the news was talking about a lightning snowstorm yesterday...

any animal deaths in these areas?

As snow began in the D.C. and Baltimore areas late Wednesday, thunder and lightning were common. Snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour made for a nightmare evening commute.

These heavy snow rates with thunder and lightning then moved northward through portions of eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Philadelphia piled up nearly 15 inches from this latest storm...

Anybody knows if Charles Fort's books mention anything like this?

If they do, it means HAARP didn't have anything to do with this.

If the books don't, then it probably didn't happen in the last, say, three hundred years.

Thank you Stomy for this very informative compilation.
Today I found this:

EL UNIVERSAL
Tuesday January 25, 2011 03:12 PM
Bogotá .- Residents of a town in northeastern Colombia say about 2,000 fish have been found dead since last week after a strange object flying and flashing light was seen for a few seconds on a slew of the region.

The case occurred in the village of El Llanito, under the jurisdiction of the city of Barrancabermeja, where many villagers last Friday observed in the sky a UFO, according to local media, DPA reported.

Shortly after dead fish floated in the swamp, but unlike similar cases attributed to the lack of oxygen, this time to the inhabitants of El Llanito struck them all with burns on the scales.

I always find it troubling when animals die, especialy in mass numbers. Events appear to be accelerating on many levels. However I wonder to what degree what is displayed in the original post is part of that acceleration, and/or to what degree is it simply a function of the media and the web making the world feel smaller in a way and being able to point out and bring to the worlds attention events such as these having the effect of amplifying them in our awareness? (hope that made sense...lol)

I wonder if its actualy happening more near the superpowers or if its more noticed there then elsewhere due to the high percentage of people in the superpowers walking around being constantly "online" with their various portable devices making these sorts of events having an ability to hit the web instantaneously?

What I am finding very, very worrying is the fact that we do not seem to have our normal flock of Birds here. I really cannot remember the last time I heard that sweat tweet in the morning.

Thanks Stomy for that list.

Here's a thought/observation: Looking at the list and the locations in the USA, quite a few of the animal kills seem to be along the New Madrid Fault line and other low lying areas in the eastern USA.

Weird coincidence or could this be a signal/warning of danger areas as earth changes seem to be rapidly taking place?
Were the other incidents around the globe also associated with possible "danger" areas?
I'm going to look into this further.

Peace and good health

An interesting theory is that the "volcano of oil" triggered by the BP oil spill in 2010 may have created a renewed seismic activity in this part of the United States. Jack Reed, a geologist and geophysicist for Texaco in retirement, has carefully studied the geology of the Gulf of Mexico for 40 years.
Reed is convinced that the Gulf of Mexico is currently tectonically active and that is the source of most of the seismic activity along the New Madrid Fault. The magnetism and earthquakes are related

This map lists the counting of dead animals in mass in the world since the month of December 2010 and the beginning of the year 2011. As A comparison of other map will be established to identify the possible events which could have similar to happen during the previous years. All the pins plotted on a region to report a case of death of mass of animals will be accompanied by a link to the press article in relating to this event.

Red = Serious 100 000 or more deaths

Yellow = More than 1000 and less 100 000 dead

Green = below 1000 dead

It is interesting that there are clusters of animals and fish dying. One would wonder what is up with human mortality rates - no clusters of humans dying in groups of 1,000 or more of unknown causes - that we know of, anyway. THAT, to me is what is strange about this story. Also, we do not know what the history is of clusters of deaths of animals and fish in the past to make an historical comparison. IF the animals and fish are dying due to the influences of electromagnetic fields, etc. especially given the French map, then one would expect humans to be expiring in similar clusters in the same areas. Therefor more than likely the reason for these clusters are specific factors bearing on that particular group of fish or animals at a specific point in time and space, with one or more factors being the "tipping point." Again what is odd about this is the fact that there are no similar reports of clusters of human deaths - yet. Just a thought.

p.s. Also plants, invertebrates, insects and other living beings. It would be interesting to know if there are large groups of these living beings expiring at the same time as well. If we had that information perhaps a more complete picture of what is happening would emerge.

Thanks everybody for contributions to keeping this up to date. Haven't had much time to check things out myself lately.

Sea turtles continue to wash ashore along the Gulf, forcing the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to scramble and figure out what is causing the spike. Last week, the Natural Resources Defense Council and The Huffington Post were first to publish blogs about the sea turtle deaths in Mississippi. Since then, the national media picked up the story. Last Friday, NMFS released a statement with some details about its investigation:

Could the Earth’s Magnetic Fields Be Causing the Die-Off of Thousands of Birds?
The Goethe-Universitat study revealed that if birds could not see the magnetic field when migrating, they lost their “bearings” and could hurt themselves or even die. NASA reported in 2008 that there was a “massive breach” in the Earth’s magnetic field, detected by THEMIS spacecraft. Solar wind can flow through this breach, causing enormous geomagnetic storms. It is very possible that such a geomagnetic storm is responsible for the current deaths of thousands of birds across the planet.
According to Science Daily.com, sea creatures such as sharks, crabs, salmon, and sea turtles not only use magnetic fields to navigate, but also to detect their prey. So it is entirely possible that some of the recent deaths of not only fish, but sea animals like starfish and dolphins are due to changes in the Earth’s magnetic fields.

Magnetic storms can cause many different phenomena to occur. Not only do birds, such as the reported blackbirds, pelicans, penguins and eagles, lose their bearings and fall dead from exhaustion and hunger, but radio transmissions can be lost, there can be radiation from too much solar power, and high-energy charged particles can bombard the Earth due to the breach in the magnetic “shield” wrapping the planet.. Magnetic storms can also trigger changes in the Earth’s crust, which may lead to increases in landslides, mudslides, earthquakes, and volcano eruptions.

Hundreds of dead fish line cove’s banks / Thousands of fish die mysteriously in a lake at the Arabian Ranches

CINDY TOOPES Courier Staff Writer

OTTUMWA — Why are there hundreds of dead fish lining the banks of a cove along the Des Moines River near Eddyville?

Local residents don’t have that answer, but they did report the finned casualties to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. One of them, Stephenie Dobson, reported the oddity to the Courier and sent along a photo on Facebook.

David Dobson of Eddyville said he likes to fish the area that’s south of Hardfish Landing and west of the railroad trestle, both on the eastern side of the river.

Dobson said he went fishing after the storm on Sunday.

“I’ve fished here before. Everything was normal right before Thanksgiving last November,” he said. “This past Sunday was the first time I’d gone fishing there since the weather warmed up.”

Dobson guided a reporter across a field, through the timber and to the cove where layers of dead fish lined the banks. Carp, channel catfish and gars were just a few of the species. The fish kill appeared to be limited to a relatively small area, with no obvious carcasses on the opposite bank.

There was evidence that other critters were sampling the free food along the bank.

Dobson said he left messages with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and hopes they will call back. He’d like to know what caused the problem.

The Courier first contacted Kurt Baker, the conservation director for Wapello County. Baker said he hadn’t heard anything about a problem in the Eddyville area and recommended calling Mark Flammang, a fisheries biologist at Rathbun Lake.

When asked about the dead fish in a Des Moines River cove near Eddyville, Flammang said he hadn’t heard about it, either.

Dubai: Residents of the Arabian Ranches and developer Emaar have blamed each other for thousands of dead fish that washed ashore a lake inside the upscale community last week.

"After a sudden dip in the water level, fish by the thousands appeared dead on the shoreline," said Chris, a resident of the Al Reem community where the lake is located. "I suspect the lake was poisoned to control fish stocks," he alleged, adding, "There has to be a more responsible way to manage marine life."

Another resident said, "My parents first noticed the dead fish. We also saw soap-like bubbles in the lake. And the stink in the neighbourhood was unbearable."

She said when she lodged a complaint with Emaar, a team came to the area and scooped out the dead fish into black bags.

"But the stench persisted and more fish surfaced the next day. We have no clue what is going on. We fear the deaths were due to chemical dumping," she said.

An Emaar spokesperson told XPRESS, "Emaar's environmental management team undertook prompt studies on the water quality and other parameters after spotting some dead fish. The team also immediately removed the dead fish.

"The oxygen concentration and salinity of the water were evaluated at various points in the lake and were found to be in the normal range. However, the lake had the presence of foam, especially in the section where the dead fish were found, which was identified to possibly have been caused by detergents or car cleaning fluids," the spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, Emaar Community Management is sending reminders to residents to refrain from car washing in community areas and avoid disposing chemicals through the storm water drainage, parts of which are connected to the lake.

"The operational hours of the aeration system of the lakes have also been increased and the fish stock will be re-evaluated and restocked in the coming weeks. The community lakes are stocked with fish as an ecologically-friendly pest control method to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes," added the spokesperson.
