View Full Version : Why do you have to pay to live on a planet you were born on?

What a Life, What an Existence…..

I mean…what a life it could be if we were not all forced to play this twisted little game called economics whether we consciously decide to participate or not at the end of the day our bottom line is the same, WE HAVE TO MAKE RENT THIS MONTH!!!

This is the primary focus bills, rent etc…no matter which way you slice it unless you are fortunate enough to currently live off the grid, I personally would rather stay in my apartment here in Canada than live in a tent city but that’s what I’m getting at.

You can be as spiritual or as enlightened as you want to be, you can be a punk, a Goth, a prep, a catholic whatever label you so desire to wear. It does not matter to your over lords what it is that you think you are, because in the end your just another cash cylinder in this current system and old way of doing things, because at the end of the day…..

We all have the illusion of being free, especially in North America, they have the illusion that they can choose when in reality all choices with in this system bring you back full circle and have the same gun pointing at your head that screams at you everyday saying……

YOU STILL HAVE TO MAKE RENT THIS MONTH!

We are all economic slaves and I find this to be a most de-energizing and unfortunate common denominator among earth inhabitants.

I leave you with a few questions to be pondered.

Why do you have to pay to live on a planet you were born on?

Who collects this money and who put them in power?

"Who collects this money and who put them in power?"

thats more of a rhetorical question no history lesson is needed here, we all know how money works on this forum I'm sure and the history of banking is no mystery.

I totally agree. I think everyone on the planet is asking the same question at this moment. I have peeked at the "mass propaganda media machine" so far
today they have been busy trying to scare us American's about the revolution in Egypt. Guess what I do not fear China, Terrorists, my gas prices going up? Well
tell me something I don't know. I want my country to stand for "FREEDOM" again.
Thanks for your thread

What a Life, What an Existence…..

Right ... Money is a hoax ... it reverses everything !
Instead of doing something for free (out of love for someone else) we learned how to ask someone money for our work.
So now YOU are the one who benefits from the work, you earned money, you get rewarded because you can buy new stuff ...

Each Sunday millions of people go to church and preach to practice love in our daily lives ...
But few only really know how to do that ! ;)

Simply put, it's a control mechanism. The illusion must be continually fed, or it crumbles. Can't have the entire population of the planet waking up to what's behind the curtain... that would just be... horrible. ;)

Yes, the questions are a bit rhetorical, but I tend to go against the grain of a good few in the alternative community with regard to how we ended up in this situation.

I strongly believe, through my studies of psychology, that we're in such a subservient condition because it's far easier than working through the uncomfortable struggles of growth, development, and spiritual awareness. It does not matter who the oppressors are. What matters is the simple need to realize that we've been far too comfortable with a life of voluntary servitude for millennia. It has become ingrained and conditioned into our very essence. Do read through my scholarly paper on Lamarckism, located here (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?10863-Lamarckism).

This may not always be the case, however. We may very well be standing near the center of a point where great change, on external and internal levels, could occur; though it is up to us to determine what change occurs, if anything.

Interesting point ... maybe that's why Dolores Cannon is probably right with her first, second and third wave theory ...
Some of us may be here for the first time ... causing these questions to be raised :eyebrows:

I partly agree with you Dale, as for comfort, we are too comfortable with old paradigms and have problems or lack of will to go towards new ones, unless a shock, a drastic one, happens. However, I think that our very essence is absolutely hungry for accomplishment - at least mine - for attainment, for spiritual development. I see it in me, I see it in 20 years old youth talking about making money while crumbling under little attention given to them, in need of love, I see it in baby boomers, disappointed about their material life, I see it right now in Egypt. The problem is the constant recuperation by PTB to the materialistic advantages promoted relentlessly, pushing or coupled with hope, them knowing that not much will be provided for that hope. We therefore take wrong paths. It is very difficult to manage "survival" with spiritual development, with love, with time, etc. for most. Yes we are programmed and played very well. Yet, it is our responsibility to brake this programmation in ourselves first. tools exist, discipline is needed, appropriation of the change required. And also, someone I consider a sage told me: [B]everything happening to you has been created by you. Take the responsibilities of these.

"the 9 to 5 is the greatest atrocity committed on mankind." Charles Bukowski

"It was true that I didn't have much ambition, but there ought to be a place for people without much ambition, I mean a better place than the one ususally reserved. How in the hell could a man enjoy being awakened at 6:30am by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, sh*t, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where esentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so." People act as if money is a chemical that society cannot live without. If you took the money away the skills and knowledge of how to do our jobs would still be there. Society could still function. It would be more creative because money holds us back from fully reaching our potential. I'd like to live of the land but can't afford to buy a field.

We need to raise our own non capitalist flag and declare independence in the name of life.

Good post........

The only good thing about living like this is a least you know its all a b/s system of control. Others just meander along in their little bubbles not knowing any different and maybe wouldnt want to. I despise having to live in the system but i do get comfort in knowing that im 'letting' myself be controlled so to speak. Ideally i'd like to kiss good by to the whole lot and move into some wilderness and live off the land, but i dont think the missis and kids would be too happy :p

Love love love the idea. I'm all for it. The transition period would, however, be very very tumultuos-to say the least. Perhaps there's some truth to what Dale said. Perhaps many of us are remaining subconsciously(some consciously) subservient because we don't want to deal with the inevitable mess a moneyless society would surely be in the beginning. I was going to write that, given our current level of spirituality, maybe it would be wise to wait before we completely did away with money. But on 2nd thought, maybe we need the trial by fire to achieve the level spirituality we desire, not the other way around.

It would be nice if the governing bodies would allow people to 'opt out' of society and use the 'opters out' as an example for the skeptics remaining in the 'money society'. I think that the best of the best people understand the pain that money causes, so I think we would be shocked by the magnitude and caliber of people that would choose to 'opt out'. We could then build a non-capitalist society that would be led by the best minds - true philosophers, humanitarians, and enlightened souls.

There would be plenty of healers about to help those who were still transitioning from the old ways to the new.

The old streets will be full of beggars and opportunists. The new streets will be filled with art, music, heartfelt communication and utmost, integrity.

You never know until you try.

My question is...where does one begin to change things? Start with oneself, yes, but how? I am the hamster, in the wheel fully aware of being there. Hamster is very uncertain how to leave its cage.

As a former professor of religious studies, I will remark on this...people are more willing to question the existence of God, than they are willing to question the economy. Yes, they complain, but ask if there is something more sustainable, humane and fair than das kapital, and they glaze over. They assume the other choices are communism and socialism. *Sigh*

I posted this elsewhere a while ago, so I will say it again.

I read in a book called Journey to the 9th planet or The Theooban Prophesy by Michael Desmarquay or something like that the race calling themselves the Theoobans suggest a total work stoppage.

They had him meet with someone from a planet that had just overthrown the financiers and were free.
That planet had accomplished this by this total work stoppage.
Everyone had agreed to not go to work until it all was over.
It took less time than I would guess, but I forget how long it took... maybe 2 months?

We feed them when we work is the point.
We do not feed ourselves.
As Red rose said, all the skills are still here and we could start by keeping doing our skills if they are essential to the world.
Farmers could still farm etc. but only after the system had come down.

First of all we could all take a big brake, then we could help out when someone needs our skills.

All the IT's and geeks who make free software already do this, btw.
They share from their abilities and never trade time for time or anything.
There could be no bartering because this is equating time for value, which is the basis of the same problem and fosters greed.
I think people would take classes from those who want to teach their skills.

There could be a lot of discussion about this and I think this forum is the likeliest place to do it.
I made that comment I mentioned at the beginning of the charles avalanche and that thread may have stalled, but I would love to see this discussion continue!

thank you fury ra for this thread,

jeanna

Do For A Living

Hard to work
When you don't want to be
Here

Hard to look at a paycheck and say
This buys more
Of time here

Hard to sense the long hours
From eight to five
All those lost breaths

Inside the cage of waiting
Work is eternity
Depleting itself slowly

Inside life is a paymentless glee
A stallion galloping without reins
Clouds passing a rainbow slowly

The surprise beauty
Not schedules for pay or off hours
Weekends not time enough to recover.

Ah ha! percisely I currently am working in a lounge bar tending so naturally I work with alot of university/college students etc...and more often then not I over hear a young university student say, " can't wait to get a real job." or something of the like. I always think to myself what exactly is a real job? A 9 - 5 cubicle or square office room that you report to 5 days a week for the rest of your natural life? Sounds more like a real living hell to me.

Well the problem and reason probably stems from the fact that "truth" and intelligence seem to be the least popular things on the planet.

"Who collects this money and who put them in power?"

Great post, its not just the populations of America or Canada that think they are "Free" here in the UK they wear the same rose tinted glasses pretending how lucky we are that we live in a free country with free speech, yeah righ.
Before Alex Collier came out with that quote " Why do you have to pay to live on a planet you were born on?" I mused over that question for years. No answers ever came, the world is so unjust. Also,Why do we have to pay to die? usually some payment is needed before your physical body is laid to rest or cremated.Like you point out... I am just another cash cylinder

I stand by the wisdom of Bill Hicks on this one. We pay for life with death, everything in between should be free.

It can be, but we have to work together. All of us. All 7 billion.

Therein lies the challenge.

cooperation is a natural phenomenon, where the need to control does not exist
