on January 24th, 2020, I reported on a YouTube post by George Webb, which was taken down when he was de-platformed. In this post, George described being contacted by a Biden whistleblower who did IT work and who configured encrypted Blackberrys for Joe Biden and his staff at the Senate, describing himself as a “30-year friend” of Joe Biden’s. The Whistleblower met George over dinner and the former drank too much and he accidentally left his Blackberry behind, which Webb returned to him the following day.
George stated his belief that the reason why Hunter Biden was commissioned as the oldest ensign in the United States Navy, at the age of 42 – which is unheard-of – was so that he could carry this encrypted Blackberry with the military-grade secure communications network that is only Classified, in order to avoid being against the law with the NSA, while he went to “work” for the board of Burisma.
Although three Army personnel were reported onboard the Black Hawk®, it is not inconceivable that the helicopter was either 1) Operating with the transponder off, potentially indicating that a VIP was onboard, which the Army denies; or 2) Operating autonomously on the Hammer Network and therefore, virtually invisible to everybody. Initial reports said the helicopter was a “Washington DC police helicopter”.
Two weeks before the election, Sikorsky flaunted their new, “optimally-piloted” autonomous technologies being deployed in Black Hawk® helicopters.
Analyzing the Mid-Air Collision Over the Potomac: A Detailed Examination of ATC Communications:
hfgllf1L9_4
On January 29, 2025, a devastating mid-air collision occurred near Washington, D.C.'s Ronald Reagan National Airport, involving an American Airlines regional jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter. Tragically, all 64 passengers and crew aboard the jet, as well as the three military personnel on the helicopter, lost their lives.
In this video, Captain Steeeve provides a somber and educational analysis of the events leading up to this tragedy. We delve into the available air traffic control (ATC) communications to understand the sequence of events and explore potential factors that may have contributed to the accident. Our aim is to honor the memory of those lost by learning from this incident and highlighting the critical importance of aviation safety protocols.
Pilot Blog | Mid-Air Collision over Washington | RJ-700 and US Air Force UH-60:
iTOSv9_9GOY
A PSA Airlines Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N709PS performing flight AA-5342 from Wichita,KS to Washington National,DC (USA) with 60 passengers and 4 crew, had been on approach to National's runway 01 and was asked by tower whether they could land runway 33, which the crew affirmed, the aircraft was subsequently cleared to land on runway 33. The aircraft was on final approach to National's runway 33 descending through about 200 feet AGL about 0.6nm before the runway threshold when the aircraft collided with a military Sikorsky UH-60 helicopter call sign PAT25, both aircraft fell into the Potomac River at 20:46L (01:46Z 30.1.). "Tower, did you see that?" somebody radioed at 01:46:39Z. All subsequent approaches were instructed to go around, departures were halted. About 4 hours later no survivors have been recovered.
The airport was temporarily closed, subsequently runway 15/33 remained closed.
Tower told aircraft waiting for departures that there had been a collision on finals to runway 33, the airfield was closed and they should return to the apron and shut engines down.
Tower diverted several helicopters in the area following the crash.
A massive rescue operation commenced, with multiple helicopters over the crash site and boats were on scene for search and rescue. Emergency Services stated that due to the current temperatures people would have only about 15-30 minutes until hypothermia sets in and about 30-90 minutes survival time. Emergency Services reported they received an alert from the FAA tower about the crash at 20:48L (01:48Z 30.1.), a state and federal response was initiated involving about 300 personnel.
On Jan 30th 2025 at about 00:30L (05:30Z) local police reported, that fatalities are confirmed, so far no survivors have been rescued.
The US Army reported a Blackhawk UH-60 departing Belvoir,VA (USA) for a training mission was involved in the midair collision. According to preliminary information there were 3 people on board of the helicopter.
The description of the event and the data we see in these videos is consistent with intentional conduct on the part of the helicopter pilot. I’m not saying it was an intentional act, but the data is consistent with an act of volition, not negligence. The helicopter had the last clear chance and capability to avoid the collision, but did not. This was avoidable. Just saying.
Regardless, of how and why it happened this is tragic.
1,000 flying hours is considered “very experienced,” considering most flights are on average two hours in length.
• The co-pilot, who is known as the pilot in command – was a female who had 500 hours flying experience.
Both were being evaluated during the flight, and were familiar with the area and route.
It’s nice to know the CIA is still feeding Newsweek and Khaleda Rahman stories.
Also, ask yourself WHY the Pentagon STILL has not released the identify of all three crew members posthaste?
Allowing conspiracy theories to thrive seems to be a devilish hobby of the IC. They not only encourage it, they usually instigate and facilitate it.
The bigger question is what are they hiding?
Isn’t it odd that they have publicly identified the male pilot and male crew chief of the Blackhawk helicopter in the DC crash, but not the female co-pilot?
Two of the Blackhawk pilots have been identified and their names released - Andrew Eaves (Instructor Pilot) and Ryan O'Hara (Crew Chief).
Why not identify all three?
🚨 What happened at Reagan National Airport? 🚨
The worst air traffic accident in America since the American Airlines crash at Jamaica Bay on November 21, 2001 and the first since Colgan Air crash in Buffalo on February 12, 2009
—Colonel (Retired) John Mills
The airspace around Washington, D.C. is the most controlled and secure airspace in the country. Multiple Government Agencies have aircraft and helicopters that routinely fly amongst heavy air traffic into Reagan National, Dulles, Baltimore-Washington International, and Andrews Air Force Base in addition to a number of smaller General Aviation Airfields. There are special radars and air defense/anti-cruise missile weapons at the ready in the region.
The Potomac Consolidated Terminal RADAR Approach Control (TRACON) opened on December 15, 2002. PCT provides air traffic control service to the Baltimore-Washington and the Richmond-Charlottesville Areas. PCT controls the airspace over Andrews, BWI, Ronald Reagan, Dulles, Richmond and many other area airports.
I spent several years at the Federal Aviation Administration working complex Air Traffic Control Systems and had been in the tower at Reagan on several occasions.
Most recently I was in the Reagan Tower in about 2022 conducting a counter-drone assessment. At that time, there was a dedicated seat in the tower for controlling all the helicopter flights that are part of the air traffic picture.
The aircraft and helicopters of the Government Agencies provide important support in Continuity Of Operations (COOP) in case of emergency by shuttling key personnel and staff to Raven Rock (alternate Pentagon), Mt. Weather (alternate White House), the alternate Congressional Location, and other facilities. I’ve been on some of these flights.
It appears the Army Helicopter was conducting a training flight south on the Potomac River and somehow ran into the American Airlines flight as it was approaching Runway 33 at Reagan.
Was it loss of orientation due to the Army pilots being on Night Vision Goggles? Was over-tasking/understaffing of the Reagan Tower? Was it DEI downgrading of Air Traffic Controller proficiency and standards? Was it malicious cyber interference to key systems such as ADS-B?
All are fair and reasonable questions as the National Transportation Safety Board, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Defense, and others conduct the investigation.
At this point, nothing should be summarily dismissed and removed from the evidence table. Prayers to the 67 families affected by this tragedy - a tragedy that should not have happened.
Yep remotely controlled Blackhawk missile aimed to take down the airliner for sure.
Deep state affiliated entities are also in the mix here we have Lockheed Martin & DARPA possibly revenge against the Russians I am seeing alot of red flags here.
The question is was it deep state revenge in taking out the Russians or was it deep state assets on the airliner being taken out by the white hats.
Also I copied the entire article from Lockheed Martin just in case it is deleted from their website.
Note
It will be interesting to see if Lockheed Martin come out to make an official statement saying they lost control of the this testbed blackhawk or if the media will claim it was a 911 like event for example HAMAS hijacking a blackhawk to kill the infidels.
(Sorry LM & MSM for ruining your cover story, might have to earn your keep go off script and spin a better cover story.)
Command an Autonomous Black Hawk Helicopter from 300 Miles Away
October 17, 2024
Facebook
How do you command a Black Hawk® helicopter to perform a mission autonomously from 300 miles (480 km) away?
Quite simply, by using a tablet connected to the aircraft via datalink.
During the Association of the United States Army's annual meeting in Washington, D.C., (Association of the United States Army 2024), visitors and U.S. Army senior leaders saw how a Black Hawk helicopter integrated with Sikorsky's MATRIX™ autonomy system can receive remote mission commands in real-time. Then, carry out that mission on its own, using its onboard autonomous systems, without remote control or pilot inputs.
The MATRIX system is unique because it's not a simple flight director following a planned route. Instead, the system acts fully independently, reacting to the dynamic combat environment to avoid threats, optimize routing, and execute emergency procedures if necessary.
8rpdnAnNTCU
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems President Stephanie Hill — a non-pilot — commanded the autonomous Black Hawk helicopter to take off, hover, fly a circuit, and land in Connecticut from a tablet during the AUSA symposium in Washington, DC.
Although safety pilots are in the cockpit, the aircraft flew and navigated itself without pilot input.
Ready to transition to the U.S. Army
Following more than ten years of co-development with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the MATRIX autonomy system is operationally tested. MATRIX will enable contested logistics and operational flexibility with any aircraft, any operator, and in any weather/environment to deliver mission critical, time sensitive sustainment to the point of need.
DARPA Taps Sikorsky to Add Autonomy to U.S. Army-Owned Black Hawk Helicopter
As part of the DARPA ALIAS program, Sikorsky has furthered the development of the MATRIX autonomy system to perform missions with greater efficiency and safety – whether with two pilots, one pilot, or zero pilots on board. As a forward node in the mesh network, MATRIX equipped aircraft provide mission command and fully autonomous capability at the edge.
Ahead of Ready
Autonomous capabilities such as MATRIX technology are a key part of Lockheed Martin’s 21st Century Security® vision, which includes modernizing the Black Hawk helicopter to stay ahead of new and emerging threats.
MATRIX Technology
Sikorsky MATRIX™ technology could one day enable utility helicopters to resupply forward forces on the future battlefield without any human pilots or crew on board.
Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) successfully demonstrated this logistics/resupply capability to the U.S. Army in October 2022 using an optionally piloted Black Hawk helicopter.
Military Helo Pilot Gives Possible Cause for DCA Midair:
A U.S. Coast Guard pilot who's flown the helicopter route by Reagan National Airport "thousands of times" just posted a detailed explanation for what happened the evening of January 29, 2025 when an American Airlines regional jet collided with an Army H-60 over the Potomac as the airliner was on final approach for landing. Although the facts won't be known until the NTSB and U.S. Army complete their investigations, his explanation seems very plausible.
Maybe this was already mentioned in this thread, but I believe that Blackhawk helicopters can be remotely controlled. This possibility needs to be factored into the discussion.
The evidence suggests to me the Blackhawk was remotely commandeered--possibly within just a few seconds before the collision. With AI assistance, a head-on collision with the American Airlines flight would be easy to accomplish, if the chopper was remotely commandeered at some point during its flight and/or if that was the objective.
To be clear, I'm not suggesting the soldiers reportedly on board the helicopter were not killed; I'm suggesting they may have been sacrificed.
Recovering the helicopter's blackbox (which for some reason no one is talking about -- and has yet to be found) will be crucial to understanding what actually happened.
If we hear nothing of the Blackhawk's blackbox in the ensuing days, or if what is discovered becomes "classified" or is deemed an issue of "national security", or the contents are "conveniently inaudible", you can bet it contains answers that no official agency is willing to address. The public panic alone would cripple air travel and could bring to the entire global economy to a halt.
The question, then, is why? What is the purpose of this attack?
It could be a warning to--and some kind of Deep state leverage/blackmail--being used against Trump.
Personally I don't see any huge red flags popping up to lean me towards thinking this event is anything other than an accident. Time will tell though.
Regardless, I do believe we are about to see a series of rather major airline accidents and major disasters. Some of these events will highly likely have evil shenanigans involved but several will just be plain mechanical issues and human error.
I think the airline industry in the US has hit its breaking point due to its infrastructure just not being able to handle the high volume of flights and also because of extreme incompetence on many levels.
ADDED:
I just seen there was another plane crash this evening in Philadelphia.
This was no accident [my opinion but lend me your ear for a moment]. Among the dead are heroes of the mother-land along with a significant portion of youth.
An enemy of america has little to gain from this incident [what would an enemy gain other than the deaths of americans; surely no policy or actionable change?]; however, a friend of america - one that is interested to get its way even if it must double cross it's friend - certainly has something to gain from the event. A gain in action or involvement in other events that america would prefer to distance itself from.
I am thinking we will not have full transparency. We will not get all the facts. And when that happens, other facts come to light in lieu of less facts.
Here's one: the narrative that immediately the resources available for air traffic control are experiencing shortages in trained and experienced personnel. That might be true to a point although one might think if the entire country was limited in these resources there might be more human errors. But the media presented this at the get go. And Trump might not be right in assuming the DEI policies reduced the quality of personnel in both strong psychological strength and intellect deteriorated the quality of air traffic control management. The reason is there might be significantly more accidents, and there really isn't. But Trump is known to spout off from time to time and be wrong later.
I do not think this was an accident. Russia was hurt in the aftermath. America was hurt in the aftermath. The media is not interested in answers and the sub-internet media cannot exactly be trusted either.
You may be on to something and somewhat thinking in the right direction.
I'm leaning towards this just being an accident until I see more weirdness that'll change my mind (and I'm starting to see more weirdness).
Now we have another crash in Philadelphia. This is really odd to have 2 events like this in 2 days, and also basically in the same region of the US.
These two crashes are also in the same region as most of these weird drone sightings seem to have been reported for several weeks.
Knocking the airline industry out of commission for a while would surely be an economic disaster.
It's amazing how often these things happen in clusters, sometimes back-to-back. I think two of the worst aviation accidents to take place on British soil - which I'll never forget - were right on top of each other. The Lockerbie disaster (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_Am_Flight_103), followed days later by the M1 crash (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kegworth_air_disaster) at Kegworth.
George Webb tends to go off on his own lines of enquiry and thinking where the general pack don't go, but he usually turns out to be ahead of them. He has a vast mental library from his previous investigations. On this case he immediately went for remote control and knew about the Blackberries ( phones) network set up under Obama. Brennan and Clapper and the gang still have that network even after Trump pulled their security clearances.
Make of this what you will. I think he has a very good snout, and uses it with confidence and conviction. A rare and good mix of meta data facts following and intuition with the chatter filtered out.
Maybe this was already mentioned in this thread, but I believe that Blackhawk helicopters can be remotely controlled. This possibility needs to be factored into the discussion.
The evidence suggests to me the Blackhawk was remotely commandeered--possibly within just a few seconds before the collision. With AI assistance, a head-on collision with the American Airlines flight would be easy to accomplish, if the chopper was remotely commandeered at some point during its flight and/or if that was the objective.
To be clear, I'm not suggesting the soldiers reportedly on board the helicopter were not killed; I'm suggesting they may have been sacrificed.
Recovering the helicopter's blackbox (which for some reason no one is talking about -- and has yet to be found) will be crucial to understanding what actually happened.
If we hear nothing of the Blackhawk's blackbox in the ensuing days, or if what is discovered becomes "classified" or is deemed an issue of "national security", or the contents are "conveniently inaudible", you can bet it contains answers that no official agency is willing to address. The public panic alone would cripple air travel and could bring to the entire global economy to a halt.
The question, then, is why? What is the purpose of this attack?
It could be a warning to--and some kind of Deep state leverage/blackmail--being used against Trump.
You may be on to something and somewhat thinking in the right direction.
I'm leaning towards this just being an accident until I see more weirdness that'll change my mind (and I'm starting to see more weirdness).
Now we have another crash in Philadelphia. This is really odd to have 2 events like this in 2 days, and also basically in the same region of the US.
These two crashes are also in the same region as most of these weird drone sightings seem to have been reported for several weeks.
Right... think about this. Whoever orchestrated this incident (if indeed it wasn't an accident) is calling out the bluff of the new administration, daring them to manage public relations of the aftermath in the manner its campaign threatened to do. The so-called "disclosure/reform/truth" administration, which is in the process of releasing all the JFK files, and which has threatened to blow the lid off the Epstein scandal and reform all the three-letter agencies/deep-state/black-budgeted bureaucracies with whom it is at war, is now tasked with the awkward response to inform the public this was a deliberate attack, i.e., the military Blackhawk was commandeered remotely by some "shadowy" enemy within, and moreover this "shadowy" deep state enemy (seemingly) has the ability to commandeer any military helicopter at any time to reek havoc on the proles or on any rogue President representing their interests who won't fall into line.
Or the "truth" administration could level with the people, admit it is still vulnerable to such attack until such time when all agencies/government/Deepstate are fully reformed. It could declare an overt declaration of war, triggering panic, societal disruption, and risk a full-fledged blowback of the enemy's scorched-earth wrath.
Until such time when the perpetrators of the past sixty years or so are held fully accountable for their crimes, there are still dirty bombs missing and false flags on the drawing board that an honest reform government will nonetheless have a difficult time averting. The jury is still out if the crash on Jan 29 was just an accident, but if it wasn't, it sure looks to me like an escalation of the clandestine war raging behind the scenes.
Seems many categories of events always happen in clusters.
In my opinion this situation is different with the aviation industry. There's been a series of failures in this industry that is reaching a breaking point, or have reached its breaking point.
Trump lied the other day when he said air travel is safer than its ever been. I don't believe it is, I think it's getting more and more dangerous and we are about to see that. These last couple of crashes are just the beginning.
Covid struck the industry hard and then 4 years of Biden's ridiculous policies have only made it worse. It's not just so many pilots that have retired or quit when covid hit and DEI in the control towers....DEI is in the pilots seats, out on the tarmac, in the mechanics and repairs hangers, etc. This industry was absolutely one of the worst industries to put the woke DEI crap in. We are starting to see the effects of stupidity and it's going to kill a lot of people (it already has).
These 2 recent crashes are just a part of what's going on, there's been so many close calls and mechanical issues over the last few years it's really a miracle there hasn't been more catastrophic accidents.
Personally I think the lucky miracles are over and we are seeing the beginning of the breakdown of this industry and more accidents are going to happen.
I predict 2025 will be a year of extreme aviation events which will cause a complete restructuring of the industry and will cost billions. Another crash or two we will see complete fleets grounded etc.
I hope I'm wrong but with my eyes I'm seeing the industry starting to breakdown and so many problems are involved that it will take a ginormous effort and much time to make the necessary corrections.
Quite possibly, but I don't think we're ready to say with any confidence that DEI alone was responsible for these two accidents. A full investigation will determine either way.
Other angles exist, like overworked pilots, antiquated safety measures, crowded airspace over our cities, etc. And let's not forgot, the over-engineering of aircraft. Modern planes are packed with automation, systems that are supposed to make flying easier. These seem to have led to conversely detrimental consequences; by way of illustration the numerous and in some cases catastrophic failures in recent years of the "cutting-edge" Boeing 737 800. See Boeing Mega Troubles with its 737 MAX 8 Overriding Nose Dive Crashes (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?104852-Boeing-Mega-Troubles-with-its-737-MAX-8-Overriding-Nose-Dive-Crashes).
I don't think DEI was the cause of either of these two accidents, or even played a major part. I do believe the flight controllers played a part in the DC crash though to some degree, not because of DEI so much, but they could of been more Vocal with this chopper regarding it's flight path right before the collision. If this over-sight was DEI related is still yet to be determined.
Not to long ago a woman on the tarmac was sucked into an engine and killed and several other close calls may of been DEI related. Regardless, hiring folks based on their skin color or sexual pronouns over skill and job capability is ridiculous IMO and won't end well. Especially in this industry.
We'll have to see how this all plays out, but, 2 major incidents in two days in the same region of the US is quite weird to say the least. (not to mention this is "strange" drone area also).
Perhaps they are playing chess and not checkers?
What happened during Reagan, when the ATC unions gave the US problems with their demands? He reminded them that it was an essential service and thus they could not, by law, strike. They stayed out anyway.
So he fired them all. He hired military ATC, brought in controllers from outside the US, fast-tracked the schools for new ATC, and we made it through.
Perhaps these are designed to have a response of - bring in military, and bring in foreign ATC.
And then perhaps, when they are in the towers, a problem in language, or military jargon, or communications, will cause air force uno to come into contact sooner than planned with a solid type object.
Just thinking outside the box.
There is such a thing as suicide by pilot, we have one of those posted from a few years ago using a passenger plane, it may have been Swiss.
The captain of the Titanic definitely knew he was going too fast in an ice bed, he had done that route many times.
Just because most any object can be remotely controlled, no conclusion can be drawn from that.
This is a very unlikely accident to happen, just as it would be unlikely you could fly into the thing if you tried.
I am sure the simple person's advice of not having so much military so that its equipment does not interfere with regular life, has not been followed.
Father of American Airlines pilot in DC crash thinks Army helicopter made 'grave error'
WASHINGTON (TNND) — Timothy Lilley, the father of a pilot on board the American Airlines flight which collided with a U.S. Army helicopter near Washington, D.C., Wednesday night, said Thursday he suspects the helicopter may have been at fault. An estimated 67 individuals were involved in the crash, with 64 being on the passenger jet. Authorities said Thursday they do not expect that any of the individuals made it out of the crash alive.
28-year-old Sam Lilley was one of two pilots on the American Airlines flight, his father told Georgia outlet Fox 5 Atlanta (https://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/pilot-american-airlines-jet-crashed-near-washington-dc-had-georgia-ties). The pilot was reportedly engaged to be married and had ties to the Savannah, Georgia area.
This is undoubtedly the worst day of my life," Timothy Lilley told Fox 5 Atlanta.Timothy Lilley reportedly has 20 years of experience as a helicopter pilot in the Army. He told the outlet he suspects the pilots onboard the Army helicopter on Wednesday had worn night vision goggles which prevented them from seeing the incoming plane. “In the '90s, I used to fly in and out of the Pentagon regularly, and I can tell you if you are flying on the route over the Potomac and wearing night vision goggles, it's going to be very hard to see that plane,” he said. “If you're not wearing the goggles, then you might have a chance.”
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said in a video shared to social media Thursday the three soldiers aboard the Army helicopter were conducting a training flight at the time of the crash. He noted the crew was "fairly experienced" and the training was part of an annual requirement.
The commercial jet, which was arriving to Reagan National Airport from Wichita, Kansas, had done nothing wrong in the incident, Timothy Lilley reportedly suggested.
From what I can see, those guys turned right into the jet,” he said. “I think the PSA jet was doing everything right. The Army pilot made a grave error. It hurts me because those are my brothers, and now my son is dead."The U.S. Army Military District of Washington said in a statement Thursday it is "committed to transparency" as an investigation into the crash is conducted and will "share accurate updates as soon as they become available."
Multiple media personalities on Thursday backtracked (https://thenationaldesk.com/news/americas-news-now/media-personalities-backtrack-anti-trump-comments-about-reagan-airport-disaster#) comments blaming President Donald Trump for the collision. Phil Williams, the chief investigative reporter at WTVF-TV in Nashville, claimed via social media Trump’s recent offer to buy out federal employees could lead to similar deaths. The reporter later deleted the post, alleging social media users misinterpreted his remarks. CNN commentator Bakari Sellers also shared a screenshot of a release from the House Committee on Transport and Infrastructure announcing an air traffic controller hiring freeze. He captioned the post “eight days ago” before later deleting it and acknowledging “I f---ed up.”
A second incident happened the day before, involving a smaller regional jet and a helicopter. The plane was able to avoid an accident, but it raises serious questions about the safety of the airspace and the way it's being handled. We also discuss the placement of the helicopter routes, as well as the communication between the ATC and Blackhawk helicopter.
The data seems to show that the helicopter was at 200 feet very shortly before the crash. Then it was at 300 feet about 30 seconds before the crash. The last reading was 350 feet, I believe. If it's accurate it's very odd for the helicopter to be pulling up just as the airliner is arriving, instead of maintaining 200 feet.
I don't agree that the training flights should be done during major take off and landing times. Do it at 3 AM. I don't agree that aircraft should EVER be flying directly at each other when one is on final.
The Philadelphia incident looks extraordinarily violent because:
A huge crater was blown out of the city street where a Learjet 55 carrying six Mexican nationals nosedived into the ground at almost 300 mph...
It doesn't have to go that fast to get airborne. Usually a Lear Jet is going to bank and then it slams the thrusters and takes altitude at a steep angle. So, it can get going pretty fast in a brief span of time--which was observed being no more than a minute, perhaps thirty seconds. In this case, it seems the ATC did not know it was missing:
Air traffic control communications reveal the moments when controllers tried to reach the doomed jet.
The Medevac pilot did not mention any issues over the radio, but the air traffic control tower caught on that something was wrong.
“Medevac med service zero-five-six, northeast tower, are you on frequency?” a controller asks almost four minutes after the jet's takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport in an audio file downloaded from liveatc.net.
Four minutes after take-off, they realized the guy wasn't talking.
They're not revealing many moments, or doing a whole lot of trying to reach. There's no response and afterwards they declare it missing.
That one looked horribly sudden.
This was no accident [my opinion but lend me your ear for a moment]. Among the dead are heroes of the mother-land along with a significant portion of youth.
An enemy of america has little to gain from this incident [what would an enemy gain other than the deaths of americans; surely no policy or actionable change?]; however, a friend of america - one that is interested to get its way even if it must double cross it's friend - certainly has something to gain from the event. A gain in action or involvement in other events that america would prefer to distance itself from.
I am thinking we will not have full transparency. We will not get all the facts. And when that happens, other facts come to light in lieu of less facts.
Here's one: the narrative that immediately the resources available for air traffic control are experiencing shortages in trained and experienced personnel. That might be true to a point although one might think if the entire country was limited in these resources there might be more human errors. But the media presented this at the get go. And Trump might not be right in assuming the DEI policies reduced the quality of personnel in both strong psychological strength and intellect deteriorated the quality of air traffic control management. The reason is there might be significantly more accidents, and there really isn't. But Trump is known to spout off from time to time and be wrong later.
I do not think this was an accident. Russia was hurt in the aftermath. America was hurt in the aftermath. The media is not interested in answers and the sub-internet media cannot exactly be trusted either.
This doesn't to me look like an 'accident' either although, of course, they do happen.
Given that one of the aims of the 'Net Zero' operators is to deny air travel, and effectively ground everyone as evidenced in this UK FIRES report (https://avalonlibrary.net/World_Economic_Forum_%28WEF%29/REP_Absolute_Zero_V3_20200505.pdf), then incidents like this, to me at least, will likely continue to happen, very deliberately and feels a lot as if it's a component part of that agenda: incrementalism towards 'absolute zero'.
Pathetically enough, all 67 people onboard the craft and the helicopter were "VIP"s and in today's terms probably "next generation humans" , advanced, skilled, trained professionals and so forth.
Accidents do happen "in the reality Matrix" though they're not so frequent against the canvas of boringly repetitive but logical reality installed by us/humans/etc.
In the Big Picture of this particular , uneven part of Galaxy ( so much Bigger than the Brand ) universal matrix collided long ago , with similar matrices of other Galaxies,
causing infinite number of disruptions we call errors.
In practical sense, even the hardest stones sometimes break for no obvious reason other than tiny "bubble" in the system
and even the best of our technologies are prone to failure
It does make sense to me that someone, somehow, someway wanted someone of the craft to disappear, one or two but since it already happened we won't be able to find out why ,
could have been heart failure on the pilots side that simply could not be predicted.
Since there is no obvious reason to blame for the disaster and no survivors ,
may their Souls reach the greater Space
May they find Peace
Here's another airline disaster that almost happened today, the engine was actually on fire as the plane was about to take off.
A minute or two later this would of been another huge airline catastrophe.
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Airport officials say passengers and crew members are safe after a United Airlines flight out of Bush Intercontinental Airport reportedly had an engine issue just before takeoff on Sunday.
Houston Airports said that after 8:30 a.m., UA Flight 1382 had to abort its takeoff from IAH on the runway.
A United Airlines flight from IAH to LaGuardia caught the moment a fire took place during takeoff. The FAA said in a statement, "The crew of United Airlines Flight 1382 safely aborted its takeoff from the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport in Texas due to a reported engine issue around 8:35 a.m. local time on Sunday, Feb. 2. Passengers deplaned on the runway and were bused to the terminal. The Airbus A319 was flying to LaGuardia Airport in New York. The FAA will investigate. Contact the airline for additional information."
Video shared by FOX 26 showed flight attendants asking for passengers to stay in their seats. "No, it's on fire!" one of the passengers can be heard saying in the background.
Washington DC crash: Data from plane's black boxes gives conflicting information on altitudes:
zHSoTyutdU4
Preliminary data from the Washington DC air collision that killed 67 people gives conflicting information about the altitudes of the plane and military helicopter at the time of the crash.
In a news conference, officials from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said data from the jet's flight recorder showed its altitude as 325ft, plus or minus 25ft, when the crash happened on Wednesday night.
But preliminary data in the air traffic control tower showed the Black Hawk helicopter at 200ft at the time. The discrepancy has yet to be explained.
Families of victims of the deadliest U.S. air disaster in nearly 25 years visited the crash site just outside Washington, D.C. on Sunday
They walked along the banks of the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport, close to where an American Airlines jet and an Army Black Hawk helicopter collided on Wednesday.
Authorities said Sunday they had recovered and identified 55 of the 67 people killed.
Pilot Exposes NEW Details the News Won’t Tell You (DC Mid-Air Collision):
The latest findings from the American Eagle CRJ-700 & Black Hawk helicopter collision have been released, and the details might shock you. As a pilot, I’ll break down what really happened, what the NTSB just uncovered, and why this crash might have been preventable. The media won’t tell you everything—but I will. Watch until the end to see the full breakdown.
@B25Mitchel-qy5k (https://www.youtube.com/@B25Mitchel-qy5kg) quote: "My Army son flew his Blackhawk up and down the Potomac for years, and this is what he said about what went on, "first off, there should have been 4 crew on board, 2 pilots and 2 crew. Why the dispatcher sent them off with 3, I don't know. Second, the CWO's are the lead pilots, and the low time and non-deployed woman captain flying should have been the co-pilot. Third, I had to exactly "fly the numbers", it is law.(200' AND on route 1), she was not on route 1 and at 380'. Fourth, "goggles" were a hindrance around city lights and I never used them. (I did in Afghanistan on three tours for sure) Five, "training" flights were forbidden anywhere near Regan National, and I was flying the Joint Chiefs of Staff so I had my hands full. Sixth, the woman pilot had so many other things going on in her life (sexual harassment activist and Biden aid) that did, in no way enhance her flying abilities, and may have been a huge distraction to the male crew. Seven, I always talked to only one specific person in the tower, who always had my back. The last thing I wanted, especially at night was distractions. The CWO-3 should have been the PIC, and as far as I know, the captain was not trained at Ft. Rucker, which is the best training in the world. RIP for all the soles lost"
The People's Voice suggests the collision was an orchestrated hit on a high-ranking military officer who had evidence the covid saga may have been a consolidation of power by Gates & Fauci. The story of the incident was put out by CNN before it occurred and a comparison to building seven on 9/11 was made. Wikipedia also had too many details on the dedicated page too soon after the event.
Black Box DECODED - What the helicopter pilots said:
4gqK6qta9_0
The NTSB released their notes about the in cockpit communication inside the blackhawk helicopter. They also released what data they had, and didn't have. There were clearly many issues going on that night, all leading to tragedy over Washington DC.
It's absolutely insane that ANY traffic should be allowed to intersect the path of an aircraft that is on final approach to land, regardless of whether it's above, below, in front of, or behind that aircraft. That's just plain unacceptable, and, in this case, deadly.
MAJOR Flight Safety System Failures Led To DC Plane Crash:
oObp4YUlu-4
The NTSB dropped several bombshells, revealing MAJOR Flight Safety System Failures Led To the DC Plane Crash of American Airlines Flight 5342 with the Army Blackhawk helicopter on Jan 29, 2025. The NTSB news conference highlights are analyzed, along with new dashcam video of the plane crash and how the 2 aircraft failed to see one another. You will see all sorts of analyses and simulations here to give you a better understanding of what caused the DC plane crash of the American Flight 5342 CJR plane.
DC Helicopter/Airliner Crash: Shocking Pilot Error Details Covered Up By Military!:
x7kXWj4pOOU
New Details Emerge About DC Helicopter Crash!
The pilot of the military Black Hawk helicopter that collided with a passenger airplane over Washington, D.C., in January ignored instructions to change course seconds before the crash, according to a new report.
The report, published by the New York Times on Sunday, detailed the Black Hawk's exchanges with air traffic controllers in the lead-up to the disaster, which left 67 people dead.
According to the report, the Black Hawk pilot, Capt. Rebecca Lobach, was conducting her annual flight evaluation and her co-pilot, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Loyd Eaves, was serving as her flight instructor.
When air traffic controllers informed the Black Hawk that there was an airliner nearby, Lobach and Eaves acknowledged the message and requested to fly by "visual separation," a common practice that allows aircraft to avoid collisions based on their own observations rather than following instructions from air traffic control.
Jimmy and Kurt Metzger discuss how the Times appeared to bury the lead on the most critical aspect of what led to the crash — Lobach’s ignoring air traffic controllers’ instructions on avoiding the passenger plane, as well as a directive from her co-pilot.
NTSB Hearing Reveals Blackhawk Caused DCA Midair:
i-UFac4EjHo
For the last three days, the NTSB has been holding hearings around the January midair collision over the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport between a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter and an American Eagle CRJ that killed 67 people, 64 on the airliner and three on the Blackhawk.
The most important facts to emerge from the hearings this week center on this cockpit exchange between Warrant Officer Eaves and Captain Robach that happened just about a minute before the midair.
He says to her, “Alright kinda come left for me, ma’am. I think that’s why he’s asking."
And she replies, “Sure.”
He says, “we’re kinda . . .” and she cuts him off by saying, “Oh-kay, fine,” and he finishes his statement “out toward the middle” meaning the middle of the river and west of Helicopter Route 4.
So PAT 25 is above and west of where they should have been as the CRJ is properly on final approach for Runway 33. Using maritime rules of the road terms, the CRJ was the burdened vessel, and the Blackhawk was the give way vessel.
