🇵🇪 PERU’S 6.1 MAGNITUDE STRIKE EARTHQUAKE RATTLES HALF A MILLION

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit just 4 miles west of San Pedro, Peru, about 125 miles southeast of Lima, shaking more than 500,000 people—some felt it over 100 miles away.

The quake struck deep underground—between 6 and 57 miles, depending on which scientists you ask.

No confirmed casualties yet, but emergency crews are on alert.

Last year’s bigger quake injured 8 and triggered tsunami warnings.
