I've been waiting or a large earthquake in Ecuador, as there hasn't been one for quite a while. (No earthquake of any size is NOT a good thing, as the stress gradually increases in the tectonic plates and the more time passes without any release the greater the chance of a 'big one'.)

This 6.3 was off the coast, and didn't do much damage. It was 180 miles NW of Quito, way to the north and a very long way from me. (I've not felt an earthquake in my house here for over a year... again not necessarily a good thing! :))

related, west texas/east nm border (where fracking is HUGE) had a pretty good shake yesterday.
