View Full Version : Is 2011 a good year to plan a Ground Crew or Avalonian conference?

The last conference in Europe to which Camelot and Avalon people where invited was the Swiss Ground Crew conference at Zurich in July 2009. It was highly enjoyable and sucessful in many ways.

That conference was full of energy and quite a bit of controversy but was most enjoyable and had a lasting impression on me. Conferences provide an excellant medium for sharing energy, vitality, motivation plusa lot else besides.

My question is how many of us think arranging a conference in 2011 would be good thing to do? What do you think?

I do support that. I couldn't be part of any organization (no time!) - but would be delighted to speak.

I would love to attend a conference and meet people in person. I would most likely not be able to make it to Europe though. Perhaps we could do one in the states as well? Somewhere centrally located so that it would give as many people as possible a chance to attend? How does one go about "starting the ball rolling" so to speak?

I have just set up a poll on the thread so the first thing is to encourage others to vote.

I'd *LOVE* to take part - but living in Aus, and being on benefits, there's no way I could travel to the US or to Europe to take part.... It's just not going to happen for me, not yet anyway...:(

Maybe we could organise some way for people to take part over the internet who can't be at the conference in person for whatever reason...

I voted for yes and in Europe but only because of obvious financial reasons. I'm sure I'd travel to any corner of the planet if I had the finances. All the best and I cannot wait to find out about the conferences this year.

Great idea Ixopoborn, especially if there hasnt been a meetup for two years. I think perhaps 2011 might be a better year to plan a conference as opposed to 2012! Europe gets my vote, especially if its close to an Easyjet route :-)

Yes Jcocks that should be feasible. The poll is drawing good attention and hopefully we will get to critical mass to justify a conference or two shortly.

Love to be involved-But....

2011 is already shaping up to be HUGE, i can/would be involved but only if its online.

I think the plans are to get us communicating between each other without the use of computers...

if they want to knock out the elite, they will pull the plug on power...

We need to be ready at that moment to step forward as leaders...

Dear All - I am regularly reposting on this thread to catch the attention of Avalonians who watch out for new posts to draw their attention to important stuff. Please take a look at this thread and vote.

Many thanks in advance.

Sounds good streaming live from the net should take care of all those who can't make it in person. this way they could see and ask questions in real time. I'd make it out, and i also agree with rocky.

Personally, all I need is travel expenses covered. I could speak in Europe, East + West coasts of the US, and Australia. Would be delighted to. But that needs a lot of organization. One needs to start several months in advance.

No option in the poll for Canada :(

Doesn't really matter, it would be sweet and the location wouldn't matter as much if the whole thing could be streamed live, and perhaps have a skype call in for "remote viewers" (pun fully intended)

May I have a suggestion?
How about we add an option in Asia(China / Japan/ Cambodia....etc)

Yes, in principle, Bill has said he will do this and much else subject to support and coverance of his travel expenses. The poll will need to be amended to accomodate this. I will see if the Mods can extend the scope of the poll.

I have PM'd Dale to see if the poll can be extended to incorporate Australia and the Pacific Basin.

Hi Bill,
Thanks for the memory(Zurich), it was great.
I always said i'd do it again.
I've imagined you presenting a seminar outdoors, AVEBURY,
I would be honoured to pay for a British Airways ticket, England....
do you still remember it ??
All the best to you.

I've put some feelers out into the alternative community for an Australian conference. I'm waiting for some feedback. My ex wife's partner is the man who organised the first Aquarius festival in Australia and now organises events in Byron Bay he has a lot of contacts. GBTY on this.

I think this is an idea that we really should make something out of.
Feel it is vital to make use of the momentum. people are waking up all over the world as we speak, and it is important to show them that something is beeing done.

I personaly would attend wherever it may be.

It would be an truly great moment if we pooled our resources together as a group and as a team made this happen.

Love to all of you

I voted "no" because if it's not within an hour drive from where I am, I won't be able to attend...and there's zero probability that it will be.

I am not in a financial situation to fly over sea's either, but I would save and do what ever it takes to contribute and be there in person. Like Charles has said we might not know how important we are, and getting all this love and intention together in the same location for a few days could have great affects on the timeline...

I can definitely see an interest from us Aussies in getting a conference started over here. As for me I am a penniless student but I live just north of Byron and lived there for years. During that time I seemed to meet people who know people, mainly through sheer luck and circumstance. Anyways, if there is anything that I can do ( and I am sure there is) I would put up my hand to "turn some cogs, do some digging" so to speak (metaphorically) to get things moving, or be of assistance at the time. Icecold feel free to pm me, I'd love to help.

Perhaps redu the poll - something like this:

Yes- Id go anywhere to hear Philippe speak
Yes -I could go if Philippe funds all our tickets
Yes - If Charles and Bill are there, I'll be there.
Yes - in North America
Yes - In Vilcabamba Ecuador
Yes - in Bali
Yes - lets pool all our finances and include everyone
No - maybe it's best just to be content to be online
No - and I'm crying about it. No $
Not Yet - waiting for a clear inner signal

any other options?

This is an excellent idea! :high5:

I will be there. I will do my best to help in anyway needed! :washing:

I'm looking forward to a conference, though consideration needs to be paid to the balance between security and openness. You never know what TPTB have in mind, they might go to any extent to make it a painful experience for us and try to play their own trump cards.

I did not vote because date and location are important. I have flown round trip only once since 9/11.

I hope to keep it that way and even more so with the TSA debacle. People are still flying too much without a thought to the yes vote they cast to be treated like prisoners.

I would love to attend a conference, Bill would be a great addition but not a deal breaker. The people/community here are the important, boots on the ground, aspect.

I think Bill would look great on a huge screen teleconferencing to us. Might be too Big Brother-like for some over-imaginative types though.

It would allow him to not have to fly and feed the beast.

Regional gatherings with Bill and other speakers beaming in would maximize exposure and participation.

Woodstock like gatherings with camping and RV's for an extended weekend would allow for bonding and deepening cohesion.

I think it would help to split the US options into West Coast/East Coast. Considering what we're going for here though maybe the approach on this should be to first establish what people's traveling capacities are? Or maybe we need to put into stone just what the focus of this specific gathering would be. I haven't been to other conferences but if I'm not mistaken it was mostly to get testimonials out to basically anyone who could show up. With Avalon now entering into this new phase of regular members accepting a more profound responsibility and spirit of action the focus should shift more towards a "team-building" atmosphere.

The zurich conference 2009 was very enjoyable, it was good to be in the company of others wich are all on the same path and diffrent view didn't matter, it was enlightening with peak suprises points (Henrey deacon, brian o'leary and the piano), it gave a lot of information (from all the wonderfull speakers) and one question that i asked that draw plenty of drama..( compulsory vaccines).it was personally good for me to try and overcome my anxiety of being in a crowd, though this crowd was different :the vibration was different, much more delicate.it was a crowd of like-minded people, highly sensitive and very much on top of the things that really are important in the world today.and it was organized by zurich ground crew(sepia) so very well.
an out of the box people.
so,if any future event will be in Eurpoe,i will do my best to be there (overcoming my fears again:)
which countries did not adopt the full body scanner check yet? we might want to focus there, as spending more time in a security investigation room at the airport after refusing the check was enough an experience for me for one time (heathrow 9/2010).(if it is inevitable i will do this again, but i heard this time they arrest you).

p.s

the only problem i can think of is how Bill will go on stage again without prepering any speech and will manifest such an exquisite two hours introduction yet again..

Hi Bill

I was watching a live stream the other night with Chief Arvol Looking Horse of the Lakota, Dakota and Nakota Nation and his family.

I was deeply moved by their love and effort to bring change.

At 12, he was given the enormous responsibility of becoming the 19th generation Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe, the youngest in history.

Anyway, he and his friends and family seem genuine in their bid for uniting people of all backgrounds on this earth and making an effort to shift the energy on earth in a new direction.

I was thinking, if a conference were to go ahead in 2011, would you consider holding it so 21st June is one of the conference days? The summer solstice in northern hemisphere is also World Peace and Prayer/Honouring Sacred Sites Day and could include a ceremony (to be decided excatly what kind) to join in other efforts around the world on that day to shift the energy on earth. I would humbly sugegst that this part of the conference that I've mentioned, be open to all who would attend - not just conference attendees?

This may not be a typical idea for your conferences but I'd love to know your thoughts.

Whatever your reply I :yo: to you...and your great work. With love....Lumial

"All Nations, All Faiths, All Species, One Prayer!

We are the watchers. We are the witnesses. We see what has gone before. We see what happens now, at this dangerous moment in human history. We see what's going to happen, what will surely happen unless we come together — we, the Peoples of all Nations — to restore peace, harmony and balance to the Earth, our Mother...

“You yourself are the one who must decide. You alone and only you — can make this crucial choice. Each of us is put here in this time and this place to personally decide the future of humankind. Know that you yourself are essential to this World. Believe that! Understand both the blessing and the burden of that. You yourself are desperately needed to save the soul of this World. Did you think you were put here for something less? In a Sacred Hoop of Life, where there is no beginning and no ending!”

And...
"So let us unite spiritually, All Nations, All Faiths, One Prayer. Along with this immediate effort, I also ask to please remember June 21st, World Peace and Prayer Day/Honoring Sacred Sites day. Whether it is a natural site, a temple, a church, a synagogue or just your own sacred space, let us make a prayer for all life, for good decision making by our Nations, for our children’s future and well-being, and the generations to come."
