🇷🇺🇦🇿 A raid was carried out today in Yekaterinburg, where Shahin Shikhlinsky, head of the “Azerbaijan-Ural” organization, was detained, according to local channels.

“Azerbaijan-Ural” is a prominent Azerbaijani diaspora group in Russia’s Urals region—active in cultural events, business networking, and maintaining close ties with Azerbaijani state and consular officials.

🇷🇺🇦🇿 The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moscow.

He provided explanations to Russia’s Foreign Ministry regarding the raid on Sputnik Azerbaijan, according to MFA spokesman Aykhan Hajizade.

Hajizade claimed the actions of law enforcement “fully complied with national laws and international obligations.” He added that the ambassador stressed there was “no reason for dissatisfaction from the Russian side.”

Also, my theory is, the Azeris are probably going to charge them all, including the Sputnik journalists, with espionage/terrorism, and exchange them for the Azeri spies Russian authorities are currently arresting.

Most of the Russian citizens the Azeris arrested, beat up & humiliated on camera - as "payback" for Russia arresting mobsters - appear to be random IT guys who fled Russia to the nearest random country after the SMO started.

‼️🇷🇺🇦🇿 Azerbaijan has now began a crack down on Russian citizens in the country.

9 Russian Sputnik journalists and staffers have been detained with many more in Baku on alleged "espionage and drug possession"

This comes in response to the Russian FSB raid Azeri drug mafias in Yekaterinburg. A case which took 20yrs but Azerbaijan claims Russia is attacking it's citizens and Russia is being Islamophobic.

No proof has been provided to why Russians are being detained instead we are provided with a slop video from the low IQ officials in Baku on their great raid on civilians. Almost like Hollywood helped them make this crap.

There's no justification for such aggression. When we react the west will call us the aggressors. I urge the Azerbaijani government act carefully and not become another throw away proxy.

‼️🇷🇺 Baku Hostages
On new arrests of Russians in #Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan continues to replenish the potential exchange fund by capturing hostages. Today, 7 more #Russian citizens were detained in Baku. Previously, employees of Sputnik and a journalist from the Ruptly video agency had already been detained.

According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainees are representatives of two organized crime groups engaged in online fraud and drug transit from Iran, but no evidence has been provided. The published footage shows that the Russians have signs of beatings, and the security forces treat them with demonstrative cruelty. Moreover, among the detainees are hardly representatives of organized crime groups, but rather relocators running businesses abroad.

The ongoing demonstrative campaign to take our compatriots hostage is nothing more than a continuing provocation demonstrating Azerbaijan's true attitude towards Russia.

And the possible presence of tourists among the detainees will make many wonder whether it is worth going to a state with not the most friendly policy, which is also prone to violations of the rights of Russians?

❗️Today, the protection of criminals is a priority for the Azerbaijani authorities, and they are ready to resort to the capture of civilians and other gangster methods to save their criminals from deserved punishments.

📌The escalation of the situation by Baku is the best moment to start a tough debriefing with the entrenched Azerbaijani organized crime groups within Russia, due to whose criminal actions the current crisis is unfolding.

Im not a big fan of Azerbaijan. In soviet union it was common practice to send people who got drafted to army to serve as far as possible from their home country. Estonians got sent to Chinese border and many from Azerbaijan were doing their military time in Estonia. After soviet union collapsed they largely remained here and 30 years later their mafia is still active here .

Russians detained in Azerbaijan granted consular access, Russian Embassy in Baku confirms

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS that consular staff had agreed on access to 13 Russian citizens detained in Azerbaijan
BAKU, July 3. /TASS/. The Russian embassy in Baku has confirmed that the Russians recently detained in Azerbaijan have been granted consular assistance.

"Consular access has been granted," the diplomatic mission said, but did not elaborate.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS that consular staff had agreed on access to 13 Russian citizens detained in Azerbaijan.

On June 28, the Investigative Committee’s branch for the Sverdlovsk region said it had suppressed a group involved in several murders committed in Yekaterinburg in the early 2000s. Eight defendants were taken into custody.

According to preliminary data, one of the defendants died from heart failure. The cause of death of the second person is being established. Their bodies were taken from Yekaterinburg to Baku, which said that a forensic medical examination detected signs of violence and protested to Russia.

Azerbaijan cancelled events with Russian participation, Russian journalists Igor Kartavykh and Yevgeny Belousov, and other Russian citizens were detained. Azerbaijan and Russia exchanged notes of protest, and diplomats were called in to the Foreign Ministries.

Seven months after the plane crash, we’ve received no response from Russian officials. Yet everything is clear—we know what happened, and so do they.

All we ask is simple: take responsibility, punish those involved, and compensate the victims and AZAL.

Our team found the plane riddled with shrapnel holes. Claims that a Ukrainian drone was responsible are absurd.

The aircraft was hit twice, and Russian airspace wasn’t closed until minutes after.

Despite repeated letters, Russia says only that “the investigation is ongoing.”

We’re now preparing to take the case to international court. It may take years—but justice must be done.

🇷🇺🇺🇦🇦🇿 BREAKING!! RUSSIA STRIKES AZERBAIJANI (ISRAELI) OIL ASSETS IN ODESSA!!

Russian Geran-2 drones have struck the Usatovo area in Ukraine’s Odessa region, targeting both a rail station and a fuel terminal operated by SOCAR, Azerbaijan’s state oil company.

This follows a similar Russian strike on August 6, when a SOCAR oil depot in Orlivka was hit, injuring employees and damaging the facility.

🛢️ SOCAR operates energy infrastructure across Ukraine, including terminals and logistics hubs. These repeated strikes have raised alarms in Baku.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev condemned the attacks and warned that Azerbaijan may reconsider its ban on supplying weapons to Ukraine if Russian strikes on Azerbaijani-linked energy sites continue.

These incidents come amid sharply rising tensions between Moscow and Baku, with SOCAR’s presence in Ukraine becoming an unexpected flashpoint in the broader conflict.

🇦🇿🇷🇺 Aliyev Blames Russia for Deteriorating Ties

President Aliyev of Azerbaijan has publicly laid the blame squarely at Russia’s doorstep, declaring that Baku has acted “constructively and legally,” while it’s Moscow’s behavior that has soured relations.

His grievances center on the December 2024 AZAL plane crash; he says Azerbaijan issued apologies for Russia shooting down a helicopter in 2020, but never received an apology in return.

He also condemned recent deaths of Azerbaijani nationals in Russia, officially attributed to heart attacks. Aliyev dismissed that explanation as unacceptable, saying:

“Even if they committed a crime 20 years ago, they are still people. We cannot be treated like this.”

When has Azerbaijan EVER acted "constructively and legally?"

Sota News,

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that Soviet rule occupied Azerbaijan.

This statement was made during an interview with the head of state for "Al Arabiya."

According to Aliyev, due to the country's entry into the Soviet Union, Azerbaijani territory was divided into two parts, and the Bolsheviks, who carried out the 1917 revolution, "deceived the people." "We created our own state. But the Bolsheviks took it from us," said Ilham Aliyev.

"In April 1920, the Russian army invaded and occupied Azerbaijan. In November of the same year, just a few months later, the government of Soviet Russia decided to take Zangezur, which we call Western Zangezur, from Azerbaijan and hand it over to Armenia. This is how Azerbaijan was split in two — into the main part and Nakhchivan, with Western Zangezur located between them," Aliyev added.

🚨♟️AZERBAIJAN CHECKMATES ITSELF BY SOURING TIES WITH RUSSIA

By arming Ukraine via Sudan, Azerbaijan has edged into open confrontation with Russia, experts warn.

Let's break it down 🧵👇

AZERBAIJAN RUNNING SHADOWY ARMS PIPELINE TO UKRAINE

Azerbaijani arms makers, with NATO partners in tow, are sneaking weapons into Ukraine through war-torn Sudan, Rwandan digital outlet Umuseke reports.

Here’s the twisted route 🧵

https://x.com/SputnikInt/status/1970106404133577149

1970106404133577149

1️⃣ WEAPONS CROSS THREE CONTINENTS

According the publication, Azerbaijan’s CIHAZ Industrial Association, under the Defense Ministry, is sending arms to Ukraine via a route that runs through Africa.

This drags the continent into the West–Russia crossfire.

2️⃣ REBRANDED ‘AID’

First stop: Diluju, Azerbaijani-Turkish border.

Then at Gaziantep’s Degirmen Makina zone, the cargo is rebranded as “humanitarian aid” before heading out, with war supplies masked as relief.

https://x.com/SputnikInt/status/1970106411242697210

1970106411242697210

3️⃣CARGO IN DISGUISE

Turkish & German ships ferry the load to war-torn Port Sudan, where it’s reborn as “Sudanese weapons.”

Then Swiss Mediterranean Shipping Company sails it to Hamburg—the final stop before the arms roll by land into Ukraine.

4️⃣WHY SUCH A COMPLICATED SCHEME?

The aim could be simple: Throw Russia off balance, Umuseke speculates.

Russia might then be baited into slapping sanctions on Azerbaijan, its political and trade partner and Caspian neighbor.

https://x.com/SputnikInt/status/1970106417362407600

1970106417362407600

5️⃣TURKISH-LICENSED FIREPOWER

Ukraine gets CIHAZ-supplied Tisas pistols, Hisar A+ MANPADS, bombs, and drone parts—mostly Turkish-made.

Kazakh media exposed CIHAZ’s Ukraine arms pipeline back in 2022.

6️⃣AZERBAIJANI ARMS ON THE MOVE

Beyond CIHAZ, firms like Technol LLC and Azersky have funneled weapons via Turkey, and experts warn the same scheme could repeat.

With Africa now on the route, some arms risk ending up with Sudanese rebels, fueling regional instability.

https://x.com/SputnikInt/status/1970106423922278710

1970106423922278710

7️⃣MIGS FOR UKRAINE

Azerbaijan has already sent weapons to Ukraine.

In 2023, three MiG-29 jets from Azerbaijan were allegedly camouflaged for Ukrainian forces and handed over to the regime, according to The War Zone analysts.

8️⃣ALIYEV PUSHES WAR MODELS

President Ilham Aliyev urged Ukraine to adopt a “Karabakh-style” military approach.

He received Ukrainian Armed Forces patches, hinted at lifting arms embargoes, and hosting Turkish bases.

Azerbaijan channels weapons to Ukraine via Sudan, masked as aid
——
Azerbaijan, with NATO partners, is reportedly supplying weapons to Ukraine via a complex route through Africa, including Sudan, according to Rwandan digital outlet Umuseke.

CIHAZ Industrial Association, under Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry, ships arms disguised as “humanitarian aid” through Turkiye and Sudan, before reaching Germany and then Ukraine. The supplies include Turkish-made pistols, MANPADS, bombs, and drone parts. Other Azerbaijani firms like Technol LLC and Azersky reportedly use similar channels.

This was reported by Reuters. According to the agency, the decision is related to the US and UK sanctions imposed on Lukoil in October. The US Treasury Department has given companies until November 21 to complete any transactions with Lukoil.

Previously, oil from the Caspian shelf was shipped to Azerbaijan either via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline or for processing at the SOCAR refinery. Now, Lukoil will redirect its supplies, and the oil will be transported via pipeline to a Russian port for further export.

First tanker carrying 5,000 tons of oil is expected to arrive in Makhachkala on November 7. In November, 30,000 tons of oil will pass through Makhachkala. Since December, Company has been planning to redirect 130,000 tons/month, which is the entire volume previously sent to Baku.

The capacity of the Makhachkala oil terminal is estimated at 400,000 tons per month. Regarding Kazakh oil, the routes for Kazakh oil from Aktau to Makhachkala remain unchanged, and 170,000 tons per month will continue to be sent to Novorossiysk.

Tankers carrying Kazakhstani oil are departing from Aktau to Makhachkala as scheduled. Lukoil has previously faced restrictions on transit through Azerbaijan, and in 2022, the company was forced to discontinue its supply through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline,

which is owned by a consortium led by British Petroleum. On October 30, Lukoil accepted an offer from the international energy trader Gunvor to fully sell its subsidiary, Lukoil International GmbH, which holds the group's foreign assets.

Lukoil's statement indicates that the decision to sell was driven by the sanctions pressure imposed on the company and its subsidiaries by several countries. Lukoil International GmbH is a holding company headquartered in Vienna that holds shares in

in over 100 international subsidiaries in approximately 50 countries worldwide. The potential transaction value has not been disclosed, but it is estimated to be around $10 billion based on fair value assessments. Gunvor is one of the largest oil and petroleum product traders,

as well as a significant player in the liquefied natural gas market. Gunvor has no outside shareholders: the company's CEO, Torbjörn Törnqvist, owns 84.2% of the shares, and the remaining shares are used to reward the company's employees.

As we know, my friends, the main activity of traders is market speculation: buying at a low price and selling it at a higher price. The only thing left is to find a product to speculate on and make money out of nothing. Well, take a walk around the market and look for...
